I have a very good feeling in this community.It nearby my son's school and have a very kind of service.The apartment 's appearance and condition of community grounds,landscaping,and common areas are beautiful.The traffic is very convenient.

It has been a positive experience. We just wish that the rent was lower. Better security around the playground and parking lots would be nice as well. Also, the option to replace carpet with hard wood flooring.

I have been living here for 2 months. Numerous things have broken. Washer. Hot water heater. Thermostat. 2 kitchen cabinet. Floor moulding separating wood floors and carpet. Dish washer / trash compactor. Ants in the house. I fixed the cabinets myself. I went to the store and purchased insecticides to exterminate the apartment myself because it took over a week for someone to come. They finally came today (the day after I took almost everything out of my room to exterminate it myself). When the dish washer overflowed with water all of the kitchen they said it wasn't an emergency, they said they would come the next day. I got home the next day around 10-11pm and still nothing was done until I called again. After the hot water heater stopped working, they came to fix it. After that the water would adjust temperatures on its own. First, extremely hot, then extremely cold, then hot again without me ever adjusting the temperature. I fixed the cabinets myself because it took 3-4 days for someone to come and put a screw in. I was embarrassed to have people come to a new apartment completely furnished with brand new furniture and broken cabinets. I would have fixed the floor moulding if I new how. I am completely dissatisfied with the customer service & lack of follow up to see if us, the tenants are satisfied, other than a survey/email. I tried to go to the office today on my lunch break but they were on their lunch break as well. I usually work 6-7 days a week so I haven't had the time to go to the office during the open hours except for once last week. One of the girls is very polite and does her best to help me every time. She is the one who originally showed me the apartment. I hope this is the last time something breaks or we have an incident since we have 11-12 months left.

I LOVE it here! The staff are all so friendly! The landscape and grounds are nice and clean. Although the picnic area could use some cleaning up. The tables need to be placed so both of them can be used. The hole that the tables are sitting in just fills with water when it rains making a mess.

Community has a lot of upgrading and maintenance issues to be resolved. Nice apartments but "shoddy" upgrades and maintenance repairs done. Also, not enough communication regarding when repairs and upgrades will be completed. reccmendation would also be for office to send email/note to all residents about loitering outside of apartments i.e., smoking, sitting on cars etc...this is what patios are for. Would improve appearance of neighborhood.

The Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. They assist on a customer per customer basis.Our unit was recently remodeled. The contractor and Maintenance did a wonderful job. Our rep and assistant building manager, Nicole Getz did a wonderful job.

I like this community.... A staff is very polite and kind.... There are so many trees and other different plants. It makes the community very plesant to live there. It's good location with shopping centers and more... Defenetly I will recomend it to my friends.

The first half year of 2015 it was good when I was moved in. Around last July they changed their management team. Then, everything went downhill. Recycle trash Bin is not available anymore. what a mess in their pool area, drinking, smoking...I event saw a guy walking his big dog without leash along the pool. The beer leftover was often poured on the ground. People often talk very loudly on their patio after midnight. Some tenants are very rude. If you are a non-smoker and meet a heavy smoker neighbor, it is too bad for you. The property manager will tell you to close your window, put your A/C on. And you will be responsible for your high electricity bill. She won't provide any help to protect your basic human right--get fresh air in your apartment as you want. The property management team probably don't think secondhand smoke is harmful for people's health. Unleashed dogs, the dirty stairs, ants, roaches around hallway...

I was looking for something in the lower price range so I didnt expect amazing. Never had any complaints about noise or people or anything. I wanted an apt that had not been updated and its exactly what I got. Office staff is very friendly and always there to help.

Nice and very quiet place in the heart of Matthews. Friendly office staff, great maintenance folks, clean environment. Walmart, Target, Harris Teeter, Costco and etc within 2-3miles distance. Great elementary and middle schools within walking distance. Really nice overall

Great community and people that work here are very nice BUT basic cable and W/D was included for free with base rent now its $50 over that you cant take out I pay $950 for a suppose to be $830 2BD apartment I can get a town house for that kind of money

Great so far. We like the fact this community is within two minutes of historical downtown Matthews, within 4 minutes of I-485, and only 15 minutes of uptown Charlotte. This property is close to pretty much everything. This community has many great features, such as, a fitness center, clubhouse, tennis court, and community playgound.

While undergoing renovations is at times inconvenient, the contractors do a good job of containing the mess and cleaning up the property. The staff/maintenance are extremely prompt and remedy the situation immediately. My major compliant is my neighbors above me have kids that jump incessantly and scream and run and it makes relaxing difficult most days. I'm not sure what noise barriers could prevent this but if there is anything to buffer the noise that will help future residents in this situation.

I find this community not as clean as it should be. Sometimes we have small gorups of older boys hanging around at night etc. Walls are paper thin, I can here the people next to me in the bathroom. It is just not what I expected of a property like this.

The Staff is amazing! These are great apartments in a great area. My Family and I feel safe and very comfortable here at colonial village Matthews. The Maintenance and office staff are always friendly and quick to respond to such issues. I have loved my time here and will always recommend it to others!!

The whole staff is very friendly and always looks out for the residence. They are always there to help and they do everything in a polite friendly way . We are very happy to be living here. Miguel is an excellent property mgr. He is very understanding and relates well with residences and the maintenance staff is always on time and very helpful with explaining everything they did. The other residences are very friendly also.
