Nice fairly quiet country community tucked into the hills of the Grand River Valley. Considering what we all have been thru for the last 2 years with the COV19 lockdowns and such, this place has weathered it pretty well. Most neighbors are friendly, mindful of others, and clean up after their pets. A few however, are not, and they don't last long here.

    Very nice apartment that feels like home. The complex is well kept and maintained. We came here from a two story older home so I enjoy the simplicity of living on the ground floor and the open format, tall ceilings of the apartment.

      The unit itself is okay considering what we are paying. However, when applying we requested a unit with a washer an dryer and when we were finally called off the waiting list, they told us there are none available and our only option is a unit without. That has been a major downfall for us especially considering the building laundry room has 2-3 washer and dryers for all the residents and you have to pay to use them. In addition, the water pressure is horrible and we had to get our dishwasher replaced because it did not work when we moved in. The main selling point for us staying here as of right now is that it is what is affordable for us at the moment. In terms of the building and other residents, there is almost always someone smoking cigarettes or cigars on the stairs and every day the unit next to us smokes weed and all of this smoke seeps into our apartment. Lastly, I understand the maintenance staff has a lot of units to get through but we waited over a month for someone to come look at and eventually replace our dishwasher. In all honesty, if you are looking for affordable housing this is an option, but if you are looking for quality, this may not be your best option. Unfortuantely in Grand Rapids, however, it is difficult to find both.

        not good there is stuff that should be done but it don't get done I have nothing more to say to you about how I feel and why can't your people return calls when some one calls your Office about the rent.

          I know the response to this review will be "please call/email us" but that is my whole point of this review is when I call and leave messages I get zero response from York Creek to address my issue. Also the email address they leave here seems to be invalid. I have emailed, I've called alot and I've even messaged them on Facebook Messenger and every single Avenue has been ignored with no response. I do understand I'm already a resident and by me transferring to another apartment it would not benefit York creek financially in anyway. it would only benefit my happiness . Out of curiosity I emailed them under another email address acting like I'm a non resident who is interested in an apartment and I received a response the same day. Could be a coincidence but I thought it was interesting. 8 years of living here I thought I would be more valued. I've lived here since 2013 and always made on-time payments and keep to myself with no trouble. Recently the apartment next to me became vacant and I simply had a question on if I was able to transfer to it. The vacant apartment has a slider and I thought that would be nice. Although I'm sure it's already taken, I still called and inquired. I talked to a lady who took my inquiry and said she would have the person who does transfers call me. That was about about a week ago and I've got no response. I've called again and again, left other messages/email/facebook and still no response. I don't feel like a valued resident not being acknowledged just because the answer is no. If that is the case. Or because there is no Financial benefit for them regarding a transfer. For the money, I do like the neighborhood and apartments as far as price. Definitely a lot of noise, kids running through the hallways screaming, writing on the walls, throwing food all over the floor, knocking on my door and running..ETC, if there's any way York Creek you could just give me a yes or no I would really appreciate it. This is the only problem I've ever had here in eight years. My inquiry is in your Facebook Messenger,correct email,message left with the person who handles leases.. etc If you could PLEASE tell me if apartment 4 at 3841 yorkland is available with just a simple yes or no it would be great. I'll write another review on here regarding what happens and if I was ever acknowledged. Thank you

            3.5 stars is completely inaccurate. This place is literally the slums. They move in any one with a pause and deposit. So your neighbors are going to me more sketchy than not. I've been awaken by people shooting at police. Had a neighbor get robbed at gun point. Ive had some slime ball drill holes in my gas tank. Ive had my catalytic converter cut off my vehicle. Maintenance has fixed some stuff, and made other repairs worse than the original problem. Do yourself a favor and move anywhere else but here.

              The most unprofessional place I have ever applied for! Applied here 3 weeks ago and they never called me or anything. They basically had me pay the $150 fee then ghosted me. I tried to call repeatingly for weeks and they never picked up their phone. So, they called my boss to verify income so that looked good. I called and for once they picked up the phone and they said oh yeah your approved we just have to wait until there’s an apartment available. Literally two hours later they called me saying we need more paystubs they were from separate dates. Like ?. I logged into the account and the pay stubs clearly were from separate dates. They played me BADLY. Imagine them treating applicants like this. Imagine how they treat their residents. Imagine if someone’s stove caught on fire or if their refrigerator broke. Well too bad because they won’t pick up. Save your money and apply elsewhere.

