Love this community. All the staff are great and Very nice. This is a great place to move the area people and neighborhood are well maintained. This is the University area so the prices are a little high unless you catch a special but it is still worth it.

It's okay . They need to start answering the damn phone. It's no reason I should call multiple times and not answe the phone but when u want it it's a lot of workers . My cable hasn't been working since I moved in and when I call nobody seems to care but it's included in my rent that's what I don't understand .

These past few months has been an horrible experience. New office staff are rude and have no compassion. Mold lingers inside of my apartment and no one cares. This is not sanitary for a living quarters. I wouldn't recommend a dog to rent out one of these apartments.

This place has one of the worst management teams I've ever dealt with. There weren't too many issues for the first 8 months - everything was relatively tidy, maintenance was prompt the few times I reached out to them, and there was usually low concern about my packages being picked up by someone else. Ownership/management here needs a MAJOR re-working. In the 12 months I lived at Halton, I saw 4(!) entirely different full-time management teams rotated in, each one less efficient than the last. The first team was relatively uninterested in me as a renter, which is completely fine because they resolved every issue in a timely and effective manner. The two in between I only ever saw for package pick-ups, so I can't comment on their them, but the final team was unbearable. A bit of background; I worked from home throughout the duration of my lease with Halton, and still do as of the day this was published, so it's essential that my living space and environment be controlled (within reason). New tenants moved into the apartment above just 3 months before the end of my lease, and unfortunately they were the nightmarish tenants used in every cliche: they were up all hours of the day and night yelling profanities, it constantly sounded like they were putting stuff together, and when they weren't they played music so loud the bass made my wall vibrate and I could hear every lyric. As you can imagine, this isn't conducive to a work-from-home environment, and resulted in many customers, coworkers, and even managers asking about the ruckus. This isn't directly Halton's fault, so I'll get back to my review and how this ties in. On more than one occasion I would have to call the front office in hopes that the fourth and final management team could do something to help keep the peace. The first few times they said that they would call and ask the above tenants to stop, but it never did. Of the 6-7 phone calls I made and somebody on-staff assured me it would be dealt with, only the last time did the loud bass-boosted music stop (probably because the assistant manager on-site said she came by to check and she could hear the music playing from the parking lot), and even that was only for about an hour and a half. When I tried to follow-up later that day (finally fed up with nothing changing), they started forwarding my calls to the office voicemail. I tested with my roommates phone (different area code) and they answered without hesitation, though I just hung up to avoid blacklisting a second number. It took me a week and two voicemails before they decided to get back to me, and it was a phone call from them saying they've done everything they can and I'll just need to tolerate it. As a side note, the place was also loaded with roaches for the first 5 or so months. The extermination team had to swing by 5 times before the issue was finally dealt with, so if you're uncomfortable with bugs, this isn't the place for you. All in all, the apartments are spacious and the maintenance team is pretty fast, but it's not worth the cost or trouble unless your standards are pretty low and you're the kind of person that never takes issue with anything.

the standard of proper management is going down quickly. Tenants getting up dog poop is not enforced so you see dog poop all over. tenants leave garbage outside their doors and it's starting to attract raccoons, there's a lot of loitering where cars are coming here and just sitting, playing loud music and nothing is being done about it. Some of the Sober Living tenants leave food lion grocery buggies throughout the complex, and it's starting to look badly. I won't renew another lease.

My overall experience at this apartment complex was not awful. For the most part I felt it was a decent place to live. That being said, I have two major grievances that, in my opinion, warrant a zero star rating - if that were even possible. 1.) Some of the kids at this complex are terrible. They would harass me to the point that I simply began avoiding them. I would actually sit in my car as they were walking home from the bus and wait for them to pass through my building before I went inside. They would bounce balls against the exterior walls of my apartment. They would ring the doorbell and run away. Finally, in the last month of me residing there one of them decided to spit on my door. This was the breaking point for me. I emailed the complex explaining everything I had experienced and never once did anyone reach out to me. They did, however, submit a maintenance request to clean my door (which never actually happened) so I know for a fact they received my email. 2.) When I set up automatic payments for my rent & utilities I selected that these automated payments end at the conclusion of my lease. The month prior to my lease ending I received an automated email which gave me my prorated balance for my final month - this email was generated through the same system that managed my automated payments. I made the incorrect assumption that it would automatically withdraw my prorated amount of ~$100 and not an entire month's rent & utilities totaling over $1000. I felt this was a fair assumption given the document I was emailed with my prorated balance was through the same system my automated payments were processed through. When I realized the error (the morning I was leaving for vacation out of the country) I started making phone calls. I spoke with a receptionist who really wasn't able to assist with the matter (understandably so) but I was assured I could speak with the manager when she came in or the assistant manager would relay the message and then update me once she knew something. Not once, to this day (and it's been four weeks since they took my money), have I actually been able to speak to the manager. Eventually, five days after over $1000 was taken from my bank account in error, I did receive an email saying the refunded money would be mailed to my forwarding address. It has been exactly four weeks since they took the money from my bank account and I still have not received any refund. I have sent five emails in the last nine days with no response whatsoever. Any potential residents should be aware of this because this could happen to anyone. When I initially spoke to the receptionist she told me it had happened to another person just a few days prior.

