During our time living at Woods of Britton, we would have said we had few complaints aside from cost. However, post move out, dealing with the Woods of Britton has been hell. Our new place had issues with mail delivery (a package that was noted as returned to sender on August 6th, 2012, ended up being delivered four months later), and much of our mail ended up being lost, never returned to sender. However, upon a phone conversation with Mary in the office, the Woods of Britton makes it a PRACTICE to only send out ONE notice post move out of any charges that are due on the account. So, imagine our surprise, when four months later we get a collections call from a very rude and offensive collections agency. The woman did not introduce herself or provide her company name after being asked to repeat the name after her first introduction was mumbled and incoherent. I called the Woods of Britton to confirm the name of the agency they used, so that this could be dealt with, and Mary refused to provide the name. She was more than happy to provide the same unworking number that we had already been given. Overall, great living there, lovely location (though traffic is horrible), and the neighbors are nice. However, the rent increase that made us move should have been an indication that the Woods of Britton did not deal fairly with their requests for money. The lack of notification of an outstanding balance is proof of this.

Me and my girlfriend have lived at at the Woods Of Britton for two years and have LOVED every minute of it. When you call maintenance they come the next day, if not THE SAME DAY! We had a flood in the middle of the night from our toilet which leaked to the apartment below. They came out the same night, fixed it, and also called in a carpet cleaning service, who cleaned everything and left us to continue enjoy our lives. The crazy thing is we never had to make a call about any of this. The up keep on these apartments is ridiculous. They fixed potholes before they became an issue, painted signs before they became old, planted new grass to improve the overall beauty of our community and kept us in the loop on all of the maintenance items. Any friends that come over instantly fall in love with our apartments. I doesn't make you feel boxed in, as some apartments can. The safety in this area is great as we have walked (along with many others) the grounds MANY times at night and never felt threatened. The ONLY issue we ever had with these apartments is that we lived in the woods so you sometimes get the insects that come with it. This is a very small con to living in a place with so many pros. I have stayed in many apartments and none can hold a candle to how great these apartments have been. They have, in my mind set the standard. The only reason I must leave is that we need more space and the 2 Bedroom is our of our price range at the moment. If this was not the case I would DEFINITELY be staying at The Woods of Britton until I purchased a house.

I lived here for 2 years. The Staff was great and went above and beyond. The main issue with the apartment was all the late night booming music from the Britton Tavern. The apartment was a nice size and community kept up well.

Great Apartment!
I moved into my apartment at the Woods of Britton back in August 2010. The apartment was completely re modeled before I moved into it. The apartment still looks brand new today as it did the day that I moved into it. The building that I live in is pretty quiet. The apartment complex has sufficient lighting during the night time. The Staff is very helpful and courteous. If something does break in the apartment, maintenance will fix it within a day or two.

Great Complex
I moved in at the end of October 2011 and I loooooove my apartment. Being on the 2nd floor and surrounded by trees is the best. :) It's pretty quiet and very well maintained. After 7 months of living here, I have absolutely no complaints about this complex. The traffic, however, has become exponentially worse. I try to avoid 69 at all costs, but now Allisonville is becoming just as bad. It's hard to reconcile sitting in my car for an hour to drive 15 miles. Sadly, I do not plan on renewing my lease because of this. I am definitely going to miss it! :( If you work close by, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND W.o.B.!

I am impressed
Even though I have only lived here a few months, first impressions are everything, and Woods of Britton has not disappointed me! I look forward to living here for many months to come. I cannot say enough good things about the leasing staff and maintenance crew. Very happy resident!

an awesome place to live
We just moved out of the complex last week, and even though we were only there for about 6 months, it was by far the best place we'd lived to date. The office staff was always really nice, the maintenance guys were quick with our requests, even when we had to call them out for an emergency Sunday call (our smoke alarms went off because of a short in one of them). Our neighbors were all extremely friendly, and even the kids playing around the complex were respectful of the cars and our property. Even though we didn't like living in Indiana, at least the apartment was a great place to live. I know this all sounds like one of those staff-written reviews, but it really was nice to be in an apartment that felt like a real home.

Blast from the past!
We were one of the first to live in the apartments many years ago. At the time, the staff was courteous and of course everything was new except the clubhouse if I remember correctly. Only two sections were completed and the others were under construction. We left after our one year lease as did the manager. I'm not sure what that was all about but we left because they were raising our rent and adding many "new" fees. My only complaint during our stay was it was difficult to enter State Road 37 from 141st street. I remember telling the manager that I hoped they would put a light there eventually. Unfortunately, there was nothing else around us but a golf course and fields. Imagine my surprise when we recently moved back to Indiana from Florida and we drove past our old complex. Wow! We were considering looking at these apartments again but some of these reviews concern me.

