I love it here. I had the worst time finding an apartment that would accept my dogs. They are about 80 lbs and no one would take them but the Park. I have been here for almost a year and I love it! The office staff is always nice and friendly and I never hear my neighbors. I did have a few spiders the first month, but I called and the bug guy came out and treated. I had a cabinet door come off and they were out the next day to fix it. The grounds are always beautiful and well kept. The only complaint I have is the trash compactor, maybe it could be emptied a couple more times a week. Some people just get angry cause they can't pay rent and complain because I've never seen any issues like the one's people are complaining of.

I love Park at Hermitage!!
I have loved living at the Park. My apartment was nice and clean when I moved in and I have only had a few minor maintanence issues which were taken care of promptly. The office staff has been only nice and helpful despite what the other reviews say. Gigi is amazing!! Work with her if you can. The parking lot is well lit and I have RARELY had to search for a free parking spot. Most nights there are at least 3 or 4 open spots right outside my door. I have seen one bug since moving in but I called the office and they had pest control out the very next day. All you have to do is ask. My neighbors are nice and quiet and I've never had any issues with weird tenants or workers. This was hands down the best deal money-wise in the Hermitage area for someone living without roommates. I love their studio apartments- just perfect for one person! I love the Park!!

Good Renters gone bad
Me and my wife have lived at the Park for 2 years and just recently moved out. We cleaned and left it in very good condition only to find out on our walk through that it didn't matter. The manager left us speechless after telling us all the fees that were going to be charged. It's nearly $1,000!!! I am not sure how we will be able to afford to pay this and if you are thinking of moving here; please take my advice and stay away. We never were late on a payment and were good tenants, but none of this was taken into consideration. I feel like I've been drug over the coals...urghhhh

WORST PLACE EVER, NOT SAFE
DO NOT rent from this place. The staff is not helpful, they don't want to assist you. They are generally a pain to deal with. They will cheat you out of everything and all your money. There is no cameras in the parking lot. There is a guy that drives around in a green truck doing "work" around the park, he is very strange and seems to be watching all the time. Seems like a stalker. "Security" sucks, hardly is around and when they are they sit somewhere reading a magazine. That is not doing your job. The Park does not make you feel safe. They expect you to rent from them, but yet they want to provide you with a safe apartment. Parking is a total nightmare. Somedays cars have to park in the grass. Noise is a serious issue. Neighbors are rude, loud, and don't give a care in the world. We pay for pest control, but have not yet seen a truck out to spray anything. No wonder why bugs are always crawling in the floors and on the walls. Maintence is lazy and don't have proper knowledge. The on site laundry units are un secure. The doorā¦Ā See More>anonymous

DISGUSTING!!
When you first go in to sign your lease they are nice, caring, wonderful people... after you move in beware. I was there for only 2 weeks before I saw roaches crawling on the walls in my kitchen!! I have never seen a roach anywhere that I have lived. They half way cleaned the place before I moved in and the appliances are disgusting. When I first saw the roaches I went to the office where I was told, "Are they really big? Those aren't roaches, those are water bugs." First of all... if you google "water bugs" it's another name for the American Cockroach. Soon after seeing roaches I began to have spiders crawling across my floor (and I am terrified of spiders, centipede's running across the walls in my living room, beetles crawling out from under my couch, and last but not least termite mug falling on to the window frame. I made requests to have my apartment sprayes twice a month, but it never helped. Within the past 2 1/2 weeks I have been fighting with them over the mold problem in my apartment. Aparently the apartment accross from and above mine had a water leak fromā¦Ā See More>Justforyoupark11

