I can't wait to move out. The property is dirty and smells like dog pee. Multiple people have complained about roaches and the staff in the office is rude half the time and never calls you back to follow up on requests. Also the apartment has so many dips in the floors and uneven spaces it feels unsafe. There is also a huge pothole in front of the exit gate that needs to be fixed. This place is run down and I have never had a worse experience living in an apartment. I will be Leaving a google review when I move

    This is the worst apartment I have ever lived in. I came here the day before moving day and found roaches and the place was not clean. Food was caked onto the cabinets and everything was dirty. There was pink mold in the bathroom. I deep cleaned this myself before bringing all my stuff in. I continued to find more roaches: some dead and some alive. Some crawling on my stove or kitchen counters. Some in the bedroom. Some in the living room. Some in the laundry room. Pest control is useless. The roaches keep coming. In my 10 years of renting apartments I've never had roaches not even when I was living in a $625/month apartment in Sherman even closer to the community trash can. In addition to the roaches, this place is LOUD. I've woken up to a domestic disturbance at 3am before and the cars here have been modified to be loud. I had to stop looking at the Ring app neighborhood notifications because there's been something like a shooting a week in this area since I moved in here. A pawn shop owner, a mother and child shot through the wall, someone in central park more recently. These are the ones I remember. The front desk team is nice and will make you feel like this is a good decision before you move in and find out how bad it is here.

      First day of move in I was given the wrong floorplan. I was picking up mail from the office four months until the mailboxes were fixed. The entry and exit gates are often broken. There's not enough parking unless you pay for it. The breezeway is often filthy. The maintenance team is great, work orders are completed within 24-48 hrs.

        I have enjoyed living here at The Avery. The community is gated, safe and clean. The maintenance people work expeditiously. The office people are professional and very helpful. The only problems are: the pool is not open until mid summer, and the fitness room has been closed for quite a while for remodeling. Other than those problems, I would recommend The Avery.

          Overall a decent place to live. Expensive for what amenities are provided. No yearly updates to the apartment space with a yearly increase of rent. Constant management changes however complex is slowly improving.

            I have lived here for 10 years at this point in 4 different apartments for various life reasons. I have always had overall positive experiences. My maintenance requests have been dealt with in a timely manner or they have communicated with me if there were delays. The office staff is responsive to concerns. The amenities are upkept, updated, and upgraded as needed. I would highly recommend this complex to anyone seeking out a smaller community located near major roads with ease for commuting.

              Maintenance and admin are very responsive and down to earth individuals. Besides the ever changing staff in the front office, residents are treated fairly and with our needs in mind. Grounds have also improved dramatically in the 6 months I've been here. Thanks for all you do teams!

                Not a good experience living here. The unit was filthy when I moved in. Carpets ruined, blinds broken, so much dirt and dust everywhere. From roaches, to loud and nasty neighbors, to rude, disrespectful and nasty office staff. The unit is old and patched up. I've had so many leaks and they just come patch it up again. They tried to stick me with a utility bill that was not mine. Then made me produce documentation for all of my utility bills. Crazy part is, I had to show proof that the utilities were in my name prior to me even receiving keys, so how? Very unnecessary. Management has changed hands 3x in the 6 months I've lived there. The only highlight is the pleasant maintenance staff. They do their best, but they can only do so much. They are always apologetic, prompt and pleasant. Unlike the office staff that always appear bothered by simple clarifying questions. So rude and so nasty.

                The community pretty quiet. The cars coming around the corner from the entry gate is going pretty fast. The entry gate is always broken. The exit gate only half always work. Overall pretty good community.

                  I am a new resident at Avery. I'm new to the area and was referred here by a friend. They are beautiful on the inside.. but that's about it. There is always trash in the breezeways, poop in every inch of grass on the property and pit bulls in every other apartment. I can't even keep my windows open because the smell of hot dog poop comes into my apartment. There are always kids running around without their parents on bikes scooters etc. I have gotten emails about kids damaging all the new stuff in the office and breaking into cars....NICE. The office staff is rude. I can hear every time my neighbor above me walks around and the office will do nothing about it. I have 3 months left in my lease and will be moving out. I wouldn't recommend this place. I'm sure there are other places just as pretty for better service.