I have live in this community for several years and it has been a pleasant experience. The staff and maintenance crew are always pleasant when you see them around the community. I would definitely recommend this property to friend that are new to the area. I also love the convenience of the location. It's on the outskirt of the city, but the area has a lot of amenities to enjoy.

I have only been living here for a little over month. For starters when I first moved in and started the renting process there were initial fees that I was not told about before filling out my lease, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. The next thing that happened was after moving in I was told someone would come and show me how to use my security alarm. No one ever showed. So the next day I went and asked if someone would come by and show me. I was told they would come by so I went back and waited and they never showed up. I went back and asked again two more time, and the only reason on the fourth time that they finally came by was because I stood in the office until someone came with me. Finally and by far the worst thing that has happened to me so far is that I missed my first months rent. I will take responsibility for the fact that I didn't read my lease thoroughly, but at my last apartment rent was paid at the end of the month. This being only my second apartment that I have ever rented I believed that this would be the same. Unfortunately I was wrong and my rent was due on the 1st. This was made extra confusing because after pay the prorate rent, I asked what that was because I had never had to pay that before. I thought it was part of my first rent and I would have to pay the rest later. I was given a strait answer to this question. So after missing my fist payment on the first, I receive no email warning me of the missed payment or a warning of having to pay or I will be filed against, which the office claims their system is suppose to automatically do. So with received no warning I return home to find that I had been filed against. When I went to the office I no one wanted to listen to what I had to say, the only response I received from the major that day was that she didn't care and that it was all in my lease. No help, no discussion, no attempt to understand, just a rude response that was repeated to me. This was bad enough, but after talking with someone about this situation I was informed that since the company had filed on me that it would go against my credit, and it would make it very difficult for me to move into another apartment, or buy a house because that would be on my credit for the next 5 to 10 years. So in the span of one month I have been lied to, ignored, and my credit has been severely damaged. If you have other option on were you can live I would suggest you take those options and don't come here.

Be careful if you have children. Residents and visitors drive EXTREMELY FAST throughout the complex, and nothing is done to thwart the possibility of a child being hit by a vehicle. Some residents are given chance after chance as it pertains to noise complaints. So the chances of you actually enjoying your "Right of peace and enjoyment" is pretty slim. I would try to find a house to rent first; as my family will be moving from this complex upon the end of our lease.

My experience has been very good. The saff and maintenance crew have been friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful. The care team is always planning activities for the residents to come together and also get to know the staff. The amenities are great. I would recommend.

The office staff has a tendency to be unresponsive when you need them at times. There are tons of kids who refuse to get out of the street when they see a car coming. They are slow to respond to service requests some times. They are unwilling to serve the residents needs when asked about certain things.

I doubt I will renew my lease. The common area maintenance has gotten worse over the years and the noise level from neighbors has gone up. I have complained to the management office and they did nothing.Pet parking lighting is also poor at night.

So far so good, however my unit does seem to have an extreme ant problem (similar to my neighbors) in addition to a few bugs here or there. Other than that first negative encounter I have not seen much of any crime, unsafe hazards unattended to, etc.

Compared to other apartments that I saw, Halton Park had the most spacious rooms. Also, moving from a house into an apartment caused me to have a need for storage and I was very pleased to learn that the apartment I rented came with a storage unit.

The staff is friendly and courteous. The apartment is clean, modern and spacious. The application process was simple and included online access. The office has hours to accommodate working residents. This concludes my comments I don't understand how this REQUIRES one to write up to 200 characters. I've said all I desire to say!!

it's been alright. the location is nice however there have several instances upon move in when I feel there was a miscommunication between myself and the staff. and I've been told the wrong/contradictory information which made the move in process very difficult.

So far a great place to live, very clean and quiet. If you live on the bottom floor just be prepared to hear the constant walking of your neighbors on top. They take well care of the property grounds, although I see a lot of people with pets and they don't pick up after thier pets but the groundskeepers are excellent!

Well so far living there it's very quiet and the staff there seem to be concerned. Parking should have more visitor parking spots but overall that's the only I have a problem with. I love Halton park though. I can't wait to see what else is in store.

Clean and friendly environment. Great apartment floor plans, the 3B3B is nice and spacious, also it's very convenient if you have a roommate. Having all the utilities including cable and Internet is a plus! Definitely a complex others should consider.

The apartments and grounds here are very well maintained, young kids are desperately trying to ruin the peace of the apartments. Staff turnover is very high and not always professional and friendly after the lease has been signed and you're locked into a contract.

This complex has been good to me, the only complaint I have is parking. There just isn't enough for the residents and visitors in the back 6 buildings. I hate that my friends have to walk from the front to come see me, it isn't safe! Especially at night.
