Have lived in the community for 7 years prior to moving to current apartment. Love the location, the space and lovely setting. Staff are helpful and responsive. The location is close to the city but you feel like you are in the country. It's a great place to live.

This is a lovely and very safe community. The front gate is staffed 24/7 and the staff are very conscientious about their job. The apartment is absolutely beautiful with plenty of space and closets. Walls are a bit thin, so you can hear neighbors. Overall a great choice for living.

We don't have any complains about the apartment and the staff. It's beautiful and safe. I do wish if the cell phone reception improves over time. We love the swimming pool. I wish we had an indoor pool for the whole year. Maintenance staffs are excellent. Overall staffs are friendly. It's slightly expensive but is worth the price.

Elkridge Estates location in north Roland Park adjacent to the Elkridge Club golf course and within a few blocks of access to the Jones Falls Expressway is ideal. Individual apartment units are considerably larger than many others in the area and provided with a full array of all needed appliances.

Feels like home. The non-apartment appearing and smelling hallways, the pleasant always available staff, the grounds. The general appearance and community in a safe and beautiful environment makes it a great home not just an a.partment

Overall positive. There have been a few issues, but the staff was overall responsive. I did wish that there had been better communication regarding work that had to be done in the apartment, but I understand that was more on the behalf of the outside company.

We moved into Elkridge Estates in 2000. We have had two different apartments. Our lives here have been full of wonderful neighbors from around the world (Peru, Brazil, Moldova, Australia and others) plus interesting people from Baltimore and beyond. The physical environment is beautiful. The pool and fitness center add to our days. Our choice to live here has been glorious.

The community is a beautiful setting. However, the noise transmission between walls and floors is too much. This is really too bad. I think the corporate office should consider ways to remediate this --through carpet upgrades and spray insulation between the units. I can live with a radon mitigation system that was recently installed, but you should not hear private conversations from neighbors. The staff is very attentive and friendly and the community is immaculate, however dealing with the noise, 9 speed bumps in and 9 speed bumps out is just a lot to deal with when comparing it to other properties.

Elkridge Estates is a beautiful, peaceful and friedly apartment complex. We love the full length windows, lavish scenery, and unique design of our apartment home. We are more than satisfied with the value of our apartment. Highly recommended.

Community in very good shape. Excellent location. Quiet. Gatehouse security needs to be improved. As I come home quite often after midnight I have to awaken the guard to open the gate. This is an historical problem since I moved in in 2002. New lighting intensity needs to be toned down. At night there is the sense that one is living at M&T Bank Stadium. Otherwise, mostly satisfied with responsiveness of staff, resolution of problems, and quality of living. Excellent neighbors.

It's fine. If there was a designated parking space for each apt I think it would be a lot better. There are way too many cars and I have to walk far at night to my building. I don't feel safe doing that and it seems unfair given the cost of my rent. That's about it.

When I first moved in it was very noisy at night. It is better now, but could still be improved upon. Is a curfew possible? Just a thought. Also, could the grounds in front of 6012 Hunt Ridge Road be improved and kept cleaner. I realize this is a problem because of the trees.

My apartment home is quiet, comfortable and convenient. If I need them, the maintenance staff respond quickly and take care doing whatever is needed. I appreciate being able to have a dog and flowers on my balcony. The 24 hour gate security is a plus.

We just moved here in September, having lived in a home in a neighboring community for the past 24 years. The location and staff are excellent. The apartment itself is slightly dated and the community rules are not friendly towards working people - i.e appliances may only run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Overall, the sense of community and the safety of the development are worth the rent paid.

I love living here. It is very convenient and safe and the residents and staff are very friendly. My needs here are consistently taken care of quickly and well. The entire staff has always gone above and beyond the call of duty. It is a great value.

They allow pets and that was important to us. The office management is wonderful and will help you with any issues that you have. Elkridge is great because they do not charge a monthly pet fee which is wonderful because most apts do. It is very green, landscaping is wonderful and it is smoke free.

LIVING HERE IS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. DON'T READ THE OTHER REVIEWS! THEY PAY THEIR RESIDENTS TO WRITE NICE THINGS OR THEY CREATE MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS AND THE MANAGERS CREATE MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS TO MAKE THE PLACE SEEM BETTER. LOOKS can be deceiving from the outside - it looks gorgeous but the apartments are from the 1960s and haven't been updated. See the list below for a list of reasons why not to move here. 1. OLD APPLIANCES - CONSTANTLY HAVE TO CALL MAINTENANCE TO FIX THEM. THEY NEVER GET FIXED. HEAVEN FORBID THEY ACTUALLY UPDATE THEM. THE MANAGEMENT TEAM SPENDS MORE TIME PAVING THE ROADS AND THE LANDSCAPE THEN THEY DO ON THE INSIDE OF THE APARTMENTS. 2. THERE IS NO INSULATION ON THE OUTSIDE. BEWARE OF MICE AND OTHER INSECTS. BASICALLY YOU HAVE TO CALL MULTIPLE TIMES OR PUT YOUR REQUEST IN WRITING TO GET SOMETHING DONE. 3. THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN. I GET THAT APARTMENT WALLS ARE THIN - BUT I CAN HEAR MY NEIGHBORS BELOW ME DO EVERYTHING (YOU WOULD THINK LIVING ON THE TOP FLOOR THERE WOULDN'T BE NOISE BUT THAT'S JUST A JOKE). 4. SECTION 8 RESIDENTS. 5. THE LOCKS ON THE DOOR ARE EASILY BREAKABLE. 6. THE BATHROOM TUBS ARE ANCIENT. INSTEAD OF REPLACING THEM - THEY RESEAL THEM AFTER EACH RESIDENT. DISGUSTING. IT STARTS CHIPPING AND IT HAS CHEMICALS. 7. THE PARKING IS A JOKE. THEY SHOULD TRY ASSIGNING SPACES. PEOPLE PARK IN THE FIRE LANE ALL THE TIME. 8. THE GUARDS SLEEP ON THE JOB - JUST GET RID OF THEM AND MAKE INTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS. 9. MICE AND OTHER RODENTS. 10. THE MANAGEMENT DOESN'T LIKE CONFLICT AND WON'T DO ANYTHING UNLESS YOU CALL AND HARASS THEM CONSTANTLY. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

AFTER SPENDING OVER 30 YEARS MANAGING APARTMENTS I RETIRED, SOLD MY HOUSE AND MOVED TO ELKRIDGE ESTATES. IT IS OBVIOUS THAT BOTH THE OWNERS AND MANAGEMENT TEAM CARE ABOUT THE PROPERTY AND ITS RESIDENTS. THE PROPERTY IS GORGEOUS AND THE MAINTENANCE SUPERB. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Beautiful park like grounds. Huge balconies. Office staff is always cheerful. I use the exercise facility aost every day - it's very nice as well as convenient. Pool is beautiful. I feel like I live at a vacation resort ! I would highly recommend Elkridge Estates.

I have been here for over 2 years now and have seen significant improvement to the outside lighting which us very helpful for me as I need to walk my dog in the dark at times. It also makes me feel safer with the increased lighting. Thank you! I did have an incident with one of my neighbors that was a concern last year. Sounded like domestic violence, so I called the police. Did not know that the police would send three cop cars. It was quite a situation and afterwards made for an uncomfortable living situation with the neighbors in my building.

Great apartments to live in for a quiet, low-key experience. If you have a dog, this is also a great community to be in for the social interactions with other dogs. Noise isn't too bad depending on the neighbors. Amenities are outstanding and are probably the best in the county.
