Having lived at the Farrington for 18 months, I have found that Leslie and her staff go out of their way to make your home at the Farrington the best it can be. The apartments are well maintained and the upgrades you are allowed to make help make the Farrington a home you can be proud of. I don't know to many people with more than 2 cars so the 2 space limit per apartment seems adequate to me. The grounds are well maintained with a lawn service arriving every Monday morning.

I am also going to give a big fat NO as my recommendation to this apartment complex!!! All of other complaints listed are very valid. Mold everwhere, maintence sucks; it takes the guy 3 times to fix something right. The most annoying thing is that the office is NEVER open. I currently have some packages being held hostage in the office for Christmas because they are too selfish to actually work and some of us actually work when we are supposed to! I hope the WRH reality main office knows their employees don't really work. Not to mention, it's really offputting to future tenants to not be open when you're supposed to. I say fire 'em all and start over. We will be moving out as soon as possible!!

If you are thinking about moving to the farrington don't! ------ is beyond rude. Upon moving here I was told that the "hard wood" floors were more expensive than carpet floors but no carpet floors were available so I got the hard wood floors. When it was time for me to renew my lease my brother whom I live with is active military so he came from Jacksonville, NC to sign the lease and she asked him if he lives there and said her computers were down he would have to come back the following week. We also found out that our neighbors rent was cheaper than ours even though we got military discount and we moved in a week apart from one another with the same exact floor plan. I had mold growing upstairs and downstairs. The water bugs are horrible. They say lawn care is included but the never came and cut any bushes. ------ sent a note saying we were using too much water and we don't even have a washer/dryer. The dishwasher leaked. The walls are thin. The heat/air vents in the upstairs never worked. The hot water is limited. I would not recommend anyone living here.

this place overall is really really really sh&^%$y. the apartment is okay, nice closet space, but it's still pretty sh&%$y. maintenance is sh&^$y. the pest that never go away (SPIDERS, ROACHES, ANTS, ETC.) are s&^%$y. someone broke into my car twice, i was without air for a month, it took them 3 months to fix my shower/bathtub from not draining and all they had to end up doing was change the freaking shower head, the air vent in the bedroom didn't work the whole time i was there, but it had been "fixed". MANAGEMENT SUCKS!!! ------------- IS RUDE AND HAS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. i could get uverse here, that was my only perk. this place is bad luck, worst 6 months of my life. DO NOT LIVE HERE, IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!!

The Farrington Apartments made the local news, unfortunately it was for a violent gun battle between a violent criminal and the police where an officer was shot. Apart from its recent television appearance, it is still a pretty terrible place to live. I moved in August of 2012, and within days my neighbor's car was broken into. There is water damage under the bathroom and kitchen sink. I had issues with my garbage disposal, dishwasher, leaks from a light fixture in my laundry closet, and peeling paint inside my shower/bathtub. Maintenance is extremely slow and will half way fix a problem. When I did have my shower redone my bathroom was left a mess there were pain chips, and residue left all over the bathroom. Upon moving in I expected to see some bugs considering that it was a vacant ground floor unit, and expected it to subside with monthly extermination. This was not the case, I currently live with my boyfriend and the spiders. The spiders should pay their share of the rent as often as I see them. I dread the spring time knowing that with the warm weather will come more insect room mates.I am disgusted at the quality, and safety (or lack thereof) in the Farrington Apartments. I am counting the months until I can be rid of this nightmare. NEVER move here!!

HORRIBLE!!!!!!! I moved in the end of September and mid October the ceiling started leaking. My light bill went from $80 to $200. They took forever to come fix it. then when they did the half way fix it. Four months had past I still couldnt sleep in my room so i had to use storage to putmy bed in so my things wouldnt be ruined. my sink would leak they came but ran the warer for 2 seconds and say its not. then tried to go to court but moved out before the court date so they put over $2000 on my credit saying i damage the place. Dont go there still battling till this day about it

WONDERFUL, NEW MANAGER
I have lived at the Farrington for 3 years and was I was considering moving until I met the new Property Manager. Her name is Leslie and she is WONDERFUL! I stopped by the office to pay my rent and to talk to Danielle. I asked Danielle what had changed because there is a noticeable change in the attitudes of not only the office people but even the maintenance men seem happier. When Leslie heard me talking she came out of her office and introduced herself and asked me my opinion of the property she wanted to know my opinion on what I would like to see accomplished in the short term to make me happy. Who does that? I really could tell that she cares and will make a difference. YOU GO GIRL!

bad management and bed bugs
living here now and dealing with poor management and shoddy maintenance. I Just had to have a bed bug infestation that came from my trashy neighbors moving out treated. on top of that they blamed me for the infestation in my apt even though they only sprayed the one unit for the bugs when it was first discovered and asked other units if they had seen any and since there hadnt been enough time for the bugs to migrate from the treated area of course no one else had. The circuit that the kitchen is on has been faulty since the day that maintenance came and "Fixed" the kitchen light that had never been called in considering it was working just fine and now basically a short in the wiring that turns my T.V. off when ever the light switch is flipped not to mention to actually turn the light on you have to flip the switch several times. maintenance has to be called out once every couple of months to jiggle the hotwire that runs from the breaker to the refrigerator because it just stops working and management is to cheap to hire a real electrician to fix the wiring. there is a squirrel or some other large rodent that has decided to take up residency in my walls as well and I have been told that there is nothing that can be done about it since they cant get into the walls... Do NOT move in here unless you like the constant twang of a migraine caused by the incompetency your leasing agency and the 5 year olds they employ to manage it.

