The Artisan apartment community has been a fantastic complex. They are responsive to maintenance requests, help you when you have a problem, and keep the community clean. I love my apsrtment's layout. It is spacious and reasonably priced.

We have been very impressed with the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. When we have issues, they are quick to put in an order for us and also follow up with that order. We've already referred two different friends here and they've already moved in and love it.

This place was great when we moved in. It's changed management a couple of times and the new people are horrible. I've been here over 5 years and was not allowed to transfer units when renewing last year because it would have made our rent cheaper. They don't tell you when they get packages for you in the office, but they return to sender if not picked up in 2 days. They change lease policies during the term and apply to all residents. Office staff gives different answers depending on who and when you ask. Pool closed every Monday including holidays for "cleaning" with pool vacuum that doesn't pick up debris.

I am currently living here and loce it! The grounds are well kept, its clean and i have not had any issues with pests! The price of rent is great also for the space you get! i highly recomd living here if you are looking for a quiet, dog friendly complex where the summers are nice by the pool.

I moved into the Artisan back in September and since then I have had nothing but positive experiences with the staff. I think that is the number one reason why I am resigning actually. Aside from the rent being the best bang for your buck around the neighborhood with a healthy amount of square footage, the staff is just great. I have actually poured my heart into women in the leasing office, particularly Candice and they have listened to me, tried to assist me and took the time email me promptly and check in and see how I was doing. I go into the leasing office at least once a week just to say "Hi!" to everyone. Then their is the maintenance, 2 men come to mind. One is from Central America and we talked about culture and food while he was fixing my microwave, and I could tell he was an authentic man on the team. The other one I often see around the grounds when I go for walks and he gives me information about upcoming events and answers my questions. I moved here from Indiana and I am glad I chose this property!

I have lived here since 2015. While here the staff has had a lot of turnover. The current manager is the one who has handled the turnover the best. She came, equipped our apartment with a full staff and the staff has stayed - many even live on site now and have made the community their home. I enjoy living here because the price is good and they have events for us to attend. Today we had a pizza party. It was fun! I will be renewing

The absolute worse part about these apartments is the staff. My roommate and I have been avoided by the staff on multiple occasions when trying to get them to answer our questions, they have acted rudely to us, given us different answers, sent us false documentation. It is very shady and I ended up filing a complaint with the BBB. The walls are very thin, the upkeep is terrible, parts of our apartment immediately began to fall apart after we moved out and got poorly fixed. This is the worst experience I have ever had with an apartment complex and I hope that soon they are caught for their shady practices that steal money from their renters.

I have been residing at Artisan Apartments for almost 3 years. Management was excellent when we first moved in. Last year management changed to Bassham properties and service is HORRIBLE. Office staff is rude, we can't never speak with the manager, maintenance doesn't show up to fix issues in my unit. This pass weekend Oct-24th it rained all day due to the hurricane, my apartment roof leaked my carpet got soaking wet, my furniture got damage. Maintenance showed up after our service requests and he didn't do anything. 3 days later my apartment smells like humidity no carpet company showed up to do water extraction and to fix issues the next days. We called again and the manager is M.I.A. Rent is to expensive for the service they provide.

This is the worst place I have ever live. I moved here in December 14. Been having problems with roaches, pest control coming once a month now weekly try to move to different apartment they won't let me because they want me to pay $250 deposit even though I paid it in December. In the office are very rude and the owner Bassham properties are worst. The will never do anything to hepl you. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE PAYING $1300 TO LIVE WITH ROACHES. I've lived here about 1 1/2 years. The first year was amazing and I told everyone how proud I was to be a part of an apartment complex that was so involved with their tenants. Then management changed. Now anytime I call with any simple issue they basically tell me tough s*** until I get off the phone. They don't try and fix the problem or even really listen to anything I say. We use to have movie nights and community breakfasts, but like the good management that went right out the window. These people are awful. If you want to live in a nice expensive apartment then this is the place for you, but I foresee this place going to utter s*** soon with the new attitude they have. I know when my lease is up I'm picking my stuff up and leaving asap. No longer worth the cost.

I live here currently and to be honest, I can't wait to leave. Let me give you the positives first. The floor plans are very unique. They have many different set ups and the unit I am in feels more like a house than an apartment in terms of how it is constructed. And there is at this time a convenience store up at the front that makes running to grab milk or something you forgot at the HEB easy and quick. This is also very close (about 2 miles up the road) from HEB and not much farther from Mc Neil High School. However that's where the good points stop. I am sorry to say that this property has roaches. Not the occasional bug come in from out doors, but I mean a real PROBLEM in multiple buildings with german cockroaches. I have never, ever had roaches before. Ever. And I had to call them 6 separate times to spray my apartment last summer (2014). I was finally told to make sure I just called every week to 'keep up with the problem'. I finally did get rid of the roaches but only after I hired my own pest control company to come in and spray and seal everything. Also, this place is NOT well lit. There are dark corners and spaces all over the place and frankly it's creepy. As a single woman living alone, I'm honestly scared to walk around this place at night. Not only are there too many dark corners but there have started to be more and more people just... hanging around? doing nothing, after dark, in the complex. And btw don't move here unless you enjoy walking to your apartment. Parking is ridiculous. I routinely have to park all the way at the front of the complex and walk to my building all the way at the back (about 3 blocks) if I don't get home before 7pm. As far as noise... I can say most of the residents under the previous management (which changed hands in Oct/Nov of 2014) were quiet and I rarely heard from them. but that was the residents, not the walls. Now, there are more and more people moving in who are much more noisy. And you can hear them well enough to know what movie/TV program they are watching (at 4am, mind you.) I have had to call courtesy officers twice about noise since the management changed (never had to before) and both times I got a voice mail, where I left a message but I have no idea if anyone responded or not (there was no change in the noise level). On top of this both I and my friend who lives in a separate building have experienced 'lost' or 'miscalculated' rent issues on their portal. (Again, this is the new management company, no the old one.) The staff does not typically follow up when you ask questions or if you need assistance. More than once I have put in a maintenance request that never was answered at all. Also, the maintenance staff does not change lightbulbs, even though some are more than 11' off the ground in the center of the room... not something that can be easily or safely accessed without a ladder. So... overall... yes this place is a great deal for the square footage in this neighborhood. But you do get what you pay for.

