Please don't be fooled-This place is horible!

We moved here so that I could be close to my job in the medical center. Not to mention the amount of square feet was a big plus. However, if we then what we know now, we would have NEVER moved here. Where do I begin.... I have had to contact the cooperate office numerous times because of the VERY unprofessional staff. One incident in particular was when had mold in our apartment after Ike and I was told that they would send mantience out the next day to look at it. This was not done. So I contacted the manager, ---------, and she stated she PERSONALLY come at handle the situation. This again was not done. The orginal work order was submitted in December. Only after calling cooperate in February was the matter addressed. Just simply unacceptable! One day I came home and on my door that was a note stating that I owed money for past due water/sewer for several months, $80.00. This was untrue because I ALWAYS paid with a check (they were unprofessional, sneaky and I did not trust them with a money order). I and numerous other residents had to go meet with --------- with all receipts. I'm sooo glad I keep everything. My appointment was with her at 4:45 (right after work) she was in her office on her personal cell phone talking extremely loudly. She was informed twice that I was waiting. The second time she stated (I could hear her) I heard you the first time. I come in her office and she is hanging up her personal cell and she had a gentlemen in the office that does not work there....ummmmm. She was suppose to call me back when things were cleared.....she never did. Rumor has it that -----------, who was fired, was stealing all money orders and making them out to herself. I asked --------- at that time when the repairs around the property would be completed. She said soon....we are now entering another hurricane season next month and NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE!!! And to TOP IT ALL OFF....it was reported to me that one of the residents was robbed at gun point in the parking lot. The person stated that the office knew of the incident. However, it was never told to all residents. I called cooperate personal and told them to address this issue (by law they have to inform all residents when issues as such take place). A week after I called cooperate notices were sent out. I could go on and on about this horrible place, but I think you get the picture. DON"T BE FOOLED......This is not the place to live! My lease is up in a month and a half. I'm packing now, because I will not spend one more day here than I have to.

    Give them a Chance

    I read the reviews that SkyView I recieved. But for the last Five months the staff has been change I have lived at this complex for more than 8 years and see office staff come and go. but I do give thank to Miss Chris she was with us when Ike came made sure that everyone that buckle down threw IKE she made sure we had food water and ice she went out her way to make sure that my mother had her Meds and any one else who mit need Meds sent she an her son went go and get them Miss Mary came in after 3 or 4 days after and they both was in the office an going door to door to make sure that her family that is what she call us had what they need before night came cuase we out of power for a good 10 days. I under stand that things in your apartment don't get done as fast that you mit want them to happen put give them some time they are Just now getting it to gether.

      OH MY GOD

      ------- AND ---- ARE TRIFE!!!! IF THEY SPEND LESS TIME ---------------------- AND MORE TIME PUTTING IN WORK ORDERS FOR DAMAGES THEN MAYBE THE APARTMENTS WOULDN'T BE SO BAD. THERE IS NO SECURITY I CAME HOME ONE DAY FROM THE CLUB AND SAW SOMEONE CAR SITTING ON A SUITCASE THEY HAD STOLE ALL 4 TIRES AND RIMS OFF HIS CAR. THEY BROKE INTO MY CAR. THE TRASH OVERFLOWS. IT'S JUST A MESS AND LETS NOT TALK ABOUT THE OFFICE STAFF. ------- THINK SHE IS IT WITH THAT UGLY --- FACE OF HERS. AND ---- OL AFRICAN --- IS TRYING TO FOOL PEOPLE. I CAN'T STAND THEM.

        This is a GREAT place to move if.....

        you'd love to have pubic hair and a ring around your bathtub that consists of the previous tenant's --- crumbs and dead skin cells!(upon moving in) you enjoy the smell of fish in your refrigerator! (upon moving in) you like permanent damage done to your brand new furniture, jewelry and clothing by maintenance!(the furniture was delivered and was damaged the next day, i have never received any type of reimbursement for my property) you enjoy wet carpet that smells like old socks and dogs.(upon moving in) you enjoy carpet with spots of something real unfamiliar.(upon moving in) And lastly if you enjoy dealing with the most unprofessional staff i have ever come in contact with in my entire life!!!! You have to write corporate to get things done.....---- comes off as a nice person, but she is really two faced....------- tried to ---- my boyfriend and she's a natural ----- anyway! And ------'s sorry --- never wants to handle her business as the manager, she is NEVER around, and when she is there, she locks herself in her office and sends ---- and ------- to relay messages to tenants about issues that they have!!! They ALL need to be fired!!!!! That includes ----------- the district manger! I think he should be fired because he has allowed this unprofessional behavior to go on for way too long!!!! that tells me that he is no better than those lazy --- hoes in that office!!!! I would never recommend this complex to anyone!!!!! EVER!!!! ....unless these are thing that you enjoy!

