It's a chill complex! New clubhouse is cool! I wish there was recycling and cleaner walkways to make the appearance more comfortable. Pool is nice over summer time. Shuttle to school is perfect. Complex has done better since becoming aspire 349

The experience was great once I came in until I realized that what I had wasn't worth the 730 dollars I pay a month. Especially when you're getting knocks on your door from police/security for no reason. The carpet isn't nice at all, which completely different carpet from what the staff showed me during an appointment. Utilities aren't nice for they are constantly messing up at least once a month. The community outside such as the parking lot is very nice and kept clean but the parking is terrible. Especially the odd location which makes you have to do a whole loop around wilmington just to get to the front gate and even then, the gates sometimes doesn't even work. I understand this business as good intentions but unfortunately, I'm not really gathering any hints.

Great expect the parking. But it has a great pool and community so there's that and they're always a puppy outside. so if like pools and dogs and for some reason bad parking spaces you'll like this place

Living at Aspire 349 (formerly Carolina Cove) has been a great experience overall. The community is not always immaculate, but you really aren't going to find a student community that is clean all of the time (due to the residents). Sometimes the gates don't work, but 99% of the time it's because someone tailgated in and broke the gate, even though there is a huge sign that says not to. The pool closes every once in a while, but that only happens when there is glass broken in the pool. Everything has gone smoothly for me since I've been here. There are minor inconveniences every once in a while, but as I've stated it is normally due to the fault of the residents, not the staff. The staff, by the way, are great! They are always extremely professional and helpful, even when they have someone that is overreacting in their face (I have seen many times where a resident has been overly angry about an issue and they always keep their composure). This is a great place to live because of the amenities and space within the apartment. There's a free gym, free printing, free snacks, a fire pit, basketball court, and dog park! This is the perfect place for students to live, but I wouldn't really recommend it if you're not a student- it can get pretty loud sometimes.

Large rooms with big closets and bathrooms. Decent kitchen and appliances for student living. Furniture is clean and in decent shape. Shared laundry but make sure it works before you move in. Beautiful landscaping and pool area. On bus route to the university. Overall good value for student living.

This property is NASTY!! I would not want my worst ememy to live here. The workers are young dumb college kids that know NOTHING about rental business or customer service. The maintaince crew is terrible. They never do ANY maintaince requests you put in. Whatever you do DO NOT move here. It is a waste of money and this place should be shut down

This community is great for young college students (Freshman/Sophomore) that prioritize their social life over school. The community is loud, unkept, and allows illegal activities to take place on balconies and community property (pool, basketball court) such as underage drinking and marijuana use.

It's a great starter place, but I'm ready to move on to a better complex and with student and non students because there is constant parties here and WE NEED MORE VISTOR PARKING and it can be so incovienante to not have any and literally every time I want to print something the student printer is broken and this REALLY SUCKS.

Aspire used to be really wild and parties everywhere, throw up on the stairs, but it's calmed down. The staff is very nice and polite. The pool is really nice and in the summer I love going there. The gym is small but you can get in a good workout.

It is horrible. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a place to live. I have lived here for the past two years and it has not been a good experience at all. I have never lived in a complex that has no idea what they are doing and never gets back to you when you need something.

Nice safe community. Great location and convenient to school and shopping. Apartments are clean and well maintained. New flooring was just installed. Very nice upgrade and we look forward to future improvements.

very slow with repairs, no communication whether item is fixed. Have made strides with furniture improvement and new flooring. At times complex doesn't look clean on the outside grounds. Office staff not attentive to work requests. Therefore, mother has to submit request (to be taken seriously that there is an issue).

The apartment complex is nice and is good quality for the price you pay, they are also making renovations which are nice this is also increasing the prices. I'm not fond of all of my neighbors but some are good! The complex could use some more community event like a block party.

New management has gotten better about cleaning up all of the dog poop but the apartment complex is really not that great. The carpets were disgusting when I moved in and it was obvious that the apartment complex had never professionally cleaned the carpet. Also, the parking lot is always covered in garbage. The apartment complex is not very good on following through on threats of fines for dirty porches (filled with trash).

