IF YOU ARE TRASHY AND LOW CLASS, YOU WILL FIT RIGHT IN!!!!!!!!!!!

Im not looking for perfection, but this place is RIDICULOUS!! First off, the apartments are barely maintained...pest control that you are charged for ON TOP of rent every month is non existent. THe way this community charges their renters is so stupid. You pay a base rent. Then they charge you for trash, water, sewage, pest control and CABLE on top of you base rent. As a new Comcast customer you can get a ton of specials ranging anywhere from 19-30 a month, however, this complex REQUIRES you to pay their package deal every month, whether you use cable or not ($45 extra dollars)....how ridiculous is that?!?!?!? In all, you can add $100 extra dollars to whatever "rent" they quote you for all the mandatory BS add ons....to me, that is RENT when its REQUIRED to pay for it. The grounds are disgusting and minimally maintained, mostly around the office for new unsuspecting prospective renters. The office staff is far below par and I wont even start on how unprofessional the property manager is. Ive lived all over the world and this complex stands out by far as one of the most untruthful, minipulating and lieing staff Ive ever witnessed and the complex itself is not worth the money by any stretch of the imagination. If you have any bit of common sense, you will read these reviews and run in the other direction. THeir deposit "options" are about as funny as their "add ons"...huge waste of time. Their staff needs to be replaced with people that can at least ACT like they give 2 cents what happens to their residents.

    Great Place to Live!

All these problems that people have listed have been fixed or don't happen anymore.. The maintence staff are very friendly, and will show up very promtly if there is any problems.. The whole neighborhood is very safe and secure, lots of lighting, and people are very friendly here also.. Office staff are VERY friendly.. All around VERY worth every penny I have paid for living here, I have lived in apartments for a while and this is at the top of my list!

      Nice Complex

I have lived at the Park for 3 years now and I have pretty much loved every minute of it. I never really have to complain about much. Its very quiet, I am a single young lady and I have never felt unsafe. If I had a maintenance issue, it was normally fixed within a day or so, and if its important, the same night. There was an issue with my air conditioner and maintenance did not get it quite right the first time, but the office manager made it his business to come to my apartment himself and followed up within a few hours to ensure it was fixed! I do not have many complaints. I went from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom and was not charged a transfer fee as previously stated. Before I purchased my washer and dryer, I never had any issues with the laundry room. Amanda, Trina and Gail are all nice and very understanding and welcoming. The apartments could stand to do minor upgrades to faucets and light fixtures for a subtle touch, but for as old as the complex is, it is VERY well kept, and the grounds are ALWAYS beautiful. I have searched for apartments before, just to have a different scenery and I always end up back at the Park and as picky as I am, that says a lot! Courtney N.

        Trashy

I moved here in 2007. My rent has increased every year. The office staff is all extremely rude, excluding one person. The air conditioning goes out the first time I use it every summer, and is never fixed the same day I report it. Every time a neighbor moves out, the one that moves in is trashier and trashier. The speed bumps every 10 ft are ridiculous. You practically have to come to a stop before easing over them or you will mess up your car. But, the thing that topped it off, they boast that tanning beds are provided in the workout room, but they do not provide cleaner. When I emailed the managemnt, I got no response. When I finally got home from work one day early enough to catch them open and asked about it, they told me they no longer provide cleaner, because people were urinating in the cleaner bottles. When asked why they didn't notify people that you would need to provide your own cleaner, they said that it wasn't the kind of thing the want to advertise. Like I said, just gets trashier and trashier.

          Not satisfied, want to move!