Terrible office staff!
My fiance and I checked this place out and seemed to be very nice. We inconveniently went there because the lady on the phone we spoke with said there was only 1 apartment available at this time. We were there for almost 3 hours, and what seemed to be a century! After it was all said and done, we ended up being mislead into thinking that the credit report was not necessarily based on a credit score, but rather to see if we had any evictions, bankruptcy, etc. (In which I might add we are excellent tenants!) We became denied for some "unknown" reason, and they still collected our $100!! Almost every other apartment complex we visited waived our fees because we are college students. These people are not willing to work with you. The manager kept interrupting me when I spoke with her on the phone, which is completely rude and unprofessional. They robbed us right before our eyes!!

Renting to ANYONE...!!!
Staff is personable, maintainence is adequate, other residents are trashy, TRASHY, T-R-A-S-H-Y !!! The fact is, the porches and patios are being used as storage for some residents' bags of trash and waste. Six, seven, nine (or more) bags at a time !!! Does "management" care? I think no...Because THEY don't live there. I think maybe paying well over $1,000/month is a bit much to live in a "-------like" environment. Am I wrong in my thinking? I KNOW Fishers, Indiana has "littering" and "trash disposal" code ordinances...93.09, 93.99, etc (2-5-73) Authorities need to be contacted concerning these situations. Residents fear "retribution" management is apathetic. If they would address these problems, maybe they could attract a better class of residents AND keep the ones they already have !!! Several years ago I used to recommend Woods of Britton as a nice place to live...Now when I have friends over, the first thing they see is damaged blinds in the windows, trash on the porches and in the pick-up trucks. Sadly, I'm NOT proud to live here anymore...:-(

I lived here for almost 3 years and I loved it. The staff was always friendly and professional and the maintenance staff was prompt and courteous. Never felt unsafe or the fear of a break in, but the only complaint I have is the high heating, cooling bills. The room farthest away from the unit was always hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. These apartments are not insulated well.

Great place to live
I have lived at Woods of Britton for almost 5 years, and everything has been great. The staff and maintenance have all been very helpful. I would recommend these apartments to anyone. I have not had any major problems, and if I ever did have a problem, the staff would fix anything in a very timely manner. I give this complex a 5 out of 5.

Good Place to Live
I have lived here for almost 5 years now and have never had a problem. The grounds are well kept and the office staff is very friendly. The maintenance staff were always on time, well prepared, and got the job done right. I enjoy my stay here and would definitely recommend this property.

Excellent place
The Woods of Britton was a wonderful place to live, friendly and effective staff, 24 hr or less maintenance response, parking, quiet, atmosphere everything. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a decent and comfortable place to live without worries.

Wish I could find another place like this one
I was very pleased with my time at Woods of Britton, and if I didn't have to move to Illinois I would still be living there. Parking: I was always able to find parking relatively close to my apt, however sometimes all the spaces near my place were taken and I'd have to park 40-50yds down the row, but that was rare. Noise: Yes, it is right next to 37, and yes you'll hear the traffic. My apartment was in one of the buildings closest to the road, so literally standing on my balcony I was looking right at 37. I honestly didn't mind all that much, never did I think to myself, "damn those cars are loud!" The only time you can really hear them anyway is when the weather is nice and you have your windows open, and then it's just a bit of background noise. In terms of other noise, I found the apartment to be very well built/insulated, to the point where in my entire year there I NEVER heard a peep from any other tenants. Maybe I lucked out and lived near quite people, but aside from the sounds of 37, my place was totally noise-free. Grounds/Safety: I'm no landscape architect or anything, but I thought the grounds were very attractive and well-kept. Grass cut regularly, hedges trimmed, flowers planted nicely - I was actually proud to bring friends to my place so they could see how nice my complex was. The grounds are well-lit and inviting. I'd frequently go for jogs around the complex late at night, and it was always a pleasant experience, never any "questionable" activity going on or weirdos lurking about to make my want to alter my route. Instead, friendly people who would wave as I went by. Construction: From my experience, I never had a problem with perceiving the apartment to be cheaply constructed. The washer/dryer however are VERY basic models (read: cheap), but that's just being nit-picky, they worked and I had clean clothes on my back. Maintenance: Only had a few instances when we had to put in a maintenance request. One time our water-heater was dripping (there was a drip-pan so nothing was getting wet, but we could hear it dripping), and was fixed promptly the next day. There are lots of spiders in the grounds around the complex, be prepared to have many webs and dime-sized arachnids making their home on your balcony. Was never too big a deal, the complex is aware of the spider issue and will come out and spray your balcony whenever you request it. And it was only outside, inside was totally bug-free. Staff: The staff were great, never any issue whatsoever. Always very friendly and helpful. We also rented a garage unit because my roommate and I had so much crap we needed the extra space. The garages are NICE, with a big truck parked inside, was plenty of room for storage, plus there are electric outlets in there for you. Really, they are nice garages - we could have rented it out to a homeless guy to live in, but we needed the space :) Anyway, about the garage, when we first visited and got a quote for what our expenses would be for the year, they put down the wrong price for the garage - $45 instead of $90. When we went to sign the lease, we noticed that the lease had the correct price of $90 written in for the garage, but they changed it to $45 because that's what we had been incorrectly quoted. I thought that was a class act. So overall, this place was great - and I'd still be living there if I didn't move out of Indiana. I see that below you can add pictures of the apartment, and while I don't have any photos, I do have a video walk-through that I sent to my parents: http://video.google.com/videoplay[question mark]docid=4824087031204993399 (Edit: Apparently you can't type question marks in this field without them being replaced, so replace [question mark] above with an actual one.) I lived in the 2 bedroom "Walnut" floor plan.

