Overall the complex has done an excellent job with the grounds as well as making new tenants feel welcomed. Majority of the other tenants keep to themselves, but are friendly when seen outside. I am just very thankful to have found such an affordable and comfortable place to live.

This is a nice quiet community. Sometimes the response to get things done like branches falling or drains not draining standing water take to long. Entering and exiting the complex during peak traffic hours can be a nightmare. The back entrance could be used, residents pay enough here, why not put a gate at this entrance that is usable. Overall I like this community, it is just a little too expensive, needs a little updating, but nice

Staff and maintenance are top-notch. The apartments themselves are large but in need of a little TLC. The floors are so, so squeaky and I can hear every move my upstairs neighbors make and I know my downstairs neighbors can hear me no matter how quiet I try to be. However there's a ton of storage space, lots of natural light, and the kitchen is really big. Lots of parking and the mail is convenient as well. I wouldn't bother with the laundry facility; however, the laundromat across the street is awesome, so just go there. Bugs are a problem in the summer. Expect a roach or two per week, not to mention the spiders! Twice now I've looked up from watching TV and seen a palmetto bug just walking across my ceiling. I think that they should have the pest company come at least once a month instead of quarterly as it is now, especially since there's already a monthly pest charge tacked onto the rent bill. The neighborhood is not great and I wouldn't go out after dark. I'm a single woman living by myself so this was something I worried about upon moving in and while I don't think this area is as bad as its reputation, it's still nothing to write off, so keep that in mind. Also traffic on Broad River Rd. is HORRIBLE around rush hour. From 7:30-8:30am, just forget it. And from 4-6pm, you're better off on a goat than in a car. It takes about 40 minutes to get from downtown Columbia to the apartment when it's really bad. This isn't the apartment's fault, but it is indicative of the area if you're moving here and I wished someone would have told me before I moved. The sewage charge tacked onto the rent every month keeps getting higher and higher, not sure what that's about. It's roughly $30, which is more than we paid when I lived in a private home, but I don't think it's a big enough hill to die on. Just keep the extra charges in mind, though -- they add up. For the most part the complex is very quiet with lots of families, though towards the back there are occasionally guests that will come in with the bass blaring in their cars in the evening. Also in the summer there were kids screaming bloody murder at the pool. Just small stuff that, while not the complex's fault per se, are indicative of what you can expect on the day-to-day here. However most residents in general keep to themselves and are quiet, friendly, and respectful. To be honest I am considering moving out of this part of Columbia when my lease is up due to some extra money coming my way, but if you are in this price range like I currently am, I sincerely think that the Farrington is the best place you can get in for the price. I was nowhere near as impressed with nearby apartments as I was with the Farrington and I'm glad I chose to move here.

Overall great experience. No major issues and maintenance is pretty quick, and we get 2 designated parking spots. Not far from Columbia high school. Library is walking distance away. Several places within 5 miles to buy food and other household idems. Internet speeds stink highest it will go is 100mbs for this area not the apt fault. Overall nice, no traffic noise when there is a football game you can hear the band from the high school does bother me though.

In the process of searching for a home, I became discouraged because of the state of the housing market in my price range. I reluctantly visited the Farrington where I meet Mrs. Jung. She assisted me in the process of finding a space I could call home. I have always wanted a space that I would not feel the need to vacation from... for now, this is the space. It is spacious (plenty of access to storage), its entrance feels secluded from the "City" life, and it's kempt.

The management staff is very much on top of things. Any maintenance issues (few they are) are handled quickly. When i moved to Columbia in 2015, this was my first choice and I'm so glad I did. I really is my home and the team makes sure you feel that way!

The staff at Farrington Apartments are very professional and pleasant. I really enjoyed living here. And would like to thank Leslie and her staff. I have no complaints. Living here has been a very pleasant experience.

Jo Anne Jung was a great host. She had such a beautiful personality, and she showed us everything we needed to see based on our preferences! She made the apartment hunt process smooth and enjoyable because of the way she explained and relayed all the information that we needed to know.

I loved using websites like because I could see all of the information that I needed (rent, community amenities, photos, floor plans, etc) and I did not have to go to a lot of other places to do so.

This is a quiet and peaceful community. I moved down here from New York and everyday I find something that I like more and more. The size of the apartment is incredible in this price range. My parents and I often joke that I could fit anything in the apartment, because there is so much space. The two women in the office, Leslie and Joanne, and some of the nicest people. They really made my move as smooth as possible and even suggested a few must see attractions for someone new to Columbia. I could spend an hour talking about their maintenance staff! Steve is incredible. Almost every time I put in a work order it is taken care of that same day. And if it's something they can't fix, they at least come to look at the issue and offer help. I found this community almost by accident and rented sight unseen, but I am so happy here. These people are so welcoming and the apartment quickly became a home.

There are no amenities at this apartment. There is a pool but the pool was closed the ENTIRE summer. The activity room has nothing for the community to do. The laundry room is always nasty and not enough washer and dryers

It has been pleasant..nice and quiet. The property is very maintained . Easy access to many nearby businesses. Like that the property is located away from the busy highway ..having a private patio and assigned parks are a plus.

So far, everything is nice and the community has been safe. The move in process was smooth. All of my concerns, although minor, were addressed immediately. The assigned parking is helpful and the management team is great!

I had to post this because I saw a negative review and I wanted to tell everyone how much I enjoyed living here. Everyone on the staff were always friendly and helpful. I wouldn't have left if I hadn't bought my house. GREAT place to live!

My experience was horrible, more like harassment about something new every month. I would not recommend to anyone. I was highly disappointed in the level of unprofessionalism. Staff portrays to be nice. Be careful

We feel safe and like we can raise our little family well. We like the pool and it's a nice quiet neighborhood right off of Broad River. It's close to many things, but still feels quiet and secure. We love the office staff and the maintenance staff. They are friendly, responsive and really their best to make this a nice place to live.

This community is Great! I took a tour of a 1 bedroom apartment and it had a lot of storage and even a fireplace! I saw the tennis court and the pool, which is really pretty. I met some of the staff and they were really nice. I plan to apply

The grounds are very nice, pool area is beautiful! Staff is friendly and professional. Apartment has lots of storage. Very close to I20 and I26. I saw the clubhouse and it has computers for the residents to use. Community was very quiet.

I love the quiet community. My neighbors are the nicest people - if they see you have a car problem, no issues with grabbing some cables and helping out (though the neighbor experience is wholly unique). Rachel and Leslie are lovely leasing ladies, and I couldn't ask for a better apartment manager than Leslie. The maintence staff is usually right on point when it comes to everything that can go wrong, even the night before Thanksgiving when your oven poops out while baking pies! Overall, I love living here and don't intend to move any time soon.