          Unprofessional Staff and Unsafe Environment

          I am a former tenant of Skyview and through out my stay there has been really bad. First off I would like to say that the Office staff are Lazy and you can't get anything done. They never have answers just a bunch on excuses. I would submit a maintenance request for something simple like a A/C filter and it takes them 2 wks to come out. Besides the A/C really didn't work... So i would just catch the maintenance man on property and ask him for whatever I need this was much faster than calling the office. If you complain about a tenant they will TELL that tenant what YOU complained about.. Talk about confidentiality!!! Secondly, someones car was always getting either stolen, or broken into, or someone was getting robbed at gunpoint. Thank God I got out while I could. When I finaaly moved out I made sure that I cleaned my apartment so that I could get back my $150 deposit. Why I only got back $88? Reason being was because they said that " the carpeting was stained and that they split the cost with me". I hardly ever had company.. so there was no traffic, my apt was always clean, everytime I renewed my lease I got my carpet cleaned, I was there for 4 years it was time for the carpet to be changed for the next tenants. Candace and Mary ( the one with the RED Navigtor) stays late I will be coming in from work around 10 at night and THEY are still there.. They must be figuring out a way to keep scheming off the tenants.. Nicole the property manager.. All I could say is She really don't have a clue.. she just tells you whatever to either get you off the phone or out of the office..

            WORST PLACE EVER. MANAGEMENT IS LAZY. NOTHING GETS ACCOMPLISHED.

            I ALMOST LOST MY RELIGION WHEN I MOVED HERE. I HAVE BEEN HERE FOR AMONTH AND WANT TO BLOW SOMETHING UP. CANDACE IS A LIL HELPFUL BUT STILL NOTHING GETS ACCOMPLISHED. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE. I THINK IM GOING TO START A PROTEST AT THE LEASING OFFICE. THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT SKYVIEW IS THE AMOUNT OF SPACE, BUT THERE IS NO PATIO.. SO THAT STINKS. BUT I HAVE HAD A ROUGH FIRST MONTH HERE. ITS HOT AS HELL, THE ELECTICITY RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF FROM TIME TO TIME FOR HOURS AND NO ONE DOES ANYTHING ABOUT IT YOU HAVE TO JUST WAIT FOR IT TO COME BACK ON. THE OTHER NIGHT IT SHUT OFF AT 4AM AND I WAS SO MAD. THE GATE ALWAYS BREAKS SO YOU ARE LOCKED IN OR OUT. ITS PRETTY QUIET THOUGH, SHOCKINGLY. THERE IS ALWAYS PARKING. AND ITS CONVENIENT FOR ME BECAUSE OF WHERE I WORK AND GO TO SCHOOL. I WOULD BREAK MY LEASE BUT I DONT WANT MY CREDIT TO GET MESSED UP, BUT I AM TRYING TO FIND A WAY AROUND IT. THE PREGNANT ONE IS LAZY DONT ASK HER FOR ANYTHING SHE WILL TREAT YOU LIKE A 5 YR OLD AND NEVER GET ANYTHING DONE. IF SOMETHING HAPPENS THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND FOR MONTHS. I STILL HAVE NOT RECIEVED MY MAILBOX KEY SO I ASK "HOW DO I PAY MY BILLS". IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME. IT SUCKS REALLY BAD! DONT DO IT. BUT I GUESS YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!! THERE IS JUST SO MUCH TO SAY. IM NOT USUALLY A COMPLAINER, I AM HIGHLY BLESSED AND AM THANKFUL FOR EVERYTHING I HAVE BEEN BLSSED WITH...               OKAY BUT LOUD TRAIN

