Over the past year my experience has not been so great. During the Winter Storm the stairs to the front entrance of my building were covered with blocks of ice, neighborhood kids are smoking pot on the stairs. Dogs poop everywhere. Frustrating

The apartment are nice but very expensive.The cable portion was not fully disclosed as an additional fee. The staff is barely available to answer calls or request. I requested a document to be faxed and the fax was never sent, so now I have to make a trip to the office to assure the document get fax. The property manager needs to in force resident to pick up dog droppings and have designated areas for dogs to use restroom.

Great amenities, great curb appeal, professional staff, although the neighborhood can use additional lamppost lighting. It get's pretty dark and there is not enough lighting. I feel safe walking these grounds but more lighting would be a plus.

Parking is limited, garbage is too far. Also, they don't clean the floor areas up in a timely manner. The high rent doesn't do justice. The area is nothing special. They try charging $950/month for a one bedroom. Are you kidding me? Not worth it.

I pay a little more for rent but Im happy with the choice. One thing that I enjoy is being on the ground level. i was concerned that my neighbor above would be noisy, but its minimal footsteps and its manageable. Thanks for the home, I love it.I cant wait to use the fitness center and the pool. I love the spacious floor plans and I love the huge kitchen area. i also think its a plus to have the washer dryer, microwave, cable, intrusion and the storage rooms.

So far the community is very nice and the residents are all very friendly. The property grounds are very well kept. I love everything about Colonial Grand. I am so excited that I choose to call Colonial Grand my new home. I recommend this property to anybody.

It's very hard to find a safe affordable apartment when you're living alone. I do wish I could take hot baths without hot water running out... I normally have to boil water in pots and add it to my bath, haha. Other than that I feel lucky. Great for single people.

So far, so good. Apartment was clean at move-in. Washer and dryer in-units. Pool looks nice (to cold to use it yet). Fitness center is on the small side. Probably a good idea to get a separate gym membership. Staff has been courteous, especially during move-in.

We just moved here in December so not too much experience to go on. So far the staff is better than most places I have been. Parking is never too bad and its a great location if you like to be close to a lot of things. May be too much hustle and bustle for someone used to rural living.

Great Community. I love living here. New Pest Control Guy is rude, dismissive and mean. He was argumentative and combative; he demanded I leave my home. He came unannounced. This was my day off and a Teacher's Workday.

We moved in to Charlotte couple of months back. We experienced the service faster, friendly and very caring. We are feeling at home! thanks for all the support. the locality is also maintained neatly. The club house is also well equipped. I am using the gym regularly

Colonial grand at Ayrsley Town is a good community. Also it is convenient to the market places nearby. The office staff as well as maintenance staff are really good. Parking spaces are easily available. The apartment themselves are spacious and great.

I like living here. I feel as if the upkeep of the property can be better. However I understand that with such a large community it is hard to fix everything. Also when someonething is wrong don't just do a temporary fix. Fix it so that it doesn't happen again.

I am very happy with choosing Colonial Grand at Arysley. The apartments are very nice for the money when compared to competing complexes. It is convenient to major highways and shopping. I feel safe walking anywhere on the complex. The grounds can get a little trashy especially around the trash disposal area. Appliances could use updating...stove is a traditional burner and are very loose. Upstairs neighbor noise but it is an apartment...it is what it is.

Horribly. I just moved in and have immediately requested to have my lease vacated (terminated). The apartment is filled with Cigarette Smoke and the staff is not very cooperative. I was like to and was told the odor was paint, and come to find out -- it is Cigarette smoke. Very strong cigarette smoke. As a person who suffers with asthma, I have gotten sick since I moved in and haven?t gotten any relief. I haven?t even unpacked because the place STINKS. They are refusing to relive me from my lease. The noise from outside is loud. Before moving here I asked of the noise level and was told it was very quiet.

Do not move here!!! I REPEAT do Not move here!!!!! They are the biggest scam artist in Charlotte! Moving out they tacked on over 250 dollars of miscellaneous fees the manager could not even explain to my roommate and I! It has been 3 months since we have moved out and received a phone call that we owe 469 to replace the carpet! I have never in my life heard such a thing! They are sneaky and will make it seem like you are getting some deal but honestly you will be paying for it in the end! They are liars and will rob you for your money!!! Worst apartment ever!

