I lived at this complex for over 5 years. It used to be called Carolina Cove, however the property was recently purchased by Balfour Beatty and they renamed it Aspire 349. I never had any problems with the former management, even when I was seriously injured and was in the hospital for months they let me out of a 12 month long lease no questions asked. When I went to move out under the new management, everything went okay at first. I received a "Final Account Balance" of around $36.00 which I was more then happy to pay. Then just a few days later I received another email informing me that I owe over $400.00 to replace the carpet in my room, and if I didn't pay, I would be turned over to collections. I sent many emails and phone calls but never was able to get in contact with any form of management. The carpet in my room was at least 5-6 years old and was absolutely disgusting when I moved in a year and a half ago. The carpet is also extremely cheap, some of the lowest quality you can buy, so it was definitely long overdue to be replaced. Long story short I do not recommend living here under any circumstances. If you do decide to live here, I have a suggestion. Take pictures of EVERYTHING. The porch, walls, carpet, etc. Even if you leave the space looking cleaner then you found it, if something needs replaced due to normal wear and tear, rest assured you will be getting the bill and it will be overpriced. Seeing is how I live over 4 hours away and work during the week days I have no option but to pay the bill or go through a mediation office in Wilmington for assistance in settling the matter. Aspire 349 might as well be a criminal enterprise.

Great community, has everything you could possibly want from an apartment complex and much more! Pool, hot tub, basketball court, fire pit, hammocks, volleyball, gym, and my personal favorite epic ping pong table for everyones pleasure!

The neighborhood looks fresh with a variety of amenities such as a renovated gym and a BBQ area with firepits, -------- boards, and grills. The apartments are decently sized, with large closets and a large kitchen.

It's a nice, safe place to live. For student living, it's quieter than most other places. The office does a good job of communicating and helping any way that they can. They're also very knowledgeable and caring.

Living here in this community has been really nice for the first week and i'm excited to be living here. I like meeting new people and moving in was really easy. Everything about it was really good. i wouldn't want to be living anywhere else.

The actual apartments inside are very nice. The appliances inside need updating though. If something breaks, you can count on maintenance taking forever to fix it. I had to buy a sound machine because of how loud everyone is. The office staff is helpful sometimes but usually just rude teenage girls who act like you are an inconvenience. The traffic outside of the complex is ridiculous all the time. The residents are dishonest and shade. I've had my car backed into and the office did nothing to help. There is not enough visitor parking and the residents park in what little we have. Would not recommend. Someone recently got shot and they promised overnight security which lasted a week.

By far the worst experience I've had. I'm 26 and have been renting since I was 19 and this is the worst place I've ever lived at. I just had gun shots and police in the apartment above me tonight and am now terrified living here. I've only lived here for about a month and this is the second time this week that police have arrived just to this building alone!!!. I cannot walk my dog when it gets dark. It's so loud I barely get any sleep. I am sleep deprived, having anxiety attacks, and overall to not feel safe living here what so ever.

there is dog poop everywhere the pool is never opened everyone in the community is anti social trash is often left in the halls of building for weeks on end if you want to live around of obnoxious drunk college kids this is the place for you

It is a nice facility and always nice employees, but is very unorganized as far as management goes. They make sure to answer your calls and get back to you but the information is usually not accurate or I get different answers and am not sure what to go off of.

The gym and the pool area are nice. Be careful with who you room with. You may want to meet them first. I did not meet my Roomate's before moving in and they are slobs. Keep their things all around the common area and the whole house smells like a dog that hasn't been washed in 8 years

Overall i enjoy living here. Room was very clean and painted well. Smelt good too except the bird issue. Im just only having issues with my water heater, its not heating up for very long and i can only take a shower for a good warm 3 minutes maybe.

I like the living space but was given the wrong key on move in day, and had previously been incorrectly matched with roommates that did not work out and they hadn't even been notified they were getting a roommate. I don't like that there isn't a deadbolt on the front doors, even hotels have deadbolts. Overall I enjoy living here and plan to stay for a while, but things could certainly be improved.