I have lived here for 9 months and I am not happy. I cannot wait until my lease is over! Every couple months they loose my rent check and post a nasty letter on my door threatening legal action. Then I have to take time out of MY day to deal with the ingnorant people at the office and when I call to tell them that I already paid the rent IN FULL, ON TIME like every other month, they tell me that they don't have it and that I have to pay the late fees. When I call back and speak to someone more competent like Anna the manager, she always tells me they found it or there was a misunderstanding. This has happened 4 times since I have been here!! It may look like the best deal but it's not I wish I would have done more research and read reviews! Pet fees are insane, transfer fees are as well even for UPGRADING. One more thing (that i have time to explain) the laundry buildings...they put in new washers and they are TINY, and cost the same. So if you do laundry in the apartment buildings plan on spending alot of money. You can find a better place than this around here, with nicer, more professional people and with a better prices.

            Armed Robbery: Not safe

I moved in few months ago. I got mugged in the parking lot by two people who came with a gun and ran away in their car. I feel terrified after this experience. What happened could happen again and with anyone. It is not a gated community and management is not interested in taking any safety measure like installing gates and putting on Video cameras on gates. I want to get out of here.

              Satisfied Tenant

We moved to the complex July 2009 upon relocation from out of state. We knew very little about the area and basically did our apartment search online. We had only 1 weekend to view and select an apartment. When we read the posted reviews, we were not interested in viewing these apartments, but I must admit, you can not believe everything you read. The grounds were quite impressive, the apartment was neat and clean and showed quite well, and the layout of the 2 bedroom was just what we were looking for. The staff was quite accomodating in working out the leasing and move-in date to coincide with our move to TN. We had so many questions about the area and everyone in the leasing office, as well as the maintenance staff, were extremely helpful. Whenever we have a service request, the maintenance staff is very prompt. For the most part, the neighbors are respectful and quiet. The only thing I have observed is pet owners do not clean up after their pets. The grounds are beautiful and I wish the pet owners would respect that and do their part to maintain the area. Everyone is not a "pet lover". We are very satisfied and plan to renew our lease for another year.

                An o.k. place

The staff were nice and the grounds were well-kept but DON'T STAY IN APT. 1616. I would turn on the bath and/or shower head and a large amount of black, nasty, oily soot would come out almost every time and get all over the bathtub. Before i got ready i would have to use comet and a brillo pad on most mornings. Then I would have to let the shower run awhile. I was still nervous that it was getting on me while taking a shower. I told the office for 5 years and they did'nt fix it. Maybe it wasn't in their budget to rip out the wall and put in new pipes. I just dealt with it because I didn't know where else to move. I also had brown recluses in the water heater closet that would come out at night and go get a drink in the bathtub or bathroom sink. They only came out in the warmer months and I would get a break from them in the winter when they hibernated. I caught nearly 200 on sticky traps and jars to prove what I had and get second opinions. The pest control they sent did not work. They told me everyone thinks they have those, but all you have to do is pull up pictures on the internet and compare. A bite is deadly. I would live there again, but I would get a different apartment way away from 1616. It might as well been 6666. I would also only rent again when there is a huge special, because rent got outrageous for the tiny 1 bedroom i had. They need to cap it off at a certain amount and be competitive.

                  I do not recommend

The Park seemed okay upon moving in, however we didn't know that except for the woman who set up our lease (who isn't there any more), the whole staff is very rude, pretentious, and unreasonable. They are not worth dealing with. Also: -On our scheduled move in day, our apartment was so filthy we couldn't move in, even though we had taken off of work to do so. Not only that, but the cleaning staff's cleaning checklist was left in the apartment, half done. Very unprofessional. -My fiance's roommate was in the "workout room" one day, and the ceiling fell down on her. No official apology, no offer for assistance of any kind. -Speaking of the "workout room," it is just a random room, obviously not designed to be workout space, that they put some treadmills and a weight machine in. -They wanted to charge $25 to replace a key to said workout room. This would be understandable if the key was hard to reproduce, as some are. I borrowed someone else's and copied it at Wal-Mart for $1.50. The rest of their cleaning/replacement charges are equally outrageous. -When we moved out, the apartment looked much better than when we were supposed to move in. However, they managed to find enough worn spots on the carpet to charge nearly an additional month's rent to replace carpet in the entire apartment. A request for pictures of the damage went ignored. I do not recommend living at the Park. In fact, I would actively recommend NOT living here.

