Horrible
Great place if you love to live with rats and roaches!! So noisy its hard to relax after work. Office staff seem to be in a constant state of confusion and contradict themselves often.

Not Good
When I first moved into the Coventry, my neighbor below me was harassing me saying that I was too loud. I was simply living in my apt. I was a single person, was not playing loud music, no parties; doing nothing out of the ordinary that would cause a lot of noise. Although, the walls at the Coventry are very thin and everything is herd from outside and above. I ended up having to move into another part of the complex because I was being bullied by my neighbor. Then after my lease was up, the Coventry management tried to raise my rent $150.00/month just too continuing living their. My place was definitely not worth that price. Management at the Coventry seems to be non-understanding of their customers and only seems to care about gaining profit.

happy resident
I have been very happy here. The staff has gone out of their way to help me w/ any problem. I really can't see these other comments being true.

Not good
If you live at The Coventry then you spend almost $7,500.00 a year which is probably your biggest expense. If that's the case then why does that office staff treat people so poorly? I've never seen such horrible customer service from the people in that office. I'll drop my rent check in the drop box just to avoid having to talk to someone.

Could be better...
I have lived at the Coventry since May 2005. My apartment itself is nice and am pleased with it. The staff needs to be completely replaced. Chad, Casey, and John are the most rude indivuduals I have ever worked with. They were very nice until I signed the lease. Also there is a problem with what looks like high school aged kids that dont belong in the apartments partying in the pools.

Recommended only if you are moving into a top floor apt
The amount of noise that comes thru the ceiling from the apt. above my is unbearable. The up-stair neighbors can wake me up by just walking up the stairs outside my bedroom. Look at other apts before signing a lease at Coventry.

LMAero employee.

Beware
I've lived here for a couple of years and this will be my last. Over the past 12 months, the staff has grown inattentive, the general maintanence has declined, the number of crimes has increased, and the place generally has "jumped the shark". All of the tenant mailboxes were recently broken into and the general response from both local management and the headquarters (owned by Equity properties) has been little more than a shoulder shrug and an "oh well!". The mailboxes are outside of the security gate, open to the public, and held shut with a cheap lock more suitable for carry-on-luggage than protecting one of the most critical aspects of your personal life. Now that all of our identities have been stolen and management wants to play the "not our problem" game, I'm going to get out of the place and let them finish filling the joint with section 8 renters and people that park their abandoned crapwagon volkswagen beetles in the best parking spaces for literally years at a time with no recourse. I hate to talk bad about the place, as for a while there, they had things together, but seem to have dropped customer service off of their radar. Too bad, but fair warning has been given.

Hmmm
We have lived her for exactly one year and we are leaving ASAP. Yes, it started off very nicely, but then parking got bad, our ceiling has been leaking for 6 months and the 48hr maintenace gurantee is a joke. Our psntry door has fallen off 8 times nearly hitting my roommate in the back of the head once. People say it is the TCUers with attitude but in all actuallity it is the regular nonstudent residents who have caused probelms. People give out our gate code to everyone and now the people at the pool are almost always people who do not live here. It was told to me that some people that went to a local high school give out our gatecode so that they can drink and go swimming at our pool without getting caught. The students who live here are respectable. The problem lies also in the fact that they changed the water prices. We used to pay for just our use, now we are expected to pay per occupant and square footage. Our $22 bill doubled to $59 and that my friends sucks. tHEY ALSO say that we must have renters insurance and without explanation said we must get it or we can;t live here. I have had enough with the coventry and although I used to love it, we must go. Take that into consideration before moving. Also there has been one car parked in a prime spot for a whole year that we have repeatedly asked to be moved, but no move, so we go.