Pretentious staff! Trashy neighbors! Roach hotel!
Five reasons why you should never live at the park! 1. Roaches, spiders, rats, centipedes, earwigs, and ants. Btw you pay for pest control every month but they never come. 2. Office staff is rude, hateful, pretentious, stuck up, and no matter what it is they never solve the issue requested. They glare at residents, lie all the te about pointless thing. They act nice at first when signing your lease but.. After that just awful. 3. Maintenance have no clue what they are doing, they walk in your apartment all the time to be nosey, they never fixed the problem the first time. I've always watched them getto rig things until they break again. Also they are rude just like the office staff. 4. LOUD everything! Neighbors, cars, the 6 -------- with a baby next door ( one bedroom), the yard care service is loud at 6am blowing leaf blower and talking. Note: the windows are so cheap you can hear practically everything that goes on. 5. The pool doesnt open until after labor day for maybe a month if that, it's also nothing you want to jump in everytime my friends and I got in it we haveā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Not the greatest
Just as I began to write this review I look down to see a huge roach crawling in front of the couch. Bugs are horrible here, from spiders crawling everywhere thru out the kitchen, on walls, to nasty bugs and roaches comong out of the bath tub while trying to shower. also there are bugs that come out fron underneat the carpet. The hot water in the shower lasts about 2 mins max. The dude that lives above me makes the most noise ever! Not safe at all, a girl behind me got her sliding glass door broken in too. I think this complex needs a serious urgrade with all the pro rates they want us to pay with. Door locks are not secure at all. Pet rates are so expensive! Loud music from cars in the middle of the night. I have never seen a sercurity patrol car drive by once as stated from the leasing office that he would drive by several times a night

Beware.
To Whom It May Concern: We're moving! We re fortunate enough to have the funds and means to get the hell out of The Park at Hermitage (The Park). I fear many families and people are not so lucky once they re suckered into moving here. They either suffer the business practices of The Park, because they can t afford to move, or, they end up homeless for not being able to afford a 20% increase in their rent. They are potentially ruining lives and, more than likely, putting some families out in the street. Disgusting! I am so displeased with The Park that this is my second negative letter. I will be sending a copy to The Park staff, MAAC Corporate, the Better Business Bureau and the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA). I don't know whether it's the staff here at The Park, MAAC in general, or, all of the above, but the business practices here at The Park are deplorable. The mode of operation for The Park is to get the maximum amount of money out the residents without a single shred of concern for their wellbeing and peace of mind. The entire staff and company should beā¦Ā See More>anonymous

get out while you can.
our air conditioning was out for a week before they came to fix it. it was around or above 90. every day we called and every day they said that it was fixed. it took a week to get it fixed. we couldn't stay in the apartment it was so hot. they charge you for cable, 40 dollars, even if you don't want it. so get used to that. when it was winter they didn't salt our stairs for a good few days. it was very icy and dangerous. recently the light in the parking lot went out. it was by the stairs and it was very dangerous. as far as i know its still out. we recently got out (thank god) but the extra charges for 'damages' are insane. there were bugs in the apartment a lot, even though we got it sprayed. bugs in the shower too. there were also mice. our cat caught them luckily. we could hear our neighbor peeing, and their dogs barking. the best part was when we finally got out, they wanted us to recommend it to our friends. i wouldn't even recommend it to people i don't like.

IF YOU ARE TRASHY AND LOW CLASS, YOU WILL FIT RIGHT IN!!!!!!!!!!!
Im not looking for perfection, but this place is RIDICULOUS!! First off, the apartments are barely maintained...pest control that you are charged for ON TOP of rent every month is non existent. THe way this community charges their renters is so stupid. You pay a base rent. Then they charge you for trash, water, sewage, pest control and CABLE on top of you base rent. As a new Comcast customer you can get a ton of specials ranging anywhere from 19-30 a month, however, this complex REQUIRES you to pay their package deal every month, whether you use cable or not ($45 extra dollars)....how ridiculous is that?!?!?!? In all, you can add $100 extra dollars to whatever "rent" they quote you for all the mandatory BS add ons....to me, that is RENT when its REQUIRED to pay for it. The grounds are disgusting and minimally maintained, mostly around the office for new unsuspecting prospective renters. The office staff is far below par and I wont even start on how unprofessional the property manager is. Ive lived all over the world and this complex stands out by far as one of the most untruthful, minipulating and lieing staff Ive ever witnessedā¦Ā See More>tornadofreek1

Great Place to Live!
All these problems that people have listed have been fixed or don't happen anymore.. The maintence staff are very friendly, and will show up very promtly if there is any problems.. The whole neighborhood is very safe and secure, lots of lighting, and people are very friendly here also.. Office staff are VERY friendly.. All around VERY worth every penny I have paid for living here, I have lived in apartments for a while and this is at the top of my list!