                    Dont waste your money.

You will not be happy here. Too high rent, outrageous pet fees, very very very very poor maintenance and staff is just horrible people. The place is supposed to have so many amenities but NOTHING works. Everything is broken and they don't repair anything. The gym is a joke, forget the carwash, the pond is infested and disgusting, the playground should be condemned, and yet they have the gall to charge so much rent. It might not be the worst, but I sure don't want to see anything worse than this.

                      OMIGOD....are you serious???

Upon moving in I was told there was a 24 Gym, tanning beds, carwash, and a playground. First off the apartment was infested. The spraying done by the pest control did nothing. The staff are a bunch of stuck up, ------, rude, amazingly ugly people. Just not a team fit to run a vending route let alone a property. God!!! Well the Gym has 8 cardio machines and ALL are broken but two. The weight machine is all tore up. There are two taning beds, but one is broken, the other is filthy. The carwash??? Its just a water hose and a vacuum (but the vacuum hose is broken.)...oh and the playground is disgusting I wouldn't let a dog play there let alone precious children. Filty, rusty, and scary. This is a nightmare of a place to live. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. All I can say is TAKE YOUR TIME and find something better....it won't be hard to do.

Dont do it... here is why..

The rent is not bad.. but they are not clean. it took 3 days for them to fix our air. it broke twice within living there 7 months. One good thing about this place is they allow bigs dogs.. BUT your pet fee covers nothing. so if one thing is damaged. you will pay for it. Even though the rent is cheap when you move out you will pay for any holes in the wall you used to hang things. 15 dollars a hole!!! so if you move here dont bring a pet. dont hang things and be prepared to fix your own toilet and ac. oh and the people here are rude and short! pay little more somwhere cleaner, with nicer people and you dont end up paying hundreds of dollars for minor things! please trust me! -horrible, annoying, back to back speed bumps. -pool was closed half the summer. -slow maintence -rude staff -pointless costs!!!

Not a bad place to live. A little outdated, but better than most in Nashville. The staff is pretty nice. Of course youll always have the one with the stick up their butt. But theyre overall nice. Nice property. Well taken care of. Fairly quiet community. Overall i enjoy living here. I would love to stay, but we need something bigger.

                            Very Bad Choice

We should have known this was going to be a bad choice right from the start, when we went to sign the lease, somehow the price had jumped $15 a month from what we were told when we did the applications, and of course no one was there we could discuss it with so if we wanted the apartment we had to either take it or leave it. The maintenance staff did a great job of responding to problems and correcting them, that is when the office staff actually put in the request for you. Appliances were old and didn't work very well, took most of our time there to get the refrigerator replaced which froze everything or was too warm, your choice just by touching the control knob. Never got the problems with the oven taken care of and the dishwasher was as effective as setting your dirty dishes out in the drizzle. The apartment was filthy when we moved in, even though we were promised on the showing that it would be all cleaned up before we did move in, the staff tried to blame work men, but I don't believe work men are going to hang cobwebs in the corners and leave burnt on food in the oven and on the stove as well as food bits in the cupboards. Tried to contact the regional manager several times only to get an answering machine and no call back, tried to contact the corporate office several times only to get transferred to a line to leave a message and again no call back. The manager of the Park did try to help with some of the issues we were having, finally after I called very very upset and demanded a meeting with her, but it was way to little way to late. We were all to happy that we had only taken a short term lease and moving day couldn't come fast enough!! There is lots more I could tell you about having to have flooring replaced several times and other nightmares, but I think you get the idea!

If you want broken AC all the time, this is the place for you!

