I have not moved in yet but as far as management goes, Miss Regina and Erica are wonderful! Both of them alone have been accommodating and have done what they can to make the process of moving in as easy as it can be. The reason why I gave the staff three stars is because there is one lady whom I believe to be a bad egg. She scoffed at my questions and treated my roommate and I as if we were mere children. We are, in other words, their clients and should be treated with respect and kindness. I'm not asking for much but when there's an employee that doesn't give at least decent customer service then it irritates me because I'm in sales as well. As my roommate and I were signing the lease, she left the room and when she came back then she was just sitting there. She didn't seem to have very much knowledge at all. I've signed a lease before and at that moment in time, the employee helping me walked me through the entire lease to inform me of every page and what all I was signing and with a smile on top of that. That's what I call good customer service.

I've been living in CitySide Crossing for a year. I really love these apartments. The 24 hour security at the gate makes me feel safe. The staff in the office is very friendly and professional. Regina Savage leasing consultant) works with future and current residents really well and she also makes sure she done everything to help. The maintenance staff does a great job of getting things done within a timely manner. The parking is great. The grounds are always clean. I enjoy living in CitySide Crossing apartment homes. It's a great location!

I have been living here less than a month, but I love it. You can not beat the size of the apartment for the price. I work in the Medical Center, and the this apartment is better than anything I looked at there. Everyone is VERY nice and helpful, from the leasing office to the security guards. The area can seem a little iffy, but I have had no problems and you can easily access the freeway to go to a different area for food and shopping. I cannot wait for the metro to open next year.

I've lived here for about 3 months now, so i will write my review which most others have already talked about i will break it down to a pro and cons like others have done The Good: The apartments are big, they are nice sized and are up to date in the inside. I'm a student at UofH so this is a lot of room for someone who used to live in the dorms. It's not too noisy, i don't know if i just have good neighbors or if the place is nicely insulated Security i often see walking and driving around the property at all times of the day. Maintenance problems are handled quickly, and the staff is really nice. The BAD, and the main reasons why i would not recommend this place to anyone else. first, this is what i have noticed about this complex and the way this place is managed. Even though the staff is professional, It's obvious that management here is full of lies and they use these lies to keep everyone here thinking that they will work on their issues. I'll explain about that some as i go through the Cons. First, trash is a nightmare on my side of the apartment. It fills up and there's bags that people have to put all over the ground around the apartment because the trashcan is ALWAYS full, they either need to get 2 trashcans, a bigger one, or have it picked up more often. Second, The internet. There is only one company you can get right now called ignytion , if you look at their reviews they have 1-2 stars at MOST, most people describe it as the worst internet they've ever had. When i was moving in i asked multiple staff multiple times what is being done about the internet. They told me they're working on it and we should have comcast soon, because management is working on a deal with them. Well I have a relative who works for comcast corporate. I contacted them to find out what was the hold up on getting comcast at our property. She told me they have no record of even working with Skiview or citycside about any internet options. So basically management has been lying to everyone telling them they're working out deals with a better internet company when i found out this is not the truth. This angers me because my job depends on a stable and decently quick internet connection. You have Clear as an option but they are GOD awful, with speeds that don't add up to even 1mb. I have called every high speed internet provider in houston and none are offered at Cityside. We got a letter about AT&T being available, but its not high speed internet, and its not to get confused with AT&T uverse. I called them and they said they only have plans with DSL speeds, which are utterly slow. U-Verse and comcast for those who dont know about computers, is up to 10-20x faster than what this DSL service is offering. I am starting to believe that the whole search for a better internet company has been a lie from management and that ignytion does have some type of contract over the complex. I am going to try to get in writing soon information about high speed internet, because this is utterly ridiculous that we have to wait this long to get a halfway decent company. Management needs to tell us the truth about what is going on. third, and another reason why i do not trust the management here. the gates. If you look down a review or two down you see someone complain about the gates. First, there's no gate code, you have to have a card to get in the gate every time which is badly placed towards the front of the entrance so pile ups happen quickly, also, it is a HUGE pain in the a** to have visitors come over. When my girlfriend comes over at 8am i have to wake up, drive up to the front gate, pull out of the complex, illegally turn and come back into the complex and swipe my key. You can't walk out of the gate. This is a HUGE inconvenience for anyone who stays here im sure you understand my pain also. I come home from work and there's a pile up at times to where i can't even get up to swipe my card because so many people that don't have their cards or are visitors can't get in. Honestly, i much rather have a gate code because this way is beyond inconvenient. IF you look down on the Managers response of the review two down, management clearly says they will have this resolved by mid July. its now August and NOTHING has been done, this puts more faith in my idea that management is full of lies and just tell us what we want to hear. Lastly is roaches. I started off having small roaches. I sprayed my place once to get rid of them, and then i started getting huge cockroaches. I called management to spray, and not even a week later i have even bigger roaches coming in. I see i will have to handle this issue myself because i dont think they will spray my place right. In conclusion, it's really a shame that an apartment with such nice potential is being ruined by unwilling, and dishonest management. I will try to write corporate about the issues and see if they can be helped. but if we had A high speed internet company like U-Verse or Comcast, and we had a gate situation that wasn't such a hassle, my review would probably be a 4. I could deal with the crappy trash system and getting rid of the roaches on my own, but as a student, i could never recommend another student to live out here. I have many friends from UH looking to move places soon, but like myself college students need fast and reliable internet, and im sure they would have friends over often. As of now i will tell every person looking to move here not to. But i would not mind referring people here if we were to get some type of commitment and HONEST time frame on when these obvious issues will be addressed and completed. As a paying attendee, management please be clear with us and help with these problems, i am tired of being lied to!!!!!!!!!

