Excellent complex, quiet and well maintained, friendly and professional staff. Great location just 1-1,5 mile from major shopping and business center. Just be careful when leasing with kids the wooden floors make noise even when walking.

The complex needs to be upgraded so you feel like it is what you market. New places will outpace this complex. It is totall necessary that you put in upgraded renovations into the apartments rather than cheap stuff that was put I like 3 days! The rules need to be enforced.

It is in a very good location, near lots of great spots to shop and eat. It is very peaceful, nice and I feel very safe. The pool is very nice, and like the gym as well! It has very good location to walk to locations around the area.

Alara Cool Springs Apartment has Energetic and courteous staff! The place is surrounded by trees and far enough from busy streets. Location is perfect for me, close to supermarkets, mall, cinema, restaurants and most importantly, school.

Overall this place has been fantastic. The location couldn't be better. I love the layout and appliances. The staff and management are quick to respond to issues. My only issue is the noise from the dog park in the early morning. Again though over all experience is wonderful.

I've been living at Farms at Cool Springs for 5 years and I STILL love it. Surprised by some of the negativity here. Ratings at Farms at Cool Springs have been high for a long time until recently it seems. Makes me wonder. Anyway, just like at other places, there are flaws, but overall, I'm happy here. I know there are some nice new complexes being built down the road but I think I will stay put because a community college is being built right at the SE corner of McEwen and Caruthers Pkwy. That area will become too congested and crowded with people coming in from all around the Nashville area. Love the hidden location of Farms at Cool Springs.

Very unprofessional staff. Maintenance people were never been on time and sometimes forget to do it at all. You need to call the office and remind several times. If you renew an apartment, the renewal lease says you get a remote for gate but they don't give a remote saying remotes are given only for new leases and the lease wording is not different for renewals vs new leases. If you need a Garage, you don't get it in same building even if there is one empty or used by maintenance (Because they want to fill unused Garages from building which are not used). Also, remotes for Garages looks like TV remote (Big in size is what i mean and not something like you can hang it to your car keys) and you need to carry that TV like remote all times as they don't provide a key to Garage door even if it has one.

I have two major complaints with this apartment complex: 1. There is nowhere for children to play, leaving them to play in parking lots. A child was hit by a car speeding through the lot just last Friday/taken by ambulance to the hospital and the community was never notified. Additionally, there are children who use the gym facilities on rainy days as an area to play organized activities. 2. The office staff is awful. It's probably just my pet peeve, but I can't put a lot of faith in someone who is unable to write at at least a sixth grade level. Notifications, flyers and responses to inquiries coming from this office are extremely hard to decipher and rarely address the actual question at hand. One final note: I have had the normal amount of service needs (mostly due to older appliances), and it consistently takes two visits from the maintenance staff to remedy a situation. Ironically, all of the situations I have dealt with have included water leaks of some sort and to my knowledge, the complex has not taken any steps to dry out/prevent future mold growth. Bottom line: there are tons of options for rental properties in this area. This may not be your worst option, but it certainly isn't your best.

I would recommend Alara Cool Springs to anyone looking to live in the Franklin area. The complex is well kept and I feel extremely safe living here. The people in office are super friendly and always take care of any issues I may have. I give the complex a thumbs up!

Nice location, terrible apartments and service. This is a noisy, crowded complex. Maintenance was not even as good as the reviews I read, which was actually a big selling point prior to coming here. The office staff will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to move in. You can hear people constantly going up and down the stairs, and moving around above. I truly believe there are comparable apartments nearby that offer better living and value. I honestly find reasons and activities to leave my apartment, because I can't relax when I'm here.

Horrible complex, look elsewhere! You hear all your neighbors and it is LOUD. It does not matter if you are on the top floor or the bottom floor, the noise is so loud. You can hear your neighbors sneeze, conversations, closing cabinet doors, walking across the floor. The floor shakes when the people below you walk across the floor. I understand that one needs to be tolerant living in a community environment, but this is beyond extreme! ------- and their awful food smells are horrible and the smell invades your apt everyday! This is not just a mild scent. The smell is so strong and gets distributed throughout your entire apt, every room! The smell is so strong in MY apt my eyes burn. They might as well be in my kitchen. THIS IS THE WORST APT I HAVE LIVED. Look elsewhere, save yourself and your sanity.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! I can't think of much that I was told on move in that's actually true! I've lived in many apartments ranging in amenities and this is the LOUDEST place I've ever lived. It's absolutely horrible. You can hear noise from every single direction. The office staff does not care at all about your experience. They have been unresponsive with any request or inquiry. I've had to report repairs several times in order to get any attention and some of still never been addressed. Problems don't fix themselves! The parking situation is terrible. The carpets are nasty. Moving to this complex has been miserable and I can't wait to leave. People say never to wish your life away, but I can't wait for this lease to be up!! Don't say you weren't warned.

I had been shopping around the area and Alara Cool Springs was my last stop for the day. As soon as I walked in the front door I was welcomed with open arms. The girls in the office were so friendly it was such a breath of fresh air to final visit a complex that treated me like a person and not a number. I ended up lease at Alara because I was treated so great! I defiantly would recommend this complex!

