If you want broken AC all the time, this is the place for you!

I have lived at these apts for almost three years. The first year here I was happy with it. Every year after, I have major problems with my air conditioner. And you need to have working air conditioning in TN summers. The first year, I told them my air conditioner just wasn't cooling. Their answer to me was that it's just really hot outside and my AC is having to work really hard to keep it cool. I just kind of accepted it and stayed pretty warm for the most part. Last year, I told them the same thing. Then I brought up the fact that I live in an upstairs one bedroom apt and pay at least $150 in electric, when I have friends here in the same complex that have two bedroom apts with much cooler apts and half the electric bill. On a Friday evening, my air conditioner started blowing out hot air. Maintenance came out and tried to fix it, but because it was the weekend, they couldn't get any new parts. Turned out I needed a whole new unit, and that wasn't replaced untilā€¦Ā See More>

I was pleased with the complex.

I originally moved here with my girlfriend. I liked the location because of its convenience to the freeway and proximity to Nashville metro area (15 minutes to downtown without traffic.) My girlfriend liked how close it was to grocery stores and restaurants (up the street on Old Hickory.)

The apartment was very spacious at 800 sq. feet and in good condition. I had been a little hesitant after reading some reviews of the place but we worked with Lauren in the office and she was very sweet and understanding. There was an initial holdup with our move-in that wasn't the fault of the office staff and they were sympathetic to our needs, even offering to let us stay in a furnished residence until we were OK'd by their company.

Our apartment was in the 1500 bldg, which was convenient to parking, the office/pool, and mailboxes. Parking was never a problem. At very worst, when I come back late at night, I couldnt park directly in front of the apartment. It was slightly dissappointing to have the pool close after labor day despite the fact that there were several gorgeous days in the following weeks.

The only noise that was a problem was theā€¦Ā See More>

      Not worth the money!!!

During my stay at The Park, I didn't have too much to complain about. The management was nice, maintainance was always done in a timely manner and my neighbors weren't noisy. The only objection that I had was the DATED model/style of the apartments. They have popcorn ceilings, 1980's appliances, dingy capeting and the cabinetry is horrible. If you're looking for an updated apartment, this is not the place for you. If you decide to live here, please be sure to look around before signing and make sure your apt insn't a long way from the parking lot. Also, don't let them rush you into signing the lease.

It was just OK and I will leave it at that!!!

I lived here for a total of three years. They were just as nice to me as ever when I first toured the place and treated me like royalty. The part I liked is they showed me the actual apartment that I would get if I signed that day. They also had a business center that they showed me at the time that I was touring the place with a computer, phone, and a fax machine which came in great for the job that I had at the time; However this was taken out to make it into someone's office which I learned to deal with because they did offer to me anytime I still needed to use a fax machine that they would be more than happily to allow me to do so. The apartment that I got was right by the road which the traffic was horrible until you get used to it. But I learned to deal with that, that just takes a little getting used to. When I first moved in the dishwasher dumped water all in the floor of the kitchen twice and when I told them about it theyā€¦Ā See More>

What are these people complaining about??

I been at the Park for nearly 4 years and I was really surprised to come across such bad reviews. I have never had any problems at all. No flooding, no bugs, no break-in's, no maintenence issues. The staff is very nice to me and most know me by name which is surprising. I once had a problem with a noisy, very psycho neighbor, and the staff was generally concerned and did what they could to solve the problem and she eventually moved out. My current neighbors are quiet and considerate. Laundry and gym facilities work and the pool is kept clean. I really can't complain at all. As far as having to pay out your lease if you move out early, these details are in the lease and the staff points this out to me each time I renew my lease. The rent is very reasonable and the location is close to the interstate.

            Great Environment, Terrible Management

Management was very friendly until after we signed the lease, at which time we went from being their first priority to the very last. Environment is a great deal for your money, except tanning beds are always broken. For the money, though, there are a lot of nice amenities, unfortunately the service by management, maintenance, etc. was lacking. We had two maintenance issues in the six months we lived there one was a fairly major water leak, the other was minor. Neither were resloved within 24 hours, and the water ;eak was not resolved to our satisfaction at all. We ended up paying hellacious fees to break our ten month lease early after six months of living at the park to but a house. (Fees greater than $2,000), so if you think you might have to break the lease early, don't do it!Aside from that, 6 months later, all settled into our new house nicely, I check my credit report and they have assessed a collection item on it. We left them being told that we had paid in full, with a forwarding address for us, an email address, and 3 phone numbers to contact us with. We were neverā€¦Ā See More>

