NEVER MOVE HERE!!!!!!!
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST APARTMENT COMPLEX EVER! I LIVED HERE WHEN THEY WERE NEW AND THE MANAGEMENT WAS GREAT AS WAS THE APT. WE MOVED TO ANOTHER CITY AND CAME BACK TO HOUSTON SO WE DECIDED THIS IS WHERE WE WANTED TO BE SINCE IT WAS GREAT BEFORE. WE COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG! THE MANAGEMENT DOESNT CARE ABOUT THE RESIDENTS THE APTS ARE FULL OF ANTS THAT LIVE IN THE WALLS. WE HAVE HAD THEM SINCE WE MOVED IN AND THEY WONT GO AWAY!! ITS TURNING INTO THE ------!!! AND THE A/C HAS STOPPED WORKING 3 OR 4 TIMES AND IF ITS IN THE EVENING THEY WONT COME FIX IT UNTIL THE NEXT DAY. I HAVE NEVER BEEN THIS UNSATISFIED WITH AN APT COMPLEX EVER. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! IF I HAD IT TO DO OVER I WOULD NOT HAVE MOVED BACK HERE KNOWING WHAT I DO NOW. THE APTS. HAVE GONE DOWN HILL AND SO HAS THE STAFF IN THE OFFICE. IF YOUR EXPECTING A NICE LIVING ENVIROMENT THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO LIVE...WE ARE LEAVING ASAP!!!

Nice Place!
I have lived at Stone Park for the past 18 months and my experience has been excellent. I have always received the requested maintenance services on a timely manner. Sometimes the staff can be a little nonchalant but at the end of the day they get the job done. The neighbors are great. Overall I have not had any problems and have received a great service from all of the staff. I definitely recommend Stone Park Apts.

Empty Promises
These apartments seem great on first glance and then once as you move in everything changes. Every request that you make on move in for maintenance issues never gets accomplished. You have to make direct threats to the manager to get anything done which I shouldn't and do not enjoy doing. The water pressure in all of phase two is very crummy. This is probably because you pay a flat rate of 30 dollars a month in addition to your over priced rent for the water (which they do not tell you until your move in date when you sign the lease). All of the amenities they show you on walk through look great and fantastic... except you will notice that no one is in the workout facility because no one can get into them! They do not have the gate/pool/workout access passes!!! They only have a small amount and they make you wait until someone moves out to receive one. The problem is... all of phase two is mostly new residents... there simply isn't enough and they refuse to correct this problem or deduct the rent for the amount of maintenance you are paying for each month and are not allowed to access... that and who likes sticking their arm out during a tropical storm to punch in the gate code? Of course none of the management lives on site so what do they care??

What are these other people talking about???
I heard from some of my neighbors that there were some horrible reviews of Stone Park on this site, so I decided to write my own. The truth is, this area of town may not be so great, but Stone Park goes above and beyond to create a clean, safe environment to live in. You can't blame the property for neighbors being noisy. That would be the fault of the neighbors, and I have had to call on one occassion, but security came within 20 minutes and the problem was solved. I know we have received notices regarding investigations of crimes and such, but for people to lash out about the actual events not being disclosed is ridiculous. I don't expect to get all of the details about an ONGOING investigation right away. As for the property itself, the grounds are very well kept and maintenance is always prompt. It is a new property and I understand people expect that there wouldn't be maintenance issues. Working in the construction industry has taught me that nothing is perfect. There are always going to be problems, but like I said, maintenance is prompt, so I can't complain. The staff is always very nice when I call or go in to the office as well. I have been here almost a year and will definately be renewing my lease.

One of the best I've lived in
I moved every six months from apartment to apartment until I settled on Stone Park. I love it here. I'm about to sign another year lease. The management staff keeps it professional, but maintain friendliness. If I have a maintenance issue, which, since the apartments are fairly new, is rare, they have a guy at my place within hours. And I've never had any crime-related problems, or heard of any for that matter. Some of these people must have lived in a different complex.

No regrets
I wanted to get something convenient, close to work & family and in a decent part of town. I read some reviews about alot of places before making my decision, and realize that there will always be negative people. Stone Park has alot to offer and to me, is a good place to live. The only thing missing is a jacuzzi. Hopefully they read this and install one soon! HAHAHAHA.. On a serious note, the landscaping is nice and well kept, the amenities are nice, maintenance is prompt and the staff is very helpful and courteous! I have only been here a couple of months and extending my lease is looking likely!