Nice Complex
I have lived at the Park for 3 years now and I have pretty much loved every minute of it. I never really have to complain about much. Its very quiet, I am a single young lady and I have never felt unsafe. If I had a maintenance issue, it was normally fixed within a day or so, and if its important, the same night. There was an issue with my air conditioner and maintenance did not get it quite right the first time, but the office manager made it his business to come to my apartment himself and followed up within a few hours to ensure it was fixed! I do not have many complaints. I went from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom and was not charged a transfer fee as previously stated. Before I purchased my washer and dryer, I never had any issues with the laundry room. Amanda, Trina and Gail are all nice and very understanding and welcoming. The apartments could stand to do minor upgrades to faucets and light fixtures for a subtle touch, but for as old as the complex is, it is VERY wellā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Trashy
I moved here in 2007. My rent has increased every year. The office staff is all extremely rude, excluding one person. The air conditioning goes out the first time I use it every summer, and is never fixed the same day I report it. Every time a neighbor moves out, the one that moves in is trashier and trashier. The speed bumps every 10 ft are ridiculous. You practically have to come to a stop before easing over them or you will mess up your car. But, the thing that topped it off, they boast that tanning beds are provided in the workout room, but they do not provide cleaner. When I emailed the managemnt, I got no response. When I finally got home from work one day early enough to catch them open and asked about it, they told me they no longer provide cleaner, because people were urinating in the cleaner bottles. When asked why they didn't notify people that you would need to provide your own cleaner, they said that it wasn't the kind of thing the want to advertise. Like I said, just gets trashier and trashier.

Not satisfied, want to move!
I have lived here for 9 months and I am not happy. I cannot wait until my lease is over! Every couple months they loose my rent check and post a nasty letter on my door threatening legal action. Then I have to take time out of MY day to deal with the ingnorant people at the office and when I call to tell them that I already paid the rent IN FULL, ON TIME like every other month, they tell me that they don't have it and that I have to pay the late fees. When I call back and speak to someone more competent like Anna the manager, she always tells me they found it or there was a misunderstanding. This has happened 4 times since I have been here!! It may look like the best deal but it's not I wish I would have done more research and read reviews! Pet fees are insane, transfer fees are as well even for UPGRADING. One more thing (that i have time to explain) the laundry buildings...they put in new washers and they are TINY, and cost the same. So if you do laundry in the apartment buildings plan onā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Armed Robbery: Not safe
I moved in few months ago. I got mugged in the parking lot by two people who came with a gun and ran away in their car. I feel terrified after this experience. What happened could happen again and with anyone. It is not a gated community and management is not interested in taking any safety measure like installing gates and putting on Video cameras on gates. I want to get out of here.

Satisfied Tenant
We moved to the complex July 2009 upon relocation from out of state. We knew very little about the area and basically did our apartment search online. We had only 1 weekend to view and select an apartment. When we read the posted reviews, we were not interested in viewing these apartments, but I must admit, you can not believe everything you read. The grounds were quite impressive, the apartment was neat and clean and showed quite well, and the layout of the 2 bedroom was just what we were looking for. The staff was quite accomodating in working out the leasing and move-in date to coincide with our move to TN. We had so many questions about the area and everyone in the leasing office, as well as the maintenance staff, were extremely helpful. Whenever we have a service request, the maintenance staff is very prompt. For the most part, the neighbors are respectful and quiet. The only thing I have observed is pet owners do not clean up after their pets. The grounds are beautiful and I wish the pet owners would respect that and do their part to maintain the area. An o.k. place
The staff were nice and the grounds were well-kept but DON'T STAY IN APT. 1616. I would turn on the bath and/or shower head and a large amount of black, nasty, oily soot would come out almost every time and get all over the bathtub. Before i got ready i would have to use comet and a brillo pad on most mornings. Then I would have to let the shower run awhile. I was still nervous that it was getting on me while taking a shower. I told the office for 5 years and they did'nt fix it. Maybe it wasn't in their budget to rip out the wall and put in new pipes. I just dealt with it because I didn't know where else to move. I also had brown recluses in the water heater closet that would come out at night and go get a drink in the bathtub or bathroom sink. They only came out in the warmer months and I would get a break from them in the winter when they hibernated. I caught nearly 200 on sticky traps and jars to prove what I hadā¦Ā See More>anonymous

