The Pavilions at North Shore are the best apartments in Portland. They offer the nicest apartments located in the safest community. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Debra and Amber were so nice and went out of their way to help me choose an apartment. I highly recommend these apartments for their overall quality and the services provided as well as the helpful and very nice staff!

The Pavilions at NorthShore is first class in every regard. The attention to detail and genuine concern for the residents of the property separate this complex from the rest. I have been impressed time and time again by the above and beyond attitude of the Management team, and the support staff. These are things that often go unnoticed and are taken for granted, however at the Pavilions of Northshore everything is coordinated and comes off in a seamless fashion and extremely efficient manner. As a professional with heavy travel involved with my role, it's comforting and refreshing to know that the team at the Pavilions are looking out for my and my fellow residents best interest. Worth every penny and nothing is comparable in the market.

The office staff for the Pavilions are top notch. I work all week from early in the morning until late at night. Whenever I would have a package that needed to be picked up the staff would accomadate me and pick up the package for me. You can't get staff like that at any other apartment complex. The apartments themselves are some of the newer ones that I have seen since moving to South Texas. Most apartments in this area are run down and have an odor, but I am satisfied with the apartment that I have. The office staff was even able to move me in at an earlier date at the last minute, which really saved me a couple headaches. I have no trouble finding a parking spot and the gym is open 24 hours a day. Would recommend!

Gracious southern hospitality is what I will remember most about my family's stay at the North Shore and Pavilion apartments. From the very first moment we stepped into the office, the professionalism and courtesy of the staff made us feel welcome and best of all, at home. The apartment we were shown and accepted was clean and ready to go when we saw it. The grounds and parking areas were well maintained and we selected a nearby garage. During our stay, whatever maintenance issues arose, were handled quickly by the friendly and competent maintenance people. We made some use of the beautiful pool and exercise room and found each to be clean and a joy to use. Our stay at another apartment complex in Portland, had none of these things mentioned above going for it. This one cost a bit more, but has been worth it in so many ways. Circumstances required me to leave my family for sometimes weeks at a time. I would leave knowing each of the staff, in their own way, would watch over my family and make them feel safe and secure. This great staff has made all the difference. This is what separates the North Shore and Pavilion apartment homes from any other choice in Portland or the Corpus Christi area.

If you are shopping for places to rent in Portland, be sure to visit Northshore. The grounds are well maintained, the units are well-kept and most importantly the staff is awesome! From the property manager and office staff to the maintenance crew, I've experienced nothing but courteous and professional staff members who are prompt and efficient in taking care of any needs that arise!

I recently relocated from Houston, TX. to Portland for work - the move was a surprise so the time I had available to find suitable living arrangements was short. I called North Shore and spoke with Tracy initially, they unfortunately did not have anything available but she promised she would call if anything came up .. and let me tell you, when she gives you her word she stands by it. The next day I received a phone call and shortly after began submitting the proper paper work to become a resident for exactly what I requested. I then drove down to see the apartment and spoke with Amber who is the apartment manager - Amber picked up right where Tracy left off and had me in the apartment sooner than expected. This was an absolute lifesaver for me. I told her I was living in a hotel and her response was 'not if I have anything to do with it' .. less than 2 weeks of calling I had the keys to my apartment; Clean, inspected and very livable. No matter the issue - Amber, Tracy, Emily and Heather will go above and beyond to make sure the residences are happy. To me this is a breath of fresh air; it is rare to find people who truly care about what they do and it shows in their dedication. The grounds men are friendly and always busy making sure the buildings are in top notch condition if a problem comes up, I feel confident that the solution is just a phone call away. I have not seen them get tough on anyone, but for the most part I do what is expected of me as I have an obligation to pay my bills. They even let me bug them a few times a week just to chat (I don t even think they like me but they still smile and laugh at my jokes! :P ). The area is beautiful and the amenities surrounding the location are great. For business people relocating temporarily or permanently I would highly recommend North Shore Pavilions/Landings.