              i'd say the bad news first: have lived at sky view for a little more than 6 months. We lived on the third floor, close to apartment entrance. This wasn't too smart of an idea , as there is a loud train that goes by every 10mins!!! and NO... you don't get used to the noise! When you move in, they don't tell you anything about the train so beware!!!! i am pretty sure even people at the back hear the train too! Another thing i wasn't a fan of were the stray dogs in the apartment, and the random woman that came in to search the garbage can.(but this was a one time thing.. i never saw her again though) Well.. let's go to the good stuff. there's a whole lotta square footage and a functioning washer and drier, parking is not a problem I don't know about the other reviews but i thought management was urgent. Once our heater wasn't working, and the bath tub was clogged, the problem was attended to within 24 hours - no kidding! and it NEVER came back! i read some reviews about roaches but we haven't seen any! I lived on the 3rd floor so i never heard any loud noise or disturbance from neighbors.. but then when you rent an apartment you never want anyone living above you... Yes, the area is not the best and the gate is sometimes left open, but security is not a problem! Besides, i would think security would be more of a problem if you live within the med center area, where everyone is presumed to have lots of $$$$$. As far as safety, common now, we're in Houston, so be careful... especially females.. don't wonder about the apartment or the area at night. It's as simple as that! my lease expires this month, so i'm leaving to be far away from that TRAIN as possible, as i am a light sleeper. Every apartment is gonna have its qualms so if you're looking for perfection, be ready to show some $$$$$! I know this may sound trivial but if that train (yes, i am saying it again) wasn't there.. i might have stayed longer.

                SKYVIEW IS NEVER GONNA BE A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE

                It doesnt matter what anyone says about the horrible staff or what happens here. Nobody will ever do anything!Im not condoning what the people in the office do; stealing (Christina),lying (Christina),sleeping with residents (Ms.Mary). Everyone in that office don't know anything about work or customer service. And the maintence staff are nothing but drunks. Work orders never get done; I still have damage and mold growing from Hurricane Ike. I bet if I had liquor in my house or some outside of my porch they would fix my stuff ontime. All I can say is I cant wait to get out of here and if they stealing like everyone says they are can I get your number so I can get my cut or my rent back. This place is going down fast and the owners dont care so thats why nobody else does either.

                  Skyview Resident til I buy a House

                  When residents get evicted for their mistakes it is always someone elses fault... Instead of coming out and saying nasting things about people you dont even know residents should abide by the rules and regulations of the property and they wouldnt be EVICTED. The girls in the office actually help out the situations if you would come to the office and speak with them and be on the lease instead of moving in people that are not on the lease and by law they cannot speak with them. It takes alot to run an office and take care of 300 people on a case by case basis so it might take time to set appointments but to keep stating that people are negative words you would not dare call your mother is inappropriate. Also to talk about pests and safety that sometimes can be controlled at the tenents expense is not fair to blame the staff at skyview. I have lived at Skyview for 2 years and the office staff are helpful when I come in and speak with them. Now YES sometimes things are forgotten but who doesnt forget things so I suggest you look at yourself and your life before you judge others. Think about it if there were so many things wrong when you first moved in then why did you stay or even sign the lease??!! Remember people with negative things to say about others arent so happy in their lives either...just a little food for thought...Have a nice day

                    WARNING: NOOOOOOOO!!!!!

                    Okay, me and my boyfriend only stayed there about 3 months and on the 4th month, it got so bad we just had to break our lease and leave, we didn't even care. There are so many things wrong with this place I don't know where to begin. SAFETY: the safety here is a BIG issue, people are always fighting, smoking weed, and oh my God, EVERYONE gets robbed. Within three weeks, my friend got his car STOLEN and the management failed to do ANYTHING about it. Even though it is a gated community, the gate is constantely broken and EVERYONE thug and felon knows the gate code. PESTS: When we first moved into the unit, it looked great because of the huge space and washer/dryer unit but little did we know we would be living it a true ---- hole. The place is infested with little and big roaches! And we saw a few silverfish. MANAGEMENT: Everyone is the office is a total B*TCH. They are just miserable women with too much power. Don't bother complaining to them about a damn thing because they take way too long to fix any problems. When we first moved in, the toilet was broken and full of ----, garbage disposal didn't work and the AC was broken and they only have like 2 maintenance men working on site when there should be an entire crew. It took them too long to fix these problems. It took about a month and a half for them to send an exterminator. And the second time we needed an exterminator, they didn't even send him. The manager Nicole is a miserable --- woman who needs to go to hell. Candice is another office worker and I swear, 98% of the tenants hate her guts and want her to burn in hell. My boyfriend and I called the regional manager at corporate on them, and she is a miserable b*tch just like the rest of them, assuming they are all friends with hopeless careers. And i heard the prices are going up and that is NOT worth it. Heed my warning: DO NOT LIVE HERE! You will just be angry and among the hundreds of tenats that are living under slum lords.

