I absolutely love my one bedroom at The Vinoy! The white cabinets are gorgeous, the closets are big enough to actually hold all my stuff, and the team is super helpful and friendly. For anyone looking in the University/North Charlotte area- I highly recommend you check this place out. -OL

We are getting ready to renew our lease for a third year because we love it here at The Vinoy. We know that some residents are still concerned about security because of some things that happened last January and February but since the office started using Signal 88, so much everything has been fine. They also but in some security cameras. The events that we have here are wonderful. I have never lived anywhere that they do so much for the residents.

One of the Tennis court lights were not replaced for more than year and now only 2 lights are working and it of no use for the residents , since it is getting darker in winter .we hope and pray for early replacement of those lights

I have been a resident for two years here at the vinoy. There has been a downfall in the office, very unprofessional. The manager is always busy and never wants to hear your problems. I do not know what changed but lately everything has been falling apart at this place. The only reason I renewed my lease a third year is because how great the maintenence staff is. I feel like they are the only people who care. Jose I believe is a maintenence manager and always goes out of his way to help you. I think that's why most people are staying to be honest. Other then that, great renovation !

I recently moved into The Vinoy at Innovation Park and it is amazing. The office staff, especially Danielle & Brittany, have been extremely helpful and informative. The apartment is clean and well laid out and the maintenance staff is very responsive and efficient. I am very pleased and look forward to getting involved in the numerous community activities offered to residents.

Not at all secure and safe, many armed robberies reported in last 6 months, management is not suuportive. No effective action taken by management for secuirty and safe surrounding. Many requests have been made for installing security cameras or gated community or patroling 24 hrs or security guards but nothing seems to be taken care.

most use less apartment i saw in my life. when u vacant they will charge you by showing some north carolina law, they charged me 800 dollars for bug treatment, apartment bug company guy came and certified that my apartment has bugs by showing some black spot on seeling, you dont even see that spot until you have ladder and tourch, iam sure my apartment dosen't have bugs, i asked apartment guys that i will call another company to inspect apartment one more time, apartment staff didn't agree for it, this shows they want's to charge money. they charged me water bill 182 dollars for 13 days, i asked them they said we don't now why i got 182, one answer they gave me that is i have to pay otherwise they will report to collections there should be board for this apartment like BE AWARE OF VENOY APARTMENTS. THIS IS F***********************King APARTMENTS I SAW IN MY LIFE.

Just too many break ins. Residents are very scared. For the price we pay, it is currently not worth it. Rents have increased recently, but appropriate measures haven't been taken up. They are renovating the leasing office. I am not sure how this is more important than making it a gated community? Even the cops who have come for a meeting agreed that Gates would be a deterrent for the crimes that are happening. It is just too easy for someone to come in and commit a crime. Even the kids from nearby school are robbing people at gun point here. Is the management is waiting for someone to die before they do anything?

Have lived here for a year. It's a nice community with lovely floor plans, but it's not a very safe community anymore with way too many thefts. The number of armed robberies and break ins have increased when compared to past year. This community isn't safe until management decides to take this seriously and take immediate measures for community's safety... For the safety they provide rent is way too high!

I am staying in the vinoy from 1year.the vinoy is good,but as incidents seen in vinoy says it's not a safe place.yesterday we heard some one trying to break the window at night.By seeing these things we are so nervous.the vinoy management must make a gated community for more security Purpose .

I will never recommend this property to anyone. I personally encountered two major issues: 1. Security Issue - Last winter there were car thefts, break in attempt and nuisance from the school. 2. Maintenance Issues - My apartment's AC was not working and the my room temperature was 93*F but the Vinoy management didn't attend my request. they said it is not an emergency request as the outside temperature is not more than 85*F. During this incident the outside temperature was 64*F while my apartment temperature was 93*F. How such temperature variation is possible unless there is a problem with AC unit. This was completely ridiculous.

Multiple Armed robberies happened recently. Also this community is becoming easy target and non-residents are entering the community easily as it is not gated. I don't recommend this community till it is Gated.

I do not recommend this property... Vinoy is a good, nice and safe community till 2015..Things became very bad in last 6months. Lot of armed robberies and crimes are happening and management is not responding properly. i am planing to move other gated community once my lease gets over. My only suggestion to those who want live better prefer gated community...

