So far so good however, I haven't really use any of the equipments the community provide to us since the school is starting and homework, quizzes and projects are all moving in. Yet, so far I've of the staff named Jessica is really helpful while I am processing the move in process!

Great experience. Quiet and clean, warm and comfortable. When something goes wrong with the apartment, the office always send someone here to fix it as soon as the office being noticed. Bus pass and gym is really helpful for the everyday life.

Vairo has come to be home for me. My apartment is comfy despite an older model kitchen which I was worried about. They do make an effort to take care of residents. The revamped gym is a plus. It's been 2.5 years and I will probably stay another 2.5years.

Everything is great about this apartments except their laundry room. It's already dirty, the floor and even the machines and half the machines don't even work. People puts their laundry in and it would just sit there for hours. Couple times i swiped my card for dryer and it wouldn't even let me select a cycle even after I paid for it.

The community is very clean and quiet. Occasionally there is dog feces everywhere if you step on the grass. Maintenance responds very quickly to service requests. The laundromat, gym, and pool is kind of far considering that I live at the bottom of the complex and I don't have a car. The leasing consultants are very friendly and helpful.

This is a great place to live. I never had any complains with anything. Only thing I could think of is that the authority could be more strict about the pet policy as often some irresponsible people keep pet messes around.

Excellent community with a dedicated staff at an affordable price. Apartments are roomy, safe, and simple, nothing too fancy but college students like myself don't really need that many fancy things. Laundry facilities are great, as is the community center where I often study. Pool and gym are nice as well, and the complex is conveniently close to shopping areas and on many main bus lines going into and out of town. Great place to live!

I moved into Vairo Village and was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the apartment. There was mold in the kitchen and bathroom actively growing. Horrible smell in the apartment. Terrible. I would not recommend this property.

The apartment is quite good and it's very convenient for shopping close to the bus stop. Also their service is excellent. Especially their beautiful rental consultant, Jessica. Thank for her help. But the noisy problems are very heavy. Dogs running at the 2nd floor in the night and the machine roaring in the bedroom.

Honestly, it is way too much money for a run down apartment complex. The interior is extremely old and poorly finished. Appliances are extremely out of date as well. If it was brand new or furnished to a better point, i would not mind paying the large amount i currently do.

Nice apartment but very expensive. Apartment office doesn't tell you you will need your own router for internet when they tell you that internet is "included". The apartment was supposed to be professionally cleaned, but upon move in there were dead ants all over the kitchen floor. The outlets in the kitchen do not work, and no one has contacted us about fixing them.

This apartment may not be as great as other apartments, especially when I look at the ratings on google. However, this apartment is not that terrible other than the apartment being a bit old. The price for the apartment is quite affordable and I find the transportation to school to be really convenient. Others may think that the distance is quite far from school and other places, but one advantage is that the bus stops at this apartment first before all the other apartments such as Tremont, Point, Bryn, and etc. so most of the time I was able to get to school, while I see the bus passing by the other apartments where a group of more than 30 people just watch the bus pass by. The gym and lounge is not that terrible either other than the lounge cuts the electricity around 9 pm so I can still stay in the lounge but cannot charge my laptop or phone after a certain time period. Overall, if you stay at a furnished apartment then the inside of the apartment would be more new than the one I am living in.

Pros: 1. Silent community with decent sound proofing (You sometimes hear the upstairs neighbors, but mostly never hear the neighbors in the same floor on the sides). 2. Good bus connectivity (the bus may be crowded, but since Vairo is close to the starting point of the V/VE, you'll always get a seat) 3. The amenities are good (swimming pool, gym, etc.) 4. Close to a variety of supermarkets like Walmart, Wegmans, Trader Joe's, etc. The south side of campus has only Weis close by. Cons: 1. Laundry room can be far away depending on where your apartment is located. This makes things more difficult in winter. 2. Bus stop could be far away depending on where your apartment is located (we were lucky, we got an apartment close to the bus stop). 3. You have to pay for heat (gas/electricity). This can drive up the bill in winter cancelling out any potential rent saving you have compared to apartments in the south. 4. Heat distribution was not good in our apartment. The master bedroom was almost always 10 F cooler than the other parts. 5. Much farther away from campus (you could technically walk to campus from the apartments in Waupelani drive, but from Vairo, it's going to be a long walk).

The original apartment that we were going to move into was not acceptable and was on the first floor when we had been told our apartment was on the second. The cabinets were crooked and drawers stuck with paint on doors and noisy upstairs neighbors from just the five minutes we first walked in. The rental office was wonderful in fixing their error and moved us to a much cleaner, quieter, and second floor apartment on the same day. The policy of making us pay a full month's rent for only a few days left in the month was ridiculous, however, and a bit slimy as it was referred to as "first month's rent" until move in when it was too late.

While the location makes shopping convenient, it is is further away from Penn State campus than I would have liked. The apartments are on the old side and the AC is extremely loud. The washing machines are supposed to take credit card but all the readers dont work.

This community is in a proper distance from campus, and takes about 15 minute to arrive. It's quite in the night and staff is very nice and ready to help. The rent is reasonable. I would recommend to my friends.

The house is really great for a small family or friends of 4. The space of each room is enough for students like me. The living room is spacious. But the lightning they provide is only at the living room.

Very good complex! Love the bus service, gym, and staff. One of the best complexes I've stayed at. I've recently moved here to State College and it is centrally located to Walmart, Trader Joe's, and other places.

This is a very quiet and mature neighborhood. I enjoy staying here. The maintenance and office staff are friendly, helpful and professional. I'd recommend Vairo Village to a friend. The rent is also relatively cheaper than some other places. And because Vairo is one of the first few stops for the VE CATABus we get to board the bus first!

It's a descent place to begin life at State college. Has all the required facilities. Bus connects to the campus and groceries are nearby. The service is very speedy if we give any service request regarding the apartment.