Artisan put me through the application process from hell. During my application process I talked to 4 different people as Emely would not follow up, did not know specials and had her manager (I get this part) follow up to tell me what I would be reimbursed. From my experience Emely needs a lot of work with follow up and knowing what it is she is selling and Kayla needs to figure out what her properties small print is in the application process and work up to her role assistant manager. If you do rent from here, don't bother with Emely. You are in better hands with Rachael or Kevin.

I lived in the Artisan apartments for about two yrs. I first lived in there one bedroom apartment. I liked it a lot and the bedroom was HUGE. Big enough for me to have my side and 3yr old to have his side. I liked it a lot at first. On the west side there are a lot of families and a lot of little kids out all the time especially in the summer. For my second yr my brother wanted to move in with me. So I loved into the 2 bedroom townhome on the East side of the complex. Right when I moved in my brother had pointed out roaches. We called the office right away. They set up roach hotels but they never seemed to go away. We kind of dealed with it the first few months and then our townhome got infested with BEDBUGS! The whole East was infested. I had to throw out all my furniture and move just to get rid of the bedbugs. I lost a lot of money with all the furniture I had to throw away. I moved out just because of it. There are a lot of drugies and drug dealers on the East side of the townhomes/apartments as well. I suggest no one should move in here. There cheaper for a reason!!!

I have lived at Artisan 2.5 years and highly recommend it. The location is convenient, the grounds are attracive, and both the office staff and maintenance staff members are excellent at what they do. The concrete construction of the buildings keeps sound down, which is very important to me.

Artisan is simply home. Our needs are met in a timely manner, our concerns are never downplayed. I applaud the office and maintenance staff for their service to our community. Not enough words to express the quality of living that Artisan provides.

Overall a great apartment complex. There are always pet owners that do not follow protocol when they chose not to pickup after their pets. Unfortunately, since my surrounding area has some prime areas pet waste is not picked up all the time.

Extremely poor outdoor lighting, dog park is pitch black after dark & unsafe with no lighting. Walking areas between dog park and the houses across the street are very dark and unsafe. Numerous lights are always out along buildings making it dark and unsafe to walk dogs early morning or at night.

Artisan apartments is a middle of the road apartment complex and meets most of the criteria you would look for, like price, size, noise, etc... However, don't ask for packages to be delivered here. The system we were promised was that all packages were immediately captured and an email would go out notifying the resident of the package (with special notes if something is perishable). This would also be followed up with a note in the mailbox. After living here and having dozens of packages delivered, I can say that I've never seen this system happen. I've only received an email once and one separate time had a note in my mailbox. The rest of the time it's up to me to follow up, often repeatedly, and see if a package is there or not. Even with me doing this the staff often doesn't check or just doesn't notice my packages sitting there which leads to things being sent back or a lengthy delay in actually receiving my stuff. In a recent case I was expecting some perishable goods worth a few hundred dollars, so I called every day for a week (Monday thru Saturday).. only to be told each time that nothing was there. I then received a call on a Sunday saying that a package hd been sitting there and was smelling badly and needed to be thrown away. The staff couldn't tell me how long it was sitting in the room for. This type of issue exemplifies why I would recommend someone staying here. Or stay but don't expect your packages to get to you with any regularity.

I like the convenient location and access to things I need. All of the lighting makes me feel safer at night than other apartments I have lived in. The office staff is welcoming, but not good with packages. They are good about keeping us informed about activities.

My boyfriend lived here with a roommate before he transferred to another apartment downstairs with me so he has been around for a year now and I was practically living with him. They recently added a great dog area with water spout, plastic pool, and benches. It's of good size for them to run in and have shade on both sides. They also have a pool, a pool w/table, and a hot tub and all are very nice. The rec room and gym are well maintained and we use the gym often at night. When my bf moved from his place to ours they gave us 3 free days in the new place so that we could move everything over without rushing it in one day. I know he requested maintenance a few times and they always responded right away and fixed it. I LOVE that they now have a convenience store now (just opened this weekend) so now if need be we have a sit down restaurant, fast food, dry cleaning, a corner store, and a spa all on the complex. I couldn't ask for a better selection. The one thing that is bothering us is that when you refer someone to the complex you get $300. My bf referred his dad and he moved into his own apartment 6 months ago and my bf has not seen the $300. If we hadn't got our new apartment here he would have moved out of the old one and had no way to get the money.

I have just moved in and I really like it so far! I appreciate the office staff and the maintenance promptly handling any request that is needed. I do wish that they could help with the washer and dryer that I have, but I do understand the issue with liability.

Honestly, we never had many issues with the apartments until recently, and even so the good still outweighs the bad. The office staff could be friendlier and the look of the community could be updated, but compared to other apartments this size in Austin, you cant beat the price.

Ensure the apartment complex put everything in writing when giving a holding deposit. I was told about hardwood floors and no hardwood floors. Ask about parking and storage space. And if the signs say 'Luxury Apartments', its not! Artisan
