We have a unit that faces north, we have a beautiful view of the skyline, lake and sunsets out west. For a one bedroom, we feel we have a good amount of square footage. The pool is a huge benefit in the summer months, although it does fill up quickly and it's typically a party atmosphere rather then relaxing.

Overall a great apartment. Very very spacious units, and the amenities are very nice. Location is also right in the middle of River North. Only, issue I have had with the apartment is that the building is in a partnership of somewhere with a not so great internet provider.

Great building amenities but unsafe. Office staff are arrogant and garage is a joke. Security sleeps in their car. Thieves and criminals run the garage and street. Suspect neighborhood and building isn't safe

Great building with lots of amenities, I've enjoyed it tremendously! I love the happy hours and getting to know my neighbors, such a fun atmosphere to live in. Definitely tour it if you're interested in it!

We have had a great experience so far. The staff and amenities are great. Pool is amazing in the summer. Friendly neighbors. Located near great bars and restaurants. Entertainment and shopping centers are close too.

The apartment complex is really great. Friendly door staff, great amenities including pool, sauna, work out facility, half court basketball court, etc. The tenants are very friendly and make for great neighbors. The location is great with a grocery store not right next door. The apartment itself is very spacious and has great city views. The only issues are internet service is very poor and the air conditioning is building wide which can be difficult with it getting too hot.

This is the best building I've ever lived in; can't beat the amenities and staff. Everything is very well-maintained and any request you have is completed very quickly. The Managment Office is always very quick to help you and go out of their way for any kind of assistance you need

Front desk staff is great. The building needs to communicate better with its residents. Not just a cut a paste monthly newsletter. The neighborhood has changed for the worst. Not the same neighborhood I moved into before.

Love my new home

The move-in is super easy here with everyone around being very helpful. Especially, Halli and Isaiah made every step as easy as it could get by responding to every question and problem I had promptly. The apartment and the appliances were in a great condition. The building has ample amount of amenities such as gym, pool, dog run and so on. I am very happy with the move and I am loving my new home.

Amazing Experience!

I moved into this apartment about a week ago and the entire process has been nothing short of amazing/easy. Halli specifically has been so helpful, starting with the tour, pairing me with my perfect apartment (considering my budget, everything I absolutely needed, etc.), reserving the elevator for me when I wasn’t able to login, and answering any and all questions I had in a timely manner. I would highly recommend the Grand Plaza/Halli to anyone looking for a new apartment!

Fantastic Apartment and Move in Experience

I recently moved into a convertible apartment from the suburbs in another state. From the very beginning it was a smooth, hassle free experience. I was dreading the coordination of moving especially because my stuff was getting there before me. But everyone I dealt with, especially Hallie in the residential management office, and Isaiah the resident relations coordinator, was very responsive, professional and happy to help. And trust me, I had a lot of questions! The apartment is like new and spacious, with a huge balcony. The amenities and location can't be beat for the price.

Halli is Amazing

I just moved into my apartment with my roommate in Grand Plaza. I had an amazing experience with the leasing office, specifically Halli, who went above and beyond in making my roommate and I's move-in process smooth. She answered all questions super quickly and always has a smile on her face! We are grateful for her help! :)

I've had a great experience at Grand Plaza and with the management and leasing teams (shoutout to Halli who has been super helpful!). They've always assisted in a timely manner when anything comes up and have treated me kindly. The area does get loud at times but the location is as good as gets, the amenities are robust, and the balconies are a big plus. Looking forward to hopefully staying here for a at least a few more lease terms.

Great Place to Live

I moved in to The Grand Plaza a few months ago and I love living here so far! Halli was incredibly helpful when we were touring and looking at apartments. We even signed before seeing our actual unit! She is personable and friendly and helped us find our dream apartment.

The floors are not level- it's very strange and disorienting. The front desk and package staff are great. Maintenance is quick to help you. The jewel location is convenient but the people always loitering outside is not ideal.

Great place to live besides constant wifi issues

I have no bad things to say about the building other than the constant internet outages. They began a couple of months ago and have continued to persist. Very frustrating if you work from home to have wifi go out without any information on if / when the issues will be resolved. Friends in the building have had the same issues as well. We have been assured in the past that they have been fixed and they have not been. Very frustrating that you cannot input your own router and have your own wifi in the apartment. If you require a job that is full time work from home, this probably isn’t the place for you.

It comes down to the service!

I fell in love with the building when I first toured the property and knew this would be my future home. And what a good decision it has been. Everyone has been so gracious from the staff at Grand Plaza. But most notably, Halli the property manager. I had an issue with my apartment smelling like smoke when I first moved in and she promptly engaged cleaners, engineers anyone and everyone till the problem was fixed. They did a wonderful job and my apartment smells brand new! Trust me you want to live here.

Friendly and efficient management at a building with great amenities

Grand Plaza is a great building located in the heart of Chicago with wonderful amenities and a friendly, welcoming staff. Halli has been great to work with and extremely helpful in a time where I was super busy, and without her cheerful guidance the move-in process would’ve been more difficult for me. Definitely recommend the building for any young professionals working in downtown.