                I currently rent a storage garage from York creek…I went there on Sunday to find out that someone reprogrammed my garage door opener and went in my garage and stole a bunch of my stuff…I made a police report and the regional manager James and Kim the land and company have both basically told me that I’m screwed…even tho their maintenance people are the only ones with access to the space…I will be removing the rest of my things out of here and recommend people watching their garage because there is obviously an internal thief

                  I assume most of the reviews here are from people who work at Land & Co. because most residents who ACTUALLY live here think its disgusting and extremely loud. It's not a safe place, I feel so bad for the people with families. I literally had a maintenance guy tell me that they found a felon who was hiding in one of the apartments--FOR THREE YEARS. How do you not know there is someone dangerous living in your apartment complex for three years??? I can't even imagine who they allow to live here, even though they advertise it as a safe community. Also, there's trash literally everywhere from disgusting neighbors.

                      I have been living here for over 3 years. This is my 5th time occupying an apartment within york Creek. I currently have a massive hole between myself and my nextdoor neighbor. There was a leak"I found" on 2/5/21 in main bathroom. Only reason I noticed was because hallways carpet was wet. After investigating further I found that the wall behind my toilet was completely moist. I reached out automatically. They came in(5 different people) over a 6 hour period. Only to leave me with a hole between myself and neighbor. So fast forward now to 3/1/21 I still have a massive hole behind my toilet, maintenance hasn't been back here since 2/6/21 and 3 days ago they had my own vehicle towed from in front of my own building!!! The licence plate had my name, the title had my name.. all comes back to my address here where the truck was parked. It just cost me $495 to have my vehicle taken out of impound. When I stopped at the office, the excuse was it has a lot of snow on it. We tagged it on Friday... Ok well I work, come home Friday night after work, didn't notice. Work Saturday from 8am-730pm on Saturday night I get mail, letter from SOS stating my vehicle was towed for abandonment, even tho it was parked at the address in which the title is addressed to!! I am beyond disgusted with the community. I'm always on time with rent. I don't have any complaints against me. No extra fines ever... So why would you do this as an apartment complex especially during a pandemic. My truck had snow on it cause I'm only 1 person I can't drive 2 vehicles. So why would you tow a truck after 3 weeks of snowstorms then use the excuse it has a large amount of snow!!! That make it abandoned. Check the plate, call the resident it's linked to. But, no....... Let's let a single mom be completely financially harmed especially after the last year in a pandemic where no one has extra $. But, pay to get my ownvehicle back that was parked right by my building. Don't mind the hole in my bathroom tho?? this is the world we live in. Where your more worried about a truck with snow on it then you are off a tenant who has a whole in their bathroom with black mold all in it. I'm glad you prioritize what's most important, towing a vehicle vs making your apartments livable....

                      Management here is awful. Belinda Choy specifically NEVER returns her calls. She is supposed to be "resident relations," but in the 2 months my mom was in the hospital and unable to keep up on rent/bills/etc. I was never able to get ahold of any top management at York Creek. I specifically called and left multiple voice messages for Belinda Choy and neither she nor any of her coworkers EVER returned my calls. The apartments are decent, maintenance is average, the parking lots are nearly always littered with trash, and the management is so poor, I will NOT be renewing my lease here.

                              I rent 2 storage garages from York Creek apartments. I always pay the monthly rent in person at the local office. After the month of December, I will not be needing one of the garages. So on Dec 29, I was in the office to pay the rent and put a notice to remove one garage. Elsa, the office secretary (sorry if this isn't her title) helped me locate and fill out the turn in form. While I was filling out the form at a table in the office; I could observe her interactions with other tenants. Her bilingual ability made it possible to resolve one situation with a customer on the phone. Another tenant had a maintenance request that she handled professionally, and resolved. Elsa is polite, professional, and has an ability to handle tasks in calm matter. As a business owner myself, I found this trait to be valuable. York Creek made a great "hire" with Elsa. *Please note: The review process doesn't let me post unless I enter apartment type. Again, I rent a garage from York Creek. So my entry of the type of apartment isn't accurate.

                                  Let me start off by saying that in this community you literally have close range access to so many stores, you do not have to travel far. Secondly, the staff member I call with any questions or concerns is a woman in the office, -----. She is very professional, as well as knowledgeable. Her good energy makes the experience living here a walk in the park, shes so helpful & non judgemental. The only down fall to living here is the small amount of parking available in front of your apartment building.

                                        I am, as of a today, a new resident here. Some of the questions I don't know the answer to yet so I gave them 3 stars. However I will say that just from applying, the appartments look very nice, they have strict regulations on who can be approved and you must provide lots of information which makes it seem like they approve safe, clean background, and well rounded people! I will say I was blown away by my Leasing agent, Anita. If you apply ask for her. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was in order and in my favor. She is friendly, helpful, and good at communicating! I'm excited to start my new life here! Thanks York Creek

                                                A: Absolutely, and noise complaints almost always go ignored, OR they take so long to send their rent-a-cop over to check things out people have finally quieted down, leading to a response of "we cant do anything if we dont catch them at it", making me wonder if they arent INTENTIONALLY slow so they dont have to deal with enforcing their rules and the trouble of removing a problem tennant.