Don't Stop...Keep Looking...You'll thank me!
#1) 6 Weeks after renting, the window was broken out of my truck and my belongings were stolen. However, I was one of five victims that evening, which doesn't make me feel better, but things can happen anyware. #2) 3 weeks later my refrigerator stopped working and I lost all of my food for the month. The maint. crew came and changed the thermostat and told me it was fixed. #3) 2 days later my refrigerator stopped working again and I lost all of my food for a second time. The maint. crew returned and said it was because I had too much food in the freezer. #4) 3 days later it stopped again and the maint. crew returned to change the timer, which actually fixed the problem even though I lost $350 worth of food while the maint. crew experimented with possible solutions. #5) Two months later my air conditioner stopped working. The maint. crew came out and recharged the unit with gas. #6) Two days later the air conditioner stopped again and this time the unit leaked all down my wall and soaked my capet in the living room where I have my $13K entertainment center located. Maint. crew returns and fixes the leak and the air conditioner on the second try. #7) My upstairs neighbors restroom leaks through my ceiling. Maint. crew comes out and proceeds to tell me that they cannot duplicate the problem despite filling their tub up with water and flushing their toilet repeatedly. No action taken. I was instructed to call them back out when it happens again. (Hopefully it was just dirty bathwater and not dirty toilet water leaking from my ceiling!) #8) A month and a half later my truck is stolen from the parking lot and is found by police in Spring, TX out-of-gas; coincidentally on a day when the front gates to the apartment were broken. #9) My upstairs neighbors restroom leaks again and maint. is called back out. This time, they tell me that my neighbot has a dog and that she refuses to put the dog up for them to examine the problem. Still, no action taken. #10) After contacting the "new" manager repeatedly and finally saying that I refuse to pay rent until my ceiling is fixed, she sends out the maint. crew again. This time they leave a work order on my kitchen counter that states that the sheetrock will be repaired on 4/14/08. But still no repairs done, and my ceiling still leaks as of 5/26/08! #11) Ceiling still leaking, no one will even come look at it anymore. I plan on speaing with a lawyer tomorrow, so I can finally let someone else worry about this. It is a shame it had to come to this. Luckily I took pictures and videos of everything, kept all of the complexes work orders, my receipts, and my written requests for maint. The complex is actually quite pretty from the outside and has a lot of nice features. The construction though seems pretty poor at least in my unit and due to the location is plagued with crime. Seems to be a pretty stong pattern of all the feedback on this particular site. I don't think it is just coincidence.

NO NO NO!!!
For the price you are paying- the apartment should be at the very least- SAFE. I had my carbroken into the first week I moved in- security NEVER showed up- My neighbor tends to play music at 4 am and despite calling security MANY MANY times- nothing has ever been done. I have lived in many apartments throughout Houston- and though this one is asthetically pleasing- its not a safe place. We have been warned not to walk alone at night- due to a pending investigation- yet will not be told what happened. Great place to move to if you want to get mugged or have your vehicle stolen or broken into. Needless to say- I sleep with a knife under the bed.

If you can, do not live here
So this place looks nice. If your are coming from the north side of beltway 8 then it seems ideal. I suggest you go to the local WalMart to see who your neighbors really are. Yes, this is a bad neighborhood. When we moved here, it appeared this was the oasis. The good place in the bad area. With such high prices, we figured the undesirable people would stay out. WRONG! I do not know if it is Katrina folks or Section 8, but it is clear that a lot of low lifes live here. I suppose that the management does very little to screen out undesirable tenants. I cannot blame them seeing how vacant units stay vacant for a long time. Did I mention that if you want to move, you have to give two months notice? Yes, two months more in the war zone that is becoming Stone Park. This is what happens when you let in bad tenants. This place is not safe. Crime is on the rise. Move to the Summerwood area. Move to Baytown. Move anywhere but this apartment complex. I have no personal vendettas or reason to malign this place. I only speak the truth. The management does virtually nothing to make us safe and they will not because at this point they do not need to. In one year this place will be the ------. Oh yes, and the walls are thin and so is the ceiling. No one should spend so much to live like this. Run away! Run away!