I would not recommend the complex or company to anyone. The pool is nasty dirty in the summer, us along with multiple residents have complained the office blows you off. The office staff doesn't return phone calls neither does the "regional supervisor". We had a maintenance request in and specifically said not to enter the apt if we weren't there. The day they came to do the maintenance I was home all day but about a hour and that just so happened to be when the maintenance came. Entered our home while we were gone and asked them not to and they didn't even fix eveything that was on the request. They make up rules as they go. My brother came from out of town to visit his nephew he arrived at 1:00am there was no parking (they dont have enough spaces for all residents as it is much less guests) so he parked on a curb. He got up at 830 the next morning went to leave to go to the store and is vehicle was gone. After hours of leaving complaints, phone calls and going up to the office we found the tow company. Turns out they towed his car at 3:15am, to review his vehicle was towed 2 hours after he arrived because it "wasn't parked in a space" which were all full. So $120, an entire wasted saturday, and 3 days of being told there are no managers in the office because they are all on vacation later they refuse to reimburse my brother. He is a non-resident and they have zero no parking/tow signs and still refused to do the right thing. On top of that if you plan to move here add an additional $150-$200 what they tell you your rent is for the unexplained additional fees, such as $50 for them to provide a cable connection. Never mind if you already pay a cable company for tv and internet. So for cable and internet alone we pay almost $200 between the bogus charge from the apt and what we pay twc. RIDICULOUS There are several people leaving this complex after MAA took over. I DO NOT recommend renting at any of the MAA properties. To add an update. Of course the manager response to my issues was come down and talk to us. I just want to make it clear to whoever from the complex that writes those manager reviews. If you truly cared about the residents this post would have never been made because you would have done the right thing when I called multiple times and came in to clear up this matter. Instead you turned my brother and I both away. So please don't patronize the people writing negative reviews by saying you are sorry and want to resolve the issue. Clearly that is not the case.

The community is alright but really disappointed in the communication or lack thereof. Moved in and the carpet was dirty had stains and requested for it to be cleaned mutiple times and it was never done. Renewed my lease and requested a carpet clean again and have not had a response yet. ------- does a great job as well as ------, the other girl that was in there with the ------------ seemed to have an attitude. The asst. Manager and Manger is pleasant as well....all I want is a carpet clean!

I absolutely love my apartment home! It's very spacious and in an ideal location in the community. Whenever I need something, the process is seamless with the office staff! Most likely will be renewing at the end of my lease term next year! :)

Apartments look nice, neighborhood quiet, maintenance is polite,however had to call them back to come fix things that they have already "fixed" several times before. Office staff is professional. Took the property long to open pool and have new grills functioning

Floors were dirty and apartment had several small damages. The staff had been very helpful in getting the apartment back to working order. I do like the feel of the community. It is like a community of its own and the location is great. So far the overall experience has been pleasant.

I absolutely love my community. The community is very convenient to gyms, hospitals, grocery stores, restaurants, five miles from Uptown Charlotte. All of the major highways are within five-ten minutes away. Nice and quite plus very clean.

Cannot wait for this experience to be over I have been living in colonial grand of Arsley for 1 1/2 years. I am amazed at all the fees everytime I turnaroud. Unexpected rent hikes. I live in in a 1 BEDROOM WITH NO BALCONY FOR $833.67, started out at $682.00. The grounds are beautiful and the staff isn't really the problem but the property manager is insensitive and has no willingness to compromise even when there is a screw up to no fault of the resident. I renewed my lease in April of 2014, I had a cosigner when I first moved her in 2013 so when I renewed my lease I paid the extra fee to have the person removed from my lease. Instead of removing said person they applied the funds to my rent and didn't tell me that. Now I went to the rental office for a comfirmation letter saying that the person was no longer on the lease and find out it was never done and keep in mind there was supposed to be a new lease drawn up, I signed it and everything. So now the person needs to be off my lease and the property manager says that I have to repay the fee. I am on a fixed income and can't afford it, so Isay can I get a different cosigner? They dsay yes for an additional $100 dollar fee... I am extremely disappionted and I am moving out of this place as soon as my lease is up. Beautiful place but comes with a bunch of problems. My experince.

Moved here less than two months now, has really have a bad experience yet. overall landscape and cleanliness has be good, maintenance response has been the greatest. it takes about two-three days before the respond to your services request. other than that, i have nothing against the community so far.