I have lived here for about 3 years now and I don't understand how someone could be upset or think poorly of the staff here or the grounds themselves; even the maintence guy here is cool and helpful on a regular basis! Amber and Tracy are always smiling faces and pleasant to deal with. I've never had a bad experience when dealing with anyone in the complex, staff or resident. The staff can be firm if need to be, but if they dont have a reason to, they'd much rather be smiling and pleasant. The complex is top notch (I've lived in MANY apartments in San Antonio, including some that were much more expensive than here and no place has impressed me with the grounds OR the staff nearly as much), the mandatory things like inspecting/servicing fire extinguishers and pest control spraying are quick and painless (even the people that do these things are pleasant!). I suppose that, yea, if you were chronically late with your rent, completely rude to them and/or your neighbors, and didnt take care of your apartment AT ALL (i.e. let your kid throw spaghetti sauce all over the place and leave it there for your entire lease) they would hassle you a bit; but c'mon, imagine what you would do to someone who destroyed the stuff you are responible for and then complained about you being unfair because you were upset... Moral of review: best apartment complex pretty much ever. Yes, it is pretty expensive, but seriously, it's more than worth the difference in price from any other complex in the area by far. Be at least moderately courteous, decently respectful and not chronically SUPER late with your rent and you have _nothing_ to worry about here; they will take care of you. The only reason there arent more good reviews is that they dont ask for them and people dont think about saying something nice when everything is going well; they only think about complaining about something that is often their fault to begin with.

I lived here for 2 years and it was by far the worst experience i have ever had in an apartment. the owners are rude and stuck up and completely ridiculous. The female owner Anna PUSHED through me one time to enter my apartment without my permission. The girls in the office have NO CLUE what they are doing. rent is too high for the apartment i mean i know that it wasnt going to be cheap but almost a thousand dollars for a one bedroom with nothing including is a bit extreme! moving was the most frustrating experience ive had in a long time, they tried to do a walk through with me on the 29th and wanted me out by then when my lease said i hadf till the 31st because the 29th was "just more convient for them"! give me a break! Amber and Anna both are manipulative and VERY rude! they were constantly asking for money and when i would tell them i can have it when i get paid they would threaten to evict me overnight! please please whatever you do, dont let the pretty building and nice pool suck you in! its completely decieving! i had a garage as well that i paid $75 a month for and one more than one occasion i came to my garage to find that personal belongings of mine were gone and when i went to the office to see where they were because ONLY maintenance had access to my garage they simply said "we dont know what happened, we're sorry". terrible, terrbile place to live! BEWARE!!!!!

Worst Apartments EVER...TERRIBLE OWNERS
First off We lived here for 2 years with little problems. The managements changes at least 4 times. Each time it changed we would get a letter stating we owed money. I would call the office and they would say it was a mistake. When we put in our notice to move they begged us to stay. Then when we did move out the owner's wife was inside our apartment unauthorized(which is illegal) taking out stuff. Other tenants have had the same issues on move out. Landscapers and other contractors that do work for the apartments stated they would cash the checks given to them at their bank because they have been known to bounce checks. Bottom Line. Terrible Management

Great place to live.
I have lived at North Shore Landing for the past two years and cannot say enough good things about them. During my stay, no matter what problems arose (and there were only a few) the staff was always there to assist, repair, or replace. The property is very well maintained inside and out. I always felt "in the know" with their informative emails regarding pest control, rent, or an other information regarding the apartment community. I have recommended North Shore Landing to my friends in the past and will continue to do so.

You won't be disappointed
I've read the negative reviews. For the most part, I'd guess those making a negative review are lacking some basic knowledge about the real world. First, in coastal Texas, there are lots of bugs. It's warm here most if the year. They allow pets, for an additional cost, I think. Pets attract more bugs. If spraying isn't enough in 3 month cycles, then go to Walmart and by some Home Defense bug spray and do it yourself. Also, if your apartment is dirty before you move in, don't move in and demand another place. I have lived in a downstairs apartment for the last year and it's tolerable, just remember, these apartments and The Pavilions are the best in Portland and the gates make them the most secure and quiet. Another thing - read the lease agreement! Everything you need to know to be able to work with management and have a pleasant experience - is in there. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, as long as you understand your rights and limitations under the lease. I've bought a house and will move out soon. If I had to find apartment again, I'd go back!!!!!!'

