I had no problems with this place
I don't know what everybody is bitching about. Sure-people have their own problems and that's understandable! I for one have not had any problems with The Park at Hermitage..no bugs or termites. They always gave us notice of when the apartments were going to be sprayed. The staff was always helpful (then again, my mother is a mogul in Real Estate..so they know not to screw with me)..but even if that's not the case-they're still always helpful to me. As far as the noise in my area-very little. My neighbors were somewhat friendly-but there's not much I can do about that. I'm moving back to TN in a month or so and I will be staying at The Park in Hermitage-only a bigger apartment this time around. The only other qualm I have-is that I just wish it was closer or right in the city of Nashville..be a lot more convenient for me.

Pretty bad
I have not been happy since I moved in Jan 05. The staff is not helpful, the grounds are fair, the first week here my car was broken into and my stereo stolen. The noise level is too high and if you live downstairs anyone walking above you sounds amplified. I had to complain for a month to get the light in the parking area fixed. I would not recommend living here.

My Park Review
We had a pretty nice stay here at the Park despite a car break-in & then it was stolen a few months later. All apartments have this problem, you just have to equip your car w/ anti-theft devices. So anyways-<br><br>These are nice apartments and they are affordable compared to the surrounding communities. They have 2 pools, 2 free tanning beds, free massage sessions on certain Saturdays, 6 machine fitness center, unique floorplans, private balconies. Also they have family events which is nice. <br><br>The staff is friendly and want to help you when you have issues. When you put in a service request for maintenance she response is quick. They won't walk in on you if you keep the sliding lock on when you are home.<br><br>The only bad things are that you have to pay for the water, trash, & pest control, if you lose your fitness center key it's $25 to get a replacement, and there is no security at night.

I never wanted to come home!!!!!!
Absolutely terrible!!!!! The staff is great at getting you to sign the lease, but treats you like dirt when all is said and done. Our water heater leaked constantly. For about 3 months the carpet was constantly soaked in front of the door and in the spare room closet. We had hundreds of dollars of damage to books, electonic equipment, and clothing. Absolutley no help or compensation. The upstairs toliet even flooded and soaked through our ceiling and walls. We had to threaten to call the fire departemtn beofre we could get a maintenance guy to come over ASAP. Even more damage. We couldn't even sleep in our place because the industrial fans were so loud. It's been 4 months and there are still water marks and holes in the ceiling. I hate this place!!! The people around us are loud. If you live under someone it sounds like they are constantly bowling above you. Driving in this place also is bad. People drive too fast. People pull out in front of you and back out without looking. I've almost got into several accidents. The gym area is dirty squeaky and disgusting. STAY AWAY from here, its HORRIBLE!!!!!

Nice, Quiet, and Affordable
Everybody knows the apartment hunting routine: pick up a guide, or look at various websites, narrow it down, then call the places you like to take a look. From the beginning, The Park was different. Instead of me doing all the talking, Gail, the leasing consulant asked me what I needed, listened to all my requirements and concerns, then told me what she had for me. From the moment I walked in their office, I knew I was home, everyone was smiling, and asking me what was bringing me to the area. I FELT WELCOME! The apartment was the icing on the cake, homey, clean, and well kept. The Park has the right amount of space for the price. I would totally recommend this place.

I loved it!
I had the best apartment and the best neighbors. The office staff were so nice. They always went out of their way to The only reason I moved out was because I had a job transfer. And, the office staff even helped me find an apartment community out of state. The maintenance was great. Anytime I had something that needed to be fixed, they responded that day. I actually miss being there. They have a massage therapist that comes and gives free massages on Saturdays. If I move back to Nashville, I will live at The Park again!

Do NOT recommend
I would not recommend this complex. The actual apartment that I lived in was beautiful with vaulted ceilings and spacious closets, those are the only nice ammenities. My car was broken into, my washer dryer connections still do not work, apartment personnel are nice before you rent, however, they do not always tell you the entire story, do not care after yu have moved in or have the correct answers for you. I lived here for almost a year and a half and broke my lease early just to get out. Constant maintenance calls, constant headaches. Not worth the money that I was paying. Constant insects, hoodlums in the complex at all hours of the night. Please, people listen to me, I owned and remodeled a house before I lived in this complex, DO NOT rent from any apartment complex. If you cannot buy a home, rent a home, especially do not rent from The Park

