Good price, nice apartment but very noisy and messy hallways and lawns. Kids constantly play up and down the stairs shaking my walls no matter how many times I complain. I believe it's the most affordable place in the area in most utilities are included.

I love the building I am in. I could not have chosen a better building myself. Backs up to woods. Neighbors have either kept to themselves. The vast majority have interacted with me and have always been friendly and willing to help each other. It is a huge complex so it is possible that each building grouping could have sort of its own dynamics. I don't know. I have a loft apartment so pretty much a three bedroom. Lots of room. And everyone has a garage, that is very unique for apartments I love it. My only complaint would be that the appliances desperately need to be updated. Small fridge and small shallow sinks. Would love a garbage disposal and gas stove instead of electric, but not sure if those are reasonable for apartments. I also like it's location has everything right here and more if you go a mile or two south. Bit if you go two miles north you're already starting to get into a rural area. In all it's been a great move to here.

10/10 do not recommend York creek. Management is horrible. They only care about money. Have had numerous issues since the day I moved in, and they don't care to even attempt to resolve them. Maintenance is a joke too, they half --- fix things and taking care of snow in the winter is basically non existent. They have also come into my apartment without a notice of any sort, didn't even leave a notice they had been here, and my deceased grandmas diamond ring ended up going missing that same week. Only reason I knew they had been here was bc I noticed new blinds and then called office to ask when they had been in last. I explained what went on, and the person I was talking to not only didn't care, but she changed the name of the person that had supposedly been in my apartment that day. I've called the office a handful of times to get parking issues resolved, still have yet to see anything done. This place is a total joke! They raise rent every year, yet can't even maintain anything here! Will never recommend this place to anyone!

The biz office front end folks are very helpful & get info routed to appropriate management. Maintenance is excellent. Neighbors have been challenging at times by disrespecting property, but for most part, not bad.

My car has been broken into and gas syphoned. The neighborhood isn't safe. Maintenance doesn't care, nothing gets done. Trash everywhere. Office people are rude and packages get stolen. Homeless people live behind the complex like how safe is that??

When I moved to Comstock Park from another state, I di not know where to rent. I looked around online. The best rate and availability were York creek apartments. I have been extremely satisfied with York creek. Having come from a city and state that is rapidly circling the drain, most people don't realize the value of York creek apartments!

I came into a nice clean apartment. Maintenance is always willing to help if there is a problem. Where I live, it is quiet and carefree. Noise isn't really heard between apartments. Spacious apartment.

It was good when I moved in, but things have changed. Land & Co. has lowered their standards, opting for rental numbers over vetting their prospective tenants more carefully. A lot of riff-raff/trash occupy these apts now.

The rent is a really good rate for the 2 bedroom loft that I have! My only issue is with maintenance and well they do their job, otherwise I enjoy living at York Creek!! I also enjoy the building I'm in. My neighbors are super friendly but it's a pain sometimes not having your best em washer and dryer but everything else is great!

I feel they need to have a rent grace period. Why is there no 1-3 after the 3 then that's when you are charge extra . I feel It's unfair . What if are bank is down or are check come a day after . You guys never know what a person is going through on top off regular life

York Creek is pretty clean, and a good size. They vacuum daily in the stairwell, and the parking lots aren't bad. It could be a little quieter, but considering how many people live here, there is bound to be some noise.

Hasn't been the best to be honest. 1st flooded and they towed my 2nd vehicle same week. I was put in a corporate apartment and moved back into the Apartment that still has black mold all behind the walls. Moved into a diff building only to not have matching closet doors. Only one shelf in my fridge for over a year, garage still doesn't work they've been out 4x too fix, yet still not done. In the new apartment within 1st week they had to rip up my whole kitchen floor to fix a leak to apartment below, left the carpets tacks strips upward, both my son and I stepped on the step cause tons of punctures to our feet. Then in April towed yet another vehicle they tagged as immovable, Terry moved 3x and removed the orange tag. My son wasn't finished with driver's training so it wasn't being driven, but was still a legal

Maintenance and management are excellent. However, the few residents that live like animals ruin what could be an otherwise enjoyable area. Residents leave garbage and broken down items on their decks, and clean their car trash into the parking lot. The graffiti adds a nice gangster flair to the neighborhood we dare not walk at night.

