get over the noise
the reserves are a great place to live--- and it´s obvious that the majority of tenants are going to be college students, so why is everybody complaining about all the ´noise´? it´s not even that noisy here anyway. moving in you should expect it- you´re living in a college town and in an apartment complex that caters to college kids. get over it

overall, very nice, would recommend
first, the bad. parking near my building is not good at all, esp. after 5pm. really need assigned parking or visitor lot. some vehicles and boats are never moved, even near buildings. other buildings have more parking - the complex is not laid out very well. it seems that most people who walk their dogs do not clean up after them, even though there are stations with bags throughout the complex. lots of college students who have no respect for their neighbors who have professional jobs and need sleep at night. not enough sound insulation.

now, for the good. very roomy apts with very large kitchens and baths, well appointed except for no drawers and only one towel rack in bathroom. alarm system, which is great. very nicely lanscaped and grounds are well kept (cleaned up well after people who litter). well lit parking lot. maintanance staff is WONDERFUL, very friendly and any problems fixed right away. office staff is friendly, although there has been a complete turnover and the current staff is a step down (just not too experienced I guess, and no socials, newsletters, informing of packages left, etc. like we used to have). love the, pool, 24 office and gym. wish the clubhouse could be rented for functions, as it is very nice.

All around great place to live :)
I really enjoyed my time at The Reserve. It was the most comfortable place that I lived in Wilmington and I like the location (it´s central to everything). The staff were very friendly and helpful and maintenance was wonderful. I really miss my apartment. I wish they had a Reserve here in PA!

good except..
This apartment complex is awesome, except for the cable and internet. It hardly ever works and cuts out for hours during the day. The staff and amenities are awesome. I´m living here again next year, hopefully I can get a different cable company!

Great place, horrible cable and internet
The worst possible cable and internet service I have ever heard of or dealt with. Great MGMT staff and all in all a great place to live.

I was totally wrong
I just moved out of the reserves and I had given them a good review only because I had never really talked to the people in the office. Now that I have had to deal with them personally, I think they are very rude and have no consideration whatsoever for their residents. And I agree with all the other raters that said NO...it really is too damn noisy. I couldn't walk my dog easily because he wanted to bark all the time at all the party goers. And because I'm a girl, I had to worry about running into drunk guys that have no idea what their name is all the time. Plus, I was always worried that I would run into someone that shouldn't be on the premises in the first place. My neighbors who were also college students weren't that noisy but I lived on the third floor so I didn't have to deal with a lot of the overhead noise. Plus the pool was closed for the last month that I was there due to "glass in the pool" because I bet a drunk guy broke a beer bottle that he shouldn't have had in the first place. I would only recommend the reserves to someone that is rich and doesn't mind partying.

good value and good mgt staff
my overall opinion of the place has been positive. we even had a little excitement a few months back with a gunfight between police and a couple of gentlemen who didn´t live in any of the apartments. can´t really blame the mgt for that. the overall group of people slants mostly to the college age crowd but i had no major problems. there are a number of young motorcycle owners who like to show the entire complex how loud they can be sometimes early on the weekends. they most likely sleep late during the week. but its has not been too bad. i´ve stayed at a lot worst.

Love it
I´ve lived here for almost 3 years now, and have loved every year. The staff is great, always a smile and glad to help in any way. Apartments are HUGE and nice. It´s obvious they were thrown up in a hurry, as I have a few crooked walls, and a bathroom door that won´t latch very easy (I´m sure they´d fix it, but living alone I haven´t bothered), but nothing that causes problems. The few times I´ve needed maintenance, they were here in no time, even after hours. The guy who complained about loud neighbors must´ve been in a different bldg, because I´ve NEVER had any problems with noise. In fact, with more than one police officer living on-site, I think they tend to keep things quiet. Though there are many college students that live here, myself included. I´ve never seen them tow anyone here, and there are always plenty of parking spots. All in all, if you can afford it, this is THE place to live in Wilmington if you´re looking for an apt. And they have garages too, an added bonus. :)

Unbelievable living experience!
My family and I moved into the area and had no idea where to live. The office staff was so welcoming we decided that it was a sign that we reside at The Reserve. The customer service is like no other. Though we had to leave The Reserve, we bought a house, I was sad to see that I would not be experiencing the same smiling faces as I came in for packages, cookies or just wanted to say hi. I still stop by to see how they are doing and to chat with the girls in the office. I highly reccomend The Reserve! It was more than just your standard apartment living.

Good move-in deal but terrible neighbors
For professionals in the Wilmington area I would suggest being careful with your choice of apts. With this being a college town I have college kids above and below me that are loud and do not care about their neighbors. I have had to write numerous complaint letters as well as call the police. The apts are nice and spacious but I would rather have paid a little more for a more mature enviornment, rather than feeling like I am in a dorm. This complex seems to be fine with renting to college kids.