                    I don't think I would choose these apartments again. It's recently changed management and even though the rent is paid every month, our paydays don't allow for paying on the first. I'm always getting lockout notices. The parking situation here is a joke. I have to walk all the way across the apartment complex when I have to work late because there isn't a place to park anywhere near my apartment and there's isn't any kind of enforcement for guest parking. Maintenance here sucks. They're currently trying to make it pretty on the outside, in the meantime, my air conditioning isn't working, there's a leak in the ceiling above my bathtub and every time it rains I get mold around my window sills. I've reported it on multiple occasions and- nothing. My lease is up soon and we're looking for a house . I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

                      No heat or cooling for a month now. Not to mention broken dryer and disposal. The new company took over and they wont fix anything yet my rent went up one hundred dollars. Not sure how they raise rent when I have a lease. Please don't rent here!!!!!!!!!

                        Been living here for almost two years and it's had it's ups and downs. I will say that it is improving a lot. The gates that didn't work when I first moved in for about 6 months and now up and running, the maintenance team now has 3 people instead of one when I first moved in, parking management is in place and we now have actual visitor parking so that they are not taking up all the good spots and I finally got new neighbors so I don't hear as much noise upstairs as I did before. One thing I will say about the trash is that the valet company is not great BUT the office has been doing what they can. My neighbor had a bag of trash outside their apartment and I called the asst manager who gave them a fine. Don't think they'll be leaving trash outside anymore now that they've had to pay for it! I have noticed police here every now and then but its Lewisville...... and it's definitely not as much as I saw the police at my last complex off corporate and southwest parkway. All in all, I enjoy living here. Creekside is where my kids go and the school is nice. I don't like all the middle school (possibly high school) kids that walk around late at night or hang out in the breezeway, I think parents should watch their kids more but other then that, I like it here.

                          Moving into these apartments was the worst decision I ever made. Please pay attention to the reviews because they are 100% true. I was fooled thinking they were under new management, not true. The grounds are horrible and the staff is incompetent! There is trash all over the breeze ways and they simply do not care! I have complained over a week about trash left outside someone's apartment with black stuff leaking from it for over a week. I have continuously called and emailed the staff about it and still nothing is done. There are flies flying all around and it SMELLS horrible . I can not wait until my lease is up. I hate this Place! DO not MOVE HERE!!!

                            Don't even bother renting here ! The office staff is oblivious to complaints and they don't answer the front office phone half the time. They look at you like they just want you go to away when you report any problems. As if that weren't enough, they lie about expected maintenance repair timelines. Not only that. the property owners are so greedy and cheap that they only hired 1 maintenance guy to deal with the whole complex !!! The poor guy works himself to death because the owners are too greedy to hire adequate maintenance staff. In addition to that. the owners have a nice little "kick back" scam where they FORCE you to pay for concierge front door garbage pick up, which is not reliable at all. They don't even give you the option to decline this service. I am almost certain that someone is getting a nice little kick back from the supposed vendor picking up the garbage . To top it all off, they supposedly have parking rules in place to prevent visitors from hogging prime parking spaces, but it's a joke. The staff doesn't have any plan in place to forcibly remove cars parked without a parking pass. This used to be a decent apartment complex, but not since the greedy, uncaring new property owners took over. Their only concern is having their hand out to collect the rent and making sure they don't spend money on repairs or vetting tenants.

                              This is a honest review about this place and it is no different then what everyone else is saying. This place is a dump. The management does not care about anything except your money, if you put in a work order they take it and you don't here from them unless you stay on them. But if that rent is late they are banging on your door, calling you, leaving letters etc. The place is a zoo but not in a good way. There are flying roaches that are the size of golf balls there are regular roaches. I have seen possums and skunks at night by the dumpsters. The breezeways are atrocious and unacceptable for what they charge. Your neighbors don't care about anything except for who can be the loudest. There are homeless people sleeping in cars in the parking lot. Homeless walking around at all hours asking for rides, money, or to use your phone dog poop is everywhere and the worst part is the courtyard where the kids play is riddled with poop. The pictures are pretty on their site but looks can be deceiving.

                                Do not waste you're money on these worthless apartments. I have put in about 10 maintenance requests on my dryer. I don't know why I ever assume it's fixed. I have not had a working dryer for the five months that I've been here. The staff are completely rude and incompetent. I would rather live at the Budget Suites which is filled with drug dealers and violence than live here.