Beware!!!!!
Let's see, where shall I begin? My husbands truck was stolen and used in a robbery. The same night, the theives stole another man's truck which was the same make, model, and color, however it ran out of gas, so I suppose that's why we were the next target. Not one month later, my car was broken into and keyed badly. The management said there was nothing that could be done about it. Here's a start, fix the gates that always seem to be broken. The management was friendly at first, now they just act annoyed, and frankly, they're just plain rude. TONS of other resident have been victims of auto theft/robberies. It seems as if everytime I turn around, there are ambulances and cops on the premises, and that's not a comforting feeling. These apartments are very expensive for this side of town, but I suppose trouble follows you everywhere. There's never any parking, it's dimly lit outside and tha's not safe. I had to call the office more than three time for them to come out and fix lights in our hallway. Well, it just takes getting ugly with the girls in the office to get something done. They give you the run around about why they haven't fixed things, which I don'tlike personally. I did see a security guard for maybe 2 weeks straight at about 4am, he's no where to be found now. Oh and just in case you would like to know, I received a waring on my door TODAY, informing me of criminal activity that occured at 6:30 this moring, the letter stated "but we can't give you any details due to the ongoing police investigation." How settling.......... I would not recommend this complex to anyone who doesn't own a pitbull that would be able to protect them. It's just not safe. I'm getting the heck out of dodge now, even though I have 2 more months on my lease, I'd rather be paying for it and living somewhere else.!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!! Don't let them fool you!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice place to live
Have lived here since Aug 07(7 months). No problems. Extremely clean apartment complex, office staff is more than helpful. No neighbor issues. Gates work as well as possible for an apartment complex. I know of NO criminal activity at all !!! FYI: Would recommend to anyone !

OK, But wouldnt recommend them.
I initially thought that the apartments would be great, especially for the area. They said they had gated entry and security cameras and a security guard. I have NEVER seen a security guard on the premises. And as far as the gated entry, they have a lot of problems with the gates and leave them open a lot. And people wait to pull in behind you if they dont have a code. The apartments look very nice, but once you move in you see little things that aren't as nice, such as the paint on the walls, its very sloppily done. The bathtubs aren't any bigger than regular tubs as far as length, they are just wider. And they say the washer and dryer are full size, but they are not. And I do not feel safe in the parking lot at all, there is not enough lighting, and people ingore the 10:00 curfew, and stay out on their patios playing music and such. I have also had a huge problem with neighbors smoking pot. They walk around the grounds, with kids outside, doing it. The apartments are OK for the area, but I will not renew my lease in the summer, they are not everything they promised, and frankly they cost too much not to be.

I have lived at Stone Park for 8 months now and my only real complaint is the noise from upstairs, which really, I guess, should be attributed to my neighbors and not the apartments. I do think they are a little pricey for this part of town, but you get what you pay for. The management is great, I have no bugs or rats, and everything is kept in great shape. I am a young, single graduate student and I have never felt unsafe here. The alarm is a great perk for anyone living by themselves and the washer and dryer are actually really nice. It is within half a mile of the public library, Wal-Mart, lots of food, and soon to be Bank of America and Starbucks....If wondering about the morning traffic...It isn't fun, but it is not as bad as the commute from certain other parts of town. I would say at 7:45 it takes about 45 minutes to get to downtown. Any other time of the day, about 15-20. I would recommend this complex to anyone.

Excellent Apartments
I spent a year at Stone Park and I enjoyed being a resident. The neighbors were courteous, the units are beautiful and the landscaping is lovely. The office staff are helpful and professional. I am a teacher and I had heard the many teachers live in the community. I noticed that to be the case. Noise was not a problem and the children that live in the community were respectful and well-behaved. This is an ideal community for families and single-working adults. It is just across the highway from several shopping centers that have stores of all kinds. I would highly recommend this apartment complex to a friend.

Phase 2 is great!
The office staff was professional and friendly. Kim was great about listening to our housing needs and finding us the perfect floorplan. Our apartment is brand new and beautiful. They have had some issues with key fobs for access gates but this side of the complex is so new it is still under construction. The complex is very teacher friendly, and they made us feel right at home. I would definately move here if you work on this side of town, it is one of the only good complexes around.