ooh no no no this place is no prize winner yes the apartment as big as it claims, thats the one and only good thing about it. your luck if you can make it the first three months without getting robbed. my trucks been broken in more then once, dont get me started on security. their the worst! absolutely do nothing but walk and take offen smoke breaks. then you have the office. they dress so great and talk so nice once you move in, its a different storie. you call and ask somethings broken you wont wait an hour or two. no that will take days your just going to end up fixing it yourself. no point in maintains if their not notified the issues. and every two months they cut the water off for a day or two every single time its for "maintains repair" amd last the alarm goes of for hours and theirs never an emergency its a dame shame. this place needs more work then a newer building its self. i dont recommend to you nor anyone. its a huge headace and hassle to dearl with. think about it is it really worth 725 no showers on some day what ifs important you have to drive somewhere else for that. broken sink, haha get a book and wish your self a good luck fixing it on your own. you can have the best alarm out their. best believe you will get broken into. good luck!!!

Plus: LOTS of parking spaces (because the complex is half empty!) HUGE apartments (over 1,000 sq feet) Negatives: bad neighborhood (I've seen drug deals in the parking lot) lightrail construction, plus TWO train tracks with trains that stop for hours on the tracks. It's a real pain in the ... AC units are poor quality (usually 80-85 degree on hot days, which are plentiful in Houston) They don't let you out of your contract (even if you are willing to pay a fee plus the reletting fee). They said because half the complex is empty, and they can't afford it. They have an exclusive deal with a crummy internet/cable provider that will only provide 3 mbps (at least this was the case when I moved in in 11/12) Pizza Hut/Dominoes won't deliver to the complex (The staff at pizza hut laughed at me when I gave them the address and say NO WAY!)

I am not sure why there are bad reviews. I am a U of H student and this place works very well for me.First off the apartments are huge for the price. Were in the city can you find a place this big for this price? Nowhere. Of course, it is a little old but they have recently updated the place. Also the management changed in the end of last year and is much better than before. All in all, it fits in budget, has space, friendly staff, and meets my needs!

I thought i would write up a recent review to help balance out a lot of the bad has been said about this place, i've been here a few months but i have been able to gauge how this place is so far. First off, the staff is great. they've very professional and very nice and well mannered. They make most things clear when telling you and are all around nice people. The Apartment: Nice size, and features of having washer and dryer in the place, the design is nice and up to date. Not a fan of the outside of the apartment, but not caring about being too picky there. There's good parking available im not sure if because its summer or not right now and people have moved out or what, but i can usually easily find parking. I was worried about my car getting broken into at first after reading older reviews but there always seems to be a cop on duty patrolling and haven't had a problem thus far. Its in a good location, the construction isn't too noisy its just a hassle going around everything while this is going on. It's an affordable place to live. Now for the bad parts and the primary reasons i wouldn't recommend this to another college student like myself. The first con is that there is no reliable internet service for this place. As students or someone who likes to stream a lot of video and play games online, its nearly impossible to get decent internet out here. I've been reading reviews from earlier this year that the apartment in the process of getting comcast, but im starting to think that its a lie just to keep us hoping. This is months after the review and comcast says they have no record of them even working on getting them in the complex. Not to mention every major internet providor is not avalible in these apartments. No ATT, no Comcast, nobody that offers high speed, there's clear which is the worst internet i have ever had and another company called ignition which is just as bad. So if you plan to move in and stream movies and play online, forget it right now because thats not possible at the moment. If i would have known this before it would have made me choose elsewhere because a lot of my work depends on having a fast steady internet connection. Just yesterday we got a letter saying we can get ATT now, but its only ATTs basic service with up to 748kbs. which is just as, if not more pathetic of a connection than CLEAR. I have a feeling they are going to settle with this and screw us out of getting a high speed provider. second is roaches. when i moved in there were live roaches in my sink, about 5. smaller ones, but still. and many dead ones on the ground that werent cleaned up. we had to spray down my apartment twice and use the roach bombs twice before they settled down. I hate roaches so that was a thing for me. Last is the parking gate. Right now there is no gate code and you need a key to let someone else in, but you can't walk through the front gate so you either have to drive completely out and back in to let a visitor in, or have them walk up to the gate and get your card, i was also told this is being worked on but i have not seen anything happen. Overall its a nice apartment complex, but for a college student the conns i listed may be enough for you to choose elsewhere. The internet situation has me frustrated beyond reason right now. so check it out for yourself and see if you like it.