I don't know that I would 100% call it a community. Residents tend to keep to themselves and to their own apartments. Some residents apparently have no moral issue with stealing other peoples packages, Breaking into cars and stealing things, smashing back windows of cars. Everyone here keeps everything locked at all times, because it is not very safe. If you have good people in the apartments around you as neighbors, it can make it more OK, but you have no choice in who moves in next to you & what kind of people they are. Maintenance is a hit or miss, I do not enjoy having these people in my apartment, and they don't give you any kind of timeframe or warning or heads up when they're coming. When you submit a maintenance request, you have the option to allow or deny entry if you're not home, but of course there is no way of making sure that they come when you're home. They also request that if you have animals in your apartment, that they be contained when they arrive, but given that they don't give you any heads up on when they're coming, this is pretty darn impossible (& most pet owners don't want to keep their animals locked up for weeks at a time if they're not home just in case maintenance decides to come). And even with all of this unpleasantness, rent continues to go up every time you get the option to re-sign your lease for another year. And even though the rent goes up, maintenance doesn't do more, the office staff doesn't do more, security staff can't always "verify" when other residents are breaking rules so every once in a while you get a semi threatening notice on your door telling you that you have to follow the rules, even though it's not you that is breaking the rules and the people that are breaking the rules are not going to follow this notice. Basically you can complain all you want about other residence not following the rules, but unless somebody from the apartments sees, hears, smells it for themselves or has "proof", nothing will be done (unless the person you're complaining about is playing any kind of ethnic music and is not white, then something might happen). Rent is relatively cheap, only if you have somebody to split it with, but like I said they do keep raising it. Every single apartment has its own issues, but mold is common, random cracks in the paint, The apartment complex tends to paint over anything that is an issue and hope it goes away. The dishwashers don't work 100%, and frequently leave white residue on everything, the water is hard & has a lot of iron in it and stains things (especially anything white & you have to work REALLY hard to get it off). Other than that all, if you're on a budget and you need a cheap place to live and you don't care that the apartment complex does not care about you, then it's an OK place to live. Also, if you're OK/used to just keeping to your own space, keeping doors locked, never leaving anything of value in your car or in plain sight in your apartment, then it's okay.

My car has been broken into twice. They raise the rent every year. No commitment to loyalty. They perform random searches into your home. They want to look and see if you have pets and how you clean. Stay the F@#$ OUT of my home when I am already paying you almost $1000 for a basic apartment.

Maintenance is slow, unpredictable and haphazard. Accommodation requests are routinely/reflexively denied. The whole building's water gets (frequently!) shut off even for little single- apartment repairs, and shutoff notices are always "whole-day" which makes planning showers impossible. Ventilation is horrible - range hoods and bathroom fans only recirculate; they aren't even ducted to the outside, which causes air to be dirty and yellow scum to build up on walls. Air conditioners are thru-wall, living room only, and FAR underrated for this square footage. Much more powerful units would fit, but York Creek steadfastly refuses to purchase larger units even as accommodation for disability issues. Inadequate attic ventilation traps heat which radiates down into the third-floor apartments. That far-overpowers air conditioning on sunny warm days - even well into the night while the attic slowly cools down. Many of the build-ins (sinks/cabinets) and appliances seem to be factory defect or "scratch and dent" items. Appliances are mostly very old, and even the new ones are selected with no concern for efficiency or performance - only cost matters. This greatly increases electric bills especially in the summer.

Bitter sweet. The location is great and the prices used to be fair before covid. Now they charge way to much for no improvements. The maintenance team are helpful in fixing anything that needs repair.

It has been actually quite nice. I really think it depends on which unit you move into for me the neighbors really make or break your experience, the unit I'm in and the neighbors I have are great! Another thing is maintenance, they will come fix things but it seems if it is a bigger repair I have to call a couple times to get it done, but smaller issues they are right on it. I really have no complaints for the price and convenience of location I'm happy.