Do not live here
Lets see. Not only do they feel it is alright for mainenance guys to just unlock the door and come into your apartment, one guy had the balls to come into the apartment(looking as if he was casing the place) and asked why we had so many computers. My boyfriend's car got towed for the license plate being expired of which I thought you were not supposed to drive if it was(and yes he lives here with me). In fact, when his car was towed, he asked where it had been taken, and the manager said she knew nothing about it. When he threatened a lawyer, she told him which tow company. Another tidbit of interest is that they say that they tow for expired tags, double parked cars, oil leaks, etc. As we were driving through the complex, we noticed that several other people that live here that have nicer cars than my boyfriend's that had been expired for far longer, were not towed, and have still not been towed. They obviously believe in special treatment. I do not usually care about noise, but the construction of the buildings must be poor because it always sounds like the guy upstairs is sumo wrestling. Our air conditioning has had problems and at one point sprung a leak and flooded half of the second bedroom. To fix this, the maintenance man came out and stuck a plug in it and put a dehumidifier in the bedroom. Well, the plug made it worse, and it began to leak in 4 places, quadrupling the leaking. When I told the manager that the bedroom was flooded(the 2nd time I told her) and I informed her that they did nothing to suck the water out of the carpet, she said she would have someone out there immediately since she considered this an emergency. (I almost thought they were going to try and pin it on us by saying, it's an emergency, you should have called when you first noticed the water on the floor.) Well I noticed this at 2 in the morning. Anyway, 4 hours later, still no one had come, and I called back and she acted as if she had forgotten. Pest control came at an insane hour in the morning(banged on the door and yelled "PEST CONTROL") and when we started to get up to answer it, he was already unlocking the door to come in. Is it just me, or is that illegal? They do not cover the water bill, which would be fine, except that they go through this company that is called Viterra Energy Services. We have had the most ridiculous water and sewage bills and they tack on extra for pest control that comes every 6 months. I believe they may also be tacking on the water they are using to water the plants near our building. I just cannot prove it. There is a sewage manhole uncovered outside our apartment which has been that way for a very long time now. I do believe that is a health hazard. Pieces of the building are falling apart, perhaps termites. There is also consistently wasp nests all over the place which they do absolutely nothing about. The most annoying thing of all I believe is that they say that if you cannot come into the office to pay rent during office hours, you can drop the payment off. Well, my roommate did this, by dropping it where everyone else drops their rent off. Apparently, they lost it and then charged us a $70 late fee, PLUS since they claimed that our apartment is really worth paying $779 a month(we are paying $659 because of a deal) they also charged us the rest of that amount. So we had to pay almost $200 in late fees. This has been the worst complex I have EVER lived at and the staff are so incompetent, I do not know how they know how to even button their shirts everyday. What's scary, is that when we moved in here, they told us that we had one of the nice apartments.

Very happy
I've lived here for two years, and while no place is perfect, I have no complaints -- especially for such an old facility. With one exception, I've found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Maintenance is excellent. When my garbage disposal sprung a leak a few weeks back, I had a new one within 24 hours. Coffee and doughnuts most mornings. Massages on Saturday. Two pools. Lots of activities and "events." Accomodations are warm and inviting. I love the sycamore tree outside my balcony. I'd recommend this place to anybody.

spend your money else where!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I lived at the park for a few years and finally I had enough of the office bull****. They are really nice to you when you are looking and when you first move in but after that, forget about respect. I guess the people that work in the office (management) do not realize that our rent money goes to pay thier paycheck. Once they rope you into a lease you are like an abused animal because you cannot leave without having to pay an absurd amount of money to break your lease. <br>Also spiders and termintes are awful. My husband was bitten by a brown recluse spider and which cause an emergancy bill for us because of the swelling and "blood poison" from the spider along with 5 days off of work. We had termites in both bathrooms. Our tubs were full of them and it only took them 2 weeks to come spray. I have killed spiders in my apartment as big as freaking plums. Stay very clear of this place. And what ever you do, don´t ask any of the office staff to do something for you, like help find a lost child because they will not help and think you are crazy for even asking. God for Bid they get off their lazy a** for you. Walmart has better customer service than this place, so you know its bad. <br>ohh and by the way I was paying 749 a month and I find out that a new person moved in December to this hell hole and they are only paying 599. Same apartment, same square footage and all. talking about a rip off. <br>In the winter your heat bill will be outrageous because the door have horrible insulation around the edge. You can literally stand in front of the door and feel drafts. <br>

My review of the park
I live at the Park and I, too believe it is way overpriced, old, and bug infested. It does give me some sick comfort to know other people had bugs in their apartment, and it isn´t just me. I have a 17 mos. old and I cant let her walk around in the apartment. I hate it here. I can hear every single sound the people upstairs make, it sounds like elephants live up there. My lease runs up this summer and I will be checking reviews of other apartments before I pick one this time. I didn´t know this website existed. Please don´t waste your money on these apartments!

