Everything is fine until you need something done through maintenance that requires more than a few minutes of work. Anything that requires any kind of work will be avoided like the plague. From toilet paper holders to air conditioning, good luck, it ain't gonna happen.

Don't move here. Seriously. I should have listened to the review. My move-in was a complete disaster--the unit was not move-in ready and an overall headache. Filthy floors, nasty kitchen and bathroom, chipped paint...It's only been two weeks and my A/C continues to break in over 90 degree weather. And hope that your A/C doesn't break on the weekend--because "emergency maintenance" doesn't exist. Just...don't move here. I pay way too much to live like this.

When I first moved, I was satisfied. However, since living here there has been to many manager turn around and not been informed of the changes. There has been a problem with mold. As of now, I am not satisfied with this apartment complex.

Loud, very frequent train horns at ALL hours of the day and night. Trains affect and delay commute. Property seems to have alot of sketchy people (visible drug transactions that take place). Noisy neighbors sometimes at 2-3am. I am a female and do not feel I would be safe walking around the property at night.

Excellent customer service. Unit just needs tlc. Awesome space. The kitchen is huge with amazing storage space. The bedroom and closet can hold my queen bed, dresser, nightstand, and dresser with mirror. Not to mention there is space to spare.

Great move in. Great staff. Big and spacious apartment. Parking is great. Located next to TSU and UH. Next to interstate 45 and 610 which convenient. Dog park is right next to it. Needs better amenities but for the price it is great

I have been living in this community for a year now and have not had a bad experience. Service requests are completed in a timely manner, security is always making rounds, the noise level is not high, and it is close to important locations like downtown, NRG, and the med center. It is also convenient because it is right by the rail.

I moved to Houston after my service in the Army and I've lived at Metro since 2015. I live in a 1 BR, 1000+ sq. ft. unit that has everything I was looking for--large kitchen, in-unit laundry, dishwasher, walk-in closets, extra storage, and an open floor plan. The rent is very reasonable and being a student at UH it made life so easy. For added convenience, they allow residents to set up auto-pay so you never have to worry about being late on your rent. You can also submit maintenance requests online. The maintenance crew promptly resolves any requests that are reported. I have had no issues with termites, or other pests. The community has full-time patrol cars on-premise for added security, and the grounds are always well-maintained. The notable stars of this Metro 5514 are the office staff--Erica, Brittani Labayen, and Kara Rogers, the Community Director. They are always professional, courteous, and very affable! I'll be starting medical school soon and want to thank them for making my experience so memorable.

Great, but needs more speed bumps or someone controlling the fast driving the parkinglot. Some people di have children and it is not very safe walking to my car without fearing that's some one is going to hit the corner fast and hit me.

Metro5514 is not a place to call home I have had nothing but issues the entire time I have lived here from minor maintenance issues, to finding living and dead mouses and rats as well as mold had took over the apartment and my belongings. This place needs a lot of work and I do not recommend moving here but everyone is different as for me I will never and I will tell everyone I know to never live here. I moved in on September 1st 2017 and it is now March 2018 and I have moved out.

So far the only complaint i have the other residents who play their music loud while driving through the property. Everything else is fine i guess. I like the space and that it comes with washer and dryer, my dryer doesn't work but it's a work in progress

Too expensive, uncaring, liars, shoddy workmanship in the apartments. Bad painting, incomplete work, mold build up on window sills, there is a raunchy smell eminnating from the sinks and drainage. The apartment manager disappears when you look for her

The office is spotty. Sometimes they answer the phone, other times they ignore it for days at a time it feels like. Idk about any other units specifically, but ours has a bad cockroach problem. Maintenance people have been out twice so far to spray but has had no effect. The apartments themselves are big and its a big plus that they come with a washer and dryer. They look nice but you are on the outskirts of Third Ward.

I've only been here a few weeks but they are super accommodating. I haven't had a problem that was fixed next day. They always ask if I need anything and the apartments are maintained really well. The security officer is always willing to help and the front office staff is really nice.

If you have no choice other than to live here I wish you luck. First off it's not in a good neighborhood so be prepared to hear shootings frequently. The safety of this building is horrendous and the gates are always breaking. They have "security guards" at night who really just leave their siren lights on to scare off people when they aren't physically there. The AC units are old and you can't request to replace it unless it's broken. You WILL have a high electricity bill so add an extra 100 to your rent. There's a lot of leaks and plumbing issues so they have to turn off the water atleast once or twice a month. Please AVOID this place at all costs.

DONT MOVE HERE!! Avoid it at all cost. They promised me wood floors on move in day there were no wood floors. My apartment was disgusting when I moved in. There was food in the fridge, on the counters, piss on the toilets AND ITS ROACH INFESTED!!! Office staff don't care. They do bare minimum.

Very good place to stay as a college student. Plenty of privacy, reasonably priced with a roommate, and it's safe and quiet. I haven't had to many issue with staying at this apartment, other then how the ungraded virgin is looking really old and unappealing. Other then that it's big and feel like a nice place to stay.

The community is growing and changing. I like the diversity of friendly neighbours. The up keeps of the grounds, but i think its unfair for residents who have lived here for a long period of time are not aloud an upgrade. Without being penalized of UPCHARGES. I feel if i have to pay the prizes of what i am paying, i could move into a community that have higher qualty standards and amenities and pay equal or perhaps less than what i am paying.

Everything is fair. Parking is bad, I think management should implement parking rules. Requiring all visitors to park in the back, so that your residents will have adequate parking. 1 parking spot per apt, every one else should be required to park in the back