              mixed on the park

I've been at the park 4 months. Some of the reviews are correct. SOme apts are fantastic older but nice. Others are so noisy it's horrible. (My family also lives in 2 other apts) I think it all depends on where in the park you are. Some calls to maintenance are answered right away. others wait months. Doesn't really matter the emergency or not. security light has been out almost 2 months. notified office about a month in. Ice maker in freezer not working right.. they were there the next day. Their excuse on the light... had to order (does it really take that long?) Pool rarely open on time... (Never were told there was time limit) understand the night time but days not open til 10 (when opened on time). As for the Dog poop... Some pick up some don't. Office tells different things to different people regarding that. one says if you are near edge of property do not have to pick up another says no pick up your out! 2 police on campus see car never seeā€¦Ā See More>

We (and our dogs) loved it!

My husband and I lived at the park for six months while our house was being built in Mt. Juliet. We don't have children but we do have two large golden retrievers. The staff was more that accommodating to us and our dogs. The apartment was older but clean, whenever we had a maintenance issue, Mr. Bob came quickly to fix it. I would recommend this place to anyone. From reading the previous entries, it sounds like the majority of them have issues no matter where they live.

Rude snotty uninformed, unprofessional office staff. The district manager does not even care, she never returns calls . The head office in Memphis does not return calls about complaint either.

Have to agree with the bad reviews, wish I didn't.

Bad apartments. Had to move into another because of flooding. Then I find out the building next door to the one they put us in temporatily has had trouble with flooding before too. They tried to get away without changing the carpet and just call in a carpet cleaner and use a dehumidifier like they did my neighbor (their go-to solution it seems) . There was mold on the walls in closets even after the new carpet. My only guess is they didn't check to see if the floor was dry before putting down the carpet pad and carpet. So if you are up to losing things due to shotty plumbing and construction, go for it. If you do decide to move in, get renters insurance and list everything you own. Chances are somwhere along your stay here you will need to file a claim.

Not the worst, but pretty bad.

I would never live there again either. Constant problems, my neighbors behind our apartment had flooding more than once. I had termites, no other bugs thankfully, but when you have swarming going on in your bathroom every spring/summer it's pretty bad and a sign whatever they were doing to prevent it wasn't that great. The walls are textured, which would be ok if they were painted better because paint rubs off the walls when cleaning. They were supposedly doing repairs on the balconies, although mine and a couple of my neighbors were falling apart to the point of being a danger to anyone leaning on them. There have been a few times late at night people go swimming in the back pool making all kinds of noise after it is supposed to be closed, seems like some occasional security would be good.

I had no problems with this place

I don't know what everybody is bitching about. Sure-people have their own problems and that's understandable! I for one have not had any problems with The Park at Hermitage..no bugs or termites. They always gave us notice of when the apartments were going to be sprayed. The staff was always helpful (then again, my mother is a mogul in Real Estate..so they know not to screw with me)..but even if that's not the case-they're still always helpful to me. As far as the noise in my area-very little. My neighbors were somewhat friendly-but there's not much I can do about that. I'm moving back to TN in a month or so and I will be staying at The Park in Hermitage-only a bigger apartment this time around. The only other qualm I have-is that I just wish it was closer or right in the city of Nashville..be a lot more convenient for me.

I have not been happy since I moved in Jan 05. The staff is not helpful, the grounds are fair, the first week here my car was broken into and my stereo stolen. The noise level is too high and if you live downstairs anyone walking above you sounds amplified. I had to complain for a month to get the light in the parking area fixed. I would not recommend living here.

We had a pretty nice stay here at the Park despite a car break-in & then it was stolen a few months later. All apartments have this problem, you just have to equip your car w/ anti-theft devices. So anyways-

These are nice apartments and they are affordable compared to the surrounding communities. They have 2 pools, 2 free tanning beds, free massage sessions on certain Saturdays, 6 machine fitness center, unique floorplans, private balconies. Also they have family events which is nice.

The staff is friendly and want to help you when you have issues. When you put in a service request for maintenance she response is quick. They won't walk in on you if you keep the sliding lock on when you are home.

The only bad things are that you have to pay for the water, trash, & pest control, if you lose your fitness center key it's $25 to get a replacement, and there is no security at night.

