The members of the staff are friendly and sympathetic with any issues that may arise. They will usually try to assist or give you advice on what to do to resolve the issues. The people living in the community are generally nice but there may be people that do not respect community guidelines.

The rent is to high. The apartments are out dated. There are to many Vicious dogs in my building. A lot of the Appliances are very old and don't work. I think we should have until the 5th of the month to pay are rent.

There's been two fires, a murder, rent continues to climb without any improvements. Outdoor door is always broken. Took 3 days for maintenance to show up for shower issue. People yelling from balcony. You never see security except sitting in the car at the office.

IF YOU DONT MIND BED BUGS AND ROACHES THEN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!!!
Currently still living in York Creek and looking for another place to live. I’ve been here a few years and in that time we have gotten Bed bugs and roaches .. BUT don’t you worry, AARDVARK comes and “Sprays” your apartment down and they will be gone … kidding … it’s been 3 years and my building has been sprayed 5 times about to be 6. It doesn’t matter how many times this particular building 3800 is sprayed, they continue to keep seeping through the walls. This particular building needs to be burned down and start over. Rent does go up every year and all the reviews you are reading are correct. Maintenance does NOT fix ---- around here. You are a complete inconvenience to them at the office when you call and complain. NOTHING gets fixed. Right now I am currently waiting on my kitchen sink that is leaking to get fixed and if it doesn’t ????? Sorry for the people under me, none of the outlets hold anything in them so if you need to vacuum you have to squeeze the prongs to be held in. Mold is definitely a big thing and it is probably in every building. There is air conditioning but it will not reach any of the bedrooms AND you can’t have one of your own. So plan to sleep in your living room all summer. There are constantly cops around because there is always something going on. Last year 5 doors down a girl was raped in the parking lot so if you’re a female stay strapped and aware. I would definitely give a second and third thought about moving into this place after reading all these reviews. Hope this review helped someone.

Matinence only fixes some issues. For the amount of rent you'd expect up to date apartments but the apartments haven't been renovated in years. My cupboards are all falling apart, carpet is long dead.

My experience have ok, I say things can be a lot better for the amount money they charging for these apartments is not worth the money, they need a major upgrades, from inside to the outside, alone with cleaning of garages and patio.. also we paying for security but there's no security provider... York creek is definitely over priced for the way things are around here, could be a lot better..

We requested a back apartment for the extra privacy plus nature and so far that's been wonderful. The leasing office employees have also been helpful with any needs along with the business office employees. Our issues came when we needed maintenance. The employees there are not communicative, do not follow residents wishes , do not properly "repair" items of do any follow ups . We've also experienced the well known apartment tree smell you find in many places and although it was addressed by the complex management it hasn't been followed through our overall experience has been ok . The price point keeps us here along with the back apartment.

The apartments themselves are generally a good size for the prices, however they come with enough issues. We've had roaches since the first day we moved in and had to have 4 separate treatments. The first time I tried calling about them, I left 4 messages at the office over the course of 2 weeks and never heard back. I had to physically go into the office to be able to talk to someone. The complex would only treat a few apartments in the building instead of the whole building, meaning the bugs just migrate around and make their way back. The appliances and sinks/tub were filthy when we moved in, had to clean them before use. There's constantly trash all over the parking lot and the dumpsters are overflowing hours after they are picked up because one dumpster for every 2-3 buildings just isn't enough when people are throwing their giant pieces of furniture in them. They don't salt during the winter and the plow comes through maybe once a week, but they do post a courtesy sign above the mailboxes telling you to be careful because it's slippery! The lawn care company sucks and only comes once every few months and ALWAYS just after it's rained or while it's still raining, so all they do is smash down most of the long grass and make mud tracks through the yards. The laundry is coin laundry, but they only 2 quarter machines located at the office and more often than not they are empty or out of order. Our washers are constantly leaking all over the floor or breaking down and one time the hot and cold lines were switched on one of them. The cops are at the complex daily for one reason or another and there's been at least 2 shooting deaths since I moved in a year and a half ago. Overall, the apartment itself isn't bad and it's a lot of space for the price in the area, but management doesn't care about the complex or the residents and the complex isn't necessarily safe.

You get what you pay for. The apartments are ok, nothing great but hard to find something under a grand in GR. Management is ----, communication is terrible, they rather get more people in than satisfy the current tenant. Maintenance has no communication. I put in repair requests and they claim to do them but they either do a half --- job or don't do it at all. Been here for like 7 months, right away I put in a request for bed bugs (they tried blaming it on me, even though I hadn't fully moved my stuff in, I had mold in my bathroom (that ----ed me up for 2 weeks) and I have a ton of bugs go into my apartment because they refuse to seal my windows properly to have air flow but keep the bugs out.

York Creek is among the most affordable apartment complexes in the area, though there have been several increases. The maintenance and grounds keeping is very good, and the apartments themselves are pretty nice. I live on the third floor and the addition of the loft gives it a lot more usable space. The main downside that I know of is if you want to move from one apartment to another, you have to re-apply, which means you get socked with all the fees. Even when I just wanted to rent another garage for storage, they told me I had to apply and pay all the fees incurred with it. I refused and paid a storage company instead. It cost a little more, but without the fees. I figured I had been renting here for six years, and should not have to pay fees, which amount to a tax. I felt it was unfair.

I've lived in my apartment for 11 years and every year they raise the rent 20 to $40 except for this year they want to raise it $86 that inconsistency is ridiculous. I don't understand why the rent has to go up every year when it's the same resident that's been living there.

Rent keeps going up even though there have been no improvement to property. Been harassed by neighbor for two years and the most the apartment does is "talk to him" but it has done nothing to slow or stop his harassment of my roommates and I.

I think it's expensive and they don't do enough to make me feel better about living here. The old blonde lady at the business center was rude, maintenance wants to act funny about when to come fix things now, it's hard to get out of here sometimes because cars want to block the road or kids want to play in the street. There's sometimes trash strewn in the yard, in all of the grass, instead of the dumpsters. The dumpsters are too full most of the time. Also, there's never any sales for rent, they just want to raise it all the time. Also, if my rent is due in the first and I remember at midnight, they charge me $10 and I'm tired of that too. I can hear the families above me, they're loud and sometimes the workers wake me up because of some construction project that they never gave warning to working on. I wanted to sleep, I work a lot. They want to charge people just for adding occupants, and the blue mailboxes in the park look broke down.

I love it here and would definitely recommend people here. I especially like the staff there very respectful and very helpful. Where I live it's quiet, clean and respectful. The only thing irritating is the bee and wasps hives but that's it of y'all control but when we call about them you guys take care of them. Me and my kids is grateful

It has been mostly good with a few exceptions. My first decade(+) here there was no place for children to play and a few families got evicted for that reason. Recently, I called in to have my towel bar replaced in the second bathroom. I got a call back by a guy in the maintenance office and basically he "Is that all?" and he hung up. I haven't dealt with them since. I complained last month about a bee problem on my deck they said they would send someone over in a day or two and I'm still waiting.

You get what you pay for. The apartments are old and need serious updating. I will say the maintenance department does a great job when you need something died though. Called because my toilet wouldn't stop running and it was fixed the same day.
