We have only been here for 9 days but I already love it here. Maintenance staff and office staff are very professional and quick. I feel so much safer here than where we used to live. Very nice neighbors and conveniently located to everything.

The staff was very courteous and helpful. Courtney was especially helpful to the point of sprucing up the apartment before my move in. The grounds are very well kept and I love the mature trees. The maintenance repaired my door lock quickly and properly. I believe my daughter and I will love living here.

a welcoming, peaceful and quiet place to live i would recommend it to friends... however i feel a required number of characters for this space is not necessary and as a matter of fact many people would find it a challenge especially in this day of texting communication

The grounds are safe. My neighbors are nice. The office is rude. You are told your rent is $935 and you get a bill close to 1,035. The fees they add is ridiculous. If your thinking of moving into a complex to save money your wrong to do so. I would never recommend this place to anyone, ------ in the office isnt very nice and like I said the rent is too high and the fees bleed you dry. Maintenance is fantastic, so nice. I feel bad they work for shmucks. If your going to go to a complex go to the one up the street the units are beautiful and you get what you pay for. Being in a so called redesign unit isnt what you think it is. The "granite" is peel and stick, the paint job a pre kindergartener could have done a better job. The rent is too high for what you get. Beware of hidden fees, stay clear of this place im counting down the days to get out of here.

I like the apartment overall & am happy the exterior is being painted. The only thing I would change is that I wish people would pick up their dog poop & I wish the outside sidewalks were pressure washed along with the stairs and entrances to each apartment upstairs.

Colonial Village at Matthews is an ok place to live but they over charge for their small, older apartments. We had a few problems with people hanging out late at night in the common areas of the apartments.. But the apartment complex is close to many stores, restaurants and the hospital.

We moved here from out of state in 2013. The office staff was extrememly helpful and accomodating finalizing our move. This location is close to shops and schools. The interstate is easily accessible. This community fit our needs perfectly.

My experience has been very favorable moving to the complex. Office staff is friendly, plrofessional, and willing to help with ever needing to be done. Maintenance is also polite, courteous. The grounds are well kept and it is very well lit. It is dog friendly.

Friendly and helpful administration. Very nice neighborhood. Close to Shopping malls, main roads, good commute. Matthews is small but cute, lots of medical facilities. Minor bug issues but not impacting the life quality. Recommended.

The office staff is amazing and helpful. The maintenance crew seems like they try but are either restricted in there abilities or limited in what they are permitted to do. The noise from apartment to apartment may vary but I can hear my neighbors movements and running water. The community seems nice but the apartments in the back of the complex not seen by visiting public are somewhat ignored. The atmosphere is friendly and safe and some neighbors are friendly some are not so open.

I was disappointed in the lack of a microwave- who doesn't provide a microwave anymore? Other than that most things were ok. The apartment wasn't like I thought it was going to be- it was not as updated as I thought and very different from the one I was shown during my tour

Very nice appearance. Close to major streets. Plenty of shopping areas. Tons of eating places in the area. The community is well design. The apartments it self has a very nice floor plan. And, a great office staff.

There have been a lot of changes in staffing and transitions that have gone with it as a result. There seemed to lack cohesiveness as a result at first however it has come together. The first taco night I think helped bond staff and community. I think more of these will be very useful. It is sad that what use to be common sense for all it not so anymore and people at this community are very disrespectful of others in what seems to be common sense especially in the pool area. We have 4 children and our children don't even enjoy going to the pool here because of what occurs. It isn't the complexes fault it is people. I think events and building of community will help though. Can't make common sense...

I just move and I love my new apartment so far.... This is a great community to live. It's very convenient for shopping and the staff here is awesome the manager is always available and willing to help. I truly recommend living at Colonial Village at Matthews, come check it out.

The apartment is nice, however there was dried paint everywhere from counter tops to floors. The outside of the building mine especially is filthy the stairwells are dirty and there is an obnoxious light that shines in my bedroom all night.

The community is fine. The staff is nice. It takes a while for maitanence to address issues of concerns. My car was about to be towed for expired tags after I got my care inspected and it did not pass and I was provided an extension per DMV. I came outside to go to work and I find an orange sticker on my car like I was at some junk yard. I could not get the sticker off and had to go to work embarrassed. when I got to work detectives were able to assist me with getting the crap off. Then when I called about the incident although I explained about my extension from DMV I was told I had 5 days. This was the worst experience ever. I have never had this happen before . Thanks alot.

We enjoyed our time here. We wish the staff all the best. We bought our dream home. Our only complaint is the apartment doesn't cool in the summer. The front 2 rooms remain extremely hot in the summer months. All the residents were very nice. Thanks

It all started with a simple little sign that reads "WELCOME HOME". This is how I have felt the entire time I've been here. Everyone is so kind here and the few times I've needed something, it has been taken care of quickly, efficiently and pleasantly. I believe I couldn't have been luckier to have found this place.

Old Unit. Most problems were with the Heating & cooling unit. After many calls the unit was replaced. But the fact remains that there is poor insulation in the building. Cooling unit runs almost all day long before turning off at night. Overall the unit is clean and pleasant to live in.

This community has quick responses if repair is needed. The office staff is always terrific as I have a lot of mail/packages and they are always accommodating for me. I appreciate their friendly nature and willingness to help with anything I need.

This complex was a disaster from the minute I took my keys. The apartment was not ready to be rented, and they should've been ashamed of themselves. The manager walked the apartment with me, and got defensive and made excuse after excuse. It took them a month to make the repairs that should have been completed before move-in, we had two appliances replaced that we're not working properly at move-in. We had an HVAC problem all year that wasn't properly addressed.
