Living here has been great. It's a very quote and peaceful place to live. Pet friendly is what we truly like about it. Tons of space and very homie. Looked around at other places and nothing is comparable from price to size ratio. Love living here and hopefully will continue to do so.

I honestly really love The Pines and for it to be located in Portsmouth the price of it is not bad compared to other apartments especially some studios that I saw for almost $3000 in the Portsmouth area.

Have had great neighbors in my building all these years. Staff very helpful, knowledgeable and courteous . So close to everything. Get chatty with pet owners and meet many new people. Suggest using Amos. Wash for ease of large and many loads.

We had never lived in an Apartment complex. We also owned a home. I do like this complex, it well managed, close to shopping and the beaches! It is also quiet! Family and Pet friendly with plenty of Parking!!

It's been good so far. It is a well maintained area and with the new laundry in every building it's definitely a convenience. It's also nice that you do get a response for maintenance quickly. Everyone is very nice in this area and respectful. It's also probably the only affordable place around Portsmouth. Our front door keeps getting broken by people who dont want to use their key so that sucks and when I was getting abused by my boyfriend who had a restraining order they were not helpful at all with getting out of my situation.

It is a good place to live, quiet and a good community, however the units need maintenance, the walls of the stairs need painting and the carpets look very dirty. In the time I have been in Arbor View I have not seen this maintenance being carried out.

We love this community located in a sprawling forest with all amenities close by. Our unit is spacious with a beautiful patio and tall pine and oak trees in the backyard. We haven't had much issues here but the rent is a little pricey and laundry facilities are small and busy. Overall though this is a good place to stay.

In general, apartment is not worth the amount we pay. It is a very high rent payment, with little reward. Security issues with buildings, extremely noisy neighbors, and maintenance issues are often not resolved timely.

Overall the staff is kind and the apartment is fine. Maintenance of the individual apartments has always been quick, but maintenance and updates to other amenities takes significantly longer. The biggest issues are random office closures with minimal notice and the fact that the property itself is kind of a mess.

Good..could use a new dog park update, fence & grass. Fix all buzzers in apts for front door access. Fix pothole on the road where 33 Beechstone resides. Need more lighting on parking spots & entrance.

This is a nice, quiet, relaxed community. The staff is responsive but not overbearing. Grounds are kept neat and clean but not well landscaped due to the large number of dogs taking a toll on the grass.

The apartment that we are renting is brand new (appliances, too), so it suits our temporary needs. The leasing office staff is responsive and helpful. The maintenance staff is helpful. The overall appearance of the complex is fine. It feels safe.

I like my big patio and sliding glass doors with a view of the forest. There are paths to walk my dog in the woods and in the community. There are also many dog owners that are friendly to talk to. I like how spacious my apartment is as well.

Its cheap for the area. I been here going on 2 years. The apartments are old and the heat doesn't work that great but the two bedrooms do have a nice layout and they allow cats and dogs. The gym is decent and management is responsive. I will say I live here for the location and not so much the quality of the apartment.

The area of Portsmouth is very convenient and nice. The apartment complex is outdated and has few renovations minus the new buildings. Poor maintenance department when it comes to maintaining the roads. Doorknobs have been broken for a long time causing safety concerns and access problems.

Arbor View and The Pines are among the few decent and affordable apartment communities in the Portsmouth area. The apartments are in excellent condition with all the basic needs except the in-unit laundry facility in all the units. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The only issue I have experienced so far is the turnaround time for the work orders, but I will have to mention that they are improving on that part for sure. Also, no utilities are included in the rent, it would be great if management can offer to pay for heat/hot water, etc. Also, at night in some areas, it gets literally pitch dark. I would recommend if management can improve the lighting in the area, that would be really helpful. I find this place good for my lifestyle, and work commute. I am happy with my overall experience here. Thanks.

Apartment is dirty, lots of bugs and the roof paint is falling apart. The people are really nice, but there is no playground for kids, it has been replaced by another group of buildings, so kids can't do anything.

The office and maintenance staff are amazing, both on a professional level and personal. They engage the kids and always have treats for the pups. The community is quiet but close to everything. Great place to live!

Overall, this is a middle grade apartment complex. Not horrible, but not the best. The office staff are friendly, and for the most part attempt to address concerns as soon as possible. The maintenance staff are friendly and for the most part have been able to address issues fairly quickly. Sometimes the issues are not adequately addressed and then can take longer to fix however. There is a pretty significant trash problem at this apartment complex with trash being spewed all around the dumpsters and into local community areas. It is a luck of the draw as to who you get as neighbors, which I think can significantly affect your experience as the walls are quite thin and you will hear your upstairs neighbor stopping around. The shared areas are not always the most clean. The gym is adequate and does the trick. However, sometimes the soap and toilet paper in the bathroom is not refilled for days to weeks. Be cautious when bringing your pets to this complex as not all dogs at this complex are friendly. For the most part owners pick up their dogs poop however, there are definitely still messes that are made that owners do not pick up. the residents are mostly friendly, but there have been some experiences with creepy neighbors or people smoking in the buildings when they have not supposed to be. Again, often times those issues are not adequately addressed by management.
