Rent increases a lot once you've been here for a year. Office staff is kind. Parking and trash is are an issue. Good amenities on property and great location for things in to do and places to go in the community.

Bug problems every day during the summer. You will find multiple cockroaches in your apartment throughout the year. Trash compacter is always overflowing during the weekend. Constant problems with AC breaking. Cheap maintenance fixes.

Safe place but rent is to high and the apartments need to be updated. Staff is not that friendly and are not fair. The parking is very tight. It's over all a nice place to live but just like every other place it has your issues

Since I moved here in 2015 it's changed and improved. My biggest complaint is that I've had serious issues and the complex is very nonchalant. For example: in the past 2 weeks My ceiling and bathroom mirror fan fell, it could've seriously hurt someone and they told me "you may want to vacuum" or "just sweep it up." As a long term tenant it makes me want to leave.

Everything is ok. Community is very nice. My family are spend good time here. Many stores are very near this community. Community is very quiet. People in the office Are always there for help. My Children Are happy Because live here.

It is a quiet, tidy community. The staff is kind, accessible, and communicative. The neighborhood is accessible to shopping, dining, the downtown Matthews area, and major roads. The area schools are exceptional.

Overall apartment was nice. There were spiders in every corner from being empty for so long, but the neighborhood is quiet and it is close to restaurants and shops. The staff is great and I feel safe living here even on the first floor.

So far my stay at Colonial Village at Matthews has been wonderful! The staff is friendly and it is a nice environment. I love having easy access to the gym and pool. Additionally, the people in this community are friendly.

It's a little expensive here. I may end up moving the parking situation is manageable. But the weather people park here is disrespectful. I had an issue with another tenant and she called the grounds supervisor who happened to be her dad. It's hard to feel that I got a equal amount of respect from this person

So far it has been a very positive and friendly experience. The community is in a great location, within walking distance to many great amenities. Again, very pleased with the location and the community.

Very convenient. Near every store you can think of. Close to everything. Nice place to walk. If anything goes wrong they normally fix it the same day. The office staff are very helpful when something has to be done.

The said the community will host events on a monthly basis but they never did. No events for July 4th or holidays. Maintaince team has been on and off. Some are good and some weren't. It was an ok experience not the best.

First time living in an apt complex & we love the size of our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apt.The balcony is nice w/ a large patio storage area. The grounds near us are cleaner, since a few neighbors moved out.

I was charged twice for a new account set up fee, once with a move in fee and another in July, I feel as if I was over charged. When I moved in to the apartment it had some flaws that needed to be fixed that I put on the move in condition paper that wasn't fixed

You can hear your neighbors. Office staff does nothing for noise complaints. Monthly pest control fee is a joke...spider webs form in every room of the apartment. Patio and building sidings are covered with spider webs and insects. Can't enjoy your patio/balcony because upstairs neighbors let trash, cigarette ashes, alcohol etc. fall on your personal belongings. Don't sign up for the low rate move in deposit, they will let you in for a low deposit, but after move out will charge you heavy fees on top of a $200 cleaning fee. Security is non existent. Cars are broken into and an attempted robbery occurred in broad daylight. Not sure how background checks work here, as all of my neighbors had marijuana odor coming from their apartments and balconies. Nice that they have pet stations to clean up after your dog, but watch your step cause most tenants don't pick up after their pets. Dogs are supposed to be leashed at all times, but most tenants don't abide by this, including an office staff who lets her dog roam free and doesn't clean up after it. Pool is great when tenants actually abide by the pool rules. Some tenants have more than the specified 2 guest in the pool area, and some even throw family functions there with over 20 people present. Overall, was an okay place if you are in a hurry to get an apartment, but wouldn't recommend.

A very pleasant community in which to reside. The grounds are always well maintained and the staff courteous and professional. Paul (maintenance) is invariably well prepared and seems to be able to handle any task.

It's great, staff is nice & very helpful. Grounds are always well maintained. Neighbors are very friendly, I love that everyone picks up after there dogs. Always easy to find a parking space. Maintenance team is always quick to take care any issues.

These apartments are located close to many shops. This is a big plus. There are very good schools here. For families with children this is a very good apartment. There is a swimming pool, a tennis court, a children's playground. That's why I chose this apartment.

Move-in experience was smooth. The office team was very accommodating and responsive. I want pet owners to be reminded of their obligation to keep grounds free of feces. I have seen dog poop outside of my apartment for a week now. I pay alot of money. The rent is not cheap. I should not have to deal with that.