I have lived at these apts for almost three years. The first year here I was happy with it. Every year after, I have major problems with my air conditioner. And you need to have working air conditioning in TN summers. The first year, I told them my air conditioner just wasn't cooling. Their answer to me was that it's just really hot outside and my AC is having to work really hard to keep it cool. I just kind of accepted it and stayed pretty warm for the most part. Last year, I told them the same thing. Then I brought up the fact that I live in an upstairs one bedroom apt and pay at least $150 in electric, when I have friends here in the same complex that have two bedroom apts with much cooler apts and half the electric bill. On a Friday evening, my air conditioner started blowing out hot air. Maintenance came out and tried to fix it, but because it was the weekend, they couldn't get any new parts. Turned out I needed a whole new unit, and that wasn't replaced until the following Tuesday. I went five days in 105 degree heat with no air conditioning! Once the unit was replaced, it worked fine the rest of the summer and my electric bill went way down. Now this year, I turn my AC on again for the first time, and it is blowing out lukewarm air. Of course, it was on a weekend again. Monday they came and fixed it. I came home to a freezing apt and turned it off because I wanted to use my windows. I just wanted to know that I had a working air conditioner before it gets too hot. So yesterday, another Friday, I turn it on, and again it is lukewarm air. Maintenance comes out and tells me ants got in my unit but they've got it fixed. It worked great until I woke up at 5am this morning so hot because my AC had quit again. They need to be calling out a professional to work on it, instead of their maintenance guy. I'll be moving out of these apts at the end of summer, but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I was also told that rent would never go up more than 4% each time I resigned my lease. They wait until it's too late to give your notice before telling you how much your rent is going up. Mine went up about 7%. It went from $571 to $610.

I was pleased with the complex.

I originally moved here with my girlfriend. I liked the location because of its convenience to the freeway and proximity to Nashville metro area (15 minutes to downtown without traffic.) My girlfriend liked how close it was to grocery stores and restaurants (up the street on Old Hickory.)

The apartment was very spacious at 800 sq. feet and in good condition. I had been a little hesitant after reading some reviews of the place but we worked with Lauren in the office and she was very sweet and understanding. There was an initial holdup with our move-in that wasn't the fault of the office staff and they were sympathetic to our needs, even offering to let us stay in a furnished residence until we were OK'd by their company.

Our apartment was in the 1500 bldg, which was convenient to parking, the office/pool, and mailboxes. Parking was never a problem. At very worst, when I come back late at night, I couldnt park directly in front of the apartment. It was slightly dissappointing to have the pool close after labor day despite the fact that there were several gorgeous days in the following weeks.

The only noise that was a problem was the upstairs neighbors doing odd tasks like drilling or vacuuming at midnight or later, but nothing that warrented reporting it. It was kinda noisy when they were walking around the apartment as well, but I never had an issue with neighbors adjacent to us.

I never really had an issue with bugs even though they were there, but that is to be expected given the natural habitat that surrounds the area. Some crickets and waterbugs were able to get into the apartment underneath the doors but there were never any roaches or rodents.

All in all, the apartment was well maintained. I never had to call the maintenace staff for anything but they were nice when I ran into them around the complex.

The one thing that sucked was when I broke the lease, which I knew I would have to do because of my job, they do knock you pretty good for it. However, all that was disclosed in the lease and I was able to prepare for it. They were willing to wave the extra fees if I signed a lease with another one of their properties where I was moving to, but there weren't any convenient to the area I was looking.

My overall opinion of the place is that it was enjoyable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the apartments to someone looking for a quiet convenient location outside of Nashville.

During my stay at The Park, I didn't have too much to complain about. The management was nice, maintainance was always done in a timely manner and my neighbors weren't noisy. The only objection that I had was the DATED model/style of the apartments. They have popcorn ceilings, 1980's appliances, dingy capeting and the cabinetry is horrible. If you're looking for an updated apartment, this is not the place for you. If you decide to live here, please be sure to look around before signing and make sure your apt insn't a long way from the parking lot. Also, don't let them rush you into signing the lease.

It was just OK and I will leave it at that!!!

