Carolina Cove is a fairly nice apartment complex. It is geared primarily toward students, however it is equally as suitable for young adults and couples seeking to build careers or pursue graduate degrees. It's very well lit and there are multiple security camera which help me feel better about my wife and I staying here and creates a more secure environment. The entire property is surrounded by fence and all entrances are gated which further secures the property. There are officers on the premises which adds to the security element. the apartments themselves have a spacious layout and an efficient use of space including a pantry, laundry closet, and walk-in closets in both bedrooms. There are distinct dining and living ares instead of an all to meshed together space most apartments have. The property is well maintained and has multiple appealing aesthetic qualities. The pool is lovely and the palm trees and sand add to the coastal feel. If you have a pet, you're in luck. There are multiple stations across the property equipped with sanitation bags and disposal cans. On top of that there is a dog park for your dog to be left off it's leash which is a nice addition for pet lovers. The management of the property seems to be very kind. The Property Manager Lauren E. is very kind. She is honest and personable. I believe she genuinely strives to do an excellent job at managing the property. She cares about the residents and always seems to be working to improve even the most slight issues on the property. She is effective as a leader and seems to run a high performing staff. Lauren D. the leasing manager appears to be an excellent financial and leasing manager for the property. She has assisted me with several small issues and has been a great help. Overall, I would recommend Carolina Cove.

The apartments are really nice (then again they are brand new this year). Gated Community... Sort of. The gates used to be open everyday but now they are closed at least at night. However, the bar is always broken so about 3 to 4 cars can get through anytime the gate opens. Security... Supposedly. There are supposed to be security guards but I have never seen them. I am always out at random times of the night walking my dog and I have never seen a security guard walking around but I have seen loud parties, basketball at 3 in the AM and tons of unregistered cars. Which leads me to my next thing. Lots of parking?.... Hell no! There is a sign when you come in that claims they tow but again they must be like the security guards and be ghosts because I have never seen them. Anytime I come in at night or actually anytime after about 8 and up until about 9 the next morning there are no spots and most of the cars are not even residents. Complain to the office you might say but that does nothing they just say we are going to start towing next week after they get done putting warnings on cars (which by the way who cares about a warning when they have gotten about 30 and never been towed). Apparently next week never actually comes. The staff are nice but honestly do not do much as far taking care of the property or its issues. Gates broken, visitors in resident spots, pool packed with non residents, basketball court filled at 3AM they do not seem to care. I know that this will not make a difference but why would you want to live at a property where you are going to spend over $600 a bedroom when the office staff does not care enough to take care of easily fixable things. You have a towing company use them. You supposedly have security guards make sure they are doing their jobs. The bars on the gates are broken but do they get fixed... maybe on Monday after anyone could get in all weekend. All I am saying is at any given time in the office their are about 4 people working but yet nothing gets done. This is again so easily fixable. So, I will say that the day they fix it I will retract this statement and focus more on the upside the apartments actually have.

I can echo a previous review which did not recommend this complex for mature young adults. During your initial visit to the complex everything looks relatively decent and the employees seem nice. It is not until you have moved in that you see what you have gotten into. The complex is filled primarily with college kids who party with drugs, alcohol, and loud music until all hours. In my short 3 month stay I had several concerns that needed addressing, but every time I called (different days/times) the manager was "in a meeting." Instead of handling the tenants' issues themselves, they have the front office staff carry messages. I find that to be very unprofessional. My best advice to a potential resident is to do a careful investigation of the neighborhood to make sure you will be happy because they will charge a $250 fee to let you out of your contract, even if you find your own sub-leaser!

As a current resident & student, I am glad that there was enough room to move in during the middle of the semester. The complex having nice and vibrant atmosphere to it. The staff members upfront seem to be professional and friendly during business hours, and the maintenance crew are also helpful, any problem seem to become fixed in a 24-hour period. Although sometimes they may have to fix the same gadget twice because it may not be fixed properly the first time around. The biggest compliant I hear from fellow residents that noise can be an issue in certain buildings, but that would be expected coming from a large percentage of the younger crowd. Overall I am delighted from the fact I moved in on a short notice, plus the biggest upside to the Cove are the individual leases that range a set-price for all inclusive packages to ones who have pay utilities separately. Also note, that the drive library is literally 5-minutes, that's pretty cool in itself.

I'm a current resident of Carolina Cove, and after they helped me this morning I wanted to write about it. The office staff at Carolina Cove is extremely helpful and nice and also maintenance. This mroning I went into the office with an issue I was having, and right away they were there to help solve my problem. I've never experienced any problems with the management or the property itself. The gate has been annoying a few times but is all better now. Carolina Cove is a great community, and its an awesome place to live. I love the pool and fitness center and shuttle to campus. I would defintely recommend living here.

If you have a family or are a young profession, this is not the place for you. There are kids running around all hours of the night with no repercussions. The head management is never available to answer phone calls or discuss rent. The ladies that work the front desk are very friendly and helpful though. I never see the security guards that patrol the property, which gives me reason to think they never do anything. I have repeatedly called security about noise complaints and it rolls over to voice mail. The parking situation is ridiculous, there is never a parking spot close to my apartment so I have to walk. There are parties every night till 3-4 in the morning, and it s hard to go to class when I am up all night because some dumb --- frat kid is having a party. I would not recommend this apartment complex because of the noise, security, and head management.

The security guards are never around and are very ineffective. The complaints we give to the head person in charge are NEVER taken care of or she is unavailable to speak to. There are people in the pool at all hours of the night and partying around the complex. There is no one guarding the gate so random people get in. There is never any parking. I'm moving for my senior year that is for sure.

My son moved in to this complex and it has been a dream place to live. The complex is just beautiful, brand new, rooms are very large, plenty of closet space and he is just so happy. Another thing I must compliment is the office staff. Everyone in the front office has been so friendly, helpful and accommodate all needs. I met the manager, Lauren, and she was so sweet it made us feel like home. Living out of state worrying like parents do, she made us feel so relieved to leave my son in this complex. I highly recommended this place to live in the Wilmington area, price is comparable to other places but when you see the place, meet the staff then you will be sold like we were. On a scale of 1 to 10 I really would rate this complex an 11 ! Love it :)
