Not the worst but not the best. Big apartment is nice but walls are thin. I personally had two leaks in two different apartments and I can't blame pipes on them but I haven't had this problem in my less quality college apt that I paid significantly less. New management might make things better. I can only speak for my experience under Thelmas management.

I just moved in, but my apartment is clean, staff was courteous, and I am happy so far! I am a bit nervous about safety because it is easy for people to come in via the car gate, but so far I have felt safe. I only wish there were a pool! My washer/ dryer and diswasher are great though.

I have been reading negative reviews since before I moved in here. I am going to put in my 2 cents. I have been here since October. When I moved in the counter top in the kitchen and bathrooms were all marked up but I was able to just note that in the walk through. Anytime I called for maintenance it was resolved that day or the next. Frank, who I have worked with during my lease was AWESOME!! I hope he is still here because he is truly a professional and great asset to the property. The only negative thing I have notice is that when I wipe down my refrigerator doors it seem that it was previous painted over and the old stain is coming through, I am hoping to repaint it myself when I get a free weekend it because it looks gross. NO ROACHES!! NO MOLD!! When we were notified of the new management it stated that all the apartments will be updated with new appliances, which is needed, and counter tops. If that do happens, and it will not be a huge increase in my rent I am looking forward to renewing my lease. There is plenty of parking and it is quiet for such a huge apartment complex. The most noise I here is the kids playing at the play ground or my neighbor yelling at her dog to hurry up and do her business...lol... Overall my experience is wonderful and I am looking forward to stay till the end of 2016, by time I would be ready for a house. If anything should change I will update it but I will not let one thing change my opinion about my experience here. These apartments are a nice and roomy. I am grateful for to live in a nice spacious apartment.

It was hell at first. The apartment was not ready. My prior rental was with Camden properties. This is a major difference. No flexibility with cable, nor furnishings, the amenities, and grounds. I'm under the impression I could at least have my cieling fan exchanged for my personal one since its an apartment home! The suggested rate increases were ridiculous and appauling. This isn't the worst place to live, but anything else goes wrong it wouldn't be goof.

Save yourself the trouble. This apartment has nothing going for it except the train that just opened over there. You can find much better places and much better service elsewhere.

We have been to the office concerning mold in our bathroom twice within the last month and still nothing has been done. The first visit was ignored and the second visit was met with a visit from the maintenance man, who promised to fix the problem the next day(3/25/15). No one has came to fix the problem, and now we not only have a mold problem that gets worse by the day but we also have a bathroom ceiling that looks like it can collapse at any moment from the weight of an apparently severe water leak. My roommate has been sick for a week and we all have asthma, this apartment is putting our physical well-being in jeopardy. Of course we have no way to contact management, and since it is after hours we can do nothing but wait and hope our ceiling doesn't fall and damage our belongings. The front office here does nothing but lie in the hopes that you'll leave, and we will be seeking legal action if this problem is not fixed tomorrow(3/31/15).

honestly, save your self the time and the money. this place is horrible. ROACHES EVERYWHERE!!!! From the first day I moved in I was greeted roaches. I talked to the office about it and it took them a week to get in company to deal with it, its so nasty I'm not even going to keep writing about it. everything is out dated and when you ask for something to be fixed, it will take them forever. Literally. It is exhausting trying to get things fixed and the management is just the worst. what security? what professionalism? CANNOT wait for my lease to be over.

Formerly known as Cityside Crossing. The apartments have mold and roaches. Run! Run! Run! Run! Pleaseeeeeeee do not stay here. I keep my place clean, so their explanation was that roaches must be coming from the neighbors. I have complained about mold for months, yet nothing has been done. When you bring things to their attention they have excuse after excuse. I cannot wait until my lease is up. I am fed up!

I lived in Cityside Crossing from April to November 2014. Horrible experience. Bugs and mold. The front office barely answers their phone. The manager, Thelma, is a big liar. She will tell you she will call you back or that she is working on your issue. She is not. Maintenance sometimes takes a day. Some times it takes 2 months. The front gate is always broken so it's free for anyone to come in. Which I didn't like. There is no point of living in a gated community if the gate is always broken. My biggest problem was the incompetency of the front office. There was nobody to rely on. I wouldn't recommend anyone to move here. Save yourself the grief. There was also a big mold problem which is how I got out my lease.

