I have been towed, I have had my AC unit broke and it took abut 2 weeks to finally get fixed. My friends have also been towed and I have not had an overall good experience at this complex. I also was disappointed about how others treat the complex. I do not recommend this complex to anyone.

The workers are nice and helpful, Stephanie is amazing. However, the price we pay is unreasonable and the amount of issues we've had are absurd. In addition to that, we were not told about the construction going on that would require our balcony to be taken over. We resigned our lease with 1225 and are more than disappointed in the experience we have had.

So far so good. Under construction still but it has been very nice. There has been some problems with delivery with parcel pending and USPS getting access to my building, but I hope this will be solved soon. The wall outlets on the east wall of the kitchen also do not work anymore.

The Apartment is pretty good I am satisfied with the apartment itself but the apartment complex is not that great. There has been a lot of construction and some other issues. People dont clean up after their dogs....

This apartment complex is unsafe and has done nothing to improve safety conditions after a break-in. They also told us there would be no construction, but have now taken our deck (favorite part of our place) for the whole months of June and July for construction, without rent reduction. Our appliances don't work and the place holds smells for days. The units are big and the view is nice, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Early on the issues with theft & vandalism concerned me. That seems to have stopped. Working with the office staff is always a pleasant experience. If I have to relocate or move for any reason I will look for an MAAC owned/managed property first.

Coffee machines need to be fixed more timely. It's supposed to be a perk but it's more a hassle than anything when we learn to rely on them. Also, there is so much dog feces everywhere. Can a better solution not be put in place?

It was great over the summer, but now that there is construction going on I have cried multiple times because I want to leave so bad and the community won't do anything to help. I have sent emails and called and they never get back to me. Other people around the complex complain about the office people never responding to them as well. The construction is the worst obviously and I know everyone is complaining about it. The rebuilding isnt the worst part, MMA is the worst part. They dont care about their residents, they just want their money. I am due to resign soon and people have told me that they were advised to move out if they were mad about the construction because other people would pay to live here and they didn't need us. I really really want to stay, I still have hope that the construction will be done before summer, but right now I am very unhappy living here. I hate packing all my stuff up but will probably move solely based on the way the office treats people.

It's been great! Everyone in the leasing office has been extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with. Moving and getting the keys to the apartment were extremely easy and convenient. Would reccommend to a friend!

DO NOT LIVE HERE.. If I could give this place a zero I would. I've lived at 1225 for the past year, and it has been the worst living experience of my life. First off, my leasing agent lied to me about how much I would be paying. She made it sound like $1378 covered rent and the utilities package...It doesn't. She also told me my first month would be free. A week later I get a bill for $1500 when it was supposed to be $45 for the one day of April I had it. Theres big difference between $45 and $1500. On top of that, every amenity here is awful. It took them 8 1/2 months to redo the gym after they told me they were doing it within a few weeks of me moving in and the gym still barely has anything in it, the grills don't work, the garage door never opens, the door to walk out of the garage is always stuck close and won't open, the elevator will literally skip right past my floor, there's dog crap everywhere, residents are loud and blast music, and there's trash everywhere. The parking is horrendous. If you come home after 8 pm then there are zero spots left in either parking garage. For almost $1500 a month I should be entitled to a freaking parking spot. Then there's all this construction which wakes me up every morning, and takes away half the outside spots and the visitor parking which is already extremely limited to begin with. The dog walks here are disgusting. They are cleaned maybe once a week. Multiple dogs here have gotten sick from it including my young puppy. The pool is always closed for some random absurd reason like the phone being broken. The other pool is like a giant frat party when it's even open. In terms of my actual apartment, the first 2 weeks I lived here multiple things started breaking and falling apart including the toilet seat, sink, tub, toilet paper holder, oven and microwave, half the outlets didn't work, it took them a month to come paint two walls, and on top of that there are wasp nests on my balcony that pest control is yet to come take care. Good thing I pay $5 a month for pest control NOT to come. Just waste some more of my hard earned money. The appliances are terrible and old. I pay $25 a month for valet trash service, when half the time they don't even come or skip over my apartment. Of course the leasing agent failed to mention that the trash chute was 3 doors down, so by the time I figured it out and asked to opt out of it, she told me that wasn't an option cause its part of the awful utilities package that is way over priced. On top of all that, the internet and cable are awful and never work. I'm supposed to move out Saturday, and now theres all these move out fees and cleanings I have to pay for. The furniture rental company does not pick up on weekends, so they won't be able to pick up until Monday. They attempted to call the leasing office here to explain that it is not my fault the furniture won't be removed until Monday, when most properties will understand and wave the extra fee, and the leasing office here was so unbelievably unaccommodating. They're charging me an extra $130 on top of everything else for just my furniture to sit there for a day and a half. I've never been so unsatisfied with an apartment complex in my life. For the amount of money I pay all of this is completely unacceptable. Something needs to be done about this. And I know I'm not the only person who feels this way and has had these issues. Everyone here can't wait to move out including me. I would have bought my lease out months ago if it was't so freaking expensive.