Not the best
Lived here for 3 years. My apartment is drafty (causing utility bills to be high), leaky, and old. Can hear almost every sound the neighbors make. <br> <br>Residents must pay water, trash, sewer, and pest fee on a monthly basis. Very few ammenitites, I believe the only ammenity is the pool (which one may need a tetnis shot after swimming in). <br> <br>Car vandalism is a regular occurance. <br> <br>Some neighbors looked very shady. <br> <br>I would look carefully at this apartment complex before renting. However, I don´t recommend renting here. <br>

What an adventure
Its going to seem like a carbon copy. We had a hot water heater bust and flood our livingroom, hallway and one of our bedrooms. They vacuumed the carpet & replaced the carpet pad fairly quickly, but this was after 2 days of having fans blowing in our house a dehumidifier. The Management is deceptively nice. They say nice things and try to cater to our needs, they even offered us a show apartment to live in while they cleaned our house, but I´m not one for letting people come into my house while I´m not at home. <br> <br>The painter did a less than wonderful job, leaving some sort of spackling dust on top of everything in our bedroom, that was fun cleaning. We told the office what happened and that we´ve cleaned everything. They offered to pay a cleaning service to come out and clean, but we had already done it. <br> <br>We asked to be compensated in some way and they took $200 off our rent for that month. <br> <br>Now that I´m writing all this down, it doesn´t seem like as terrible of an experience as I am remembering it. The ladies that work in the office were very nice and polite. I got the feeling the Upper Mgt was reluctant to be more forthcoming w/ apologies and that $200 we got, after requesting a free month, only came after a little arm twisting. Actually it took a letter to the Regional Manager to debitchify the Mgr here. <br> <br>I have the impression that there is a breakdown in communication between the office people and the maintenance people. I think I am upset at the wrong people. <br> <br>Our dryer isn´t venting. We had maintenance come look at it today while we were at work and when we got home, we found this on the Service Order: "We can´t do anything with the dryer vent. You will have to cange te vent pipe." That´s it, what does this mean? I´m mad at the Park, yet again, but I don´t think my anger is directed in the right direction. <br> <br>Woah, that´s a lot of feedback.

It was a great experience!
I lived at The Park for two years and it was the best community I have ever lived in. I only decided to move out because I purchased a home. Whenever we had a maintenance issue, they came with in a day and repaired it. The leasing staff even called to make sure it was completed to our satisfaction. Yes, the Park is an older complex, but the management company really takes care of it. My walls were textured, all the light fixtures were ultra-modern, I even had them install a custom mantle for my renewal gift. One a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) I give the Park a 9! They definitely went out of their way to make sure my family and I were pleased!

Nice...If you´re White Trash
It was filthy and old. Cabinets really needed to be updated, they were nasty to the point I was afraid to put anything in them. We looked at "models" when we toured the complex, what we got was the handicapped apartment, complete with cabinets, etc., a foot lower than normal. You would think this would be in violation of the disabililty laws. One day I had the pleasure of finding thousands of bugs crawling out from my bathroom...termites. I killed most of them, office said it was not big deal, and sent out a guy with a can of Raid. Raid?! Well, I already had that! How professional. I would not recommend this place because, while reasonably priced, they are not upkept well and are just clearly out to make as much money as they can from as many people as possible. Oh, did I mention, we had no water on Thanksgiving, our hot water heater broke and they put in one the size of a midget in it´s place, well the list could go on and on...do yourself a favor, just don´t rent here!

whatever
These apartments are lame, end of story. I think it´s also lame how someone gives a bad review, and then another person comes in and says "maybe you should look within." WITHIN WHAT?? The apartment guide for another place to rent? Ok, we´ll do. No one needs to take it personally when someone else voices their opinion about hating where they live. Not everyone is having a great and majical experience at these apartments. Geez, get a life!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND :):)
I HAVE LIVIED HERE I YRS. WHEN THERE IS A PROBLEM (AS THERE IS GOING TO BE IN APARTMENT LIVING) THEY ARE EASY TO WORK WITH. <br>THEY GET RIGHT ON THE PROBLEM. FOR AN OLDER COMPLEX IT´S GREAT. WITH SO LITTLE PROBLEMS FOR A COMPLEX IT´S AGE YOU CAN TELL THAT IT HAS HAD A LOT OF TLC.