Awesome Place, Even Better People
This place is in a very nice location along with plenty amenities. (2 gated swimming pools, 2 indoor gym facilities, plus it's located literally 30 seconds away from the Northshore Golf Course.) Most of all, the staff is extremely helpful and caring. I want to say thank you to the entire staff at Northshore Landing... They went above and beyond to help me get moved in while making me feel right at home "within a 24 hour notice". I am really looking forward to my stay here. Thanks Again!

Stay away!
This is the worst apartment I have ever stayed in; starting from the rude and offensive owners to the cockroaches and mice infestations in the rooms. I cant believe this apartment building is still in business; the gym has broken equipment and when complaints were made nothing was EVER fixed in the gym. The pool was often locked over the weekend for no apparent reason. I will never stay at this location ever again and I advise anyone considering to look elsewhere.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!
When we first looked at this property we thought they were so nice and couldn't wait to move in. The owner wanted 800 dollars up front and two hundred of it was refundable due to our credit. These apartments have a weird layout. The master closet is in the guest bathroom and the master bathrooms is so small with a small closet that's not a walking. You can hear everything the people upstairs are doing. Stomping, closing doors, tv. There are a ton of bugs. We've got spiders, roaches and silverfish. Can't seem to get rid of them. The ants r so bad. They hv gotten up into my car. Twice I've had a ant infestation in my car! Every time we talk to the office about it they tell us they just sprayed which I think is funny cause I'm home everyday all day with my kids and they never have come the whole 6 months we've been here. The sinks all stop up and flood with water. When it rains the parkinglot looks like a swimming pool. Fills up with like two or three inches of water. The guys who cut the grass only comes once a week and when they blow stuff off the cement all the dirt and crap gets blown under the front door actually coming into the apartment. Its horrible. The ladies in the office are stuck up and are so rude. The owner is a money hungry moron. He got pissed off at one tenant for a satellite reason and is taking it out on the other residents. No one is allowed to have any kind of satellite dish you can only have cobridge and cobridge sucks! There are residents who already have satellites and he isn't making them get rid of them. Its no fair. Its a monopoly. There isn't a bathroom near the pool area. I hate living here, can't wait to move.

Horrible experience!
Looks can be deceiving. I lived at a North Shore apartment for over a year and had a horrible experience. Especially when the manager Lyne left. Tracie and Emily were great but the lady Anna who I think is the owner is rude and unethical. And watch out if you have a deposit. They never return deposits as required by law and rarely leave a note when they enter your apartment. They write hot checks and don't pay their bills.

Unethical and unacceptable business practices
On 7/27 at 4:00 pm I received notice on my door that someone would be by the following day to walk my apartment. I called the office and requested they wait until monday, since I'm still packing and haven't even had a chance to clean. The office worker refused to work with me. The following day, with no prior call or warning, they banged on my door. I let them in, but requested they be quick and quiet, since my teething 7.5 month old had just laid down for a nap. The owner's wife, who has issues with me for personal reasons relating to me previously having been employed by their company and quitting, with 3 week notice due to their unethical business practices, was brash, rude, and had no respect for my sleeping child. I asked her to leave repeatedly and almost had to call the police. I worked here for 2 years, in that time, we were asked to lie to residents, withhold deposits past the time allowed by law, were give hot checks on a regular basis, and if they weren't hot, they were at least late. As a complex, they will hold your rent check anytime there is a holiday weekend, I've had checks not post until the 15th before. Do not rent from these people. Nothing will get fixed in a timely manner, they are rude and unprofessional. I am so thankful to finally be moving out and into my own home.

Avoid this disaster
Yes. Worst part of this place is that you have to deal with the owner's wife. A very old lady who was very rude and had no idea about customer service. Don't get fooled by well kept lawn. Just like me you will be disappointed by living there. Huge rent is not worth for these apartments. Pavillions and North shore landing are run by the same management and are the same. Expect worst service from the office staff and management. Read your lease carefully. They will keep or charge you $150.00 while moving out even if there were no issues with the appartment. Its admininstration fee!!!. Get ready to pay surprise utility bill (electric)if you plan to rent a garage as it was not mentioned in the lease. They do not have insulation against noises from up stairs appartments. You will wake up due to walking sound or listen to radio /TV from people living upstairs. They will collect your large envelopes and will not let you know. Work requests will not be considered in a timely manner. But maintanance people are nice. Parking lot will be a mini lake after each rain. It will take too long to get the water drained. From early spring to early winter get ready to fight with mosquitos. Huge helicopter size mosquitos will chase you from the parking lot to your apartment. Keep repellent handy all the time. Expect huge electric and utility bills. Water, waste water, trash, admin, service fees could be $150.0/month. Only one cable /internet provider. So huge bills. Dog feces every where. No body picks it. Watch your step for it. Ants, cockroaches will invade your place any time. Pest control is a joke. Entire portland will be at the pool during summer. You will see a rent increase very soon if you plan to sign a lease every 6 months. Gates were left opened many times. Any one can come in without a problem. Not safe for kids. Watch for large dogs that roam around. No play place for kids.

