      The property is observed that its owners, the group of workers and the residents keep it in very good clean conditions, it is currently in the process of being renovated on the outside, it is located in a very comfortable area with access to pharmacies, hospitals, excellent pediatric clinic at atrium health, shopping malls, Home Depot, Lowe's, very quiet, no noise. In the office, Romina is very attentive and concerned about giving you an excellent welcome.

        Romina was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful when I came in for my tour. The model apartment was beautiful and I was told all apartments are renovated. Based on her information and the tour I decided to rent with MAA 51. I look forward to moving in.

          The community is very nice to look at from the outside. Once you get within it's a different story. This community charges top dollar for very small apartments that have some useless features like a fire place that doesn't have any use it's just for looks. The bathroom sink was made for a toddler and did not come up past my thighs. The stairs and balcony's around the building are very loose and creaky. The worst part about the entire experience was the unprofessional manner of the staff. The leasing agent I spoke to was more preoccupied with a gift she had brought during our meeting which she broke away from for about 5 minutes to show everyone in the office while I sat there just waiting. Then she comes back only to deny my application but then tells me as long as someone that makes $7,200 a month income can co-sign for me? what a scam, but a valuable lesson learned about the renting experience.

            The location is excellent, with downtown Matthews only a few minutes walk away and many stores within driving distance. The community seems to be well maintained and the layout features many apartments which face the woods which is a huge plus for me. The staff I met when touring this community were courteous and knowledgeable.

              When we first moved on, it was truly a wonderful community with caring staff. The staff has changed several times and the service is not the quality that we were use to. It's taking longer than usual for maintenance request to be completed and some times the office staff is unpleasant

                Great maintenance team! Office staff is unwilling to help with issues. They are unfriendly and at times rude. The community was better before this new staff was put in place. Hopefully an older and more knowledgeable staff will be put in place.

                  Quiet, safe area. People living here are nice and respectful. When I've had maintenance issues, they have been fixed promptly and accurately the first time. Although one could say the apartments themselves are older than others in the Matthews area, they are in decent shape and the monthly price for rent cannot be beat.

                      It is okay! There are some things that need to be upgraded. Just need to get rid of the mold in the Masterbed room bathroom. The popcorn ceiling is falling down in the guest bathroom, Been here so long with all the leaks from the apartment upstairs, I need a new carpet or someone to come clean it, better than me.

                        First year at MMA was fine, then it's just gone down hill. Office staff turns over all the time it seems like. They never respond to emails, calls, and no one is ever in the office. If your heat goes out, in the dead of winter, don't expect to have it fixed. Expect to use your electric heat making your electric bill super high and for them to ignore every email and phone call about compensation until you threaten legal action. Floors in the apartment are not level. There are no fans in the bathrooms so you can clearly see when you take a hot shower the water damage on the ceiling. Was also told when I toured the model home that my unit would be exactly like the model (minus an extra bathroom), it was completely different.

                            Rent is high, apartments are decent, could be more updated,I.E. Cabinets knobs and handles are not the proper handle,or knobs. No storage space for the size of the apartment. Would be great for a single person or someone with a small family of 3 and without alot of things. The area is really nice and quiet, close to shopping stores and the hospital and PD. But guess its up to the person who's looking. For the money you'd pay to rent here you could rent a home or possibly buy. 3bdrm almost 2k with no storage space.

                              Everything is amazing except my upstairs neighbors, they are super loud, always dragging stuffs and they walk like if their feet's are made out of steel. At different times. The chandelier in my living room swings all the time and I feel like it's gonna fall anytime soon

                                I am very happy with my experience here!! There are only two things that I have an issue with: 1. My first 6 months here, I had at least 3-4 cockroaches in my apartment EVERY week! 2. I've been told from fellow MAA51 residents that rent is being raised significantly when renewing their lease. If this is true for my lease as well, I will not be renewing in April when my lease ends.

                                      Is beautiful and nice. I am loving my apartment. I just fouund some issues in my bathroom ceiling. Apparently a fixture in the shower fell off and when they shower on the second floor my ceiling starts to leak, but I hope the admin will fix it soon. The team is great!

                                        Nightmare within 10mins of moving in....

                                        My nightmare started less than 10mins after walking into my "new" apartment. Well before I moved in I was given the impression that my 3 bedroom would have a garden tub. They pushed to avoid me seeing my actual apartment because "it was being worked on". Then I got someone who wasn't aware of the situation to say I could come in to see it. No garden tub, and already checked my credit. I bushed it off and moved forward even after they lied claiming "they told me it wouldn't". If you have a key feature you like about a place that is a major reason you're moving in, you'll remember someone telling you it won't be there. After walking the apartment, I was told all the fixes would be done, and a thorough cleaning. Clean carpets was nice, but a pet hair infested washing machine, walls looked like a child mudded/painted ALL of them and also painted over hairs/trash/dust, drawers and cabinets look like someone poured paint in them and just flopped the brush around a few times and moved to the next, my dish washer was filthy and has rust in it which can cause health issues, dirty sink and dried up spin on one of them, bathrooms were not cleaned and a thick white powder on the wall and on top of it have developed athletes foot from it, cracked toilet bowl, paint spots on the laminate floors all over, a scrap piece of metal for unit letter, an AC unit outside that makes a loud noise like its dying every 15 seconds for long periods of time, and more! Today makes week one and I still haven't been able to wash my clothes or dishes. They claimed "they were busy" and waiting for corporate to make a decision. They offered to have someone come fix the paint and mud, but I run a business from home and can't have someone coming in and out while I am speaking to clients about sensitive information. They offered to have another cleaning crew come, but I already spent HOURS cleaning/sanitizing the place so how does that help? My anxiety and mental health has a struggle through this, on top of the athletes foot I have developed from this place. Today I will be calling my lawyer to start this next headache. Proceed with caution when considering MAA. Pictures are being attached. Keep in mind, this is how they have me the apartment to live in.

                                        I don't recommend living here, the management team lies a lot (it starts with Romina herself, who evaluates her own work here and even asks friends to do the same lol). they don't respect the residents, they don't solve any problems. the other day they broke into my apartment without my permission to fix a bad job in the apartment upstairs leaving everything dirty in my bathroom. (see the photos), they take 15 days to clean and even then it was ----, I had to pay for a deep clean in my bathroom. they come in with dirty shoes and so little care for your privacy. the apartments have no acoustics. my upstairs neighbor runs, jumps, makes a lot of noise at night and I can't sleep. I can't wait for my contract to end so I can move out of this garbage.

                                            The host was very knowledgeable. If the apartment was larger for the money I would have move. 1300 for 600sq is a no go. Property is very nice and well kept I might add. If the price comes down then I'd consider.
