I agree-enough is enough
I am surprised that a new complex is full of so many low lifes. You could build a dam with all the cig butts on the ground. Speed is definitely a problem along with trashy cars that should be in a junk yard. You've got brothers, sisters, girlfriend & boyfriends all sharing 1 bedroom apts. If you are a resident, you aren't going to be able to park near your door - they are all taken by non-residents shacking up with YOUR neighbor.

You can complain all you want - but nothing ever gets done. I guess no one cares...they don't have to live here. It is like I live in the ------ and looks like it is getting worse. There are cops here off and on due to noise disturbances in the parking lot - lots of fights and swearing. The same piles of dirt that were here when I moved in are still here. The gates work most of the time, but I have been stuck outside for several minutes waiting for it to work. Of course don't forget the sesspool at the entrance for misquito's - can't wait til summer. The white building are ugly and look unfinished. No wonder there are so many empty apartments - everyone thinks they are still under construction-which they should be. The hardwood floors are nice, but not if you have a buffalo butt living above you or someone that thinks they have to stomp 24/7. You complain - but again nothing happens.

I was excited to live in a new property - now I wonder why.

I WILL NOT BE RENEWING MY LEASE.

Think Twice!
I have lived here for about 7 months and WILL NOT renew my lease when it comes up for renewal. I have been waiting for a month and a half for certain things to get fixed in my apartment and everytime I call to the office they say they are working on it. I'm still waiting! They constantly have people coming in and out of your apartment for 'construction purposes'. There are no notices on your door or no calls from the office so you do not know if the construction crews are legit or not. You would think in the turbulent times we are living in they would know about all the people murdered by people claiming to be maintenance or consturction crew men. I understand that it is necessary in new construction for some updates/repairs but for heaven's sakes!!!! Don't let people move in if you know there still are things that needed to be taken care of. You can hear your neighbors like they are sitting next to you. There are no speed bumps so people zoom through here all the time and most of the time the zooming is in loud a** cars! You would think they would have rules about that. People DO NOT clean up after their pets and even when you call to let the office know exactly who it is they do nothing about it! Also, the tan buildings are pretty but the white buildings are horrid! They look unfinsished! You would think that since you are paying so much for all these ammenities you would at least get a decent looking apartment on the outside!! One more thing that they wont tell you...this complex ACCEPTS SECTION 8 HOUSING! They won't advertise this because they don't want you to know. But let me just tell you the people that are moving in aren't the greatest! Their cars are junky and leak oil and gas all over the pavement. There is nothing wrong with being on Section 8 but the complex should advertise this so that you as the tenant can make decision as to wether or not you want to live in this sort of complex. This is all I have to say. If you decide to move here my advice is to deal with Chandra. She is the only nice one and the only one who knows what it going on and what she is doing. If you don't have to move here....DO NOT YOU WILL BE VERY UNSATISFIED!

Good area to be in
I have lived at Villas since February and can honestly say it is by far the nicest apartment I have ever lived at. I move around often because of my job and came upon this website while planning to relocate once again. I guess I am just surprized because I have had such a different experience here. I was fully informed of construction going on when I leased. I made the choice to move in anyway. Although it is a pain at times, I understand it is part of new construction. I have a children that visit and they love it here because there are lots of other kids to play with.I just wish there was more for children to do. I would recommend the Villas of Highpointe to anyone looking for a new apartment!
Rude residents is the problem here
I have lived at the Villas of Highpointe since last July. I have had nothing but wonderful dealings with the staff. They make you feel welcome and at home. I have never lived in a brand new property, especially one with the amenities offered. I love it and would stay here until I can purchase a home.

I do have to agree that there are some minor inconveniences, but they is due to a new construction property. My problems are the rude residents such as: not picking up after your LARGE DOG (nothing says good morning than stepping in a large pile of dog crap), stomping around like BIG FOOT and having furniture tossing contests in 2nd & 3rd floor units, putting trash out on days not scheduled for pickup, cigarette butts (will be the season for fires soon and heaven help us), speeding through like it is the Indy 500, and of course the normal lets just toss our trash or bottles in the parking lot-I'm too lazy to carry it inside.

