Everyone keeps to themselves for the most part which is nice. Maintenance issues are a bit of a pain though!! I would recommend this for someone who may have a family, there are always lots of community events available.

It hasn't been great. My packages were getting stolen in the first year, and the office staff just told me to get a ring camera. A dog keeps peeing in the building and I've complained to office staff but they've never responded. My fire alarm goes off every time I'm cooking. A person committed armed suicide in the leasing office. I reached out with questions and the office staff never responded. Once I went into the maintenance office because they were encouraging residents to do so to sign up for a parking pass, and a white male employee with a buzz cut didn't greet me and played on his phone for 5 minutes until another staff member forced him to help me. He then messed up my name on the parking pass. When I first moved in, I put in a work order for a broken outlet and the maintenance person back then basically said nothing was wrong. That outlet is still falling out of the wall lol. The maintenance man John Gentile is incredibly rude to me every time we've ever interacted. I seriously do not like how he talks down to me. Other than that, living here has been ok. I like the mirrors in my unit. The neighbors in my building seem nice.

I moved here in the year 2000 into a two bedroom when they sold the place. I moved into one bedroom living in the bedroom for six years now., everybody is very nice here. I have never had a problem with any of my neighbors we all have gotten along great. It's just a great place to move to where everybody is friendly and understanding.

pros:amenities (when open) and maintenance. Cons: everyone smokes in units and your clothes smell all the time of stale cigarettes. You pay an extra 5 bucks to get your rent bill. Pay for utilities that aren't part of your unit. The balconies are not the same size some are smaller and less space. They don't clean the hallways. They should do yearly inspections like they use to of the units as some people don't clean and that brings bugs. Leasing office can be hard to get through to. Most the staff in there is nice.

Horrible! Roaches! Ceiling leaking! They try to tow your car. They just want your money here. Don't live here. It's bad. They charge $5 for outside lights a month. Their pools always closed due to beer bottles being broken in it

It's ok, just hate trash and people that break washers and dryers, and the loud ones that come at 4 am with music blasting. I think it's the people that live here mostly, not blaming the management. Many times i've seen people being disrespectful to property and disregarding rules. Just annoying.

I am living here since 3 yrs,I never had issues for 2 yrs but since 1 yr ,I have issues with bugs,rest everything is fine,neighborhood is good,surroundings are peaceful. I will still consider living here.

I haven't had an awful experience at Ellyn Crossing, but you get what you pay for. Things are broken, dirty, unkept. My outer doors in my building almost never lock. Maintenance rarely does what you ask, and loves to just close your requests without anything actually happening, and then you have to call the office to figure out why. I complain, but my rent is affordable and my apartment itself is just fine. Live here if it works for you, but expect inept management & maintenance.

I love that it's very quiet and clean. Very close to schools and a nice park. Also very close to shopping and the highway. Feels very safe for my kids. Office staff very nice and maintenance responds promptly and does excellent job.

This is a decent starter place to rent at depending on your budget and have some perks such as being close to lots of things like Woodfield mall (15-20 minutes), shopping strip (8-10 minutes) and restaurants close by.