I DISAGREE
I lived at the park for 1 yr. and really enjoyed it. I had a great apartment and never encountered any problems the entire year that I lived there. The office staff was always very friendly and the maintenance staff was always on top of their game. I have lived in a couple different apartments in Nashville and I must say that this was one of the best experiences I have had. To those of you who have voiced your bitter complaints, maybe you should look within.

DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!11
WOW, I thought i had found a really great community!! I was dead wrong. BUGS BUGS BUGS!!! The staff was horrible, and they really went out of thier way to make you feel like you were not welcome! Numerous complaints about noise at 3am EVERY NIGHT went unanswered, so I called Metro myself, who called the officer at the apartments. He just told the people to be quiet, 10 minn after he left they turned the music back UP!! so I called again, the police finnally took care of it but the duty officer lived right behind me and I know he could hear the music. This was a Weds night not friday or saturday which would have been fine. No maintenence at all, I called on my A/C unit it took 4 weeks 4 gosh darn weeks for maintenance to even call to see what was wrong. Also when i left that hell hole, I cleaned the apartment from top to bottom. SPOTLESS I even had the carpet super scrubbed it looked like new. NO damamge when i did the walk through with the manager, he said it was great no problems and i would get my deposit check mailed to me in a week or so. A week later I got a BILL for 455 dollars stating thier were damages ect. . . I had the walk through sheet clearing me and am still fighting with them today about this issue. DO NOT EVER RENT HERE OR EVEN STOP BY THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NEVER AGAIN! Don´t Rent Here!
Lived at the park for 1 year and am happy to be out of there. Leasing office is friendly when you tour the property, after that forget it. We had problems with a hot water tank breaking and flooding our living room and one bedroom. They replaced the tank, but not the carpet. They simply brought fans in and ran them for 2 days straight. The carpet had a musty smell and several "bumps" which ran the entire length of the living room. <br> We also had a terrible problem with bugs. Spiders and termites were commonplace. We called to complain about the termites and the office responded "It´s just that time of year, but we can try to send someone out to spray if you´d like." GEE, my bathroom is overrun with termites, I guess if it´s not too much of an inconvenience you could send someone out! <br> In my opinion the mgmt office is very unprofessional. Phone calls go unanswered and they don´t make you feel welcome at all. The apartments are becoming run down and there are much better deals out there. Look somewhere else, you DO NOT want to live here.

Would NOT recommend!!!
I would not recommend this complex to ANYONE! When I first moved in, the management was tolerable. Over the past year, whenever I had a problem, they would always say, "We´ll check into it", but they never do. I´ve made at least 10 noise complaints, and nothing has been done. Mind you, I don´t care about a stereo being loud--that´s a fact of apartment living, but when you have to make so many complaints about a neighbor--something needs to be done. <br> <br>On top of that, I had another vehicle parked in the lot--they had it towed. It didn´t have a tag, and that´s probably why they towed it. But the problem is that I had made arrangements with the office for them not to tow it, and they did it anyway! They seem to single residents out--I say that because there were 2 cars parked right across from mine (with no tag) that did not get towed. <br> <br>Another incident happened when someone shot through my neighbor´s side wall. She reported it to the management, but no one ever called her back. The bullet went in through her bathroom and hit a few walls before stopping. The maintenance team fixed the damage, but she still never received a call. <br> <br>I also discovered that someone on the leasing staff discussed my lease with another resident. Shouldn´t that stuff be private? <br> <br>If you do decide to rent from the Park, be alert about the management. When you´re interested in renting, they´ll be the nicest people to you--but once you´re locked in, they act like they don´t even know you. I will say that the property manager and one leasing agent are very friendly, but I would throw caution to the rest. <br> <br>I wouldn´t recommend renting from this place, but if you do, good luck!
