For the price, I am relatively content with the unit. The workers in the leasing office are always helpful and friendly. While we had to have maintenance come a few times, they've always been hard working and efficient.

Quiet community. Tucked away from traffic and university but close to both. Walking distance to parks, trails, bike paths, neighborhoods, bus stops, and even essential shopping. Less than 5 min from several shopping centers. Apartments are nice, but old. No problems with hot water or HVAC. Nice kitchen upgrades. Efficient maintenance staff. Top floor has loud creaky floors, so bottom floor has noisy ceiling. Older carpets are clean but very worn with no padding. Love that cable, WiFi, and bus passes are included. Love pool and gym. Don't love that washer/dryer is in the bedroom. Overall, great place to live.

Vairo is a nice inexpensive community. Very very quiet and away from the college feel of downtown state college. Easy access to places like Rothrock forest, and a nice running trail behind the apartment complex.

So far we have had a great experience moving in. We have been here for about one week and have had a pleasant experience with both the managers and with maintenance. It is easy to get ahold of everyone when needed and all of our questions were answered.

Vairo Village isn't the nicest place to live in State College but it is quiet. Our experience living here has been good. However, in the last 12-18 months, things have gone downhill. It seems like they don't care as much about the property. This could be because of COVID. Just around the community things haven't been cleaned up as well as before. Also communications from the office don't go out until last minute.

Every issue that we have had has been responded too quickly and resolved. We appreciate living here. We moved here just about a yeah and a half ago and are looking to get a home in the area. Vairo has been a great first step to introducing us to the state college area.

I would say Vairo Village has all the necessary components for living. Central amenity, bus-pass, gym, pool, very comfortable apartments. All and above it is in a position that is very close to Walmart, dollar-tree, target, kohls, etc.

I have only stayed for a few days so can't really comment much. But overall until now I am quite liking the place. Hopefully I will be able to write an in-depth review when my lease comes to an end. Thank you

Quiet, clean, good maintenance, friendly staff, and safe. Overall, I enjoy living here. Need to pick up mail and do laundry near the leasing office, which is doable but might be an inconvenience to some people.

Vairo Village is a great and quite living community made up in majority of Penn State graduate students and families. The rental and maintenance staff are easy to work with and accommodating to their residents.

It is a convenient community. I can reach supermarkets and restaurants in town within 5 minutes. Also, it is pet friendly. Green grass is right outside our unit. I can walk my dog anytime I want. And there are plenty of dumpsters in the parking lots. Valet trash service is great too.

The employees at Vairo Village are very kind and prompt in answering service requests. I have had little to no issues with my apartment. I never hear loud noises that keep me up at night. I like having an exercise facility and a laundry room nearby. The laundry is too expensive though in my opinion.

I recently switched an apartment due to the harassment from my neighbor whom I had never spoken to. They sabotaged my property and punched my door. According to the police, they said they were drunk and couldn't remember anything. Whether they were drunk or not, their behavior needs to be dealt with. They are most likely bothering other residents and others are for sure at risk. Though I was switched to another apartment quickly (which Sarah helped a lot), I'm sure the community safety is still being threatened unless the person is being evicted or things along those lines, as move-in background check apparently failed to prevent cases like this from happening.

Everything is fine except sometimes when they lose their humanity. Just one example, one night if you do not have a parking sticker, your car might get towed ($200 fine to the towing company) even though you paid for everything. Plus, you have to buy a new sticker for $50. Really? Those stickers do not even cost more than $2. Anyway, among all the people who work there, only Whitney is the most efficient and most helpful of all. I would suggest whenever you reach them look for Whitney. She will be able to help you with what you need. Avoid Zikea at all cost when you talk to them. She knows nothing!!!

The ratings don't necessarily reflect how Vairo is. The leasing staff have been helpful and the apartment except a leaky roof has been good. The maintainance staff have been prompt to respond to our maintainance issues. Overall, if the roof didn't leak so often, the stay would have been great! Fitting in a dishwasher would have been helpful.

It is a vibrant community and surrounded by nature, We loved staying here. However the rent is relatively higher than the other apartments around. The houses are nicely placed, cozy and the service is prompt.

Nice place to live. Some things need to be updated. Would recommend. Price of rent and amenity fees should be reduced. Since living here, some improvements have been made, but you should not raise rent on residents that have lived here for more than two years, and amenity fees should be cut in half for supporting your appts

My experience at Village Vairo has been excellent. The office staff is courteous and respectful every time I have needed them. The maintenance crew are punctual with work orders and explain every detail of the work that needs to be done and how long it is going to take to complete it. I don't regret moving to Vairo Village at all.