Stephanie Holley is extremely kind and very prompt. The community hosts events monthly, that often feature deals to local breweries :). Great location. Great leasing staff and beautiful property. No complaints.

I have loved at 1225 for 1.5 years and don't have many complaints other than parking and the HVAC system. Parking can be a real pain during any event in uptown as Southend serves as overflow for those events. There has been many times I had to call a tow company to come remove illegally parked cars just so I could come home. I do understand that parking is a problem anywhere need the city so I don't stress about that. My biggest complaint is the HVAC. In the last year it has gone out 5 times! The 1st 4 times was last summer all within 1.5 months I've each other. Many nights we had to sleep with Windows open in 80 degree summer nights! It was miserable. Also the A/C would be stick running full blast even when it was off so our power bill for those two months increased by 100$! I asked for. Compensation and I was ignored on multiple occasions! During the winter we didn't have any problems. Then saturday night 4/22 our A/C went out but I waited till Monday 4/24 at 8am to ask for someone to come take a look cause it was 50 outside and we didn't need any A.C... Also didn't want to bother maintenance on a Sunday.. I walked done to our office on 4/24 just to confirm someone would be coming by. There were two new women working the desk I have never seen before and one quickly snapped a reply that we have contacted all residents That they were having issues with the key system. I told her I never received a call and she replied I must have spoken to your roommate then. Well I don't have roommate so she was just making stuff up at this point. She looked up my status in the computer and said it's pending so that means it's going to be fixed today then turned her back to me and started a new conversation with a coworker.. I have never been talked to like this or treated such a way at 1225. Well now's it's 822pm on 4/24 And no one ever came by. This HVAC needs to be replaced obviously and stop having patches thrown on it. Also the new leasing office staff could be a touch nicer. The way I was treated today is what prompted my 1st review ever of any business!

To live in South End, it's a good price for rent and an apartment. It's definitely a very young community which is fun at times and annoying during others. For example, the pool kind of looks like spring break on weekends during the summer. The most unfortunate thing is that people do not pick up after their dogs. It's gross. The building is not kept up incredibly well. There was a piece of toast sitting in a stairwell for at least a month.

Very friendly staff and great community to live in. I would highly recommend this apartment complex. The People are all very friendly and people were willing to help with the move-in. Favorite part was the fact that cable and internet is included in rent.

Experience is mediocre. I will be moving to another property once my lease is up. The property is not kept very nicely and the inside the building it seems no one cleans the hallways. The amount of rent that is charged does not reflect any amenities that are available.

Overall, I've had a good experience living in this apartment building. The location is fantastic and makes it worth the rent. The staff is also very friendly. However, parking was an issue at night. The garage always filled up so if you work late, you would have to park on the streets. Construction also prevented me from using my balcony for over half of my leasing period. The policy for receiving packages is also unclear. They have lockers but most carriers don't deliver to those lockers. They just end up leaving it outside of the apartment door. I had a package go missing that was never found. Aside from those minor comments, I've enjoyed living in this apartment building and have had no other problems.

Overall, I've really enjoyed my time here. Pros: Beautiful apartment complex/pools (pools heated in winter), pretty new apartments, close to uptown/south end, nice neighbors, quick maintenance repairs, clean, mostly quick staff with answering questions Cons: Construction that continues on weekend mornings (this construction should be done by summer of 2017), South End rent prices, outdated Windows operating system/slow internet in office area, residential/guest parking can be a pain at times (nights a minor headache for residents, weekend nights a decent headache for guests)

The location of 1225 South Church is the only thing they have going for them. I have lived here for 6 months now and it has been one thing after another. There is constant construction which is EXTREMELY loud. I was willing to deal with that until they cut through my apartment with an electric saw and then made me wait almost 3 weeks before it was fully painted and repaired. I have also had to keep my patio furniture inside my small studio apartment almost the entire time I have lived here. They painted it but of course forgot to put a clear coat over so the paint is sticky and peels off on your shoes. I was told they would make it back sometime in the next 2 weeks but of course no set date or time for my convenience. The halls and walls are dirty, as well as the staircase. I've called to talk to the leasing office about all of these conditions but they are no help. Nothing changes. Save yourself the hassle and money and don't move here.