Hello, I stayed in skyview for 4 years, until I got my home. These apartments are the worst apartments I have ever lived in. The space is wonderful, but the break ins are not worth it. The area is HORRIBLE! I stayed there that long, because of the convenience. I just couldn't take it anymore!!! If you do decide to move in make sure you get an apartment right next to the office. I will not recommend these apartments at all!!!

Apparently there's been a rash of crimes within the complex (I got a notice saying as much) affecting cars and apartment units. Cityside is supposed to have 24-hour patrol so I'm not sure what the hell is going on. People are loud at night and very inconsiderate at times. I've heard people hovering by my window outside being loud and disruptive so, again, where are these people who are supposed to be patrolling the area? I've had several maintenance issues with both bathrooms that repeated visits by maintenance staff have yet to resolve. I will say that the internet has at last been upgraded to high speed (AccessMedia) so that's a plus.

I read the review's on the apartment and i thought they had gotten beter since it had not been a latest review. But everything that the people or saying below is the truth. The front office is so so very lazy they get to you whenever they feel like they should. The only good thing is that there big a roomy, DONT LET THE VIEW FOOL YOU. I wouldnt recommend anyone to ever move over here, if you let the office know your having issuse's they blame the maintance men then the maintance men say they dont get a work order. The mangement is NO good. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT WAIT YOUR TIME AND MONEY BECAUSE IT IS NOT WORTH IT, I WISH I NEVER MOVED OVER THERE.

Do not move here!!
I moved here almost two months ago after reading these reviews and not believing them! I figured since no one had written a review in over a year, it must be better for real. So, where do I start? 1. There are TWO train tracks, and the trains run ALL day and ALL night. The horns are extremely loud and sometimes the train stops on the tracks for more than 5 minutes at a time. There is no way to go around, so if it is an extremely long time, it will make you late. 2. Maintenance is very slow responding to issues. Even when I moved in, I waited almost 2 weeks for them to come out and fix simple things at my apartment. Most times, they have to come back to fix the same thing. 3. The sole cable provider in the complex is Ygnition, and they are the absolute worst! If you don't believe it, google the company. Everything posted about them is true. I lose my signal at least 3-4 times every hour. Maybe more... 4. The walls and floors are paper thin and constantly crack. My neighbor above me smokes in their bathroom. Each time they do, I smell it in my bathroom, and I have to shut the door so the smell of cigarette smoke will just be confined to the bathroom. Overall, I would not move here if I had to do it all again. I moved here because I had to move ASAP, and they had the best move in special. Plus, the apartments are nice and HUGE. Now, I am stuck in a 12 month lease which I will end up breaking and moving. Please believe this review and don't move HERE!!!

