Excellent community. But our neighbors above us walk a lot and it disturbs us. Otherwise overall great. Management is excellent they respond to your questions right away. Overall the community is been very friendly.

Bad..ive seen 3 body bags with my 11 year old..almost been killed twice..attacked 4 times been robbed once and 2 bikes stolen!! Almost kicked out for raising my voice outside the office....apartment is filled with smoke everyday...

It was really easy to apply, I know there's an application fee but it was taken out of my first month's rent which was good. So far I have no complaints. It's easy to get into my apartment. Parking is really good.

Nick with maintenance is awesome! My maintenance concerns have been addressed and repaired in one visit. He even took care of a minor issue that I had with a broken blind. He was extremely professional and kind.

The apartments are affordable and a good place for someone looking for a younger community. The buildings themselves are outdated, however the actual apartment is quaint and renovated. Move in was relatively easy.

The staff needs to show a bit more dedication. They are supposed to be there to help. In many occasions certain situations could of been avoided. Including getting over charged just because the staff does not comunicate amongs each other. Ellyn Crossing has changed so much since I have moved here. Not good changes. Instead of moving forward and working together it is the opposite. I have never missed a payment even with covid. It is extremely sad how this area now is so polluted with garbage.

Ellyn Crossing is a safe and affordable apartment complex. It's a large community with several amenities and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I like that they have options for pets and the green space is great for kids and pets. Not all of the buildings have entrance/exits, just stairs to the units. And the apartments vary in how renovated they are (prices will vary).

Moving here was very easy! From touring to applying to moving in, everything went very well. After we moved in, we started smelling some cigarette smoke in our apartment. When we notified the front desk, they acted quickly and responsibly, and we havent smelled smoke since. The management is clearly looking out for its residents. We are happy to be here!

The staffing is fine, but the smell of Marijuana odor is in my bedroom as I'm texting. I like my apartment, but I feel like a prisoner in my own apartment. I don't care about other people issues surrounding me. I've always paid my rent on time, never bother maintenance about anything, but contacted office asking to be transferred to another area, but tell me there's nothing available. But the office continuing showing apartments available, I believe that they should accommodate residents who are living there 1st, especially if they are issues involved. Please help me get this apartment. Last year water was running inside my apartment, I asked to be moved, but I allowed them to talk me out to moving. Of it took about 4 months for them to redo walls, ceiling and to finally paint the walls and clean carpet, so I'm frustrated, when I come home from work, I do not want to smell cigarettes and Marijuana,Sylvia Crenshaw

Good price. They do not provide dog friendly salt in the winter, but claim to be a dog friend community. Its a good neighborhood but sometimes can get dangerous, when visitors come and they dont care about the community.

Very good experience overall except maintenance takes forever to come. Except for that its pretty good . Wish the fitness center was 24 hrs that way people who work weird hours can enjoy the center also .

From April 2015 to September 2019, I was treated extremely well, despite loud music from next door in 2018 not ever being dealt with (the last few months have been mostly quiet, but he's come back in the past few days). Then, as soon as I was late with my rent in September 2019, is when I started to feel worthless & be treated as such. I was treated extremely rudely (by a woman who is no longer with the company, thankfully), and given no consideration for the four prior years of good service. There was no attempt to find some way to work with me other than the "payment plan" which if any logical person analyzed it, it's not only not helpful for the immediate, but becomes a detriment in the long run. Then as soon as COVID shut everything down in 2020, that matter of "if you have trouble paying us, you're worthless" got 10 times worse. October 2020 I was threatened with eviction again, which would've made me homeless during a global pandemic, and was only resolved when I found a pro-bono lawyer to step in on my behalf. Since November 2020, my apartment has reeked of cigarettes, and I have respiratory problems (the biggest reason apart from my arm/back/leg disabilities why I've been unemployed this long) that are being made exponentially worse. Since December 2020, 429-2B's dog has been barking almost nonstop. On New Year's Eve, it barked for 14 hours straight, from 6pm NYE to 8am New Year's Day. She leaves it out on the porch in all kinds of weather, and has only taken both dogs out for a walk twice since she got them - neither time with any leashes, and they run all over the place, including into the street - so god only knows how/where they're urinating/defecating. I used to love living here. It was my favorite place I ever lived. And now I can't wait to get out. Except I have no job, no money, and nowhere to go, as my parents are in a retirement community, my siblings aren't talking to me because I've asked them for financial assistance for rent here too many times, all of my friends are married with kids, and the last time I lived with roommates I didn't know, they robbed me. Also, every single person in my life has told me I've been getting ripped off due to the skyrocketing cost of rent compared to the size of the unit & outside issues that keep happening & aren't getting dealt with. And with no feedback from me, any friend that has visited me has heard the loud music & birds "screaming" (chirping isn't an accurate enough description) & dogs barking, they wouldn't move here even if I did ask them to. In fact, before COVID, people had stopped visiting me, because of the circumstances involved (I'm on the top most floor, and some of the music has been so loud, it's rattled my windows).

I recently moved due to numerous issues. 1.) Maintenance will knock three times and announce themselves. If you do not answer they will unlock your door with an extra set of keys and enter your apartment. This was totally unprofessional, unacceptable and very scary. What if you are in the shower and unable to hear the knock. The walls are very thin so you can hear a pin drop from your neighbors. They sent an email out back in Sept advising not to use the balcony and we were never given an estimated time of repair. The balcony is one of the features that attracted me to the apartment. If we cant use balcony then deduct some of the rent. I have anxiety and during this pandemic I sometimes needed to step out for air but unfortunately it was forbidden. I never saw anyone attempting to even work on fixing the issue. I found a better apartment and much cheaper.

I wouldnt recommend renting here unless you are super flexible on constant smell of weed smoke, and nosy neighbors with noise. Not only that you pay for amenities that you cannot use. Balconies are out of order, and they have a gym but only for use during office hours 10-6 and the average working person cannot use it. Paying money for things you cannot use, I understand the gym is because covid but the balconies arent. Constantly needing maintenance to fix things as well. Though the maintenance guy Nicholas is very friendly and efficient, so thats a plus.

Extremely disappointed they still demanded raising my rent during a global pandemic. Still wont ever get over that one. Did everything I could to try to keep the price the same. Lost hours at work, working in healthcare. Moving out as soon as my lease is up.
