The management and maintenance staff are very accommodating and pleasant. The apartments are very clean and well maintained. The courtyard is a very peaceful place to hang out, no matter the season. They also offer storage for residents!

It has been very pleasant so far. The property manager is very kind. The amenities are great, and I like the convenient way of paying the rent online. The easy access to the T and shopping centers are also a huge plus. Overall, it's been a great.

The leasing office is a joke, very unproffesional and always talking behind tenants back. They are not responsible at all, the only time they come to the apartment to fix something is if i put an online request but if i call the office or tell candy, gabe or jessica they always seem to forget. They dont answer the phone and when i go to the office to see if there ia anyone in the office there they are Gabe and Candy chit chatting. I am very unhappy with this place. The price is too high for the poor service you get. Sincerely a very unhappy tenant

I've enjoyed living at this complex. Every maintenance issue I've had has been taken care of promptly. I especially like the indoor parking. The property has been exceptionally clean at all times, especially the trash/recycle room. Exceptional Upkeep!

MY expedience at Parkside have been always great. The leasing office staff are always friendly with us and if we have any issues they always do their best to work with you there have been times they forget what we have talk about but once you remind them they take care of it right away and we do understand that sometimes it could get busy.If we have to renew our lease we wouldn't have a problem with doing that.

I lived at Parkside Commons for 3 years moving out recently. My rent increased about $100.00 each year. The property manager is the 3rd one since I lived their and this one is not customer friendly or very competent in her duties. I had automatic rent deduction until two month ago it stopped and I was give a late rent notice. I called the office and all they could tell me is I don't know why it did go through, just send us a check. Once I gave my 60-day notice I informed them my lease ends Jan 10 but could move out earlier. The property manager told me they would try and let me know. On Jan 1st I called to get the total rent for the 10-days left on my lease and was told they had rented the apartment out for Jan 7. Good thing I moved out 2 weeks prior to this. I was told I was only responsible for rent until Jan 6, but could I drop of my keys prior to this. I went to drop off my keys on Jan 3rd and found maintenance men working on my apartment getting it ready for Jan 7 new tenants. I went to the office and they told me that I had given them permission to go into my apartment, (I did say they could go in and look only). Why am I paying rent for an apartment that you are turning around, that s not fair? They told me OK you only are responsible for rent for today. After all this they kept my security deposit due to stains on the carpet. I provided my lease and move in inspection report that noted 6 stains on the carpet prior to moving in. They told me I had different stains and now I will have to go to small claims court to get it back. Not very happy with the way I am being treated.

I been here for almost one year, my stayed has been good overall. There is a few minor issues for instance, my apartment walls structure from top to bottom are very thin, which means I could and they could hear any little noise coming and leaving my apartment. There's only one service provider for TV,Internet, and phone. The parking space in the garage are narrow.

Very good so far. I have only been here for a few weeks so my experiences are quite limited. Probably not even 200 characters worth. But since I need to keep typing to finish, I might recommend a little more freedom with free text questions rather than forcing me to write a certain number of characters.

I like living at parkside common apartments. The only complain I have is the management staff. Candy is unfriendly. She is unprofessional. Lately I found out that many other residents complain about her too. I rarely go to the office to get some service for my apartment. I try to fix it myself.

This community draw us in because of the homey feel it gave us as well has how secure it felt. Majority of the residents looked like professionals and that indicated to us that it would be quiet and it also drew people like us who wanted a nice space to call home after a long day at work.

Only thing that make us choose the apartment initially is the fact that it is close to Tobin bridge. The management is not satisfying: 1, package picking up is a disaster, every time we go to the office to pick up the Package, Ms.C would roll her eye in annoyance and unwillingness in helping us get our package is obvious; 2,fire alarm sounded average 1-3 times a month for no good reason except for last week, but for that reason, the premises was left like the picture I will include in this review, the elevator has been shut down for 2 days and no apology comes from the management yet; 3,car parked in the garage, but still gps and other things got stolen, also when package are delivered in non-office hours, people would open the packages on the floor and I have had a few opened and one stolen recently; I would not recommend any of my friends or anyone in that matter to live here, and I am thinking moving away ASAP, unless necessary adjustment is made to the management.

I have now lived at Parkside Commons for about 6 months and I have to say that I am very pleased. The location is great for Boston commuters and I pay only 30 cents Toll to cross the Tobin Bridge. The apartment is nice, new construction, appliances are energy efficient and bills are very low. The walls are thin, so expect to hear some noise once in a while. If it is too loud you can contact the management office. I had an issue with noise coming from one of my neighbors and it was quickly resolved by the management office. Summarizing, I recommend living at Parkside Commons.

