Excellent experience so far! The leasing agent was extremely helpful and even responded to my questions when off the clock. Very satisfied. I absolutely love our apartment and the location. We are conveniently located close to Independence Blvd without having to deal with the daily traffic.

Friendly, freshly renovated. Good location, proximity to major shopping, banking hospitals. Big disadvantage is though a closed swimming pool. Kids playground is OK, mail and parcels are delivered alright. Can recommend the complex for a good start.

The neighbors are very noisey and they go run tell the office every little thing. Its likewe are treated like kids because the office listens to everything that they say instead of asking directly. Overall, if the neigbors would mind there business...i could actually have a great experience here.

We luv living here the rent vets a little high we actually need new carpet it wasn't new when we moved in we love living here and we don't want to move from I think they need to focus on what the tenants really need of we repainted our apartment ourselves we really do luv it here

Great place to live but a bit over priced at over 1300$ for a 3 bedroom. However, the staff is great, it's clean and well maintained. Over the last three years a lot of money has been spent upgrading the property..I.e. New exteriors, paint, roofs etc.

I have had a great experience at Colonial Village in Matthews. It's quiet and peaceful. If there is a problem, the staff is quick to fix them the problem. The property is well taken care of. Good place to love

I think this apartment is ok... I pay a lot of money to live here and it's my first apartment I've had. I feel like what I pay isn't worth what I have to live in, for the past year and a half I've had to deal with a horrible big problem. I come home and I see at least one almost every day and they are huge bugs I think they are called palmetto bugs. I call the office to have the come spray but it seems to not be working and everytime I tell them my problem they always seem to not care to much or get an attitude that I keep calling about it. I just am pretty annoyed and really don't want to even come home most nights knowing there will be tons of bugs.

We live in a 2 bed 1 bath and it's surprisingly very roomy. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The kitchen is a bit small for my liking. Although the apartment is roomy, there are a lot of things that are 'missing' that a usual home/apartment would have. There is no kitchen pantry, no bathroom closet for towels, and no lights in the bedrooms! I wish I had noticed that when we were shopping around for apartments, because that is the one thing that really irritates me about it. Yes we have lamps and such, but you'd think they'd have the bare necessities as in LIGHTS. But, other than those things, very livable! Open floor plan, good for small families, fairly descent neighborhood. Right next to a lot of grocery stores, schools - can't complain about the area at all! Overall...due to the "missing" elements of the apartment I'd give it about a 3.5/5. Not the fanciest, but the best bang for your buck around here!

The grounds are beautifully kept, the office staff is kind and courteous. The inside of my apartment is old, I've been here 7 plus years. The walls need repainting, the counters are old and are starting to wear and chip. Not a lot of room because this apt was made for a handicapped person. The washer and dryer are stacked and very small. I have to use the onsite laundry room to wash larger items, which costs me about 8 dollars a month or so. Bugs are my biggest complaint. Meaning inside. Spiders, crawlers mostly. Roaches are rampant at the pool.

Rent is affordable for the area and quality of these apartments. Washer and dryer is included, which is a bonus. Very pet friendly and the staff are extremely helpful. Location is literally close to so many places (downtown Matthews, Sardis, I-485, etc). We can walk around at any time of the day or night and feel safe.

I truly like this complex, however I have lived in better. The light outside my apartment building doesn't always work. Also, the trash situation needs to get fixed ASAP!!! First, they took away our resource to recycle - which doesn't look good to the residents. Second, the trash is always overflowing out of the bin. It's piles up outside and looks disgusting, you can see it from the road! It makes my home look like a dirty place. You need to address and adjust this immeadiatly!!!

I have enjoyed living in this community so far. The office staff have been more than helpful and my apartment was in great condition when I moved in. One thing I noticed is that my front door is a little drafty and I can see light coming in even with the door closed.

It is ok so far. The outside appearance has been updated, but the state of the 3 bedroom living spaces were not updated (walls, inner cabinets, etc). The pool area and workout areas are updated and nice and it is a family friendly environment.