If you like peace and sleep, DON'T MOVE HERE!!
I recently moved here despite reading the reviews and the VERY low rating. Although my apartment is huge and I absolutely love the floorplan, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. There are TWO trains that run ALL DAY, EVERY DAY!! It blows the horn 7-10 times at each crossing sometimes every hour. (yes, I count each time it wakes me up at night) I am not exaggerating! I have not gotten a good nights sleep since moving here because it runs even in the wee hours of the morning. The bad thing is I JUST moved, so I'm stuck here or will mess up my credit by moving out early. The neighborhood is not bad, but I can tell my neighbors are ------. They let their windows up, pass through with the music booming sometimes, and it is SUPER deserted over here. There are so many empty units here, but I now know why! At least the apartments have been remodeled and look pretty good! The office staff is ok, but I can tell they could care less about anything but renting out units. Maintenance is ok, but they make a lot of excuses as to why they haven't done somethings. I urge you to think TWICE before moving here! I wish I had thought 10 times! :-/

Treats great tenants like *ish... Bypass this place!!
I moved into Skyview because U of H is so close but it turned out to be a disaster!! Our fridge went out twice ruining all the food we had in the fridge and freezer and while we continued to ask for a NEW fridge they continued to send us ragedy used ones. The kicker is that they did not get us our security deposit until ONE YEAR after we moved out... After a long drawn out lawsuit they finally paid us the $200... Mind you we were awarded $700 . When we go to cash the check the bank tells us there is INSUFFICIENT FUNDS in the account... WTH?!?! We have been out of these apartments for a year a half and are STILL fighting to get our $200 back!!! DDDDOOOOOO NNOOOOTTTTT MOVE HERE!!!!! We paid our rent three months ahead of time almost the whole time we were there (everytime we would get our refund checks from school we would pay it up through the semester) and THIS is how WE were treated... Don't let it happen to YOU!!!

WORST APARTMENTS EVER!!! TRASHY!!! DONT DO IT (you can do better)
I moved in here with my school mate once I moved to Texas for a different course of study... at first I didnt pay any of what i saw any mind, because I knew the area wasn't that great to be in, and i heard of how bad Texas struggled with Ike. First off, Ike was two years ago, but the siding is still hanging off the buildings, construction wrapping flapping in the wind, and trash EVERYWHERE... The grass always grows up to at least mid calf before it gets cut. The management are unprofessional and ------. There aren't a lot of residents and thats because everyone LEFT mostly. I think the cheap rent is whats keeping a few here. Our neighbors are inconsiderate, all hours of the night you will hear subwoofers from cars. The gate here DOES NOTE WORK! so anyone can walk in, and the result of that was maybe a month ago i was coming home from work and saw one of the tenants tires/rims were stolen off his car and sitting all on random pieces of concrete. In addition there is trash everywhere there has been two instances in the past 5 months where the dumpsters were overflowing with filth, there are stray animals everywhere from cats to LARGE dogs. Just a few weeks ago "new management" has taken over, the posted letters on the doors saying so, but were not sticking around to see, My room mate his been here THREE YEARS and ready to go! and you know what, after six months, so am I! I have rented several places and this has by far been the worst!!! DONT DO IT!

NEVER LIVE HERE!
I lived here for a total of 13 months. For 6 of those months, my AC unit did not work. Maintenence seemed more concerned with how many inches my television was whenever they did come. The cops have to constantly patroll the area. Junk cars are parked there. Nafarious characters lurk behind buildings at all hours of the night. And to top it all off, this is 10/25/10. My fiance and I are applying to another complex so that we will be able to move in when we get back from the honeymoon. We cannot move in because SKYVIEW AT PALM CENTER WILL NOT COMPLY WITH THE NEW APARTMENT COMPLEX. I paid rent on or by the first of every month, I was never late. I kept to myself and respected the management even when they did not deserve it. I do not owe any balance what so ever, but these yahoos won't even send in a RENTAL VERIFICATION FORM THAT'S FILLED OUT CORRECTLY!! After two weeks of trying, the new apartment complex is subject to rent out the apartment that my fiance and I are depending on!! How can you be so obtuse!!???

never move here!!!!! NOT WORTH IT
Ive been here for about three years now and for the last two years it has been hell..... I moved here because of the convinence of school, Texas Southern University. The property is not well kept. Its trash everywhere, Hurricane Ike occurred in late summer of 2008, It now April 2010, there haven't came and did any exterior repairs and it makes the apartment look terrible. The lawn service come every two months to cut the grass, the grass is passed my ankles in height was is terrible. They office personnal loses your rent payment then comes and put a eviction notice on your door like you didnt pay you rent. They miss place water bills and try to charge you extra for their mistakes. The gate entrance been broke for the last three years since I been here, but wonder why people come and break into people cars around here. The cable provider, Ygition which is some low budget sub-contacting company for direct tv is the only cable provider you can choose from. I have service with them because I need internet and cable and its about $130 just for about 50 channels and for internet that barely have any connection service. Please do your homework before moving anywhere. I wish I could have done mine to avoid the stress Ive had since my stay....