I lived here for a total of three years. They were just as nice to me as ever when I first toured the place and treated me like royalty. The part I liked is they showed me the actual apartment that I would get if I signed that day. They also had a business center that they showed me at the time that I was touring the place with a computer, phone, and a fax machine which came in great for the job that I had at the time; However this was taken out to make it into someone's office which I learned to deal with because they did offer to me anytime I still needed to use a fax machine that they would be more than happily to allow me to do so. The apartment that I got was right by the road which the traffic was horrible until you get used to it. But I learned to deal with that, that just takes a little getting used to. When I first moved in the dishwasher dumped water all in the floor of the kitchen twice and when I told them about it they were just like ok whatever and NO I did not use dish soap like an idiot, I used Cascade dishwasher powder. This stained the floor with a horrible yellow stain on the floor that would not come up for anything in the world and I asked them to please replace the floor in the kitchen and they said it was not in their budget to make that kind of a repair. I also asked them to replace the bottom wooden portion under the sink in the cabinet in the kitchen because the wood was black, molded, and rotten and was not level at all. So most of what you put in there would not stand up straight, and again they said it was not in their budget to make that kind of a repair. Over the 36 month span living there I had a bad roach problem and that did immediately get taken care of. However I had a bad mouse problem that never really got taken care of. They did place some type of metal trap boxes around the building outside of my apartments but that never helped me. Toward the last year that I lived there I personally disposed of 14 mice total, and no this is no exaggeration. I made sure to keep an accurate count of this number. I told them over and over about the mouse problem and they still failed me on this one and could not come up with a resolution. The workout room was great; however they did have two tanning beds which were awesome when they were working. At least one bed most of the time had bulbs that needed to be replaced or one of the two beds were always out of order. One tanning bed had actually began smoking and had a SMALL fire with someone in it once. I know this for a fact because I saw the damage to the one on the right when you walk in and also while working out in the workout room I ran into the woman that the tanning bed had caught fire on, which she was NOT hurt at all and we actually both kind of laughed about it because you have to admit its a little bit funny, I mean who has a story like that to tell. But yes she could have been hurt none the less. They have two swimming pools which were in great shape and ALWAYS clean. As for the staff, most of them have a snotty attitude and could care less about you. There were a few there that was as nice as they could be to me. Gail was pretty nice, not sure if she is still there or not. Every now and then I would run into her in town. The maintenance guys are really nice and helpful, I just personally think that there are not enough of them for what all they have to do and I think the office runs all over them and treats them like crap. Several maintenance workers while I lived there confided in me and told me how they were treated by all the women in the leasing office. But hey; you do get what you pay for in life, so if you do live here don't expect very much at all. Shop around the Hermitage area before settling down into this one before making any quick rushed decisions to live here. What are these people complaining about??

I been at the Park for nearly 4 years and I was really surprised to come across such bad reviews. I have never had any problems at all. No flooding, no bugs, no break-in's, no maintenence issues. The staff is very nice to me and most know me by name which is surprising. I once had a problem with a noisy, very psycho neighbor, and the staff was generally concerned and did what they could to solve the problem and she eventually moved out. My current neighbors are quiet and considerate. Laundry and gym facilities work and the pool is kept clean. I really can't complain at all. As far as having to pay out your lease if you move out early, these details are in the lease and the staff points this out to me each time I renew my lease. The rent is very reasonable and the location is close to the interstate.