Absolutely terrible!!!!! The staff is great at getting you to sign the lease, but treats you like dirt when all is said and done. Our water heater leaked constantly. For about 3 months the carpet was constantly soaked in front of the door and in the spare room closet. We had hundreds of dollars of damage to books, electonic equipment, and clothing. Absolutley no help or compensation. The upstairs toliet even flooded and soaked through our ceiling and walls. We had to threaten to call the fire departemtn beofre we could get a maintenance guy to come over ASAP. Even more damage. We couldn't even sleep in our place because the industrial fans were so loud. It's been 4 months and there are still water marks and holes in the ceiling. I hate this place!!! The people around us are loud. Everybody knows the apartment hunting routine: pick up a guide, or look at various websites, narrow it down, then call the places you like to take a look. From the beginning, The Park was different. Instead of me doing all the talking, Gail, the leasing consulant asked me what I needed, listened to all my requirements and concerns, then told me what she had for me. From the moment I walked in their office, I knew I was home, everyone was smiling, and asking me what was bringing me to the area. I FELT WELCOME! The apartment was the icing on the cake, homey, clean, and well kept. The Park has the right amount of space for the price. I would totally recommend this place.

They have a massage therapist that comes and gives free massages on Saturdays. If I move back to Nashville, I will live at The Park again!

The actual apartment that I lived in was beautiful with vaulted ceilings and spacious closets, those are the only nice ammenities. My car was broken into, my washer dryer connections still do not work, apartment personnel are nice before you rent, however, they do not always tell you the entire story, do not care after yu have moved in or have the correct answers for you. I lived here for almost a year and a half and broke my lease early just to get out. Constant maintenance calls, constant headaches. Not worth the money that I was paying. Constant insects, hoodlums in the complex at all hours of the night. Please, people listen to me, I owned and remodeled a house before I lived in this complex, DO NOT rent from any apartment complex. If you cannot buy a home, rent a home, especially do not rent from The Park

My boyfriend's car got towed for the license plate being expired of which I thought you were not supposed to drive if it was(and yes he lives here with me). In fact, when his car was towed, he asked where it had been taken, and the manager said she knew nothing about it. When he threatened a lawyer, she told him which tow company. Another tidbit of interest is that they say that they tow for expired tags, double parked cars, oil leaks, etc. As we were driving through the complex, we noticed that several other people that live here that have nicer cars than my boyfriend's that had been expired for far longer, were not towed, and have still not been towed. With one exception, I've found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Maintenance is excellent. When my garbage disposal sprung a leak a few weeks back, I had a new one within 24 hours. Coffee and doughnuts most mornings. Massages on Saturday. Two pools. Lots of activities and "events." Accomodations are warm and inviting. I love the sycamore tree outside my balcony. I'd recommend this place to anybody.

                                              Not the best

Lived here for 3 years. My apartment is drafty (causing utility bills to be high), leaky, and old. Can hear almost every sound the neighbors make.

Residents must pay water, trash, sewer, and pest fee on a monthly basis. Very few ammenitites, I believe the only ammenity is the pool (which one may need a tetnis shot after swimming in).

Car vandalism is a regular occurance.

Some neighbors looked very shady.

I would look carefully at this apartment complex before renting. However, I donĀ“t recommend renting here.
What an adventure

Its going to seem like a carbon copy. We had a hot water heater bust and flood our livingroom, hallway and one of our bedrooms. They vacuumed the carpet & replaced the carpet pad fairly quickly, but this was after 2 days of having fans blowing in our house a dehumidifier. The Management is deceptively nice. They say nice things and try to cater to our needs, they even offered us a show apartment to live in while they cleaned our house, but IĀ“m not one for letting people come into my house while IĀ“m not at home.

The painter did a less than wonderful job, leaving some sort of spackling dust on top of everything in our bedroom, that was fun cleaning. We told the office what happened and that weĀ“ve cleaned everything. They offered to pay a cleaning service to come out and clean, but we had already done it.

We asked to be compensated in some way and they took $200 off our rent for that month.

Now that IĀ“m writing all this down, it doesnĀ“t seem like as terrible of an experience as I am remembering it. The ladies that work in the office were very niceā€¦Ā See More>

                                                  It was a great experience!

I lived at The Park for two years and it was the best community I have ever lived in. I only decided to move out because I purchased a home. Whenever we had a maintenance issue, they came with in a day and repaired it. The leasing staff even called to make sure it was completed to our satisfaction. Yes, the Park is an older complex, but the management company really takes care of it. My walls were textured, all the light fixtures were ultra-modern, I even had them install a custom mantle for my renewal gift. One a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) I give the Park a 9! They definitely went out of their way to make sure my family and I were pleased!