                      There not bad at all for the price!!!!

                      I have lived here about 3 years and the area is not all that ideal. However, if your a student its afforable, spacious and you have a full size washer and dryer. As for the management, yes I have dealt with their nasty attitudes several times, however they are still fair it depends on your attitude and paying on time. You get what you pay for. I have never had a car break in , there is no more noise than any other apt community and besides its afforable and you dont have to leave to wash!!! What do you expect old as this area of town is??????

                        God-awful! Terrible!

                        I have never lived in worse apartments than Skyview. When I first moved in, I was really excited about the size of the apartment and the in-unit washer and dryer. That, of course, was until I found out that the shower didn't work, and there was no hot water in the bath tub either. Nearly THREE WEEKS after moving in, my shower was FINALLY fixed, but I still had no hot water coming out of the faucet. A friend of mine eventually came over with some tools and fixed it for me. As if that weren't bad enough, I had no way to check my mail for the first 3 1/2 months I lived here because I was never provided with a key to my mailbox. I went into that office twice a week to ask if I had a key yet, and I always got the same answer: "No, we haven't gotten a new lock for your mailbox yet - it should be any day, though." THREE AND A HALF MONTHS. Thankfully, if I happened to catch the mail person, he or she would give me whatever was in my box. Also, they tell you that they accept packages for you, but you'll find out that's definitely NOT the case when you try to have something delivered and they REFUSE it. My apartment smelled like mildew, had spiders and ROACHES, and had stained, loose carpet. In the middle of the room, the carpet was all wrinkled because it was old and needed to be replaced a LONG time ago. The front gate NEVER works, I've seen pitbulls running around without an owner, and some guy comes every morning to dig in the dumpsters. Employees WALK BY and ignore him like it's nothing! Try to get something fixed, and you'll not only get attitude from the girl in the front office, but it will take DAYS to get done. I absolutely do NOT recommend these apartments to ANYONE.

                          HATED IT

                          HATED IT MANAGEMENT STINKS Huge Space Big Prices I lived in these apt.for several years the Manager (NICOLE C.) needs to go to management school or something I dont know where she got her skills from .Every time you call to speak to her or leave messages for her to return your call she s too busy as if she is really working. But if you are a male she will be in your face with the quickness. She does not take care of the property IT SUCKS!!! MILDEW MILDEW MILDEW everywhere inside as well as out side the building. They tell you they have couresty officers when you move in completed NEVER SEEN THEM THEY SUCK TOO. You can call until you are blue in the face about work orders they are never because they never have stuff to fix things with. What kind of property can t afford to get the TRASH picked up the manger always is making excuses. It was just a shooting by the office when I was walking to check my mail a month ago. We never got notice from the manger about it. One maintenance guy has been there for some years poor guy works his butt off. Office staff SOSO, that Candace need to learn how to talk to people she is very rude.Oh they had a ST.Patrick Day party for the residents yeah it SUCKED they could have saved those little sandwiches and chips for themselves what kind of party is that for a big property that charges all that RENT. ROACHES ROACHES AND BIG ROACHES ,YOU KNOW ITS BAD WHEN YOU SEE THEM IN THE LEASING OFFICE. I WOULDN T DO IT IF I WERE YOU,RUN THE OTHER WAY.

                            Worst apartment I ever stayed in!!

                            First off I thought they palce was lovely the model that they showed. These apartments are pre- fabricated material. Anything that touches your walls leaves scuff mark(cheap paint I guess),windows have no good seal you can hear everything like you are outside and moisture sets up causing mold and mildew. The apartments have water floating under them I know because in my boiler room(the room in your bathroom)the floor has a hole in it where you can see under and all you see is water. So this causes pest(roaches and spiders). They spray every Fri. that doesnt help though and they always forget to put you on the list even though you call that day. The trash is horrible I mean its everywhere and for like one week we didnt have the trash picked up so it was everywhere. The gate is always broke. I mean I can go on and on....... If you want my advise its not worth your money I pay 780 for a two bd. I could have found something nice if my husband wasnt leaving to go overseas.