The staff here is amazing, extremely helpful and will go above and beyond to assist you in any way they can. Also very informative and can answer just about anything you have for them. The building is great and other residents are very friendly. Parking can be a hassle later in the day but that is the only complaint thus far. Great place in a great neighborhood

Southend luxury apartment just a step above the surrounding complexes. Parking is okay for the renter, the appliances are decent as well as the layout, coloring, and building materials. The amenities are nice, and it is awesome to be so close to everything, yet just far enough off that the street noise is muted. Sound proofing isn't great, especially between the hallways and the rooms, though thankfully it seems more one way, so you don't have to worry so much about other people hearing wat you are saying in your appartment, but you can hear almost everything echoing through the hallways. Sound between floors transfers, but not as bad as some of the other places in the area. Sound intrusion from next door neighbors is suprisingly low (bonus!). There is an unspoken common rule with noise which you will need to be okay with or you won't like it - Nights before "normal" non-work days (e.g., holidays, and Friday, Saturday) are noisey, but nights before normal workdays are quiet by 8 or so. I enjoy this because it gives me sleep for work and lets me feel free to play my music and have get togethers at the appropriate times. Parking is okay, but they push the limit with what they have. One car per apartment in the garage period, no guest parking, and limited outside parking for other tenants. I have managed so far, but I have had to park off premise once in 2.5 years, and have spent a few nights circling for 15-20 minutes to find a spot. I haven't been to a place in the area in the same price range that's as nice as 1225. The maintenance staff are top notch and will fix everything from a lour refrigerator to replacing a light bulb. With that said, maintenance answers to the office management who don't know anything about fixing places - this has caused some needless headaches, wich could easily be fixed by giving the maintenance staff more free reign (of course this infers budgetary freedom so not likely). The distance from the elevator to some rooms can be really annoying, each division is a U, and the street facing side of the U does not have an elevator closer than the base of the U. My biggest issue with the place is that management does things occasionally that afffect the residence, and there is nothing you can do about it and they don't respond or offer any type of discounts for inconvenience. For example, they are doing construction right now, nobody was warned beyond a couple weeks, and it involves each balcony being blocked off by way of boards holding sliding glass doors shut from the outside, and taped onto the window, blue tarps pulled across all balconies and windows, workers rightoutside your room, and it has lasted on average 3 months per renter. This is a horrible inconvenience, yet they have not offered an appology, drop in rent, or anything to make up for the inconvenience. If it weren't for that, I would give them 4.5 stars (in relation to all other competitors in the area), but can't quite get over having a tarped over balcony and windows without the slightest compensation. Another new one is you can now only have one guest at the pool with you and you both need to have arm bands, which is exremely restrictive if you have a social life. I would move here again if I were to do it over, but I deeply resentful of the higher level managment because of the construction. They have taken our windows, balconies, view of the outdoors, and privacy to an extent completely away for 2-4 months depending on the renter, and have not offered the slightest accomodation for having done so. I would feel wonderful about my time, and will be happy when this construction if over, but compensation or a class action law suit for our loss of contracted living conditions would make me much happier.

HONEST REVIEW Do not move here! There are so many other places that you can move to and get more bang for your buck. The leasing office manager and assistant manager are very rude and uncaring. I can not wait to move! We were showed one apartment and then when it was time to move in, our apartment looked completely different. That was my first sign not to move in. The hallways are disgusting and smell of animal piss. I have had to email the leasing office and ask for the hallways to be vacuumed due to the amount of dirt and trash that is left in the hallways. Any given day you will find dog pee and poop in the stair ways and elevator. When the elevator is working that is as it is frequently out of service. The buildings are extremely noisy due to the construction so don't expect any rest if you are home during the day. Be prepared to hear neighbors running and yelling throughout the hallways on any given night. The only positive about the complex is the location. This has honestly been the worst leasing experience I have ever had and I would hate for anyone else to go through this. Please don't do it; RECONSIDER !!

Living in 1225 S Church about almost a year now. I like my unit, is quite. A studio with lots of light and space. Nice kitchen and storage available in the building. I would recommend living in 1225. I hope some thing will improve in common areas and security but average this is a nice community.
