When I moved in here the building and the people was wonderful now you have the management don't take time out for the tenants to hear their complaints to just say okay they're charging you things that you don't have and you tell them about it and it's still charging you for it I guess what I don't like

I got my comforter stolen from the laundromat within a 7 minute time frame. When I reached out to the office, they stated they couldn’t do anything about it due to “not knowing what to look for” and needing a police report to get said covers back. Even though I knew the time frame it would have happened in and could even draw you a picture of what my covers looked like. Cool, we’re just going to be okay with thieves living here. Furthermore, believe the rest of these reviews in regard to the pests the cohabit with me. I saw roaches as soon as I moved in. A mouse crawled up the radiator and made a home under the stove. Another one made it’s way in and there were droppings all OVER my stove—the place I need the most to feed myself. After tickets to maintenance I was made aware there is a list to get your apartment treated every Tuesday. I was not made aware of this prior to signing my lease and my leasing agent was the assistant manager Justice Del Carmen. When they did come to treat they did so for roaches but not for mice. The picture attached is of the rotting wood under my sink which the mice had used as a motel. I think it’s ridiculous to pay the amount I do for an apartment where I live with pests, the cabinets are rotting, my things aren’t safe in the laundry room, and the office staff could care less. I have paid on time every month since moving in. My storage unit was cleaner and more courteous than this. The leasing agents are hard to reach and will say anything to get you off their backs rather than actually accessing the situation and helping you.

No hot water I am happy , I cannot take a shower . It has been weeks I requested it. We can't keep waiting. Please it fixed immediately. It's taking too long to get fix . But the apartment is quiet and very friendly.

This complex is awful. The management doesn't care about residents and have poor communication. The front desk staff doesn't seem to do anything other than try to prevent residents from talking to management. Amenities are essentially non-existent or broken and unusable. The pool wasn't open last year because the complex didn't want to pay for lifeguards. They didn't put out the grill until the end of the summer (and when they did, they didn't put out any propane). The pests in the apartment complex are really bad. I can't remember the last time I woke up to find fewer than 10 cockroaches in the kitchen (which we clean every night and don't keep out food). They are everywhere and the once-per-week visit from exterminators is far too little to do anything. If they do treat you apartment, they ask you to completely empty your kitchen, which is not feasible. The apartment complex does just enough to be able to claim that they're trying to resolve the issue without actually resolving the issue. The elevators usually have at least one not working. The other residents are not considerate, often leaving a heaping pile of garbage and recycling in the trash room so that you can't even open the door (that happened today). Package delivery is unreliable. This is often because either the front desk staff won't buzz in the delivery person or there's nobody at the front desk to open the door for deliveries. As a result packages are left in the open for anybody to steal (which happens). The only positive aspect is the maintenance and cleaning staff. They do a good job and actually put in effort.

I have been dissatisfied with the communication with the office staff. I have had several miscommunications that have been extremely frustrating. In addition, the amenities and features that were specified in the lease are not all functional or available. The pool was closed all summer without a good reason, the community room is not open (no effort to make it COVID safe), the gym equipment breaks. Currently the laundry has been broken for over a week and there has been no discussion of compensation

Do not live here. The roach infestation in this building is getting worse and worse, and the management is not doing anything about it. Service tickets are getting closed without comment or work being done.

Im glad I was approved here. The location is great, and the apartment size for my family is big enough so we live comfortable. This community has so much to offer for my family size. We really enjoy our surroundings outside and inside.

Only 2/3 key fobs were available to us on move in. We were promised parking spaces but have been moved in almost 2 weeks and still do not have one. Staff in the leasing office misplaced our private and sensitive documents and blamed us for not sending them in.

Roach, mouse, and bed bug infested building. For the rent charged there is a significant disconnect between cost and value. The management and office staff are not helpful. They never return phone calls and emails and are generally rude to residents.

Overall I have enjoyed living here @ Colesville Towers. The staff are friendly & professional. The building is clean. I love my apartment, a 1 bedroom. It is very spacious & has 3 huge closets!! I enjoy living right in downtown Silver Spring! It is convenient to many stores & the library. The o lay drawback that I've experienced is a problem w/roaches that lasted for weeks. I arranged to have the exterminator treat my place every week for several weeks. with

Wonderful so far. Except I have a neighbor who stomps thru the house all day long. Sounds like a stampede of elephants it's highly annoying. I have yet to report to the office though. Just bern yelling at them to stop it

Rather mixed feelings. I have experienced (and still continue) a incredibly insalubrious presence roaches and mice. The company cannot solve the issue. I have tried my best to deal with it with my own means and solutions. I have tried all sorts of techniques. The last products I have used lately seems to work a bit better on roaches. But the species of mice in the apartment knows how to avoid traps and glue. We are just roommates. My relationship with management is also mixed feelings because I have had many instances of unprofessional treatment for issues that could have been solve well if dealt with a more investigative and fair approach.

There are a lot of bugs in the apartments and a lot of the residents are "off." I have also had issues with the office staff not calling me back or sleeping at the front desk. Overall, its not a bad place but it is really expensive and I would expect more.

A message from Prospective Tenants between 3/18/21-4/6/21: We wasted our time between 3/18-4/6/21. Here is our story, hopefully... it will not happen to you: My roommate and I were prospective tenants. We were happy and excited to decorate our new apartment, but before signing the lease Laverne, Property Manager, approved several maintenance requests to ensure our safely of our health, bad apartment experience, and mend our minds due to their horrific reviews. We applied for the apartment on 3/18/21 to move in 3/24/21, it was pushed back. We were supposed to move in on 4/3/21 then pushed it back again because allegedly the contractors didn’t fix the problems (again). After speaking with Brandon, Tuesday/Thursday Assistant Property Manager, I realized that this apartment complex wasn’t going to fix our requests, ever. We appreciate Karalynne, Leasing Professional, because she was the only professional they have on their team. She was very respectful and did all she could. We appreciate her deeply because we had a different leasing agent when we applied and wasn’t having great communication with him, but Karalynne took ownership. However, the managers, Laverne and Brandon, didn’t care about our concerns, didn’t apologize for countless reschedules or show any type of empathy towards us as the management of the establishment after we made it clear that we are making these requests because of our health concerns, last apartment experience and these reviews. After the 4th time of visiting the apartments to show what was wrong with the apartment (for the 3rd time) since we applied, Brandon didn’t tell them we were coming. The trip was well deserved because I ran into a current tenant who is trying to move out and told me NOT (emphasis) to move in because there’s a pest control problem, he’s had bedbugs several times after purchasing several beds, and management and maintenance doesn’t respond to any requests. We are experiencing this first hand for our pre-lease singing requests. We have made the decision to withdraw our application and waiting on Colesville to contact ePremium to refund our security deposit insurance (I’ll keep the post updated on how long it takes to get my refund, ePremium states that Colesville will need to contact their representative to approve the cancellation). Please don’t waste your time with this community. The management team is destroying the company. As an Accountant and Business Consultant, they are bad for business. I recommend that the business owner do research, hire undercover prospects, or something because with Laverne and Brandon in that office, it’ll continue to crumble, respectfully. Side note: Brandon the “assistant manager” mentioned that the people who makes the reviews do it because of their feeling within the moment. Brandon, if you and Laverne cared about your tenants and listened to their requests then those reviews will be different. Treat tenants and prospective tenants the way you would want to be treated if you were living there. Simple as 1, 2, 3. Apartment seekers: Good luck on your search, I wouldn’t waste my time if I were you. However, you can always try giving the benefits of the doubts like we did and see where that takes you.