Go elsewhere
I am just not happy here at all. Between the traffic which they cant help, but the age inside, to the homely clubhouse to the sound of 37 all day long. I just wish I would have gone where I wanted and not where the best deal was. A sales girl told me that if the specials are really big than they must have someone bad they are covering up, I thought she was just trying to get me to lease, and I was wrong. Spend the extra $10 a month, go where it makes the most sense, this place is just not for me...

Not Happy
I know that this is opinion based, but I had a very bad experience. I don't think I was being picky but I had poor service time, my apartment was not ready at move in and I could never get a hold of the manager when I needed to. I just moved to another complx in Fishers and I am so much happier. Oh and not to mention this location is a cluster in the morning and when I came home...renter beware!

Highly recommended
My wife and I lived here for two years and enjoyed it very much. From the day we went to look at an apartment to the day we left, the staff was always very friendly and kind. The apartment is by far the cleanest I've lived in and the grounds are kept up very nicely. The grounds/maintenance crew were awesome as well! They always said hello and added an awesome touch to the already friendly atmosphere. I had no troubles with these things but I do have friends in other buildings that did mention that their mailbox was too far away and that their parking spaces always seemed to fill up with random cars, which made them park and walk in the bad weather to their own home. Other than that though we had no problems. Our neighbors weren't the friendliest but that isn't the WOB's problem. Thanks again!!!!!!

Definitely recommended
I relocated to the state of IN for work and chose Woods of Britton for its proximity to the office, as well as the fairly spacious apartment in a nice, clean, and safe neighborhood. The staff is always nice and courteous. Because of my travel schedule, there has been many occasions when my mail was picked up and placed inside the apartment. I was very satisfied on all aspects during my year-long stay.

I miss The Woods of Britton
I lived there for a year and as a nurse who works night shifts, sleeping during the day was never a problem. The grounds are peaceful and kept looking beautiful. The workout room is well-kept and the TVs in there are great! Pool area is nice too! I rarely had to submit maintenance requests and when I did they were fixed either the same day or the next. The staff is friendly, kind, and very helpful. My new apartment can not even compare to Woods of Britton. I wish I'd never moved out!

It's a place to sleep
The staff is pleasant and they always greeted me by name. The gym and the grounds are neat and well kept. Parking is first come first served; there are no assigned parking spots, but for an additional charge you may rent a garage or carport. The walls seem to be thin; noise from the neighbors is a problem. Noise from State Road 37 and the nearby nightclub is also a problem; in addition, people who want to drink at the club park in the apartment parking to avoid the cops. The windows, patio door, and walls are very drafty and the heating system only adequately heats the half of the house near the furnace. No problems with bugs, but I've got to wonder what all of those spiders are eating!

Not my cup of tea..
Don't want to sound rude, but it is just not for me. I think the office is more concerned with finding new people than taking care of the ones they have. My apartment is clean and nice, but the service is fair at best. It today's world, the number one thing I am looking for is good service, and this place doesn't have it. Take my advice, look elsewhere...

Great place for the single gal
I lived at the Woods of Britton for one year and eight months. For a single female, looking for a clean, safe, and quite place to live it was a perfect fit. The staff (both office and maintenence) were always the upmost professional. The monthly rental price is a bit high compared to other places in northern Indianapolis, but for the security and quite environment, I felt it was completely worth it. Also, the square footage of the one bedroom apartment was much larger than any other property I looked at before moving in (and the closet is huge!!!!). The only downsides to the Woods of Britton is the location (I-69 is a huge hassle all the time) and the property doesn't allow personal washer and dryers. But if you do not have a washer and dry upon move in, this would be a good thing.

Not bad if you don't mind the drive
The staff was nice, didn't notice they jacked the price up $15 when we were signing, that was just an annoyance. The community is nice and area is safe, it is fishers. The speedbumps are awful and the drivers suck. The traffic is horrible. The dryer is no good and the windows aren't insulated very well, we had to move our bed to the back of our room. The tubs are small the patio door is very heavy. It is to close to State road 37 and makes it very noisy and you can always hear the neighbors. For the most part I would suggest one of the numerous other communities in Fishers for a better price.