Aspire 349 349 Campus Cove, Wilmington, NC 28403 Apartment Building PLACE DETAILS Madelyn Toler ????? in the last week Okay so this is literally the worst place in Wilmington to live, from all the late fees and disgusting ---- everywhere, the management is the absolute WORST do not expect anyone to contact you nor help you with any questions that you may have. They constantly call and ask you to renew your lease but if you need help with something don't expect a call back, because it will not happen. We didn't have AC for an entire 3 weeks and on and off all summer. Our apartment was blowing hot air and the management was absolutely not worried about it being top priority. Don't even get me started on the maintenance guy, he is absolutely the rudest person, told us that our apartment being 89 degrees wasn't a "main" concern. I have lived at Carolina Cove for 3 years now and continued to give them the benefit of the doubt, but not anymore. I am however going to throw some stars for SOME of the front desk peeps, Evan is awesome and so was Emily and a few others. For the most part they try to be as sweet and helpful as possible, its clear that its not their fault they are just under poor management. (which is why the majority quit) My advice is to try and find somewhere that isn't completely ran by college students. I see the name changed but its still ---- cove. Add a photo

WORST PLACE TO LIVE IN WILMINGTON! they are complete scammers and everyone that works here does nothing to help residents when they are the ones THAT LOSE EVERYONES RENT AND TELLS YOU FALSE INFORMATION CONCERNING YOUR RENT. Pool is practically closed for over half of the summer. They take advantage of students being far away from their parents and will scam you and your family for money with NO REMORSE. OVER PRICED. They try to reel you in with incentives to sign a lease then it takes MONTHS for you to even get the gift card or prize you signed for. No A/C for weeks in the middle of the summer and your electricity bill is still 40 dollars PER ROOMMATE. Employees will tell you false information then act like they never even said it. Crappy apartments, crappy appliances, crappy management and employees. Please save your time, money and patience and do NOT sign with this place.

This is my second year at Carolina Cove and I like it very much. The staff is always helpful and responds quickly to maintenance requests. Although it does get a little loud on the weekends, I don't regularly hear any neighbors/loud noises. I feel safe in this student living complex and I would recommend Carolina Cove to a friend.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. I have never had such a bad experience in my life. I hated Carolina cove the whole time I lived here. If you want to wakeup to throw up on the sidewalks, condoms in the bushes, broken glass in the parking lot, pool or gate always broken or closed, ------ staff, and dog ---- everywhere you look this is your place. They try to charge the hell out of you for everything. Absolutely ridiculous. That's why SO many people moved out this year. Don't think your experience will be better cause it's not. Don't waste your money on these idiots who do nothing but try to make as much off of you as they can. They are trying to charge me 50 a piece with my roommate in electric even after the cap off. Since I'm moving out. This is the WORST places to live. Never go here

Carolina cove is by far the worst place I've ever lived. If you have any plans to be a successful student or productive citizen DO NOT live here. It's way overpriced and you get nothing for it. They trick you by talking about their great amenities and their $400 gift cards when you sign your lease. Since I've moved in a year ago I can count on one hand how many times the gate to our "gated community" has actually worked. Not to mention the "great" pool we have is closed down for days at a time every other week if not every week because the trashy people who live here leave their garbage, cigarette butts and god knows what else anywhere and everywhere instead of in the trash. Since I moved in Ive had issues with my up and downstairs neighbors playing music and and having parties until 4 am on week nights. I've complained to the office for several months and they've done nothing about it, they recommended I just call the police because "there's nothing we can do about it." Even after I had profanity yelled at me for asking my neighbors nicely to be quiet, the manager told me there wasn't anything they could do. I in no way feel safe living in this community. Two people in my 12 unit building have been arrested for selling drugs, and there's more who just haven't been caught yet. The maintenance men come into your apartment whenever they please even if you don't answer, meaning when you're in the shower. The apartments themselves are nice but the people and staff who fill them are down right the trashiest and most disrespectful people you will ever meet. I've regretted my move here since the second day. Don't make the same mistake I did.

So many upgrades were done this year and I can honestly say that I love living at the Cove. My apartment came fully furnished and all of my utilities are included plus it came with a washer and made transitioning from the dorms super convenient for me! Some of my friends live at other apartments close to here and are all jealous of how much less I pay in rent and all the stuff that is included. The people up front and the maintenance team are always so nice and helpful. The new wifi is a life saver and it makes me feel so much better knowing it is a private connection and not shared throughout the community. I have zero complaints!

