I live at the Vinoy at innovation park in the university area. Love it here definitely recommend this apartment complex. Every time I go to the office I am greeted and welcome with a smile the staff is helpful and friendly the amenities are clean and functional. The resident event are awesome and a great way to meet my neighbors love this place hope to live here for many years to come.

Best Property in University Area!

Let me start off by saying that if you are looking for an apartment, do not just go off of the reviews. Any bad reviews that you come across while apartment searching are just from disgruntled residents who just are not happy with policy changes or the rent increases which are literally happening everywhere just like everything else which is out of any citizens control. don’t take it out on the property. When it comes to the property, it is well kept and worth the price. The office staff go above and beyond when it comes to the planning of the residents events and handling complaints. They really do care about the residents however, some things are out of their control. The maintenance staff works very hard and it shows! They act quickly, professionally and very friendly when in passing or when they are completing the work orders. While some of the staff have changed recently, the customer service has not missed a beat. I am definetly going to renew my lease for another year. The vinoy is a wonderful place to live and i really enjoy my time living here. I can’t wait to come to the outdoor movie night resident event next month! Thank you to the entire vinoy staff for all they do!

Don’t recommend

We were residents for 4years in various apartments of this community and we vacated the last apartment on 24th April 2022. We waited to hear from the leasing office regarding the final account statement and returning our security deposit. Since we did not hear anything from them we reached out on 10th May and we were told that they forgot to work on it and will get back to us soon. We got an e-mail with our final account statement on 11th May stating refund is due to us and we will receive a refund check to the forwarding address in 30-45 business days. Since we did not receive the check or here from leasing office about this we again E-mailed to Kelsey Ahmed (assistant manager) and Miranda (manager) in June 2022 wondering what is taking so long. She replied to the E-mail stating our refund check is pending RPM approval and she would be able to let us know when we will receive it once it gets approved. Since then we have been trying to follow up with them almost every month through calls or E-mails and every time we get the same answer that they are sorry about the delay and we would receive the refund in 30-45 business days. Many times they even left our E-mails unanswered. Finally, on 4th August we were told that a check has been dispatched one week ago and we will receive it in 30-45days. But we did not receive anything yet so contacted the leasing office on 14th September and she told us that she has requested a new check again. I wonder what is happening and why is it so difficult to issue a simple refund check that its past 4 MONTHS and still we are waiting and following up. This is highly unprofessional and very frustrating. The leasing office people just do the sweet talk but dont really help you out in the issues. They keep changing their words according to thier convinience. They never leave any stone unturned to charge us in case of any damage even if it is not our mistake. The apartment community is atleast 15years old so the countertops and appliances are prone to damage even after being really careful. The underground waterpipes keep breaking down and they take whole day or two to fix it and the water supply is shut off for all that time. A couple of times water was shut off for two days and all the residents had to carry water with tubs and buckets from car wash area. Birds keep nesting in the dryer vents blocking them and our clothes never dried and smelled like birds. We always raised maintenance requests for it and the guy would dig up the whole bird nests from the dryer vent. The maintenance guy told a mesh could be put up to keep the birds from nesting which they never did. If they find any prohibited things in the patio they make sure to fine us. When they do not accept any late payments from the residents or waive off any charges imposed on the residents, how is it acceptable to hold the security deposit UNLAWFULLY for more than 4 MONTHS? We have filed a complaint against the management team in BBB website and if it does not resolve our issue we will not hesitate to do whatever is needed to resolve it.

Community rules are targeted towards profit maximizing. Sublease is not permitted anymore and rent have been hiked by 30% this year. Printer at office is mostly not working. This isn’t a good community to stay anymore.

Over good experience. Rent increases are through the roof. Lots of tenants are moving out due to $400 and $500 rent increases. Upkeep of the property is great. The pool and gym is good ok too. Overall just ok for 1800 per month

It’s a good community but with current management It’s hard to recommend friends to this community. Policies, rents keep changing, up-keeping and usability of the amenities is still questionable. Simple things like restocking a hand washing liquid in bathrooms etc someone has to tell the management. There were complaints that the maintenance staff would steal kids stuff like bicycles, toys.. etc.

Rent is extremely high, Leasing Rule, Apartment is very old. The number of work orders needs to be raised for a single item. Big parcels should not be accepted in the office, and it should be delivered to the home only.

As a place to live, it is good. Compared to what the property used to be, it has become poor. When I first moved it, there were monthly events that were always communicated to the resident. Now? There have 2 events that aren't shared with us until a couple hours before. This property is nowhere near the property it was when I first moved in.

general maintenance requires attention after one week is pathetic, we have to wait for a week to address the issue. I felt security is one of the concern as anyone can trespass and no security camera's. Poor Maintenance of premises. No cleaning at all.

I love this community. It is safe, clean, and quiet. Had a rough start at the beginning with my apartment but the leasing office and maintenance handled the issues very quickly and professionally. The maintenance staff is great. They're all very polite and professional. I always see them moving around the community. Residents are pretty much to themselves but people in my building are awesome and look out for each other. Overall, I would recommend living here.

Slightly less rent in exchange for terrible living conditions. Office does nothing for residents (don’t alert when they want into your apartment, will not accept packages) and anything the community has, such as pool, gym, or package drop-off, is either broken or closed most days. So much trash and dog waste because rules are never enforced. People use balconies to dry clothes and they store things in the common walkways. People clog the roads at night, making it difficult and dangerous to drive. Find somewhere else to live, even if that means paying a little more.

The community itself is fine. Neighbors are not mindful of the noise they make, how loud they can and quiet hours. Management is overall helpful however I’ve had instances where I was not responsible but management faulted me. Didn’t like that.

I chose The Vinoy at Innovation Park because it is located close to my workplace. I found the apartment to be a little pricey, but I gave it a try. After eight weeks of living here, the fitness center and business center were closed for three weeks. No effort was made to accommodate anyone who used those facilities on a regular basis. One of the staff members suggested a nearby fitness center for a low membership fee. That is not even the reason why I would not recommend this community to anyone. I have a dog who has been charged at by two Staffordshire Terriers (Pitt Bulls) several times. There is really nothing that can be done about this, according to management, except to tell the owner of these dangerous animals, “not to let it happen again”. Needless to say I am moving, only after I have paid the required fee of $1,374 for breaking my lease. Glad to be leaving this unsafe environment. If looking for a safe and comfortable environment, please look elsewhere!