                                  The office doesn't care about kids messing with your vehicles or damaging the property, at all. There was a shooting here August '16 and they still haven't removed the tenants that the shooting was at. They have HORRIBLE customer service now!! I mean HORRIBLE! They are rude, inconciderate, inconsistent, and non-commutative. They're trying to "improve" the apartments but they're only making it worse. They're making people mad that have been here for a long time-LONGER THAN THE MANAGEMENT HAS EVEN BEEN HERE, kissing butt to the people who haven't, and segregate- no joke I see more white folks at the front of the apartment than the back. People throw beer cans everywhere, torment other peoples dogs, and the apartment says "it's not our problem" This place is horrible. Don't move here. I can't wait to get the heck out of here

                                    I have lived here almost 2 yrs and this place gets worse by the minute. The grounds are always a mess. The people that pick up the trash make more trash or some days just don't come at all. The office staff sucks majorly except the asst. Mgr. Maintenance is the biggest pain of all. They don't want to fix anything and when they do its just a patch job. My water heater went out in Nov. And they didn't replace it until I damn near cussed them out in January after multiple calls into the office. My power has been going out damn near once a month for the past few months and they take their time to turn it back on instead of fixing the breaker box so that it doesn't happen again. I still have work orders open from when I moved in that haven't been fulfilled yet. I really can't wait till my lease is up so that I can get out of here. This place is no where to live. I pay damn near $1200/month for a 2/2 and can't get the slightest bit of respect.

                                      I would never suggest any of your hard earned money to pay rent into this dump. Lewisville police are always here, the dog crap is everywhere, no family picnic table for a family, you don't want to use there grill either the two on site are in the same area as the poop box. In the summer massive water bugs walk across the floor. Management, has been told about issues but 5 management later, no improvement. I have rain water coming in the front door and two window bedrooms. I here because our son goes to Crrekside Elementary. Lord bless us to get out of this hood.

                                          This is a nice community, staff is wonderful, and my apartment is great. Unfortunately Mira Vista is terrible about the up keep of the grounds. I have walked passed dog shot by neighbors door for two days down. I have lived here for 9 months now and the promise to wash the hallways to the apartments have not been done. The groundkeepers do not even come around to keep the place clean. I never invite guest over because I'm too damn embarrassed. Mira Vista grounkeepers need to be fired or and new hiring process needs to take place. I'm also including pics.. thank you

                                          I've been living at this community for just about a year, and I can say I've really enjoyed my experience here. I absolutely love my apartment and the natural light that I get, as well as the wood floors throughout. When I first signed my lease, they told me they were starting to put carpet in the apartments. I asked if I could get one with all wood, and they pulled a few strings to make sure that happened for me. The staff has always been really friendly and willing to work with me if I ever had any weird issues come up. The assistant Manager there, Neely, is fantastic, if you ever need anything or have any questions, I would definitely recommend talking to her. I must admit, although I'm not home a terrible amount, I never hear any noise from my neighbors. Everyone seems to be really to themselves. As for the maintenance, if I call, they usually show within the next hour and fix whatever I need quickly. The only reason I would move out is if I get a job out of state, otherwise I would absolutely renew my lease for another year.

                                            My wife and I just moved 17 hours from home down to Texas. This was a completely new town, apartment and all so this was a major change for us. The management was very willing to assist us and walk is through any questions we had, maintenance is very fast to get their work done, very fast and friendly. Management is quick to respond and they're beginning to issue stickers to help with others who come in and take up residents spots. If you have an opportunity to get this place do it now ! They're working towards really great changes and keeping all residents in the loop !

                                              I've been living here for a very long time. 7 years. The very first management was great! I absolutely adore them. But management has changed so many times, I lost count. Some very bad, some ok but our current management is trying very hard to bring this place back to its glory. I really like them, especially Stephanie. She is super nice. I live in a third floor so obviously noise isn't an issue. I used to live on a first floor and I just had to deal with it. The one thing and it's more fault of the residents is the dog poop. WHY?! Why can't some dog owners pick after their pets? I hate seeing maintenance picking it up. In conclusion I like where I live.
