So far, our experience at the grand Plaza has been good. The maintenance man was a bit rude when we moved in, but all other staff of been very accommodating. The apartment itself is very nice, and the location is perfect. We are looking forward to living here.

It's a great location but the units are outdated. No overhead lighting so you need several lamps. The appliances are old and unreliable. The bathroom is laid out strangely and the kitchen is inefficient - definitely not good for someone who cooks.

This was the worse move in process I have ever experienced. Apartment was not properly cleaned, the appliances are in poor condition, the walls of the unit have cracks, and the staff other than the front door staff is terrible. I would never recommend anyone to live here. They need a new leasing team and new management that actually care about the tenants that live in the building.

We have lived in this building for over 5 years and have really enjoyed all of the building activities as well as the outdoor amenities. It is also nice to have a jewel downstairs and plenty of restaurants in walking distance.

We lived in a one-bedroom unit here for five years and simply outgrew it. We now live in a two-bedroom unit, higher up, and we love everything about it. The building staff is perfect - professional, personable. The rent is a little steep, of course, but we get a lot of value. Other than it is noisy from time to time (neighbors and their pets), overall it is one of the very best places at which we've lived.

Grand plaza is a great place to live in the heart of downtown Chicago. The place is clean and has updated units. An underrated factor to the Grand Plaza units are their size. Most new places in Chicago are very small. The staff is friendly and responds to maintenance requests quickly.

The Grand Plaza is a wonderful place to live. Great neighborhood and central to everything River North has to offer. The amenities are clean and very spacious. The gym can certainly replace other gym memberships; the pool is well kept and gets plenty of sun; and there are several large community areas with TV's, couches, grills, etc. The apartments are newly renovated with nice appliances and well-functioning washer/dryers. Great views and spacious balconies!

Great apartment, great building, great location and fantastic amenities. Grand plaza really has it all. You'll pay for it, but its worth it! The staff are super friendly too, shoutout to Pierre and Chris! Really I have little, if anything, bad to say!

BEWARE! Do not rent at Grand Plaza! The floors in this building are severely slanted (2.5 inches+) and the leasing staff and management do not disclose this to you even though they are well aware of the problem. The slant is so drastic in my unit that things roll down the floor and hit the wall (see attached images). I noticed this discrepancy once the movers started moving my furniture into the unit. It is absolutely ridiculous. Even the person who installed my television said, "I can't believe people pay a premium to rent here with the floors like this." My rent is $2,730 for a one-bedroom, one bath. The management and leasing staff are not transparent and do not disclose that the floors are severely warped. Some of the leasing staff members are rude and have poor communication and business skills. One of the managers even told me that I couldn't bring my broker into the discussion regarding the severely slanted floors. Of course, I still did include him. Building staff legally cannot tell a tenant who they can or cannot talk to. They did offer to move me to another unit, but unfortunately, all the units with this floor plan have the exact same problem, and the other floor plans won't fit my furniture. I chose this building because of its location and because they were renovating the units. However, if I had known about the severity of the floors, among other things, I never would have rented at Grand Plaza.

The community is amazing door staff are so wonderful maintenance is great management is very responsive and the dog park could use a little updating with heat lamps and neuter but otherwise so awesome to have in the building!

It's fine - I don't think they handled the pandemic well or all the violence that is happening outside to keep us safe. Would like the common areas to be cleaned more and would like the property to care for those who stuck with them through the pandemic.

Great experience living in this building. The staff (leasing office, maintenance, door staff) are always friendly and helpful. The units are very spacious and the appliances are modern and in good condition. There are great amenities available to all residents and the location is convenient. The building is right above a grocery store and next to the Red line. Management has taken proper steps to deal with the pandemic and keep residents safe. Good value for the space, utilities, and amenities (especially with the rent specials)

it has been the best I could hope for coming right out of college - the value is great, but I have been a little bit disappointed in the fact that when we were looking at two bedrooms - the price dropped by about 300 dollars per month right after we re signed our 1 bedroom lease.

I never had a chance to use 'apartment ratings' do no clue how this works. As per Grand Plaza is concerned, I absolutely like the location in the middle of all the action in Rivernorth, Chicago. Very much convenience when it comes to grocery as Jewel Osco is part of the building. All the floors are concrete and so are the walls in between the apartments that give a unique sense of unparalleled privacy and no noise issues compared to most high rise in the city.
