We love the building, staff and amenities! The move-in process was so easy thanks to the remarkable staff members. The apartment is so spacious and offers amazing views of the lake and Navy Pier! Overall, thrilled with it!

I first moved in in August the day of the airplane show. I was given access to go up to the roof top and watch the show even though the roof was over the limit. The staff was very helpful when I moved in with easy access to the freight elevator. I love having garbage disposal right on my floor. The construction that people comment about having issues with has rarely bothered me as a college student. The apartment complex holds cool events like free cupcake day. The laundry room being on the 21st floor has an amazing view and the machines are almost always available even on Sundays. The entrance to the building is nice for uber drivers to pull up into. The front door staff are friendly. The key only access to get through to the elevators adds an extra level of safety on top of having a door person 24/7 and on top of having a bolt lock on the apartment doors. Carpet when I moved in was perfectly clean and my windows were just washed clean. They keep up with maintenance cleaning the hallways on Sundays and if an elevator has an issue it is fixed within the next day.

I am counting down the days I get to move out. This building is the worst. I've lived here for 3 years now (first in a studio, now in a 1 bedroom). Cons: - Gym is junk - No Dishwasher in Studio - Communal washer/dryers - god awful quality - NONSTOP CONSTRUCTION (internal + external) SO LOUD ALL THE TIME - Can't control the heat in unit - Location (View is nice when its not obstructed by workers, but there is no grocery store or train nearby) You pretty much cannot ever be home between 8am-6pm during the week because there is non stop drilling outside. it is UNBEARABLE. They try to tell you that it won't affect your unit, but regardless of where the workers are, you can hear it throughout. Not to mention they told us this project would be a minimum of 3 YEARS. There is no rennovations in the lobby which have been going on for 5 months. They "re-did" the lobby and didnt even replace the floor. You can still see marks where the original walls were. What a piece of ----. It is disgusting to walk through the lobby every day with gross men gawking and making you feel uncomfortable. There's constant cigarette butts on the premise and I feel so unsafe with them around. Before the lobby renovations began, I emailed the management and asked about more information about the OUTSIDE work. They said it would be "on hold" through the winter months so it would be much better. I was hesitant to resign my lease but went ahead. ONE WEEK later, we get an email about the INSIDE work being done and how disruptive it would be. I was SO UPSET that I had just spoken to management about my dissatisfaction and they purposely did not tell me about the latest work that would be going on. The 1350 Commissary is overly expensive. I bought a HALF gallon of milk last week for $8. I am counting down the days that I get to move out of this hell hole. I am so disgusted with the management and the audacity to keep increasing rent every single year, despite the obvious decline in comfort, security and satisfaction. Don't let them fool you with their whole "once renovations are done, this will be an exceptional home." I hate it here.

We have loved our time at 1350/1360 North Lake Shore. The door staff, maintenance staff, and staff in the onsite market contribute to a community feel that we have found extremely valuable in such a large city. Our maintenance requests are always completed quickly and thoroughly and the staff is professional and friendly. There has been construction on the exterior of the building but they have made sure that the workmen move around on different floors so there is not continuous, all-day noise in one spot. Also, they have been very accommodating and the work stops at 5:30pm. We highly recommend this building and community.

It was a tough few months with a lot of maintenance issues. However maintenance staff was wonderful and management team was very responsive. They addressed my concerns quickly and thoroughly. Faster than I've experienced at other apartments.

Great community thus far! Move-in process was a breeze and the front desk staff were welcoming. Everyone in the community has been nice, and the amenities have been convenient (rooftop deck with grills, commissary, location, etc.).

Excellent community. The office response right away to any issues/requests. Most of the door people are extremely friendly. It's more like a community than an apartment building. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel like their apartment is their "home".

I love living in the apartment. However, the construction has been frustrating this year because I work from home. I was told the construction would not last for as nearly long as it has been. It is difficult for me to speak with my clients by phone with large noises coming directly above my unit. Very frustrating.

The location and view is great. The condition of the apartment is better than some other places that I saw. The walls could use painting and the carpet could be replaced. There is no noise from neighbors expect in the bathroom and unless you live near the elevator

The building is very spacious and affordable for the location and quality. It is close to downtown, yet far enough away for you to experience more of a neighborhood feel. Also, it is very convenient that the building is pet (dog) friendly. It has been a great place to live thus far.

