The apartment community is an affordable option for the Houston area. Maintenance is responsive and prompt. However, overall cleanliness and upkeep of grounds would be much appreciated. Trash bins often overflow and residents leave trash outside of the designated area. This makes it an eyesore when entering the property. Management response is that residents are moving out and that can be anytime throughout the month. Enclosing these areas could aide. In addition the halls and stairwells are not swept at all. Often times, residents leave trash outside their apartment causing animals to come and destroy the trash bags as well as creating mold spots on the floor. The windows do not have any screens and any conversation that occurs outside can be heard from inside the apartment.

We are working really hard to make positive changes to the property. We are working on getting a better parking situation for visitor here in 2016 and we did just install all new LED lighting throughout the property.     I enjoy living on this property. I really do not have any problems. The office staff is very helpful and professional. Any problems that I have are fixed in a timely manner. Security is always outside riding around the complexes which is good.

      They are working on making property better. Still lots of noise at night from tenants. Train is quite loud also. Problem with roaches but they spray every other week. New appliances are nice. Really like the washer & dryer in the apartment. A/C units are old & need replacing.

        Awesome apartment very satisfied with everything especially the staff; they are very polite responsive and go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy living there. I had a few minor issues that required maintenance attention; it was all easily and quickly resolved; all in all very happy.

          Great apartment! Very spacious, and quite place! Feel as I am in luxury apartment!! Staff is amazing very professional!! I love this place! only drawback is neighborhood can get scary at night! Other than that definitely great apartment for price!!

            Overall the apartment is nice. I kinda wish my apartment door wasn't so hard to close, and its a small gap in between my door and the wood that secures that the door lock I can see the out side. Other wise things are ok. I wish the gate is more secure and not broke.

              So far it's been an enjoyable experience... No complaints..my side of the community is very quite. No problems from my neighbors at all. The staff and maintenance have been nothing but generous and helpful in all of my issues. I'm going to enjoy my experience here

                The community is quiet and I do not experience many issue outside of simple maintenance problems that randomly occur. Parking is not an issue. The train and metro rail can become an inconvienence during the day and night hours. Finding an alternative route home is a must. Overall the property is nice. The staff is really helpful and does their best to address any issues.

                  This is my first apartment ever. So I guess keep that in mind when reading my review. I have lived here since July 2015 so not so long as of right now. Pros: The apartment is HUGE! the floor plan is GREAT! and I love having a washer and dryer in the unit, it is very convenient. I rarely have any issues with finding parking near my building (normally I am parked right outside my unit). I have never felt unsafe. I have used the metrorail a couple times and it is very convenient being located right outside the complex. There is a security guard here most of the time and he even approached me when I came home very late to make sure I was okay. All my maintenance requests are handled in a timely manner! also its nice to be 15 min away from downtown Houston. Cons: (only reason I gave an average rating) When we first moved in here I freaked out because of the tiny roaches (i think german roaches) that were all over our kitchen and sometimes bathroom... i got "lucky" and never had any in my bedroom. We assumed the apartment was vacant for a while and this was just a normal problem with apartments in general. I have pest control come spray bi-weekly and I still see atleast one or two every other day. I try to just push it to the back of my mind and believe itll be taken care of. (our entire building even got sprayed at once and i still see them) appliances in the non updated units are pretty old. im not even confident my disposal is really doing it's job right. If you live here you will live right by the train tracks.. this is pestering for obvious reasons. The train can hold you up for atleast 20 min some times. (i normally just take another way instead of wait which still adds to commutes) and you will hear train horns 24/7. oddly enough I am pretty used to it and it doesn't really bother me. The neighborhood isn't super beautiful or anything.

                    The staff is ok the complex is poorly maintained and for the amount of money spent in Rent the cosmetics could be a lot better. People eave trash all over the complex and no ones doing anything to police it. The upgraded units are nice n basic. I really only moved here for the convenience other than that this place wouldn't have even made the top 5 pick.

                      Joy was very quick to input my problem down into the system and the issue of the drying making the apartment too warm was resolved quickly. I would guess that it was around ten minutes after I told her the issue, where a maintanence guy showed up at my door.

                        So far I am not pleased! At least the office staff are pleasant and respectful whenever I go in. I'm still waiting on work orders to be completed that were submitted nearly a month ago. Residents constantly leave their trash next to the dumpster instead of putting it inside. I'm still battling with roaches. The neighbors' dogs bark for hours at a time. I feel like I'm living in the projects!!! The only thing this place has going for itself is space. The apartments are very large and there's lot of storage space!!

                            Nice wish there was more plants around the complex. Also I wish they cleaned the buildings Windows and doors more often. Also some things like rails for stairs are loose and in safe. Other than that they are very responsive to community needs.

                              It is nice here but the maintenance needs to finish their work in a timely manner. I like it here, however there are some things in the house that are messed up and we were not here yet when the damages were here. Our dryer is very old as well. We need a new one.

                                I like the space and quality of the apartments given the location. The staff is nice and tries to their best to solve situations if any. I think the complex is perfect for students or fresh graduates as a starter apartment! Very quiet neighborhood and neighbors, so far no crime activity. Couldn't be happier for a first time renter.

                                  Great customer service. Budiling is continuously being upgraded and renovated, so it is understandable to be dealing with the maintenece situations. When staff is contacted, they make the requests to the proper entities, and get it handled quickly.

                                      Very satisfied. Would rather have a better cable/internet system, preferably AT&T or Comcast. When I first moved in maintenance was on point, but with the new management the response time seems to be slower now. I love the fact that the monorail system is right outside the complex, but do not enjoy the wait time for the railroad train which is in the direction that we leave the complex and the frequency that the railroad train runs during the day, seven days a week. I did have a mold problem. I called it in but there was no response. A maintenance worker did come by but not for the mold problem. I did show him the items and the furniture that had the coverings of mold but decided to get an outside company to help since there was no response from the office staff. But all in all I've enjoyed living in the apartment complex and plan to stay another year.

                                        Overall good experience would just like those 2 things fixed and will be all squared away. Apartments are big and comfortable when you move in. Would prefer if the apartments also had microwaves only thing lacking in the kitchen. But other than that I good experience so far.

                                          Maintenance crew effectively fix issues in a timely manner. Apartments are large and well built in metal buildings. Conviniently located inside loop 610 with quick access to downtown houston. University of Houston is 10 minutes drive from here.

                                            Not a bad place.. but the Staff could use work with communication. Be a little more alert on major issues that is communicated to the residents, example: Water outage one morning wasn't told to residents and I was late work because I couldn't use water.

                                              Needs a different size of trash dumpster because it's frequently over filled.And than trash is dumped on the ground.I would like to set more security. Improve the lighting in the parking areas. I have enjoyed working with the management in regards to maintenance issues and concerns. They have been very helpful.

                                                Dear Resident, We have changed the trash picked up from two days a week to three days a week so this should solve the trash overflow issue. We also have the guard on property during the day and night now. As far as the lighting goes we did do a light check last week and should have all the building lights currently working.                                                 Both front office and maintenance staff are always professional on their job.I would recommend metro 5514 to any body who has interest in living here . My maintenance job just took few minutes to get it fixed after reporting to the front office.

                                                  I honestly was nervous about moving into this complex due to the community(Southpark)but these apartments are awesome, I always see the security guard riding around (hope it stays that way). I sometimes I get home super late but there is so many different sections to park in and they are all convenient. oh btw maintenance fix issues in a speedy time limit. The apartment is gorgeous from my room, the restroom, and the kitchen :) . I haven't had anything bad to say yet, hopefully I wont. Management is doing an awesome job !!!