                              Please Don't

                              Pros: 1. Spacious apartment with walk-in closets 2. Washer and Dryer included Cons: 1. Leasing agents have terrible attitudes(especially the mananger) 2. After maintenance comes by to fix a problem the problem will be back soon 3. Roaches, spiders and their friends 4. Numerous car break-ins and kick doors 5. Numerous loud parties 6. The walls are incredibly thin, don't do anything u don't want your neighbors to to know about 7. I know this complaint is strictly about location but if u sleep light dont ecpect to get much sleep because there is a train depot right next door 8. There is only one way in and one way out so if the gate breaks (which it has several times)you will be stuck either in or out 9. Yes your car will get towed whether or not there is proper signage. As you can see the bad outweighs the good so from personal experience I would advise against living at skyview apartments at palmcenter.

                                Okay apartments

                                I have lived in these apartments for about 5 months now. Apartments are great inside, spacious, well equipped (washer and dryer inside). Staff are not the most helpful people. I've had to complain about refrigerator several times, staff comes to fix it in about two days, then problem comes back in about a month. Noisy towards back of complex but I live in the front so the only major noise problem is the TRAIN!! It is EXTREMELY LOUD!! I've seriously lost alot of sleep do to the train running about 4-6 times a day/night... With a horn that wakes me up... As for saftey, no problem.. Besides the random guys that stare or try to talk to you every now and then.. If you get a front apartment, you should be fine. The back doesnt seem to be safe at all though...

                                Don't do it

                                My experience with living at these apartments was in no way ideal. The manager Nicole is a b**ch, don't complain to her because everything else she is doing is way more important than whatever has gone wrong in your apartment. The insulation is horrible, the walls are so thin. If its hot outside, it'll be hot in the apartment, vice versa. If people are outside you can hear their whole conversation without even trying. My next door neighbor would smoke weed everyday and I could smell it just by sitting in my living room. Its not safe, just about everytime I went to pay rent there was someone complaining about their car or apt getting broke into. Thank God I didnt have that problem. There are a lot of college aged kids in the complex so they like to have loud parties and leave their trash all over. I don't even think there are suppposed to be dogs over 20lbs in the complex but several people have pit bulls. I would see this one lady with her pit bull out everyday and she never put a leash on this dog. The maintanence only fixes your stuff long enough for you to stop complaining. I had a few issues I had to call about several times because they would never fix it all the way. The bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs, and more bugs not little cute bugs you could just step on and go about your business, cockroaches that jump out of your cabinets and scare the ---- out of you. You can call the office and get your apartment exterminated every friday free of charge but speaking from experience, that only lasts a few days, then after a while in seemed like they became immune to the stuff they wouldnt even die. Spiders a big problem too, there are so many trees and bushes around the bugs flourish. A possum almost attacked me one time too. Bottom line, unless you want to live around loud people all the time, complain to a rude leasing office, and feel unsafe then move to skyview at palm center, they'll give you all that and more.

                                  do not be fooled these apts are not what they are made out to be. The staff is fu***ng terrible nothing never gets done if it does it will take about 2-3 weeks for them to fix the problem.. Someone tried to kick my door in when i was at work and i dont even talk to anybody so nobody in these apts no me so what the hell they trying to break in for. another thing is roaches little ones and HUGE ones this place is a damn hell hole dont live here unless its your last choice.

                                    NO, NO, NO!

                                    I lived here in 2006. The price was kind of high, but the apartment itself was ok. Safety became an issue for me. Someone started trying to open my front door by just grabbing the door knob and pushing the door in as if they were trying to break in at 2'O clock in the morning, Mind you I didn't know anyone that lived there and only my parents knew that I was living there. It took them a month to replace my refridgerator and it was leaking some brown looking stuff all over the floor and I told them about that the the day I moved-in and put it on the check-list also, that they give you for any issues you may have when you are moving in/out. My car was flooded badly the day AFTER I moved in!!! They need to do better with their safety issue and keeping the gates fixed. Management has attitude problems as well, they can be rude.

                                      I lived in these apartments with my friend for 7 months. At the end of February 2005, someone broke into our apartment and robbed us. They took everything and the police wouldn't do anything about it. We moved out the next day and would not recommend these apartments to anyone.

                                        Apartments are very large for the price, washer and dryer included. Safety is an issue, i had my car and two of my friends cars broken in the same night. i had another friend get mugged and there are ambulances here at least twice a week for whatever reason.<br>

                                            I lived on this property from 2001 - 2004 and had no problems.NICE apartments one of the best kept on that side of town. Would love to move back if I ever move back on that side of town.

                                              a mixture of college sudents and families...not a great neighborhood, (though there is a police station next door) but the apt.s are VERY large, washer/dryer included, relatively cheap, and the staff is very nice