Understanding that it is mainly a student apartment I would still expect professional service. The apartment was given to me in unacceptable condition and my roommate is nothing like what I asked for. I would recommend giving tours of the actual prospective apartment rather than a model. The apartments are nice enough to impress if kept clean and maintained but I had no idea what my personal apartment was going to look like. Also, I am a recent grad starting life in the professional workforce and my roommate turned out to be a college freshman and a lot younger than me. I understand I should've expected this but I was hoping someone more similar to me. It seemed like front office didn't even check my room before they gave it to me. My roommate seems like he hasn't clean a single dish in his life. Overall decent, but im looking forward to leaving already.

Jeremy came in and completed all issues with a quick and kind manner. Told us the problem and fixed it on the spot. The problem was resolved and now our air conditioning works perfectly. He showed up the next morning and was in and out very quickly.

When I first moved into the apartment it was fine, until a month later I started seeing bites on my legs... Come to find out it was flees from the previous resident. Apartment wasn't cleaned upon arrival, there was cat hair and toys all over the apartment and the actual rooms weren't vacuumed. Community manager was rude to work with to get it resolved, proceeded to call me names and wasn't a joy to work with. After a few months it was fine and I got over it. Resigned because I thought I was fine living there for another year, I hated paying the price but it was what I could get. Neighbors under me constantly bang on their ceiling and are completely unreasonable and complain about everything. Not very nice people and dont care to speak to them. Staff is snobby and always have attitudes. Overall apartment is fine but community sucks.

I just moved in a few days ago and even though I've only been here for a short time, it already feels like home. The staff is amazing and made me feel very welcomed and went out of their way to help me. The community feels like a very safe place and everyone I pass is friendly. My apartment was also very clean when I moved in. Can't wait to live here for, hopefully, the rest of my college career!

Community is okay at best. They will tell you a lie straight to your face so don't believe them if they tell you they will do something. Gate never closes so it's not a gated community. Visitor parking is awful, always taken but the same people 7 days a week in all of the spots in the community except the ones up front, but at night there is none at all. I was actually even told(not saying what position so they don't lose their job) by someone in aspire that they don't like to spend money on anything but the front office, which I will give them is rather nice now. Matenice does a fair job that's if you can get the anybody in the office to listen to your request. I had a couple of request in which I was told by the front office I would have a manager speak to me(never happened). Grounds aren't clean as there is dog poop everywhere but the matenice guy does a fair job at picking the trash up in a timely manner. Also if you hate the smell of marijuana then this isn't the place for you. But cops do walk around a couple times a night just to make sure that nothing is out of hand. Personally I wouldn't recommend this place but if there was no other options at all then it will do but don't except much.

I've lived at Aspire 349 for over a year. When I first moved to Wilmington I didn't know anyone so I was extremely happy that they offered a roommate matching system (when I first moved here it was Carolina Cove). To be completely honest I wasn't very happy with how Carolina Cove was ran. When the switch happened I was excited to see what Aspire had to offer. They brought in brand new memory foam mattresses and brand new furniture. I notice more things changing and overall I am very pleased with the new management and company that took over. I would and have recommended Aspire to my friends! I would highly recommend anyone to live here in fact! I am even thinking of staying here for another year! Thank you so much Aspire for meeting my needs and making any accommodation you could to my issues :)

Living at this community so far has been better than my previous living situation but not as good as it could be. Everyone here is very friendly and it is very conveniently located close to everything you could ever need. Do not expect to get anything fixed if it does not work or break because the maintenance staff is horrible at filling requests. I put in a maintenance request as well as showed someone in person what was wrong and it was never fixed.

I have been living at Aspire 349 (formerly named Carolina Cove) for about three and a half years. There has been issues in the past with the residents and the managers not really caring and didn't want to work. However, over the past 6 months, it has been much better. Our recent managers and leasing specialists care and want to help their residents; which is very appreciated. Hopefully this continues and the business continues to grow.

I've really enjoyed my time at this apartment. The whole complex is kept very clean and the inside of the units are super nice and functional. The furniture that is supplied came clean and comfortable. My only issues I have had is that the bathroom vanity does not have much storage (only a cabinet underneath. no drawers) and visitor parking is limited which creates issues on the weekends. All in all, I've enjoyed living here.