I do not recommend
The Park seemed okay upon moving in, however we didn't know that except for the woman who set up our lease (who isn't there any more), the whole staff is very rude, pretentious, and unreasonable. They are not worth dealing with. Also: -On our scheduled move in day, our apartment was so filthy we couldn't move in, even though we had taken off of work to do so. Not only that, but the cleaning staff's cleaning checklist was left in the apartment, half done. Very unprofessional. -My fiance's roommate was in the "workout room" one day, and the ceiling fell down on her. No official apology, no offer for assistance of any kind. -Speaking of the "workout room," it is just a random room, obviously not designed to be workout space, that they put some treadmills and a weight machine in. -They wanted to charge $25 to replace a key to said workout room. This would be understandable if the key was hard to reproduce, as some are. I borrowed someone else's and copied it at Wal-Mart for $1.50. The rest of their cleaning/replacement charges are equally outrageous. -When we moved out, the apartment looked much better than when we were supposed to move in.ā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Dont waste your money.
You will not be happy here. Too high rent, outrageous pet fees, very very very very poor maintenance and staff is just horrible people. The place is supposed to have so many amenities but NOTHING works. Everything is broken and they don't repair anything. The gym is a joke, forget the carwash, the pond is infested and disgusting, the playground should be condemned, and yet they have the gall to charge so much rent. It might not be the worst, but I sure don't want to see anything worse than this.

OMIGOD....are you serious???
Upon moving in I was told there was a 24 Gym, tanning beds, carwash, and a playground. First off the apartment was infested. The spraying done by the pest control did nothing. The staff are a bunch of stuck up, ------, rude, amazingly ugly people. Just not a team fit to run a vending route let alone a property. God!!! Well the Gym has 8 cardio machines and ALL are broken but two. The weight machine is all tore up. There are two taning beds, but one is broken, the other is filthy. The carwash??? Its just a water hose and a vacuum (but the vacuum hose is broken.)...oh and the playground is disgusting I wouldn't let a dog play there let alone precious children. Filty, rusty, and scary. This is a nightmare of a place to live. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. All I can say is TAKE YOUR TIME and find something better....it won't be hard to do.

Dont do it... here is why..
The rent is not bad.. but they are not clean. it took 3 days for them to fix our air. it broke twice within living there 7 months. One good thing about this place is they allow bigs dogs.. BUT your pet fee covers nothing. so if one thing is damaged. you will pay for it. Even though the rent is cheap when you move out you will pay for any holes in the wall you used to hang things. 15 dollars a hole!!! so if you move here dont bring a pet. dont hang things and be prepared to fix your own toilet and ac. oh and the people here are rude and short! pay little more somwhere cleaner, with nicer people and you dont end up paying hundreds of dollars for minor things! please trust me! -horrible, annoying, back to back speed bumps. -pool was closed half the summer. -slow maintence -rude staff -pointless costs!!!

Pretty Good
Not a bad place to live. A little outdated, but better than most in Nashville. The staff is pretty nice. Of course youll always have the one with the stick up their butt. But theyre overall nice. Nice property. Well taken care of. Fairly quiet community. Overall i enjoy living here. I would love to stay, but we need something bigger.

Very Bad Choice
We should have known this was going to be a bad choice right from the start, when we went to sign the lease, somehow the price had jumped $15 a month from what we were told when we did the applications, and of course no one was there we could discuss it with so if we wanted the apartment we had to either take it or leave it. The maintenance staff did a great job of responding to problems and correcting them, that is when the office staff actually put in the request for you. Appliances were old and didn't work very well, took most of our time there to get the refrigerator replaced which froze everything or was too warm, your choice just by touching the control knob. Never got the problems with the oven taken care of and the dishwasher was as effective as setting your dirty dishes out in the drizzle. The apartment was filthy when we moved in, even though we were promised on the showing that it would be all cleaned up before we did move in, the staff tried to blame work men, but I don't believe work men are going to hang cobwebs in theā¦Ā See More>Edwards