The past year living at 1350 has been incredibly disappointing. As an 8-year resident, I'm sorry to say that the building's management and constant state of construction has become too much to bear so we're leaving when our lease is up. **Note: the building offered a $500 raffle for residents to write positive reviews here in 2017, so take that into consideration when reading glowing reviews. For over 1 year now we've had construction scaffolding surrounding the building, and workers on the roof. The walls inside our unit are cracking from the non-stop work, making us and the building maintenance team question the structural safety. The noise seems like it's non-stop at this point, and will continue until 2018 per management's reports to us as tenants. The constant sound of drilling (or hammering) is making us crazy! In addition, my unit and over 2 dozen others had considerable water damage from the rain this weekend. Unfortunately that's not uncommon in this building. The door staff and maintenance team are simply lovely people. Kristen, the building assistant manger, is the only one that really does anything. The building manager not been responsive to the continued state of disrepair the building has been in for the past year, and will continue to be in for at least another year while they finish this major "facade" work. (Read: a tenant's window reportedly fell into his apartment because the building hadn't been maintained property for years.) The address is great and the rooftop patio is lovely, but renter-be-ware, as this building doesn't live up to the first impression.

1350/1360 N. Lake Shore Drive is a great apartment complex. It is my first time moving out on my own and this is a great place to start out at. The neighborhood and apartment complex is safe, clean, and well kept. A lot of apartments in Chicago don't update the apartment complexes. At 1350/1360 N. Lake Shore Drive, that's not the case. They really do a great job with updating the apartment complex and making it look nice. It is reassuring to know the money I am putting in for rent is going right back to where I am living. That was really important to me when I was looking for a place. Even though there is construction going on, (it is loud) the noise is tolerable. I even work the night shift and I manage to sleep through it! Also the management team are so nice and helpful!!

Very courteous staffing, prompt service, dog dog friendly! Move-in was a breeze thanks to Lindell the front desk attendant as I was moving from Detroit and knew nobody. Love it here. Renovations to the lobby will really enhance the first impression appearance.

Overall, it's been a positive experience. I feel safe within my community. It's socially active, which I appreciate - it's always great to know who your neighbours! I would certainly recommend this neighbourhood and my community to friends/family.

Very unhappy with my experience thus far. The application process was horrible with various office members giving conflicting information, web site issues, and then losing documents that were signed. It made the move in process extremely stressful and almost caused me to lose out on even getting an apartment because they changed the requirement for what they initially said would be acceptable documentation for financial proof. I had to scramble to find a guarantor within 24 hours that made over $100,000 even though financially speaking I could prove I made enough money for the apartment. Otherwise they were going to increase the rent price for the apartment if I didn't get someone within that period of time. The office staff misplaced documents, even digital ones, causing delays and the need for the same documents to be signed multiple times. This was further complicated by website issues that made it virtually impossible to do anything online because you would constantly be kicked out of the system or documents couldn't be saved. Apparently they weren't saved even when the system said they were. Now that I am finally moved in I've had issues with the apartment tub not draining, even after being serviced by maintinence, and a leak from the living room window for which a tech didn't come to the apartment for over 12 hours because it began after hours at 6:30 pm during a storm. They didn't show up until the next morning and stated everything was ok with the window. Of course the window will seem ok when it's sunny and not raining. I have video documentation of constant dripping water and had to put down towels on the window seal to prevent the water from spilling over into the floor. I reported this issue through the complex online resident portal and called the number listed online to report the issue as well. Seriously questioning my decision to move to 1350 lakeshore apartments.

The overall experience of living in this building is not satisfactory. Multiple restoration projects throughout the year which are noisy and inconvenient. The halls are not cleaned regularly. The elevators are problematic and not reliable. Better value and quality apartments available. I do not recommend this place.

The building is outdated. The entrances and roof look great, but everything else is dark, gloomy, and old. Apartments are far from luxury or anywhere competitive for their price point compared to other neighborhoods. You're paying for the location and rooftop view. In the GC, it's not a bad deal. That is, if construction doesn't take major amenities (the roof) out of commision for extended periods.

This building is completely over priced and not worth the money. Additionally, they have been doing construction for over a year and it is a mess and extremely loud. Do not move here if you want a quiet nice home.

Our building is undergoing a massive construction project. We were told that our unit would not be directly affected by this project only to find out well after signing our lease that it would (that they will be drilling into the brick right outside our unit). Management offered up two significantly inferior apartments and told us we would need to move our own things if we wanted to get away from the construction. Their communication was dismissive and their overall handling of the matter was unprofessional. In the end, we left with no resolution to the matter.

For the most part the construction is over so the building is back to being quiet during the day. If you need something short term, quiet and safe this is an acceptable option. I would not stay here long term though, you will run into issues and it's clear the building as a whole is on the downswing. Also, ignore the fitness center, laundry room and entry. Instead ask how much cable costs now that the building unbundled, how humid it gets during the summer (you will need a dehumidifier,) dry in the winter (you'll need a humidifier,) ask the front door staff how they are treated and keep in mind the rooftop is great during the summer but on the weekends it gets packed with alcoholic children.

Great building! They're in the middle of renovating the common areas, but I absolutely love how much space I have in my one bedroom. The amazing rooftop was what make me commit! One of the best rooftops overlooking Lake Michigan.