It infuriates me to hear the bashing on the manager and staff. You bashers - why don't you spend a day in their shoes and see how much you like talking to brick walls. You are adults - act like it and show respect. Or better yet - why don't get off your lazy butts and clean up after yourself. You are a renter, not an owner which means you have to abide by someone's rules. Don't like that then stop complaining and buy a house and trash it - don't make the residents who want to live in a beautiful new home suffer. I'm just glad I won't be living in your neighborhood - bless the poor souls who will.

I hope if you are in the market for a new apartment home you will disregard the negativity and bashing of the staff and come out and take a look for yourself. I promise you will want to lease right there on the spot.

I'm very pleased.
I've lived here for about 6 months now. The apartments themselves are pretty awesome - the paint is nice, the floor plan is open and bright. There are nice touches here and there and the kitchen is HUGE by apartment standards with all up to date appliance. Iýve never seen a side-by-side refrigerator in any apartment. There is also crown molding everywhere and I think all the apartments have a garden tub with jets. I love the hardwood floors and being able to have a storage unit on the property. I wish they built more of them.
I will say that it seems that there is constantly something going on where they need to get into your apartment to check this or do that. Sometimes the explanations are not as complete as you might like, but it's not so bad. Just a minor annoyance. I understand that it is new construction.
The community is pretty quiet. I rarely hear my neighbors upstairs or next to me. Every once in a blue moon there is a loud party in the complex but we're close to the fire department (and I think the police too) so they usually don't last long. My one complaint is that my neighbors never pick up after their large dog. The office manager has sent several notices regarding pets and trash. Some people just refuse to follow the community policies.
The management staff is very knowledgeable. They seem short staffed but handle every situation very well and are always nice and polite anytime Iým in the office. My process went extremely smooth when I applied and Kara was always asking me if I needed anything to just call her and she would help take care of it.
Maintenance around here seems good. The complex looks neat and clean all the time and there is 3x weekly trash pick up which is GREAT. I've had only a couple of things that needed repair and it is always taken care of right away. I've never had to ask for them to come back and fix the same thing twice.
I think that pretty much covers it all. I intend to live here until I buy a house and I think living here has made me more aware of what to look for in a house. I hope I could help someone with their choice.
Don't believe everything you read
I was visting a neighbor and my neighbor was trashing the community and the manager becasue they the didn't like the pet policies. They have a large dog and don't really abide by the policies. My neighbors are not very nice to begin with. So please don't beleive everythng you read. The staff is very nice. They are just trying to follow the policies themselves.

Manager is awful
When you have a manager that is unproffesional, rude and trashy of course she is going to have a staff that sucks too. I think the management company should rethink the staff they have and then that apartment community would be awesome. But they obviously dont set a high standard for there employees. Beautiful apartments Sh*tty staff= No one moving in and unhappy residents. They obviouly dont care if anyone ever moves in.

We really love our apartment
Our family just moved into the area. We looked at several locations before looking at The Villas of Highpointe. We just happened upon it by mistake. We love the location since it is in a neighborhood. Kara, Chandra and Darrah all made us very welcome when showed up. They made the application process go very smoothly as well. We know we will really enjoy living here. The hardwood floors are very nice and we have never seen some of the features we have in other apartment communities.

NOT AS UPSCALE AS THEY SAY!
Me and my husband moved here in November. They didn't even have the apartment clean when we moved in. There was paint, dust, and dirt all over. It took them three days to come and put weather stripping on the doors and vents in the bathroom. Our air conditioner is broken and they still haven't fixed it. When we signed our lease they told us the gate would be working December 1st and they just barely got it working in March. They told us that we could rent out the clubhouse when we came to look at the apartment and then when I called them to rent it they told me that you can't rent it because it was new and they didn't want it to get dirty. The staff isn't very friendly and it's a mess around here from the construction. I wish I could get out of my lease because I am very dissappointed with this apartment complex!!!