Not worth the high bills
You will pay through the nose to live in these apartments where the gate methodically breaks down; security in the summer is a joke with people from all over Portland driving through the broken gate or waiting until another car drives up and then bringing their parties to the pool; hot tub has not worked in a year, but is still listed as an amenity; ants in the microwave; ants in the closet; mold in the air vents; high water bills; high electricity bills; no choice in cable company (Charter), so high cable bills; dog poop all over the grass; poor visibility and inadequate parking; flooding in parking lot; pest control enters your apartment after one quick knock; no bathroom at the pool area.

Office Staff is Incompetent
The appartment staff was 4 months late in sending me my deposit check...and then when it arrived it bounced. I called once a week for all 4 months, but was given the run around "that person left us", "our computer system was completely wiped", "i dont have signing authority" were some of the many excuses. Also the layout is such that you cannot see kids that dart onto the street because of how the cars are parked along the road. There are no elevators, and if youre on the bottom floor you will hear the people above. Also "gated community" is a joke, the door gates were broke for my whole 10 month stay, and the gates do not open if the power goes out...so good luck getting to work (happened 3 times during my stay). Btw, this goes for North Shore landing too, it's the same staff/setup/location.

Good enough
The aprartments are nice and the crown modeling adds an element usually not seen in apartments, but you usually don't see mold in the air vents and ants crawling across your floor either. Every summer the ants invade the ground floor apartments and management isn't in any hurry to help. They quote "there is a regular spraying schedule for the problem", but when there are ten ant hills outside your area..ummm hello...it's a problem. My ex-neighbor and I started treating them ourselves but in a community property you run the risk of kids or other people's pets getting into the pesticide. The apartments on the end are not ventilated correctly or something. The master bath stayed wet and everything always grew mold. We just stopped using it much and threw out the moldy clothes from the closet. My husband and I are so pleased to be away from that headache since the apartment management would not try to help figure out what was causing the problem. I even took my air exchange cover to the office one day to show them how bad the problem was. They were more than glad to tell me who could come fix it, but that I would be responsible for the bill. Wait that's one reason I live in an apartment. You (management) take care of maintenance issues. Management lacks professional manner and don't ever sign that you can have packages delivered to the office. They just leave them unattended and available for people to take and the delivery guys don't even leave the tags for you to know you have a package and management sure isn't going to let you know, even if the package sits in their office for two months. My sister had sent some cheese to us "MARKED PERISHABLE" and they just let it sit there. NO courtesy at all. I am sure they would tell you they are busy but there were numerous ocassions I have walked in to pay rent where they just seem to be sitting there. Customer service goes a long way to pleasing tenants. On the surface looks like a nice place but the obvious water leaks draining into the parking lots and sloppy management would make me pass on this place if I ever moved back to Portland.

Very Nice
It was my first experience as living in an apartment community and I was completely surprised at what a nice experience it was. The staff made me feel completely welcome and went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I felt at home. The exterior and interior were very well maintained. The whole community itself was very friendly and my privacy was well respected. If I ever need to lease an apartment again, I would choose North Shore Landing or their sister property accross the street the Pavilions.

The Best
I have lived in a lot of apartment communities and this was one of the better ones by far. I moved here from BridgePoint Landing on Lang (they were the worst) and the ladies at the Pavilions got everything done for us in a hurry and got us in immediately, which was needed after being at BridgePoint. I never had any issues while living here, which I had once a week at BridgePoint. They are very friendly and understanding. I really can't praise them enough, oh and after two weeks you will get over one bathroom being larger than the other it was really not a big deal. I felt the community was very quiet and very safe.