I will keep this to the point. My fiance and I moved here last October (2013) and are currently still here. We were in a very tough spot you guys. We had driven down from Michigan only to find out we were scammed out of our house, and about $1,200.00! Cityside offered us a $99.00 move in deal, and rent was only $775. So, we moved in and loved the size and space of the one bedroom. The staff was pleasant and worked with our credit to get us in here. There is a small park across from the complex that's great for kids and dogs. There are gas stations, fast food joints, and grocery stores within 5 minutes which is great. The pest control has shown up every time we request them. Maintenance has taken care of our issues in a timely manner as well. Then came the nightmare of setting up our cable and internet. Access Media 3 is a complete joke! Why would you force residents to go through such a terrible company? The cable is mediocre at best for the price. I have to pay an extra $80-$100 just to get a few extra channels that would allow me to watch sports games. (You don't even get Fox Network with the basic package.) The Internet is simply awful. They only offered us a 3mbs package! Are you kidding me? I can't even run my PS4 and Xbox at the same time without lagging out. Watching Netflix is impossible because the Internet goes out randomly EVERY SINGLE DAY. The connection is never at 3mbs, it usually ranges from 900kbs to 1.5mbs. We have called Access Media 3 over a dozen times to address the issues, but all we get is a runaround or a rep that is completely incompetent. In my opinion, we as residents should be able to have a choice when it comes to our entertainment, and not be forced to deal with that awful company. Once this issue is fixed, my rating will go up. Until then however, I will NOT be recommending City Side to anyone. A stable Internet is not much to ask, and is vital to today's life.

I have rated this apartment maybe a year ago. I mentioned how unreliable their service is, especially for work orders. Here I am, a year later, and this is still an imminent problem. They respond super slow- don't even bother doing it online, your order will fall in their black hole of work orders. In lieu of their service, most, if not all the associates that work there are incompetent. They are constantly hiring and firing people because obviously they do not know what they are doing at times. The only person I have found helpful is Erica. Rosalind, who used to work there, f****ed up our lease and put it as 11 months instead of 12, and as the lease termination creeped up, we weren't informed of this error.. Needles to say, espensive fees followed. If you are looking for an apartment because you are a student or work at the med center/downtown, you're better off paying more for a better apartment with the facilities, safety and service that this one does not offer.

I lived here for two years. The first year was okay. Then , management switched over and the current people in the office are horrible . I complained about the infestation of cats, dogs, over flowing trashcan and roaches and nothing was done until I spoke with Ms. Coner. The infestation of cats and dogs still remained during my move out. Also, the crime rate is increasing, a women was robbed for all of her belongings and her car ,cars are still getting broken into and not to mention the "security" would take at least 25 minutes to respond. The outdoor lighting is horrible it is mostly pitch dark around each building and your lucky if your hall light works. Upon my move out my move out statement is completely wrong. I am still trying to get in touch with management now. I was a junior and senior in college staying here and I must say that on campus housing would've been better. DO NOT MOVE HERE ! THE RENT SHOULD BE WAY LESS. IT IS HORRIBLE ; THE INFESTATION IS OUT OF HAND.

I live at Cityside Crossing and I enjoy living here. I see bad reviews come across and shame on these people. I witnessed a resident say, I writing a bad review and renewed her lease but never stated in the review she renewed. The office and maintenance staff are friendly. I enjoy living here.

I recently moved from Cityside after being a resident there for 2 years. I highly recommend this property. The manager has always been so helpful and nice. Always making sure all her residents are happy. The leasing agent always so courteous when walking into the office always making me feel so comfortable and he was very helpful at all times. Even thought the train is so loud now it is very convenient. I unfortunately had to move due to finishing school and going back home to start my career, but im grateful to had been able to find such a great complex to call home for the past 2 years.

I moved in to Cityside crossing a few months back, I just have to say I love my apartment. The office and maintenece staff is very helpful and friendly. The only complaint is the Internet and cable is too expensive and the Internet is too slow. Other than that I have no complaints.

I can't wait to move from these apartments! Horrible poor customer service. I've been living over here since 2008. Through all new management, and still the same bs. Business hours open at 9am...been calling over an hour today any the phone is constantly ringing off the hook. Then it hangs up on you after the hundredth ring. And maintenance issues- Where to even begin! We've been needing new carpet since we first moved in, we have mold in the carpets. Mold in my bathroom, which was mentioned prior to renewing the lease. And it still hasn't been addressed! Get it together cityside crossing!!!!!!!!!!

I just recently moved out of this complex and am so glad I did! Good: I loved the space, having a washer and dryer, and the proximity to downtown. The trains and planes that others complain about bothered me when I first moved in but I got used to them and barely noticed them within a couple weeks. Bad: My apartment smelled VERY strongly of cigarette smoke. It was so bad that my friends could smell it on my clothes. I complained to the manager and she said she would "talk to people." I made several complaints and nothing was ever done. Also, everything constantly broke in the apartment and was rarely actually fixed. When I moved in, my air conditioner did not work and, again I placed several work orders, and it was never fixed. The windows/walls were so thin that you could hear any noise anyone outside made. There were always people outside at all hours so this got very annoying at nights. There was also dog poop everywhere. It was so bad that when I left my building, I would have to hold my breath to get out of the entrance into the parking lot. There had been break-ins of cars and they hired extra security, but the security was never around. This apartment is in a HORRIBLE neighborhood and I only moved here because of the security gate. Unfortunately, this gate stayed open much of the time making it useless. Also the complex has gone up A LOT in price and it is just not worth the price anymore. When I first moved in, the complex had just been bought by a new company. It was a pretty decent place before but has gone downhill in the past year. I do not recommend moving here!