Great for the East side of town
I have been living in different apartment homes in the East side of Houston for the last 10 years and Stone Park is by far the best. I have been living here for since July 2005 and even plan to transfer to their new Phase 2 in May. I have never had any issues here like I have everywhere else, I feel safe here. If you drive the property at night you will see how quiet it is and how you never see people hanging around ouside, which is inpossible to find on the East side. I have always had my work orders completed the same day I call it in. Although ploblems happen anywhere, the staff does whatever it takes to please their residents, they send out letters to everyone as soon as anthing happens no matter how minor it is, they have safety awareness meetings, hired extra patrol, installed cameras, and offer self defense classes to their residents in which i will be attending. Now tell me any other property that would do all that to make their resident feel safe. The Manager and staff is the nicest that I have ever delt with. I love living here and dont plan on moving away for a while. Most of the people that comment on this site has probably never lived in an apartment before and definetly not one on this side of town.

MY FAVORITE APARTMENT COMPLEX, EVER!!!!!!
We have lived in Stone Park for over a year and are very satisfied with the apartment facilities....Staff, Maintenance and it's grounds up keep. additionally, what surprised me about the complex was the closeness of the tenants to watch over each other! these is unusual in Apts. Plus, the staff is always looking for new ways to make the complex as "Homey" to you as possible.<br>Lastly, in all the apts. I've ever been in... I've never been offered a "Self Defense" class for the safety of Myself, Family and EVEN! Friends where the Apts. even help pay for! WHAT A GREAT PLACE....

Everything that Glitters isn't Gold!!! Beware
First and foremost these apartments are very expensive, which would be ok if your car didn't get broken in and possibly stolen, which the management could careless about. You would think that after the first 4 or 5 robberies the property managaemnet would have invested in some form of security ( has not happened or attempted after numerous complaints). The walls are so thin I can here my neighbors in the restroom and the bedroom, the washer and dryers are the smallest ones available and the fitness room isn't 24 hrs. If your looking for luxary this is not the place. Oh yeah do your research this location is dangeous please contact the local sheriffs department for the property reports.

RENTER BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please contact the Harris County Sherrifs office for an Investigative Report prior to contemplating on this complex. According to the sherrifs records, from April 2006 to December of 2006, the sherrif was called to the complex 17 times for burglaries, criminal mishief and cars being stolen. The management responded by telling its' residents to make sure their locks work, they have rental insurance and that they don't walk alone at night. They even offered self-defense classes. According to the apartment management, safety in the complex is the residents' responsibility. My wife's car was vandalized twice during my 8 months there and management showed no concern when I reported it to them.

Best apartment I have ever lived at!!!
I have lived here for over a year and I absolutely love it. I have lived in several apartment complexes in this area and Stone Park is by far the best. The office staff always nice and helpful and the community overall is pretty quiet. The gates are always working and the maintenance is very fast to getting anything I have ever needed done. I have even had maintenance come in on their own time to help me put together my bed and put in extra lights which i thought was extremely nice. I dont know what that other resident is talking about because from the other places I have lived this is the safest. Keep up the great work Stone Park because they do their part in keeping this place nice!!

Stone Park Apt. is the place to be if you love being robbed and love to party and get drunk.
I have lived here since April 2005 and this is the worse nightmare I have ever had! The floors and walls are so thin you can hear everything. The people above us keep us awake at all hours of the night squeeking and banging, not to mention the music, or should I say the boom, boom, boom! I have had to buy a gas cap with a lock because for the last 3 months someone has been stealing my gas from my car. The management gives loud alcoholic parties that only encourages those who love to get loud to get louder! So, if you love being robbed and love to party loud this is the place for you. As for me, I will be leaving as soon as I can!!

Lookin for a great living?
I would like to recommend this property to anyone that wants the living of an upper class of living, the landscaping and and total outlook is nice and well upkept. The attention and proper manerism of the Asst manager, and leasing agent are very well when there are questions of the property and or any problems that may be needing attention. <br>In closing i have no plans of leaving this "community" any time soon......LOOK OUT FOR PHASE II May be even better that phase I