Trash and Party complex! Walking around the property there is always an abundance of trash and dog ---- on the ground. The pool is always closed and there is not enough visitor parking for my guest or family. The front office never answers the phone after hours for lock outs and is unhelpful when putting in a service request. Maintenance says they fix ---- in the apartment but then I have to put in a new request the next day. My building's stairs are covered with vomit from my neighbors parting and the noise level after 10 PM wont let you sleep or study. I place my bicycle on my balcony because there is no room on the rack from old bicycles from previous resident it looks like a dump. Living here for over 2 years I have had multiple complaints and no real answers or resolution. I am not happy with experience so look elsewhere.

I've been living in Carolina Cove for just over 6 months, and overall I have had a great experience. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful in solving any issues I have with my apartment, or answering any questions. Maintenance requests have always been taken care of promptly. The biggest thing I was worried about when moving in was noise from upstairs since I am on the first floor, and I realize this apartment is all college students. At the previous apartment complex I moved from I could hear every footstep of my upstairs neighbor. However, at my apartment in Carolina Cove I almost forget there are people living above my apartment, because there is little to no noise from the upstairs neighbors. There are some things that have been disappointing though. Living in an apartment facing the basketball courts I'm constantly awoken by people on the playing basketball and yelling on the court all hours of the night, and nothing has been done to enforce stop this from occurring. Secondly the pool is almost always closed. I read the past reviews, but didn't think it could be that bad. But the pool is almost always closed except for a few pool parties which is really disappointing. Lastly, the lack of visitor spots is frustrating. I almost always have to tell guests to park over at mill creek in their guest spots. I would understand if there were limited parking spots, however, there is far more resident spots than there are residents. Overall if I was staying in Wilmington I would certainly stay in Carolina Cove again. I was hesitant to live here after reading a few reviews, but in my personal experience it has been better than the 3 other apartments I have lived in prior to Carolina Cove. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for an all student community that in my opinion is a better value than many other complexes.

For Parents: LOOK ELSEWHERE!! My son has lived at Carolina Cove since August 2015, and it has not been a good experience. At the time of move in, the apartment was filthy...carpet stains and burns, the A/C air return and filter were thickly caked with dust, one of the bathroom floors was dirty, another bathroom floor vinyl was completely worn of it's original pattern, one bedroom had pet hair and dirt all along the floor boards. It took weeks for the carpet to be replaced, and the workers showed up unannounced and unscheduled when my son was out of town. One of his roommates (a 21 y/o girl) was panicked to be there alone with the workmen. Parking is a continual issue. The community is "gated" so theoretically there should be enough parking for the tenants. My son works late into the night, and can't park anywhere near his building when he returns from work. The Wi-Fi is terrible, according to my son. He's unable to download things he needs to download. We have very reasonable expectations, and this place has NOT been a good experience. It is NOT as advertised and NOT worth the price!!! My older son has lived in multiple student rental / apartment rental situations, ALL of which were hands-down better than Carolina Cove. We will be looking elsewhere for next year.

Lived here at CC since it first opened and I can its transitions through the two years has been negative. I never really had any major issue until my last few months. I was all for backing up CC because I am a positive person and know running an apartment complex is not an easy task but I can no longer do that. There are some great things about CC: location, bedroom size, bathroom size, closet size, and the fact you can lease your own room. However the management there for a lack better words is terrible. I am not saying don't move there because its a good spot overall for the average college student but make sure you read the lease all the way though, understand what you are paying for, and know your legal rights as a renter. The management will try and play you. When you move in make sure you take the time to fill out the move in checklist and that everything works. They have the cheapest washer and dryers but if anything happens to it they blame you and make you pay for it. There was an influx of people that moved in during the new school year so parking has gotten worse, noise level has risen, and so has the crime. Don't think since it is a "gated" community it is safe. There was been a multiple number of crimes taken place there including arm robbery; people have even climbed up the balcony to break into resident's homes. In addition to all that they have cut down the trees that use the make the complex secluded (was a nice feature) and are building a new complex so that area is going to be even more congested. Management needs to step there game up and watch how they talk about residents & the complex in front of other residents. P.S: There is a difference in bedroom size for the 3 bedroom apartments. Room 3 behind the kitchen is the biggest especially closet size wise.

The drunken trash left over from the night before. You are forced to sign your lease 6 mos. in advance. The slamming doors sound like bombs. The enter your apartment at any time of the day with no heads up. Carpet cleaners, maintence people, painters, cleaning crews if you have open rooms, sometimes they go to the wrong house until convinced they are in fact in the wrong house. Also can get pretty loud, especially in the summer.