Great staff/maintenance Great spacious apartment Great upkeep of the property, the staff always greets you with a smile and is very helpful. I did have some problems with the internet connections but they were very patient with me and took care of my situation. They always seem happy to help out. I enjoy my home here.

I lived in these apartments for nine months. The internet sucked, wasn't even worth paying for. They kept saying for NINE months that the internet was getting faster and they were getting with comcast (lies). Nothing ever changed. I moved into these apartments because they had a lot of space, came with washer and dryer (that we had to have replaced the day we moved in because it was rusty and didn't work. I would like to note that we asked to have it changed out before we moved in and they said no because there was no reason to. Well it didn't work anyway so they had to change it out.) None of the reasons stated above was worth moving there. After nine months of living there, my apartment got broken into while I was working. Someone had smashed in my bedroom window and stole a ton of electronics. I went to the office to talk to the manager, that day. When I walked into the office the manager was standing there and another person walked up and started talking to me. While I was telling her what happened the manager whispered something in her ear and walked out. The person I was talking to then informed me that the manager, who I JUST SAW, was TOO BUSY to talk to me. I asked, "So my apartment just got broken into and I can't even talk to the manager?" The woman's response was, "Well ma'am, everyone has problems that are just as important as yours. She will call you." I was infuriated. All they did was board up my window and left all the broken glass inside my apartment. I didn't get to talk to the manager for three days and when I finally did she told me that she assumed I would be breaking my lease and these were the terms to break it, etc... Needless to say after that unprofessionalism and the down right inconsiderate nature of the Manager, I left and never looked back. Yeah it is on my credit right now that I owe them 3K!!! It was worth it though to get out of that situation. This is a fair warning to anyone who wants to move in...please don't do it. They will screw you and you will have problems the entire time you live there. These apartments should be torn down and everyone who works in the front office should be fired. In my opinion. To the manager that screwed me over and was too busy for three days to talk to me...Karma is a B****. Also, trying to talk to corporate is like trying to talk to a brick wall. It won't happen. I have a documented log of how many times I have called and have never spoken with anyone or recieved a call back.

These apartments are HORRIBLE and that is a definite understatement!!! Moved in Feb 1st and its been HELL since that day. I really want to break my lease!!!!!!! Air conditioning keeps going out (although maintenance is quick about coming to fix it). But the real problem is roaches. I understand this is Houston, but the problem is terrible. Pest control comes every Wednesday, but whatever they are doing CLEARLY does not work. I see bugs all the time. Once I saw a roach the day after they so called sprayed!!! Not to mention its located right next to a train track so don't expect to sleep...EVER! The train runs all day all night 7 days a week and its constantly blowing. Take it from me, pay the extra $100-200 and stay somewhere nicer. Rent should be $500 for what you get, but I pay $810...almost $1200 when you add utilities. Cats all over the complex as well, makes for a very irritating walk from your car to your apartment. I hate my apartment and I hate this complex!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trying to get a callback from the manager is like pulling teeth. For the last two days I have left messages with Frank in the leasing office requesting a callback regarding the increase in my rent amount. Frank explained that only the manager can address questions regarding increases in rent, and no one else could help. Yet Thelma has failed to contact me. Today is day 3, and still nothing. I called the 1-877 number on their website, but the representative stated that they have no way of contacting the property directly. Seriously, this really should not be this difficult. If the manager is reading this, I'd still like a callback. My contact info is already on your desk, according to Frank. Thank you.

These apartments aren't "that" bad... or maybe I've just settled. anyway this is for future renters: Don't make the mistake I made, I told myself that size and location (close to downtown) would be good for me. and that remains the only good thing about these apartments. But I'm not happy here. Parking: eh, its ok. its been getting too full as of lately. Noise: I guess you'll learn to sleep through the train. sometimes kids party it up and come out at 2 in the morning being loud. but its close to UH so I excuse them. Grounds: It gets pretty messy, but they do clean up. but the dumpsters are overflowing 70% if the time safety: inside the gates ehh, pretty safe.. outside the gates? we in the hood. Construction: well, there is construction right in front of the entrance. then the construction will be over and the light rail will be there. illegal uturns are no that bad ok. maintenance: Always handled in a timely manner. Kudos maintenance guy. Staff: the nicest people ever when we moved it... that's it. please don't bother them with your problems though. Overall: Not the worst place to live. But not the Best, or second best. Sidenote: My apartment smells like smoke, walls are thin, and in the summer roaches go crazy.