No Way!
I just finished the reading the two negative comments and am in shock! I have lived here with my husband and son since October and love it here! Perhaps those people were ex-employees out for revenge! This is a great place to live! The staff is GREAT! I have no idea why they said what they did about Kara, the manager. She is great! We had several items that needed to be fixed in our apartment and Kara had the maintenance man out the next morning to fix the problems. There are great ammenities here! Hardwood floors throughout the apartment, granite counter tops, crown molding, side by side fridge with ice maker. How can they say there aren't ammenities? I don't know of too many apartments in this area that have all of these features. The only things I can complain about are the cars that speed through the parking lot. They need to add speed bumps! Parking is great but not many people live in my building yet. The noise level is pretty good although I can hear my neighbors when I am in my bathroom like they are standing right next to me. No one lives above us yet so I can not comment on that. Overall the grounds are kept pretty nice with the exception of the RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL people who do not pick up after their pets..but you will have that anywhere you go. I feel very safe here and reccomend this place highly!!!

Villas of Highpointe is very upscale
We just leased an apartment and the process was very smooth. We feel in love with their model. We wanted to see our apartment and it was just a beautiful. We are ecited to make The Villas of Highpointe our new home. The girls in the office were extremely busy when we came in. They made us welcome and told us to feel free to look around. We looked around and feel in love with the clubhouse. Our kids can walk to school and we have everything we need just minutes away. We would recomend this community.

Get off their back, it might be you
I've lived her for awhile and I like it. I read the other reviews and I do not agree with them. The office staff is nice. I'm glad to see the assisitant manager leave, she was so fony. I think some people give them a hard time though. My neighbor is the worst. They are very loud and never pick up after their pets. The office has tried address this issue and several others. I don't think it's the office, I think it might some of the residents. I use to work in this industry and it not as easy as it looks. Your costantly having someone complain about something. I can only imagine with a new property what kind of headaches they might have. I have cracks in my apartment but I totally understand that managment can not control these things happening. They are alway very prompt and take care of anything very quickly. Maybe the resident who wrote those comments need to be in the managers shoes or abide by the policies. Don't give them a hard time - their just doing their job.

I AGREE WITH THE "----- OF HIGHPOINTE"
THE GUY THAT WROTE THE ARTICLE ENTITLED "THE ----- OF HIGHPOINTE" WAS DEFINITELY CORRECT...THAT FAT LADY IN THE OFFICE DOES GIVE EVERYONE THAT HONKY DOREY SMIRK...SHE IS THE RUDEST OFFICE MANAGER IVE EVER MET BEFORE IN MY LIFE, AND ALTHOUGH THE APARTMENTS ARE VERY NICE, I THINK THEY ARE EXTENSIVELY OVERPRICED...AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE HERE...IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE POOR SOULS THAT ARE CONSIDERING LIVING HERE, YOU WILL SOON FIND OUT THAT THE OFFICE STAFF NEVER KEEPS THERE WORD ON ANYTHING THEY SAY...REMEMBER TO ALWAYS GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING...

THE SHITS OF HIGHPOINTE
I AM A VERY DISSAPOINTED RESIDENT. I ALWAYS LOVE MOVING INTO NEW PROPERTIES BECAUSE THEY ARE LESS OF A HASSLE THAN OLDER PROPERTIES, BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS. DOG CRAP EVERYWHERE! THIN WALLS, OFFICE STAFF NON-CARING AND WHAT FREAKING AMENETIES. ON TOP OF EVERYTHING YOU HAVE THIS BIG FAT MANAGER LADY RUNNING THE PLACE ANSWERING EVERY QUESTION YOU ASK WITH A "GET THE HELL OUT OF MY OFFICE SMIRK". I WISH I HAD SIGNED A I MONTH LEASE INSTEAD OF A FULL YEAR.
