It's an ok place to live, the rates are kinda high and the quality isn't great, the buildings are old and in somewhat poor condition, mostly just because they are old. Appliances are varied on quallity. It is a convenient place to live though, close to town, short bus ride away.

I love vairo village. I lived here 12 years ago for a time as well. The convenience and proximity to beautiful park to walk in is priceless. It's even better now with upgraded apartments and appliances.

It is a quiet location and there are many bus stops. You get what you pay for, and this is worth the money if you are trying to save up and don't mind the commute. Furnished units are really convenient.

It has been great and smooth during moving-in. I chose contactless move-in such that all the paper work and keys were in my apartment when I arrived. It is convenient especially under current situation.

The staff has been accommodating throughout the entire application and move-in process! The quality of the apartment and facilities is also exceptional and I look forward to making full use of it. For students, campus is also easily accessible with on-site parking and easy access to public transportation!

Generally, the apartment I rent reached my expectations, but, the AC machine in my bedroom is too annoying. Don't know what the designer was thinking, I cannot turn the fan on when I want to sleep. Also the apartment need more lights, that's necessary for an apartment.

Everything's great except the AC was too loud. The rent here is good compared to other apartments around school. Staffs are friendly and professional. My apartment was very clean when I moved in but the AC operating system in the bedroom is so loud it wakes me up a few times. I don't get why they put it in the bedroom.

I feel welcomed, safe, and excited to start my journey at Vairo Village. Not only have they provided great services but also upkeep and maintenance when needed. They are always willing to work with you as well.

This is probably the best price you'll get at this end of town for one bedroom apartments. My apartment was incredibly dirty when I moved in, the apartment is old, and there are frequent problems with the community laundry room (in my personal experience). Now that I have my apartment clean, I'm debating whether it's worth moving and risking having another dirty apartment, or if I can put up with the frequent problems for another year or two. Pros: free parking, free bus pass, good neighborhood. Cons: old, frequent problems with fire alarm, AC, laundry; unable to opt out of $20 / month valet trash, rent has gone up $55 / month over the last 2 years

I have just moved into the apartment within the past week and so far all of the staff has been very kind. They have greeted us with smiles and has helped us fix anything that needed fixed prior to moving into the complex. I do look forward to seeing what else this complex has to offer.

I love the cleanliness and surrounding views. Access to the gym and laundry is also important to me which I liked very much. The parking space provided is also great. The near vicinity of public transport is also very convenient.

I had an easy move-in. Zakiya was very helpful and provided me with all the details I had wanted. We had no ethernet port and our move-in day was a Saturday, still, they fixed it the next day. It's the best place for the price.

The apartment was freshly painted and cleaned when we moved in. It is a fine space, but there are signs of wear-and-tear from over the years. The carpet was clean, but it feels like there is little, if any, padding in the flooring which causes irregularities in the floor level and noisy walking (we live on the second floor). The fresh paint was applied to the hanger bars in the closet, causing paint chips to fall on our clothes, as well as an air vent, which was not cleaned beforehand so the paint sealed around the vent openings. Conversely our kitchen, bathroom, and laundry (included in some of the units) are all nice and upgraded. I enjoy the layout of the buildings in this complex which are dotted along the hillside with winding paths between areas and plenty of lawn space. I have always found there to be enough parking spots available in the lots and I appreciate the convenience of the nearby bus stops. The maintenance staff are prompt and effective. The front office staff are generally pleasant and helpful, though not always the most organized. The demographic seems to include graduate students and families, as well as single professionals and couples. It is not a party atmosphere and people tend to keep to themselves. I am a graduate student, and this is a good fit for me because it is close to the Penn State campus (and easily accessible by bus), but it is far enough removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown and the "college town" feel. Plus there are some nice walking trails nearby.

I live in phase I of the complex so my building is on the older side but good for the price. Maintenance has always been promptly handled. I hope Vairo Village will be more transparent in terms of fees. I suggest they should publish their fees on the resident online portal and keep them fixed for the leasing year. Our experience with Sarah (Sharer ?) has not been great. Whenever we have to do some paperwork with her, she usually gives us higher administrative fees than what other staff in the office do, whether it is $100 more in add-on fee or $5 more in additional parking pass. I really really hope that Vairo Village can publish these fees online. Overall, I would recommend Vairo Village to a friend but would warn them about these administrative fees.

Everyone is friendly, the area is nice and seems calm. I love the area, it's beautiful around here. I don't like that there is a lot of bugs and spiders. Besides that everything is perfect. It is very comfortable living.

An overall positive experience from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly and had answers to all of my questions. I've lived all over the country and Vairo has excellent amenities for the price and better service than I expected from this price point.

Easy move in process with a very helpful staff. Location is wonderful and kept well up to date. Ample parking available and very close to public transportation. Space is very open and apartment recently had kitchen renovated. Carpet was a little old and worn.

The worst place! They always say reaching out the leasing office by email or phone as they replied to each comment. But the phone didn't solve the problem and you never get replied by email! There are a lot of hidden fees. They Even charge you additional $20 per month for trash. You can actually throw the garbage yourself within obe minute. The house is very very very noisy. The apartment does not stop noise at all! You can hear everything from your neighbors. If you live near the basketball court, that would be crazy. People can play it until 10pm very noisy!!! Someone mentioned the electricity bill. They charged me very randomly on gas bill. They never give reasons. I expect someone from the office will reply "contact our leasing office.....". How hypercritical it is. They ask you to call but never solve problems. How disgusting! For Those who were charged extra, my strategy is call them endlessly until they pay you back. They should be responsible for what they did. Never rent this place!

My apartment's kitchen and bathroom were updated prior to me moving in which gives it a more modern aesthetic, all new appliances too! The employees and maintenance have always been professional and been great with response times to calls, emails and maintenance requests.

I just moved in but so far it has been great! I like the amenities that are available and the apartment was clean when we moved in. I enjoy the fact that we have laundry in our unit so we dint have to go out to do laundry.