Tranquil & affordable city living
I'm a real resident at Parkside for over 2.5 years now and can assure you that for the money and space its as good as living in downtown, the many pluses outweigh any negatives from those who have trashed the placed with negative reviews, thats fine your entitled to your opinon, I've lived all over Boston, but go move downtown where's there's much more noise, zero parking, sq footage is reduced and rent is much higher and slum landlords who's only concern is receiving there monthly rent (because of the demand, location and not addressing residents concerns because the city is filled with partying college students. For the location, proximity to the downtown Boston, new structure, the amenties, ample parking and a well maintained building, and the management's and staffs prompt response at addressing each residents issues, its 200 units with a small staff addressing each residents issues, there doing a stellar job in my opinion, I've had all my issues and concerns adressed here.

peace finally
I would say this is a great place to live!! I came from a setting that day by day was getting worst. The security of coming home was an everyday ordeal, who was around? why is it dark? We arrived at Parkside because of a reference my friend gave me. He had said this was a great place that I should see it. We arrived an as soon as we stepped in the lobby we knew this was for us. The staff was very pleasant knew what they were talking about, gave and answer every question we had without hesitation. we left home and gave our notice that same day. We had issues with our landlord after we gave our notice and he did not want to return our security deposit, but we did not care, he will need it more than us. We moved in to our unit and were amazed at how much room we had, everything fit just right, the place is great, very safe, people that live here are friendly polite and over all its a great pleasure to live in this complex. we have parking everything is within walking distance. its far enough from city life but close enough to live in peace.

I love living here!
I have been living here for a little over two years and I'm very happy that I chose this apartment complex. The staff (Candy, Gabe and Shelagh) is always professional, helpful and available. They go above and beyond for the tenants. I love that it s an eco-friendly, non-smoking environment. You will NEVER walk down the hall and have to smell smoke which is very important to me. The gym, library, hallways, stair cases, elevators, pool etc are always clean. Some of my favorite things are the underground parking, snow removal, washer & dryer in my apt, Wi-FI and the location is key. This is the first apartment that I have stayed at more than a year which proves that I'm happy. I highly recommend living here.

Best place to live
Parkside Commons is a great place to live. I been living here 2 years and I have no complaints. The staff is ALWAYS courteous, professional, and available. They look after the tennants and keep the community extrememly clean. The courtyard, gym, pool, and hallways are always spotless. The apartments are spacious and really nice. They have a washer n dryer in each apartment, which is very hard to find these days, and a garage to park your car. You cant beat the location, 5mins from Boston and there are plenty of surrounding towns if you want to stay local. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Liking this place
I moved into this apartment complex shortly after it opened. I moved here because of the prime location and the huge closet space in my apartment. Living here, I have seen the building go through many changes. These changes include a change in pet policy: no longer allowing dogs (apparently guests would not clean up behind their dogs) and a change in clientele. The fire alarm no longer goes off consistently, as mentioned in another review, and the office staff is quite friendly, as they have always been. I appreciate the fact that they know and call you by name. I like that this building is a smoke-free environment and eco-friendly. I also like that this building has now become more family oriented. The thing I like the most about Parkside Commons is that the rent remains reasonable, considering the close proximity to Boston.

DO NOT EVEN BOTHER!!!!
First, my wife made an appointment and get a quote. She asked about the pet policy since we had a small dog and a cat. The person on the phone said there would be no pet charge of the dog. We arrived and waited more than 40 minutes before staff showed up for our appointment. Apparently, the guy on the phone wrote down the wrong appointment time, and the apartment, it turns out, didn't even allow dogs! The quote was wrong and the inside the complex looked like a zoo minus the admissions charge. At least looking at lions baby their cubs is interesting--not watching a mother allow her child play a non-stop PSP while other kids ran wild thought the hallways. The complex has a "library" and a fitness center that resembled a bedroom with a few treadmills. Staff was dangerously incompetent and clueless. Outside, the entrance had not been plowed from a snow storm four days before and they was an accident with a car that looked like it had overturned. Not sure if it was because of the snow or the because the car was in such shock of passing through such a disaster of an apartment complex. Majorly disappointed.

Good place to live - highly recommended
I have lived here since 2008 and have loved this place. Pros: For the rent, it is hard to get a recently constructed, spacious building anywhere in Boston. Bonus - covered parking for $75 pm which saves the trouble of shovelling snow, clean surroundings (no stinky smokers) and nice market around. Packages are delivered in the office - so no need to run to UPS, USPS and FedEx centers for every package. Washer/dryer and excellent insulation is a huge convenience. Management is nice and friendly. Cons: Maintenance has slowed down over the years. Sometimes one needs to remind the management couple of times to get things done. Fire alarms are common but perhaps this is usual for large buildings. Management office used to open 7 days a week which was nice for professionals; now it closes on Sundays which is a bit inconvenient. Since dogs are allowed, some people keep dogs without training them. These dogs jump on people and when you complain, the dog owners are quite rude. Some residents are uncivilized and rude - block the main entrance with cars, talk loudly in hallway at 2am etc. If you are looking for good neighbors, this place is not one of those. If you need a good apartment, this is worth considering.

Not too bad
I moved in here because they will do a lease less than 1 year unlike most places around here. It is still very expensive for what you get. The pool is small and the pool lifeguard is on a power trip most of the time with the very stupid pool rules. I never had any noise problems until some very loud people moved in above me, now I listen to noise every night so the noise levels depend if your neighbors slam stuff around all night. Parking is nice, inside under the apt and there is always space. The area isn't that great but walking distance to a couple restaurants and stores.

Poor management
Not bad buildings but the management won't address inconsiderate tenants. I've complained multiple times about a tenant that insists on playing their bass guitar at all hours of the day and night - a nuisance even 2 floors down! - and after 5 times of both written and verbal complaints I've given up trying and will be moving out asap! Have also had the occasional police busts of a few tenants and the traffic out front is rediculously unsafe - lots of speeders and people running stop signs around the apartments. Too many hassels to deal with here - highly recommend you avoid renting if at all possible!!
