I'm a young professional new to Charlotte and was looking for an apartment close to the city/airport (travel convenience), walkable and fun. Everyone here has been great so far. Really impressed with the quality of the apartment adn staff.

I have been living at 1225 South Church Apartments for almost a month now. I love my experience so far! The location is great the atmosphere with and courtesy from neighbors is like being back on a campus. Everyone is willing to network and extend a kind gesture. First day moving in neighbors introduced themselves and helped me move in a few things.

It's been overall good. Maintenance is great, amenities are great. If anything, I wish our apartment could get updated while we are residents. I've been here about 3 years and it kind of sucks that everyone else is getting updated. I don't really want to have to move to get this done as a long-term resident.

Overall a great apartment complex to live at. The location is hard to beat. It's within walking distance from uptown and from lively south end with all its bars, restaurants, and shopping. Nice amenities - two small gyms, two pools, coffee machines, lounge areas and a small movie screening room. Maybe less amenities than the newer complexes in Charlotte, but I believe the location and price make up for it. Very pet friendly as well and has plenty of areas to walk dogs. Exterior construction repairs on the outside of the buildings have seemed to be ongoing in the past year I've lived here. They break it up in phases for each building. But after they've wrapped up a phase and move on to the next, I can't ever really tell what's been fixed or changed. Luckily, the repairs only really affects you if they close your balcony off to work on it, or when the construction workers block off parking spots for their trucks. Usually the apartment complex will arrange parking for you in a nearby lot which is appreciated.

Awful. The place is too expensive for such deplorable conditions. There is dog crap all over the place. The halls and wall are dirty. The construction to the courtyard is taking forever. The noise from the construction is annoying.

Do not live here, this is the worst apartment complex in Southend. Not only is it run poorly, but they have break-ins (and still don't fix the broken doors) as well as garbage and construction everywhere. The office will say anything just to get you to sign.

It has been great so far. The office staff has been great and very helpful with concerns or questions I have had. I would definitely recommend living at 1225 South Church Street. Ask for 's wonderful!!

I recently moved in, but like it so far. The grounds are nice. There is construction going on which is not my favorite, but knew about it prior to moving in. The office staff could be better about returning phone calls, I felt like I had to harass them when moving in. I also wish there was more guest parking, the current situation is a little frustrating.

I've lived here for half a year, and many of the things that I have seen from this complex do not impress me. I hope that the next half of the year improves. It is hard to imagine opting to live here again once my lease runs out

So far, so good. Front desk is very helpful and seems to enjoy their job unlike some other apartment locations. Building in my opinion is full of young professionals looking to work hard and play hard on the weekend. Noise is fair and location is fantastic. Recommend a roommate to save money if looking to have more money for weekend activities.

Constant issues regarding my bill. Charges have been inaccurately posted multiple times. Two pest issues within the first week of moving in. Construction going on in the courtyard makes it very difficult to even do anything productive in my apartment.

The office staff is great but the amenities are not worth it compared to other similarly priced communities. Parking is terrible. I do like the MAA Connect piece though. They take a long time for repairs.

It's nice, not as loud as other reviewers have said it was. Still have yet to hear my neighbors. I honestly would not mind living here for more than a year, but as always #aintnoooooooooooooootellin

Terrible! Entrance door always locks you out or it's not locked at all. Always trash in stairwells and dirty carpets. Nothing but party kids and their loud friends. The pool area is always a dorm party gone very wrong with broken glass and trash!!!! Amenities never work! The security guard is the only nice person here that does anything. Management does nothing for you or your concerns.

I have lived here about 8 months and if you only listen to one thing I say, listen to this. DO NOT choose to live here if you have any other choice. First I will list the positives. The location is great, close to all uptown and Southend has to offer, and the staff all seem very nice. Rent was about 8% cheaper on average than other places in the vicinity. That's it. Now the negatives. The place is absolutely disgusting. Other reviews have mentioned it. They only keep the areas they tour clean. The hallways smell and the carpets are stained. I can't tell you how many times I have walked past dead cockroaches in the hallways that have sat for a week or more in the middle of the hall. The place is like a college dorm on the weekends. I guess the slightly lower rent attracts a younger crowd. Constantly loud, and big bags of leaky empty beer cans line the hallways. Don't try to relax by the pool during the summer weekends either, it's a constant mix of beer pong tournaments, loud music, and dirty pool water. The fitness centers themselves are sub-par. The equipment is about the cheapest quality and probably a 3rd or more does not function properly. No maintenence schedule that I have ever seen to keep the equipment in good working condition. Also the water fountains in the club houses/ fitness centers constantly go in and out of order, and the bathrooms don't seem to be cleaned very often. On a positive note they did just remodel the phase 1 gym and it's much better than it was. None of the computers in the "business centers" they advertise as an amenity work properly as they don't have Internet access most times I have checked. Not a big deal to me personally, but don't advertise it if they don't work. The security gate into phase 1 does not shut itself properly which is why I took a star off for safety. You have to pull it shut or it just stays open, and it's right beside the leasing office, not like they haven't noticed it. There is not enough parking even for the residents let alone any guests. There have been many nights I have had to work late and come home to find zero empty parking spots in the garage forcing me to find public parking along the street. The apartment itself isn't too bad, but not as nice as most of the other places in the area. The 8% cheaper average rent does not make up for the corners they cut in quality of the apartment. It seems fine at first but the longer you live there the more you begin to notice the negative details. Overspray paint on the floors and cabinets, tiny bathtub, mediocre appliances, lack of hardwood or simulated hardwood in the living room like every single other place in the area has. I could never give a positive recommendation to this place being as it is.never having lived in an apartment I made a mistake of assuming all of these places would be of very similar quality, but I have been to multiple places around the area where friends live and can say now this places is bottom of the barrel when it comes to quality. If you can afford the extra $100 rent it will cost, choose to live anywhere else in the area.

I love my apartment and the area it is in close to Southend. The neighborhood is quiet, but the walls are thin. Everyone has a dog since there aren't any dog restrictions, but not everyone picks up after themselves or their dog. The hallways have stained carpet and smell like dog urine all the time. The stairwells have beer cans/bottles and dog poop for days and days. Poor maintenance clean up. THEY ONLY KEEP THE AREAS CLEAN THAT ARE SHOWN DURING TOURS OF POTENTIAL RESIDENTS. DON'T BE FOOLED.

The experience with the office individuals was very pleasant as mentioned before. The apartment itself had light bulbs out, paint splatter on most surfaces in the place including all door knows. The closet door was rubbed on the bathroom floor.

Overall not bad, but for the price I would like more of an experience. Dog poop throughout the complex is also an issue, as well as the construction that is on going. I wish our pool was still open, but it has been closed all season.

My upstairs neighbor is loud and I can hear them move around. I would only recommend the apartment to someone if they live on the top floor. The stairways are not very clean and when it rains a lot the hallway becomes wet. The washer and dryer are loud and annoying.

Very good so far I have just moved in. My apartment was not very clean when I first moved in and there were quite a few damages to the appliances. I am right near a staircase and the door slams a lot causing a lot of noise in my apartment. The location is convenient.

Overall we have been satisfied with our stay here. There are just a few incidents here and there that cause us to not be completely satisfied but we also understand that there is a lot going on day to day. We love the location, but feel like with so many places being built, going above and beyond is key to separating ones self from the rest.