I am living in this apartment for almost 8 years. I felt safe for almost most of the years and I don't know why in past 6 months lot of theft and gun shots. What is going on suddenly I don't know. If this is fixed then this is a great place. Management please fix it.

My husband and I have lived here at The Vinoy since May 2015 and have enjoyed it very much. The leasing office staff is always helpful, friendly and polite. The maintenance staff does a great job at staying on top of any issues that come up in a timely manner and they are quite knowledgeable. I know that many of the residents are upset lately because of recent crime in the community but I point out that these are recent incidents and I would not be surprised when they find out who is doing these robberies to find out it is the same group of individuals who keep coming back. Once the police catch these criminals, I believe we will go back to the low crime rate we enjoyed before. The other thing that residents are complaining about is that the leasing staff does not care and is not doing anything. THAT IS NOT FAIR!!! We have no way of knowing what is going on behind closed doors in the office. Again, I point out that these are RECENT incidents and -------------- cannot make anything happen overnight. -------------- have managers who have owners all of whom must be gone through to get anything done. If Sara gets permission to do something then she has to get estimates from various vendors and this all takes time. All of upper management has to explore all options and we have no idea what is being done. To accuse ------------ of not being concerned for us is WRONG! I believe they are extremely concerned for us and our safety. Why not give them the opportunity and the time to get a solution in place. If you are a prospective resident and you want to know what The Vinoy is really like go back and read the reviews from November 2015 and before. Living here has not changed except for the few incidents that we have had and I am very sure the leasing staff and management are doing all they can to resolve these problems. Let's calm down and give them a chance.

The Security around this area is a big concern. In Vinoy there were 4 security incidents .. armed robberies happened from Dec 2015 . Most people think that this is a much secured community but this year this has been proved wrong and would get more next year

The apartments were fine, till Vinoy decided to renovate in some strange cost-effective ways. They are having wooden floors on all floors now(instead of carpets).Some people like it but mostly, from experience, it makes people living downstairs 'hear' more noises and thus disturbance. Additionally and critically the security has been a huge concern, and staff doesn't seem to be taking any steps even after repeated requests by residents. The rates are higher than surrounding apartments, and I don't see any solid justification for that.

I am writing this review to help all those who are looking an apt in Vinoy. I have been here for last 3 years. Vinoy has been reputed with good, nice and safe community and probably that is the reason of higher rents compare to neighborhood societies. However things became very bad in last one year. Lot of armed robberies and crimes are happening and management has been behaving like a mute spectator. They did not take any action despite resident's regular request to make Vinoy a gated community or install cctvs. Management is turning rude and offending. you may understand why so many people constantly writing horrible reviews, because of frustration caused by mgmt's inaction, inhelp and rude attitude. My only msg to all bro who want peace of mind and safe place is, to stay away from this community.This is not worth anymore. I am waiting my lease duration to be over so that i can get rid of the place. One more thing, if you have kids then definitely stay away. you can find nearby CMS schools's teens to be smoking or doing offending acts in across Vinoy's boundary , taking advantage of nearby trees and sometime try to scare the residents by throwing stones at homes unnecessary. One interesting thing, if you get your door knocked for pizza delivery when you did not order one then don't open the gate at all. The so said pizza guy may have gun and would be looting your hard earned money.

I am living in Vinoy for past 5 years, the apartments are very spacious and well maintained, the staff are very friendly. But in the past 1 year too many incidents burglary, mugging and latest armed robbery raises the concern of security. Waiting for the management to take action on the security issue.

We have lived in this apartment for over a year. The apartment was close to my office which was very convenient. I would say that was the only plus for these apartments. We had 2 water outages in a year which took long time to fix. I wouldn't say staff is excellent or good, they were just OK. If you are trying to stay only for the period of lease you are going to stay then you are good. But if you are planning to extend your lease then you are doomed. After a year lease, we have asked for the renewal rates and they are way over priced. When I've asked for a month on month lease then the price was $2850. Can't imagine I had to pay almost 3 times the actual rent. We decided its not worth to stay in these apartments and didn't extend further. One of the worst management so far I've seen.

I have lived at The Vinoy for over a year now and I can't complain. I've lived in many apartments but have never had this type of customer service. The office staff is always welcoming and friendly and the maintenance guys are super nice and usually quick to solve any problems. I like the events they have, the landscaping is nice, and it's overall a good place to live. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to move.