Ive been living in the farrington way apartments for 4years and it doesnt matter who or what type mangement we get its still horrible.for one theres never new people because they transfer people from one of there other properties they own (3rivers)thats also in columnbia.maintenance requests never are logged.you have to go the office everyday to issue resolve in your apt.half of the time they leave a mess in your apartment when they do come, nothings never there fault, they always have excuses instead of resolutions, these apartments are very old and the rent is not cheap for a single student.they are not loyal to there tenants only the police that lives out there gets treated fairly.the people in the office rents out to there friends and family.half of the time they never answer the in the office because they have caller id,its alot of brown straw leafves thats been a promblem since ive moved out there which causes a strange bugs to appear in apt or to fly in as soon as you open your front door, they used to have the pest people come spray your apt annually its been about 16-17months since they came ,the brown straw leafves gets stuck in gutters which has never clean since ive been living out here so when it rains expect a waterfall while using your key to get in the door because its leaks from the roof even when it stops raining it stills leaks. We need quality people in the office that cares about the folks who lives out here.

Great Spot! Great Room! Great Place!!
I have been here at the Farrington less than a year and I'm very pleased. My apartment has a gracious floor plan (which is much larger than most of its competition!). Maintenance are quick, professional, and reliable. The overall atmosphere of the neighborhood is that everyone keeps to his/herself, which I greatly appreciate. I have noticed that the Management team rarely answers the phone (always rings to the answering service), but they do return all calls and ....once you catch them, they are the sweetest people! My experience here so far has been wonderful!

Very low quality of living..........
Not only have I lived for more than half the summer with no AC, the very intelligent people are the cause of it. After supposedly repairing the roof, and cutting a wire to my AC Unit they wanted to know if I submitted a work order to have it repaired. My apartment is infested with spiders and huge bugs, that the pest controller has been spraying for since I've moved in. The office staff is very incompotent, and rude. The maintainence workers leave their packages from their snacks and their cigarette butts in your apartment while "fixing repairs". Not only are you responsible for keeping records of your "repair orders" you call in, you also have to take pictures of their neglectful habits before they even admit how slack they are. I was told my fuse box popping & sparking is not an emergency! If you are ready to spend as much in legal fees for representation to get you out of your lease agreement as you do in rent then this is a great place for you! THESE IS NOT A TENANT FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT AT ALL!

Discrimination
Ok, If your black, fed up with your landlord not fixing the things you have reported numerous of times and you go to speak to the manager, Connie ? and your voice rises you might get Richland County Police called on you. The manager there said she afraid of me, now I stand 5'3 and maybe 175 and she's 5'8 or so and maybe at the ? well that's some crazy stuff. I went in last week to voice again my problems to my home were I have reside for 2 1/2 years and have not given anyone any problems and now I am being evicted! Something personal I feel but Connie is trying to give other reason. Even if you're deseparate don't make the Farrington your home you'll regret it

No Maintenance...and violence
This apartment complex is more than 20 years old and the HVAC units have outlived their lives. They run 24/7 and burn a hole in your pocket when it comes to paying power bills. (I used to get avg of $110 for a single bedroom though i would keep the AC switched off when i go to work). The windows are not insulated and outside air easily leaks in. Repeated requests to fix them yielded no fruit. I did it myself finally. The apartment complex itself turns spooky at nights and no one ventures out after sunset. There was an incident of shooting (Domestic violence) and a stabbing during my 10 month stay. I had to plead them to return my security deposit and finally got it after 5 months only because the management changed and a new manager - Stephanie was kind enough to help me with my issue and returned my money immediately. Check the apartment that you rent properly before you rent it. Safety wise, maybe i was in during a bad time.

Great Place
Since I moved into my apartment in May of last year I have seen this place go from good to even better! They've repainted all the outside doors and replaced the mailboxes. They retarred the entire road and parking lots. The apartments are really big. I have a one bedroom and it's 850 sf with a HUGE walk in closet. I'm also on the first floor and I have a little back yard to hang out in. The management is great! They recognize me by name every time I walk in the door. They inform you a couple of days before they have to enter your apartment for maintenance. i was having trouble with my refridgerator when I first moved in and after trying to fix it once they replaced the whole thing!! The ONLY thing that I have to say is bad about this place is that over the summer my boyfriend's car got broken into. But that truly could happen anywhere....so don't think that this place is sketch. It's really great and I would recommend this to anyone who wants and nice place to live just a little bit out of town...