                                        Great Environment, Terrible Management

Management was very friendly until after we signed the lease, at which time we went from being their first priority to the very last. Environment is a great deal for your money, except tanning beds are always broken. For the money, though, there are a lot of nice amenities, unfortunately the service by management, maintenance, etc. was lacking. We had two maintenance issues in the six months we lived there one was a fairly major water leak, the other was minor. Neither were resloved within 24 hours, and the water ;eak was not resolved to our satisfaction at all. We ended up paying hellacious fees to break our ten month lease early after six months of living at the park to but a house. (Fees greater than $2,000), so if you think you might have to break the lease early, don't do it!Aside from that, 6 months later, all settled into our new house nicely, I check my credit report and they have assessed a collection item on it. We left them being told that we had paid in full, with a forwarding address for us, an email address, and 3 phone numbers to contact us with. We were never contacted. We always paid our rent/utilities/etc. on time and never had any complaints from other tenants. Now they have reported something to the credit bureau, which we are currently in the process of disputing...thank God for good banks and cancelled checks...over something they never ever contacted us about after telling us that we had paid them in full. It has jst not been a good experience. Honestly, when we read this website before renting there, I thought the people who complained were mostly just the bad tenants or the few people who had bad experiences, but bad customer service seems to be a way of life around there. I think maybe they try to run you off, because they get more money if you break the lease than they do if it just ends naturally, not to mention they can then turn around and lease it to someone else. It was just really bad, guys. We were good tenants and are good people and they have treated us absolutely horrible. They were not concerned at all about maitenance, even when my floors were soaked in the bathroom, bedroom, and hall, it still took them 1-2 days to get the maintenance man over to even look at it, and then he couldn't fix it right away, and did not ever fix or dry the carpet even though I called about it, which then got a musty-mildewed smell. It was just a bad experience. It's a nice deal for the price, but because of the bad service, it's just not worth it. Believe the other reviews. I do now.

I've been at the park 4 months. Some of the reviews are correct. SOme apts are fantastic older but nice. Others are so noisy it's horrible. (My family also lives in 2 other apts) I think it all depends on where in the park you are. Some calls to maintenance are answered right away. others wait months. Doesn't really matter the emergency or not. security light has been out almost 2 months. notified office about a month in. Ice maker in freezer not working right.. they were there the next day. Their excuse on the light... had to order (does it really take that long?) Pool rarely open on time... (Never were told there was time limit) understand the night time but days not open til 10 (when opened on time). As for the Dog poop... Some pick up some don't. Office tells different things to different people regarding that. one says if you are near edge of property do not have to pick up another says no pick up your out! 2 police on campus see car never see them. Family/singles/kids activities. They try but sometimes come up short. One person in office acts better than everyone else... I try to avoid her.... AS for moving to another yep they do charge you extra fees and more even if it's at the end of your lease... (Even if it is medical reasons) Would I come here again... probably not as bad as others that I have heard about.... Just will watch where in complex I ended up.

My husband and I lived at the park for six months while our house was being built in Mt. Juliet. We don't have children but we do have two large golden retrievers. The staff was more that accommodating to us and our dogs. The apartment was older but clean, whenever we had a maintenance issue, Mr. Bob came quickly to fix it. I would recommend this place to anyone. From reading the previous entries, it sounds like the majority of them have issues no matter where they live.

Bad apartments. Had to move into another because of flooding. Then I find out the building next door to the one they put us in temporatily has had trouble with flooding before too. They tried to get away without changing the carpet and just call in a carpet cleaner and use a dehumidifier like they did my neighbor (their go-to solution it seems) . There was mold on the walls in closets even after the new carpet. My only guess is they didn't check to see if the floor was dry before putting down the carpet pad and carpet. So if you are up to losing things due to shotty plumbing and construction, go for it. If you do decide to move in, get renters insurance and list everything you own. Chances are somwhere along your stay here you will need to file a claim.

Not the worst, but pretty bad.

I would never live there again either. Constant problems, my neighbors behind our apartment had flooding more than once. I had termites, no other bugs thankfully, but when you have swarming going on in your bathroom every spring/summer it's pretty bad and a sign whatever they were doing to prevent it wasn't that great. The walls are textured, which would be ok if they were painted better because paint rubs off the walls when cleaning. They were supposedly doing repairs on the balconies, although mine and a couple of my neighbors were falling apart to the point of being a danger to anyone leaning on them. There have been a few times late at night people go swimming in the back pool making all kinds of noise after it is supposed to be closed, seems like some occasional security would be good.