A little less enthusiastic this time around.
Back in '05, I wrote a review talking about how wonderful this place was. I guess I sorta put my foot in my mouth with that one. True, there are much, much worse places than The Coventry. When we moved in in late '04, things couldn't have been better. We had just gotten out of a really bad apartment complex just a few miles north on Bryant Irvin, so The Coventry looked/sounded/and WAS a wonderful place. Fast forward to now. We're about to sign our 3rd, and probably final, lease. Our rent is going up to almost $800 a month, for a 2 bedroom/1 bath. Admittedly, that's with a discount and probably cheaper than we might find elsewhere in the area, but it seems like we're not getting everything we once paid for. I'm disappointed too, because we loved it here for the first 2 or so years, but things are changing. The requirements for living there seem to have gone way, WAY down. There are still the TCUers, professionals, but a different class of people seem to slowly be moving in. I've often begun to wonder if Section 8 tenants are being allowed to live there. The parking situation is atrocious. I work a shift where I get home close to midnight or 1am. I usually end up having to park 3 or 4 buildings away. The lighting isn't great enough for me to feel comfortable walking that far in the dark. We have neighbors who leave their trash by their door for days at a time. We do and have complained, and management IS good about having them remove it that same day, but it happens all the time, and there's only so much they can do. Other neighbors have friends who abandon 3 or 4 cars at a time in the parking lot around the building...one has been there at least 5 months and hasn't moved. We've been in the situation where we don't really know if we should complain, because the persons these vehicles belong to look intimidating at best. I'd love to get a carport or garage, but at $35/$75 a month a pop, it's just not possible right now, especially with our rent increase. The kids in neighboring buildings are out of control. They skateboard at all times of the day and night, and you can hear the slams of their boards inside your apartment, even with the windows closed. There have been times where they've yelled obscenities at me, because I've asked them to move so I can park. We've gotten several crime flyers over the past year...daytime break ins, someone setting fire to doors, and even a flasher at one point. Still, management has for the most part always been nice, maintenance has always been right on top of our complaints/requests, and the grounds are always pretty nice (except for the busted --- cars I mentioned earlier), and the gates always work, or are fixed usually that same day. I do want to stress that I believe most of the problems here come from the residents, not the management or staff. If I had known it would end up this way, I might not have moved in here to begin with. Like I said before though, there are much worse places to live. I supposed this is one of those issues where it depends on what you're looking for in an apartment community as to whether or not this place is right for you.

Looks Can Be Deceiving
Coventry looks good on the outside, but it is not worth the money. This place is very noisy. There are tons of college students who party way too much. There are also people who make noise at all hours of the night. These issues would not be a problem if the construction was better. The walls and ceilings are too thin. Not to mention, management will do nothing about the noise. I contacted them six times, called the onsite security officer once, and called the police department once. Nothing was done. Now I just have to hope I can get at least a few hours of sleep each night and wait until the lease is up so I can leave.

Other problems include traffic which is insane, very limited parking unless you don't mind walking a long distance to your aparment, and dog crap. Everyone has a dog and crap is all over the grass. ONLY walk on the sidewalk.

these "great" reviews are odvisously bogus and manufatured by employees of The Coventry
after reading the 3 posted positive reviews of the conventry - i had too laugh to myself - i'm just thankful that my lease is up this month - i have 2 neighbors that just moved out this month and are SO HAPPY that their lease was up - they are so happy to be out of here - the staff is horriable - especially the manager Debbie - HOW SHE EVER LANDED HER POSITION IS AMAZING - and there's also an idiot named CASEY in the office that is the a completely unprofessional and it's amazing that she is allowed to work w/the public/and in this industry. Great view ? YES, if you live in the very back - there are lots of break ins here - AND GREAT STAFF- that is the biggest joke of all - ONCE YOU SIGN ON THE DOTTED LINE, YOU ARE JUST ANOTHER RESIDENT - IT'S AMAZING HOW NICE & HELPFULL THEY ALL ARE BEFORE YOU SIGN, UNTIL YOU SIGN. WHAT A JOKE !!!!! THE STAFF WAS A PAIN AND UNPLEASANT TO DEAL WITH - AND THE INSULATION WAS VERY POOR - I AS WELL AS NEIGHBORS HAD TONS OF LEAKS - THEREFORE - UTILITIES WERE VERY VERY VERY HIGH.

I like it here.
I've lived here for almost a year and a half and I guess my only complaint is that I wish it costed less to live here. ITs not that its not worth it, its just that everyone feels entitled to a safe and a healthy place to live. Why shouldn't every place be like the Coventry? Its hard to live alone and pay almost $900 a month for rent but it does give me more than enough space to have my home office here, also ready for guests at any time. I have had some minor issues with repairs but its not for the office staff's lack of trying. IT just took a while to get a contractor that could fix the job. All my maintenance requests have been answered within 48 hours. I do occassionally have a really noisy neighbor but I just call up the courtesy officer or the office and they take care of it in quick fashion. My most difficult decision next lease term will be whether to move to a less expensive place or not. It would be hard to give all of this up.