Plenty of good to say about this apartment, but there's certainly a few bad things to say, as well. Pay monthly pet rent which ideally should cover cost of bags at the dog stations located all over the complex. Unfortunately they're always empty leaving owners no choice but to leave their dogs droppings in the grass for you to step in. 3 pairs of shoes in three weeks-- I also leave my dogs droppings in the grass now. It's gross and absolutely ridiculous. You pay for valet trash service (required) which isn't a big deal, but when the trash is being picked up at 11:00pm and you and your children are asleep in bed only to be woke up by the trash people sprinting up and down the stairs, knocking over trash cans, making as much noise as humanly possible, that's when it becomes an issue. I understand they have an entire apartment complex worth of garbage they have to pick up as quick as possible, but it's even been as late as 11:30pm that I've been woke up by this. Doesn't go over well with me considering I have to be up at 5am. The business center is fantastic. Has a great printer/copier/scanner, great computers, coffee-- great setup. There are signs in there stating children are not to be left unattended. Every single day when the kids get off the bus it becomes full of children playing games on the computers, listening to music, no headphones, playing and screaming, and often times leaving no computers open for those who actually need to use it for BUSINESS. Very distracting and annoying especially considering management walks in and out while it's happening and doesn't say a word. Fitness center is extremely nice too. They have brand new equipment that's better than a lot of membership gyms. Same problem as the business center-- kids use it as a playground, often unsupervised, but even worse is when the parents are there and don't keep their kids under control. Someone is going to get hurt and by that point it will be too late for management to get it under control. Maintenance has been fantastic. Any problems we've had have been fixed usually within same day. I don't hear my neighbors through the walls. I do hear people's dogs but only as I'm walking outside of my apartment. I've never heard their dog while I'm actually in my own apartment. Neighbors all seem to be good people. Mostly a quiet community aside from what's already been mentioned. Seems to be DECENTLY insulated, could be better, but could definitely be worse. Poor lighting. Very poor lighting. We feel very safe. No bug problems. Only cable option is Comcast which is very unfortunate. Comcast services are absolutely terrible. Nice car wash. Nice pool and hot tub. And just want to touch base on this one more time-- dog stations and surrounding grounds are absolutely disgusting. Never clean or stocked with dog bags. Was an okay place until we got our new home, definitely had room for improvement.

I have lived in apartments for the past five years and have never before written a negative review. This is by far my worst experience. I moved in seven months ago as I was waiting to purchase a home. While the office staff is pleasant, they were either very slow or never responded to maintenance requests. These requests included broken doors, clogged commode (upon move in) and broken outlets. Smokers all around me prevented me from enjoying my porch. Dogs were constantly barking. I am tolerant but was so ready to move out of this location. Upon move out, they charged me for items including cleaning of a bathtub I never used and damages to drywall and I did not even hang one picture.. Document all damages very carefully upon move-in. I would not recommend this apartment complex to my friends.

The last three generic reviews posted were obviously written by the Alara staff in an attempt to attract new tenants to the community. If you are looking to lease at this complex, drive through the complex on the weekend and ask residents what they think about living here. The complex is 18 years old and the inside condition of the apartments may not reflect what you see from the outside.

I was shopping for a friend moving from out of state, and there are quite a few apartment choices in the area. When I walked into ALARA Cool Springs I knew that this was the place to be. The staff was very professional and extremely courteous. They have the best pool set up I've seen to include a hot tub, cabanas, outdoor grills, and fire pits! The fitness center has everything a person needs and more. The overall presentation of the property impressed me. If you are shopping for a great place to live you have got to go see the folks at ALARA Cool Springs!

I just moved in a week ago and I love it! My apartment faces the pool and I feel like I am on vacation every time I step foot on my patio. I can not speak for everyone else, but I had a very positive experience all the way around. The leasing people were super helpful and friendly and I could not have asked for a better place to live.

DO NOT RENT HERE! It is very over priced especially since brand new apartments are being built down the road and are pretty much the same price! The people in the office are rude and unhelpful! They have 'strict' rules about using the pool area yet there are people that play beer pong in the pool and are very drunk playing loud music and bring every friend that have to the pool. So the residents can't actually enjoy the pool area! The 'updated' apartments have cheap laminate. The office will come up with random reasons that they have to close the workout center. If you get an apartment that isn't updated, your appliances are 20 years old and don't work properly... But they'll claim that they do work and won't do anything about it! Our kitchen light went out and it took them 3 hours to come replace it... Therefore dinner had to be cooked by candlelight. However, when it comes time to renew your lease, they'll jack up the price 150$! They charge 20$/month for trash... Because they chose to have the trash picked up at our doors. It'd be 10$ a month if we were allowed to take the trash to the dumpster ourselves. They expect everyone to have Facebook because that's where they put their announcements! They closed down the pool to resurface it... In the middle of the summer! These are just a few issues we've had while living here! I'd suggest going to one of the brand new apartments and getting something worth your money!

BEST APARTMENTS IN FRANKLIN AND NASHVILLE!!!! I have lived here for 8 years and absolutely LOVE it. I could write a book about why I love living here. First, the management office is the BEST! Skip and Michelle and the maintenance crew are all so kind and eager to help. It is a pleasure doing business with them. If something breaks, they fix it immediately. The maintenance men are so sweet and I trust them completely. Most of them have been working here for years because they love working here. The management office takes very good care of me as if I were family. The apartments are quality built and so nice. I truly never ever hear my neighbors. I forget I even have neighbors. I feel like I'm living in a home. I have my own business and work from home and living in a quiet neighborhood is important to me. I have never seen a bug in my apartment other than a couple of beetles that came from outside. I've heard horror stories of bugs in other apartments. Not here! I did have a problem with ants a few years ago and they figured out they were coming in thru the frame around my kitchen window. So, they ripped out the entire window to fix the problem and gave me a half-month's credit on my rent for the inconvenience. I never asked for that and it was a much appreciated surprise! Living here is like living in a resort. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. The pool is fabulous. The fitness center is great! I had a gym membership before I moved here. I canceled it. My utility bills are low. The location is convenient to everything. I truly have no complaints. I just renewed my lease for another year. In the 8 years that I've been living here, my rent has only been increased $200. I have read where other complexes increase rent $200 or more a YEAR. Not here! I can't recommend living here enough. You will LOVE it.
