Terrible! Wish I never renewed my lease!!!!!!! Ready to move ready to moveeeeeeeee. Broken appliances, slow response from staff. Trash improved that's nice other than that I wish I moved out instead of renewing my lease in ready to get out of my lease! Won't recommend

I have lived at two different properties managed by MAA, and I appreciate their professionalism. The neighbors at the community are also very friendly and don't party all night (unlike other Southend apartments...). The location is great for walking to Uptown and Southend!

This place is a relatively inexpensive place to live in a good location. That is it. The staff will not go out of their way to help you. They might lose your packages. The company will throw unexpected construction on you (seemingly timed in the middle of everyone's lease) and take away balcony access in the best weather of the year. If your AC breaks, it's not an urgent fix. And when they do try to fix it, it will take three or four service requests for them to actually attempt to diagnose the problem. Prepare yourself for animal excrement in the elevators in the cold months. It might be there all week if you don't tell management about it. Save yourself some trouble and don't live here.

Apartment is extremely loud due to garage door. Was told this cannot be fixed. I was not told about this problem before moving into the apartment. There has been poor communication since the incident. Other than that the apartment is OK. Thanks.

Great experience, the community is extremely beautiful, clean, the staff is very nice and helpful. The room is huge and has a great kitchen and bathroom and balcony with view of uptown Charlotte. The move in process was quick and easy. Great folks living in and around the community!

Most of the apartment buildings in South End are pretty comparable. I had the best experience touring this apartment, and it seemed to be the best location (close enough to bars/light rail/shops, but not right next to them). I like the double pools and my view of Uptown. Overall, it's a decent value for the apartment, and right in line with other apartments in South End.

So far my experience has been enjoyable. I submit tickets for service and much to my surprise I received calls notifying me of the progress on my request which is very considerate. I enjoy being here and I look forward to staying here. Thank you

The leasing office staff is extremely friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Maintenance is done quickly and efficiently. The community is kept neat and comfortable. The hosted and impromptu resident activities are engaging and fun to attend.

Usually, I am fairly satisfied with my apartment and apartment community. However, the recent construction project taking place is drastically decreasing the value of what us residents are receiving compared to what we pay. Though temporary, we should be compensated for the time we are losing the square footage of our balconies, access to opening any windows/doors (that must violate fire code), as well as the mess on the exterior of our home.

Love living here. Perfect South End location with incredibly helpful staff. Amenities are great and it's so close to all that this amazing city has to offer - for an incredibly reasonable price compared to other units going up in the area recently.

I have had a generally unsatisfactory experience. My packages have been held for months at a time without any notification. Leasing management once came through a private party I was have in a reserved clubhouse room. The communication of new parking rules was nonexistent and caused hundreds of dollars in fees to be paid. There are issues with the trash where it often stinks up the hallway. Not very organized, as it took about four weeks to get any information on the paint color to repaint walls before move out. I initially loved the complex because of the location and the ability to walk around uptown or Southend, but the multiple other issues, and the rent price did not make this worth it.

Well i was locked out of my building the first night because the electronic pass stopped working after 5 pm. I love the area and the people are quite friendly. There needs to be access to emergency numbers so we know who to call when different problems occur.

My experience at this community has been incredibly frustrating. I'm not paying this much money for service received. My newspaper is never delivered, the package room temporarily misplaces things all the time, the external doors are constantly broken and other tenants are super loud at all hours.

Good community and I've made a lot of friends here over the past 2 years. Younger crowd but not a frat house atmosphere for the most part. Guest parking is a problem as it is with all apartments in the vicinity of uptown but overall I've had a good experience. The package locker system is a nice touch.

I recently moved into this apartment complex. I'm really enoying it so far. The apartment is very well kept and modern. The location of the complex is convenient to work and great restaurants. The staff of the complex is very helpful and maintenance requests are handled in a timely manner. I feel safe and at home here. I'm glad I chose 1225.

My experience has been overall good. Very disappointed with the placement of elevators in phase 2, as there is no easy route to my apartments other than the stairs. Which is fine for me (other than moving in and out), but for my father with hip replacement is a little tough as the hallways are extremely long. Also, parking garage situation isn't very good. I have a pass, but often times all of the spots are full. So I guess it had been over booked. Think there should be assigned spaces to ensure parking in the garage because being able to park in parking garage is a large reason why I chose to live here

The staff are friendly, and grounds are really well kept. The staff host events for the residence, and are prompt to respond to any feedback or concerns that you may have. The residents are working professionals so the weekdays are calm and quiet. It feels like I live on a resort.

Initially there were many issues with water coming through windows and mold below Windows due to this with no urgency for the company to do anything about this and no compensation or help for the damage. parking can be very difficult to find especially when we work late at night and there is no help for this. Noise control is poor. Currently with construction the noise is very annoying, there should not be any construction on Saturdays and there should be some compensation for not having a balcony or able to open windows. Other than these complaints the experience has been ok.

Although the staff is helpful, yet the biggest problem here is that the entire apt is very much fragile. You will hear the steps of people walking on your ceiling on the next floor and loud ! And also the annoying vibrations of the running fan of the apt below your floor. The cost of repair for the damages during your stay would be too high and unreasonable. Even if the repair is possible at a lower cost, the maintenance manager would quote an entire replacement of the damaged part which would be difficult to digest. I have been staying here since the last 10 months, could have continued but I fear of the obvious wear and tear that I would be held responsible for at the end and the replacements associated with them would cost me my one month's salary to compensate.

Everything has been great since moving in. I thought parking would be an issue but has not been so far. Few times the elevator has not worked but was fixed next day. other residents tend to leave trash everywhere & it stinks but does end up cleaned up within a few days.

Since moving in my experience has been nothing but positive. Staff have been extremely friendly and helpful, and the building is in a great location. The grounds are very well maintained, and the pool and gym are amenities I have enjoyed regularly.

Friends of mine live in the building and when I was looking to move to Charlotte I stayed with them - I happened to ask at the Leasing Office if anyone was looking for a roommate and someone was, so I ended up moving into the property too. I moved in this past weekend and so far everything has been great.

Very very good staff. Great amenities. I moved into the apartment complex at the beginning of this year and have not had an issue yet. Everyone is very nice and the staff goes out of their way. The workout facilities and Rex areas are also great.

I just moved in a few weeks. I love it so far. There are a lot of young professionals like myself. The apartments are very nice and at a reasonable price. The grounds are kept neat. And it is in a perfect location with plenty to do right next to the city.
